Honestly, it's hard to keep in mind those things and stuff listed.

Why not just go with the flow and let the newbies feel all the related things that they will experience while gambling?

Believe me, the majority of good and experienced gamblers didn't even read those stuff when they started gambling. Just be responsible enough as much as we can.
682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 24, 2023, 11:54:36 PM

Nice game though for the PH Team. What an impressive performance too on Justin Brownlee's debut game wearing the Gilas jersey.

Although the result doesn't have any impact on the status of both countries at the FIBA World, good to see that the PH team is doing well. Of course, the pressure on the international stage is different but at least defeating a strong Asian country like Lebanon, is already a big deal.

The next qualifier game of the PH team will be against Jordan on Monday, January 27. Expecting a jampack Philippine Arena once again.
683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game that you suffer consistent losses but still keep playing? on: February 24, 2023, 11:51:11 PM

It depends on the casino game. Even let's say I suffer consistently loses at that certain casino but also do win decently in my overall history playing there, I will really keep coming back to that casino and try my luck, regardless of everything.

After all, who knows if luck will come again playing at that casino, and that is always possible as far as my experience is concerned.

In the event that all experience I suffer from that casino game is always losing, I'd rather ignore that casino game for a lifetime.
684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 24, 2023, 11:48:51 PM
Well, in every fight, a fighter could up their game depending on their drive which is more likely from their previous fights. But if we would base on stats, this could be a toe-to-tose or a close match even if they have different fighting styles. The heartbreaker is a heavy puncher and is more agressive but Magnifico has the speed over Figuerroa. This would be interesting for sure because they are fighting for a vacant belt. Both are eager for the spotlight given that their previous fights didn't turn out to be as what they have expected. Hard to guess to be honest but for this fight I guess edge is on The heartbreaker. Outcome probably is by unanimous decision.

Same thoughts. The possible turning point of this match will depend on how good the execution of their respective strategy is.

Even bookies provide a distant gap on their odds, with Figueroa as a heavy favorite, and Magsayo, on the other hand, is the underdog, I don't really think that way even for let's say not being biased for the PH boxer.

Regardless of everything, the result will just be known on the actual date of this fight. Let's see how this fight will go.
685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 23, 2023, 11:59:48 PM
Meralco played well though most of us will see it as sagid kapamilya game but still performance wise Meralco gives the fans the entertainment that they really wanted from the team that put their bets with, congrats to those who managed to put their bets either because they believe that Meralco can beat NLEX or the point that Meralco needs the win and the sister company can provide the help
to make sure that they are still in the series and will have the chance to move to the next round.

The next game favors those who take the risk of taking the handicap. The game ended up not with double digit lead but a single digit and let the bettors win.
Meralco did a great job on this but the way NLEX played the game, its an obvious help to their sister company to stay alive in the computation and we cannot blame the fans to see the game like this because Meralco needs a win and I’m sure other teams are doing this as well to help their sister company all throughout. Surprisingly, Converge only won by 8 points which I think Blackwater did a great job on this game despite of the loss.

This "sagip-kapamilya" thing is just hearsay for me and I don't believe that they will intentionally give the game to its opponent. I have post last night that this NLEX-Meralco game will be catchy as the spread for the favorite to win is not too high maybe because Bolts is below in the standing than NLEX but if you think of it, Meralco has the better import in McDaniels.

Surprisingly there are no scheduled games today, why is that? Anyone knows why, today is a Friday.

And watching the game seems not appropriate to consider that as "sagip-kapamilya" as just watching, we should easily able to understand that something wrong is going on. But yes, hearsay like that will remain speculation forever.

Regardless though, it seems that the final seeding will be tough and I want to see that kind of competition.

I thought the reason why no Friday games is related to Gilas windows games but surprises that we have a double-header tomorrow, Sunday.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 23, 2023, 11:59:27 PM
So yes, all they have is a verbal agreement for both boxers and both camps that indeed they will be having a fight in Japan somewhere in May. And from what I read about the other sources, Bob Arum mentioned that all negotiations are being handled by their Japanese counterpart and Arum's role is to oversee about it as he's nothing to worry about what's happening behind the scenes because it's not his first time negotiating with Inoue's main team. But for Al Haymon of the PBC, he's not making any noise and it seems that he's just letting Fulton do what he wanted as long as they have the bigger slice.

Yes. this is the recent update and just waiting for the final date.

But looking at some other bookies, there's already a date established which is May.

Not until there will be final announcement right straight at the Top Rank's camp, I will just update the thread later on.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 23, 2023, 11:58:05 PM
The promotion I think wanted to see him up there in the ring and defend the title while the best in this division but it's still risky when he is challenged by a younger contender. This match makes sports betting more like guessing.

