681  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 25, 2016, 10:19:57 AM
When investing you are risking a lot and you might end up having nothing. But it's also not so easy to just save your money - they might be stolen or they might lose their value. So think twice before making a decision. I think it's better to just save.

it depends on where you invest your money in. if you put your money into hyip's and other obvious scams just because they offer "high returns" then you'll surely end up on the losing side. if you stick to holding your coins safely in cold storage, then there is not much that can go wrong. holding bitcoin is probably the least risky form of investing. just make sure you're not panic selling when the price does happen to go down. just relax and everything will be just fine.
682  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - Time to buy? Time to sell? on: July 25, 2016, 09:40:41 AM
i think its good time to buy more bitcoin because bitcoin rise up its price too much faster day by day and bitcoin will be more stronger and powerful currency in the world than other currency .

The bitcoin price should rise in the next few years when more people start to use it, so it is better to buy now.

the price will rise slowly throughout the years. a lot people may not even notice the growth as they focus too much on peaks and stuff. these people will also be the first to start complaining that the price didn't go up much, while in fact the price has gone up like 50% if you look at the longer term charts. that's however something they don't see.
683  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening? on: July 25, 2016, 09:31:23 AM
I assume that the price increase before the halving was in anticipation of the halving. Since everyone know when it would happen, we didn't see the bump at the halving, but gradually for a couple of months before.

What was to be expected, happened. The price ran upto a price profitable for miners.
At this moment we can only wait and see what will happen after the holidays, because I don't expect anything big in august.

The Core client with the SegWit will be released soon, if that is in August, that would be a very big news.

people already know about it, so it can't be seen as big news anymore. maybe that the price will go up around $100 once it is implemented, but that would be it.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KickAss owner was using Coinbase as his bitcoin wallet!!!!! on: July 24, 2016, 03:37:41 PM
What's funny is that he never really did try to hide his IP when he's buying song, and he's buying them, in contrast to owning a site for piracy. LMAO

This news might have a big effect on Coinbase, as it may be a proof that coinbase is indeed working with the government or is run by the government.

if governments force an exchange to release personal information about one of their customers, then the exchange must cooperate. that's why i always mix the coins that i withdraw from exchanges.
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will bitcoin survive? on: July 24, 2016, 03:17:09 PM
Now bitcoin has got its roots firmed in the world financial system, now we cannot think that bitcoin will disappear from among us, now bitcoin is going to become a normal currency of the world. so it will survive for longer.
Once the userbase of bitcoin increases there will also be many challenges that bitcoin will need to overcome before it can become a normal currency.

one important thing is to increase the block size to 2mb as that will be enough for the coming 2 to 4 years. and maybe that the core developers will also release a light weight wallet. and yes, i know there are already light weight wallets from other parties.
686  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's Price Starting to Go Up.... on: July 24, 2016, 02:35:39 PM
The price is stabilizing, maybe this year there will be no peaks as there were near to the halving, but next two years there are good chances.

i am already happy if we manage to see the price settle above the $700 price level for the rest of this year. that would be a great achievement. right now the price can go into any direction as the sentiment seem to be neutral.
687  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: July 24, 2016, 01:12:06 PM
Yup if it reaches to your satisfactory level then I think you should sell your coins without any hesitation and that is the best way to play with your coins.

Some people prefer not to sell anything at all. It is not about satisfactory or the exchange rate of their preference however it is more about believing in bitcoin, some people believe that it hasnt shown its full potential yet therefore keeping it all the time is one kind of things that only believer would only do

I am one of those people. To me it makes no sense of selling my coins while bitcoin is low. At best we can or should hold to see a realistic value.

the current price is realistic. if you bought your coins around the $350 price level, and kept holding till now, then you can sell and secure profits without any problems since you made a very good profit. if you bought your coins at $630 and the price right now is $650, then it's of course different. then it's not worth to sell your coins at such prices.
688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be stable in 2020 on: July 24, 2016, 12:27:47 PM
i think bitcoin will be more popular in 2020 and large number of people will be investing their money into bitcoin and then i hope that in the end of 2020 bitcoin will be start rise up its price too much faster .