The fact that Donaire is still on the top ranking even at his current age, that's the reason why he is still getting good opportunities like this.

Regardless if the promoters wanted to see him in the ring or not, he is really bound to have a mandatory fight.

He's not being challenged though by young boxers but just doing the task he was assigned for.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Make Big Money at the Casino — Without Gambling on: February 23, 2023, 11:55:32 PM

What the f*ck did I just read lol. Cheesy

Interesting topic and kind of funny but yes, seriously if I will consider doing one of those, maybe the best one for me is to just rob the place.

Well then, good luck on our group though in an attempt to rob those casinos as that would be hard knowing casinos are using chips and not actual money.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 20, 2023, 11:59:56 PM

I encountered a Facebook post from the sports page that John Riel Casimero is now ranked #5 in the Super Bantamweight in WBO.

But checking the current rankings, he is still not ranked by the WBO and still, only WBC ranked him. I don't know if that's just a made-up article lol.

I would be happy if that happened since Casimero is now getting an inch closer to a possible title match.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 20, 2023, 11:59:48 PM

I don't like how the PBA All-Star draft turned out. Seems to me that they lack bringing new ideas to that event.

Copying the style of the NBA All-Star draft, PBA should at least stick to the system they are using since then.

Even the tossed coin is like a Brgy. level system lol. Hopefully, though that the All-Star game will be entertaining and not turn into a shooting spree with no defense. Playing hard is what fans like as it was more entertaining to watch.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 20, 2023, 11:59:13 PM
Obviously, Errol Spence doesn't want his record to have a blemish, any boxer with a perfect record will always be wanted to preserve that, the only question is, if they have the capability.

Too much protecting the record to the point that he avoids fighting Crawford lol.

Instead, he moved up weight and fight an inactive boxer which is not even close to his style and competition.

Regardless though, I hope that there's no under-the-table here (if you know what I mean) and Thurman will be serious enough to pin down Spence on the canvass no matter how difficult it is to do so.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 20, 2023, 11:58:39 PM

Nice odds for Mark Magsayo. I will surely bet on the Moneyline for him.

I also don't see why the gap of odds turned out like that but yes, it seems bookies treat Magsayo as really the heavy underdog. It's not the first time though that a PH boxer is considered a heavy underdog and it's a good chance for Magsayo to erase that analysis about him.

Figueora has a height and reach advantage which can be compare to the advantage of Rey Vargas and that's what Magsayo is not used to fighting with. But with Magsayo's experience dealing with that, I'm sure he already has a plan for how to counter Figueroa, and the right timing is the only concern.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 20, 2023, 11:57:30 PM
But once the Monster has adjusted and see what Fulton is doing, he might executed his favorite straight right and then jab his way to the body and soften Fulton and take him out in the later part of the round for a TKO/KO victory.

That's what the Monster is capable of, adjusting on the phase of the fight then boom, will dominate his opponent later on. That's how dangerous he is.

Remember when he is struggling against Donaire during their first match, the monster remains calm and tries to keep up with that fight even after suffering already a serious injury in the early rounds. He takes time to adjust then later on, he came back stronger in the later rounds and won.

If Fulton will able to put Inoue in a struggling mode in the early rounds, for sure the Monster will able to bounce back in the later rounds, not unless Fulton will keep that early momentum until the end.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 20, 2023, 11:53:56 PM
I completely agree. Nonito Donaire might be older but in boxing, that makes little difference. This is not football, where each tiny bit of physical endurance is essential. This is more about strength, experience and skill, which Donaire has heaps of. People put way too much importance on age and completely ignore the fact that legendary boxers like Donaire have an amazing track record which has not wavered much. I also am betting on Donaire this fight.

And the fact that we are talking about Bantamweight here, this is Donaire's forte. It's just that Nonito Donaire is really to the highest level and since the Monster is now out of the Bantamweight, we will see if Donaire still has the strength to dominate other Bantamweight.

In case Donaire won this match, I believed he will, he will be the oldest boxer to still achieve a world title.

He got that achievement previously when he beat Nordine Ouballi at 38 years old.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 19, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
I am also quite disappointed with the 3-point shooting contest this year. The competition is very low. I think this is the trend for this contest. It is getting less and less competitive each year. The same with all-star games. It has become a game where the players just let other teams scores. There is no real defense. I would like to see a game where they play for real with defense and all. The last I time I see an exciting all-star game was when the Elam Scoring format was introduced.

No big names are participating which is not expected by many. It's always like that and every All-Star game seems a bit turning into not that entertaining scene. Hope someday there will be another 2016 happenings that return the big excitement in All-Star, especially the Dunk Contest where prior to that year, the All-Star is not that entertaining too.

Although on a positive note, this All-Star game is the opportunity for those infamous players to somehow showcase their skills and tells the majority that they can put on a good show.
696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 19, 2023, 11:57:35 PM
It will be decided when they both figthing and already executing their fighting styles.

Correct and agree. The execution of their strategy will be the key to winning.

On who will land a perfect blow at a given exact time will have a chance to win this fight. Keith Thurman already have a set of strategy to begin with and the only thing to think is how to apply it on the fight.

Spence is really a considered dangerous boxer at this point and Thurman is facing a threat that might be more dangerous when he face Pacquiao.

Boxing is all about the strategy and skill you have to put in the ring. In addition to that, your punching strength/power must be so hard to the point that it will at least faze the enemy in the ring. In the case of Spence vs Thurman, I do believe that Thurman would get this in the bag but he would face so much difficulty given on how technical Spence is.

Though this may be the case, I would like to end this with a famous quote of Tyson:
Quote
Everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face.

Although I'm looking forward at Keith Thurman winning the fight, it will be hard for him to withstand what Spence is about to bring.

Even most boxing analyst says that Thurman is no chance of winning against Spence at this point.

If only Thurman remains active in boxing after the Pacquiao fight, maybe he has the chance against Spence.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 19, 2023, 11:54:22 PM

SMB I believed gambled the last play. I see 2 reasons why they sit out JuneMar Fajardo:

- expecting overtime so JMF will somehow rest early and be ready on OT
- JMF now has 4 fouls and saving it on the possible OT

Let's say they are preparing JMF in overtime at least they should instead Mo Tautaa to replace JMF and not Brondial. Anyways, move on now. Smiley
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 19, 2023, 11:51:56 PM
Pressure could be more in Inoue, but I think he can handle it, he is more prepared, and it seems that his mental focus is also maturing. That's why it is a very dangerous combination for boxers, not only did they have the skills, but if their mind is really zone in, this elite boxers are hard to beat.

Both boxers surely feel pressured; Inoue is expected by many to win and Fulton, is a champion but becoming to looks like a challenger.

Though these boxers are both professional on their own and have their own good credentials, any kind of pressure should be handled easily and won't affect their performance on the day of the fight. They both expected it in the first place that someday they will meet each other.

Don't have any official date right? I hope no chance to be a failed negotiation.

if this will not push thru. the reason likely is due to non agreement with their purse split. usually, the promoters are the reason why most fights are suspended, delayed or not pushing thru. with this fight, inoue is the challenger but don't know how the purse split looks like. definitely, boxing fans are rooting for inoue. but fulton is a tough boxer also.

For me, purse split shouldn't be the reason but anything else. But looking at as far as the situation goes, everything is fine.

Aside from that, Bob Arum says that their Japanese partners are the ones working with the negotiation and not directly with him.

Don't want to see another wasted opportunity for fans to witness such a big fight like this.
699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 18, 2023, 11:59:07 PM
So this is very important for his Filipino fans, to show that he is still one of the best 126 lbs. This is another ticket for him and could he his second reign to become a featherweight king.

Agree. PH needs another world champion and Magsayo does have a chance to claim the title he previously holds.

I want to see him having a rematch with Rey Vargas as I want what he says about that fight that he believes he won it and if ever has a chance to face Vargas again, a bit of adjustment is just needed. He really pointed out perfectly what's lacking in him in that fight and that's good that he is aware of that.

Vargas seems also turned into a boastful boxer and thinks he can conquer easily what he wanted. Good thing for me that he was truly dominated by Foster in their last fight and the fight is not even close. After that poor performance by him which is not expected by most boxing fans, I Hope Vargas were being waken up to his dream ad realized that everything is not easy to achieve. Smiley
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 18, 2023, 11:57:43 PM
At this point, I think the Lakers will do better next season if they acquire a talent that could be available more even with lesser talent but definitely cheaper than Davis.

There are lots of candidates to consider actually but the problem is, the ability of Coach Darvin Ham to rotate its players. He's far worst at doing that.

The Lakers do have actually a good lineup to consider even though Lebron James and Anthony Davis are out even prior to the last trade that happened at the trade deadline. But hell, as an example, Thomas Bryant is somehow doing great when Anthony Davis is out but when AD returned, Coach Ham put Bryant on limited minutes instead of testing the waters of combining him with Davis on the court. Bryant can play the Number 5 but Ham put AD instead on it where in fact AD is much more effective playing as a Number 4. There are even times that Ham is even putting LBJ as the number 5.

It's fine to do experiments but make it to the point that to consider changing gears after seeing it as a failure in several games. Being a new coach is not an excuse as Lakers are the name we are talking about here.