bitcoin is growing year on year, so it's fairly easy/safe to assume it will continue to grow in the upcoming years. i hope that the people that are going to adopt bitcoin will actually start investing in bitcoin instead of chasing faucet dust and other things that don't add any value to the overall price.
689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins have Tax?? on: July 23, 2016, 03:19:23 PM
i think bitcoin do not have any tax . because bitcoin is not approve by any government .

governments do recognize bitcoin as being part of your "normal" fiat holdings. as with all the things you do, you also need to pay tax over what you own in btc. if you keep everything you have in btc hidden away from the government, then there is nothing they can do, and thus you avoid paying tax over your coins.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: Unable to break $400 on: July 23, 2016, 03:01:05 PM

Slow rise of the bitcoin price is good for the adoption and to be used as a currency. 3% per month rise is good.

If the bitcoin price rises too high, like it did in late 2013, there will be long term bear market following.

while i agree with you that a quick price increase isn't the best increase that you can have when you are long term minded, it doesn't mean that it will result in a long lasting bear market. the previous bear market was the result of bad news after bad news. it had nothing to do with the price going up high.
691  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to sell? Or to buy? on: July 23, 2016, 02:41:55 PM
If you have bought it at a lower price like 450-550 then you have the option to sell it but if you bought it the price range of 700+ from last week then just wait. I have trust that this bitcoin will rapidly rise on the last week before halving. Calm before the storm though. Patience. Wink

Don't bank on the price rising to 700+ this year, maybe as the next halving approaches in Dec 2019, the price will once again start to surge. 2020, bitcoins will most likely hit $1000.

you're being way too conservative here. $700 will surely be reached this year with maybe a peak all the way to $800 as the best case scenario.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do bitcoin accepted in your country? on: July 23, 2016, 01:37:33 PM
when it comes to online merchants in my country accepting bitcoin as payment tool, then there are quite a few. but when it comes to local businesses accepting bitcoin, then there are barely any. there are 2 bars where you can pay with bitcoin for your beer and other drinks, but you'll need to drive around 30 kilometers to get there. i have been there once just to see how it is, but never again as it's not worth it for me to drive there for a few beers.
693  Other / Off-topic / Re: What value does Bitcoin bring to you? on: July 23, 2016, 01:22:38 PM
bitcoin brings me this.

# it allows me to store my money outside the reach of banks and governments.
# it allows me to instantly send any amount that i want to anywhere in the world.
# it allows me to make more than decent profits with trading and also makes my wealth grow by holding coins in cold storage.

i am the full owner of everything with bitcoin. no one can tell me what to do. this is the kind of freedom i have always been looking for.
694  Economy / Speculation / Re: $500 Within 2 Months? on: July 23, 2016, 12:51:04 PM
Am I the only one that think bitcoin will reach $500 within the next two months?

i hope that happen sooner bro  Grin

i hope that you are realizing that you are reacting to some one that wrote his post at the time the price was slightly over the $400 price level.
695  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 23, 2016, 12:43:27 PM
better to invest in bitcoin, gold maybe more secure, but bitcoin has more potential to grow

saving money in the bank, will only mean losing them in the long-term with the current high inflation

I would think bitcoin operates under the same guise, if you look recently into bitcoin it gained fame becausse of how expensive it was (Like over 1000$) but now it has tanked way below that, because of the overabundance, and therefore a type of inflation.  I would think investing in something more physical would be worthwhile, instead of money type things.  Like a house, it may dip a lot but it will always come back up, you just have to be patient.
Well, that is your decision and anyway we are taking the risk, I believe that any investment after any crisis are more stronger, just like what happen to bitcoin , we fall when the price reach $1,000 but now we are slowly going back the previously peak amount and fall back will not happen anymore.

Investing in bitcoin would not be a bad option actually as the price is increasing right now so if someone invest his money in bitcoin for saving them in future he might get it doubled after sometime when the price goes higher.

if you are holding your coins long enough, then you'll surely get to see your coins double in value. however, not many people have enough patience and dedication to keep holding for that long. it's easy to say 'i will hold my coins till $1000 or $2000 before selling them', but the majority of the people will sell their coins as soon as they see they have made around 20-30% of profit. a very tiny percentage of the holders will find themself doubling their money due to holding. only the real holders can.
696  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: July 23, 2016, 12:18:45 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?
It's still be popular if all people just want to use bitcoin for easy transaction send , receive bitcoin.the bad thing about this if it will happen the ttraders don't want a stable price so subtracted investor will happen and the price of it is so low.and the other remain is the people who want to use bitcoin only for transaction.
In the future the majority number of users will not be the investors, when bitcoin will be popular that would mean that merchants will adopt and bitcoin will be solely use as payment processor for large volume of adopters with bitcoin.

bitcoin is already popular as its userbase is growing and growing. that aside, having a lot merchants that are accepting bitcoin is great and all, but people are waiting for the day that their local businesses start accepting bitcoin. that's how you get people to spend their coins. also, trading/investing will always be the major aspect of bitcoin. nothing will change that.
697  Economy / Economics / Re: How can you earn 5% interest daily on your bitcoins? on: July 23, 2016, 12:09:47 PM
everyone here is looking for a legit way to make that much interest in a day. i am doing day trading and make around 10% per month on average. this is without much volatility. with volatility i can make a much better profit. the only thing i can advice you is to do the same thing as me, day trading. other than that there is nothing that gives you such returns. and btw, i am solely trading btc/usd.
698  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you always missed the right time to sell/buy bitcoin? on: July 22, 2016, 04:33:56 PM
Timing is relly important for trading succes. But i consider that is more importand understand when need to close a trade. Timing in close could move a profit to a loss, so is always important to fix taget price and stop loss.

Timing is key, and just the last pump i was able to make a very good profit by holding 30 bitcoin before the pump started.
On most other occasion I always missed the boat. Finally my luck has turned.

the best thing of mistakes and missed opportunities is the fact that you learn from them. at least, normal people do. patience and knowledge are the key to success. i also managed to benefit greatly from the recent rally that stopped just below the $800 price level. i kept buying and buying since 2015, and kept holding till the recent rally. and look now, i am very happy with the profits that i made.
699  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: July 22, 2016, 04:18:36 PM
I don't think there is any difference between investing and saving. this two things compliment each other. We invest to get an extra return after sometime and we save for our future and unforeseen expenses. Therefore, if you have some coins, you can invest so that you can a profit after sometime and also save just in case there will be unforeseen circumstances.
The two has a good ending result, they both making profit. It has diffirence, investing will be more risky but the profit is way faster while saving is less risky but the profit will be slower.

savings don't have any risks as the money that you have is secured up to $100,000. for people that have more money than that, and the bank goes bankrupt, then everything above that amount is gone. and beside that, interest rates on savings are far below 1% here where i live. saving is good for the purpose of having money for when you need it, but not for the interest.
700  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you Still believe in Fiat? on: July 22, 2016, 04:03:10 PM
Fiat currency is used in our daily life.We do transaction in fiat in our day to day life,we cannot survive without it.
So weather we believe in it or not we cannot survive via fiat currency.
But still i believe in fiat and its future also i dont think crypto-currecies can ever take its place no matter how popular it become.

it's true that we can't without fiat money the way the entire world economy is shaped. however, i don't believe in fiat as it will only make your wealth be worth less year after year. that's why i am extremely happy that we have bitcoin to use as investment tool and store of wealth. this way we prevent that our wealth is decreasing in value while the amount of fiat that you hold stays the same. people should act now.
