eta on your next batch? Im assuming that Im in batch 2
waiting on shipping update from AM...

Please use caution when unpacking your prismas as the unit may shift inside the foam capsule... I do not recommend pulling it out from one of the sides. Remove the side foam caps and then separate one of the lengthwise foam sides CAREFULLY and lift the prisma out of it's foam shell. You will see upon closer visual inspection that the lengthwise foam panels are glued at the corners. That would be a good place to separate them to get to the prisma.
I think there's a chance to snag a component if you just pull the tube out from the side of the foam casing.

can the shipping label be sent as a pdf via email and printed out on your end?
Yes, that's my preferred method!

Can we get a list of pending orders, so we know where we would be on the list and which have already shipped? I'm trying to get an ETA of when I will receive it if I order. Thanks.
This would be very helpful. I am on the fence as to order from canary or crazyguy. Knowing when I might be able to get my hands on one of these would be a HUGE deciding factor. new orders would go into the batch that I already have ordered with AM. So you're not going to be waiting for me to order after you pay. Best way to get inventory allocated is to send payment. I think you know my history and reputation.

Labels sent, let me know if I screwed up the signature Thanks don't have your email...

shipping out that first batch today... making stops at the usual places...

there's nothing "on hand," priority goes to paid orders. sorry guys. send payments to reserve your spots.

Canary,
If I send you my payment today, when will it be ordered and what's the ETA to me in NJ?
Also, where are you shipping from?
Kevin
my orders were already placed a while back. I'm not waiting for payment to place your order. I'm waiting on info to find out when the rest of inventory is shipping out. spoke to AM today, should get an update tomorrow so when you send payment, you are reserving inventory that's already paid for. shipping from 60181. speed depends on your shipping label/method.

The majority of prismas I ordered have arrived.

For your labels:
Box dimensions: 18x11x11
Weight: 16.5 lbs.
20 units are going out to the first 20 orders according to blockchain payments. I've PMed the first 20.
When creating a label, check if price is the same for 16 lbs and 15 oz vs. 16.5 (.5 is 8 oz). I suspect it's the same and recommend, in such a case, to specify 16lbs 15 oz to give yourselves plenty of spare room.

very cool! Nice to see development that keeps individual miners in mind!
|
|
|
I'll wait and see what people think about these once they ship. I dont want to have to run a stratum or whatever to get them to mine on most of the pools. But if these work out right i'll prob pick up a couple.
Not an issue using their USB interface. In my group, I don't even bother with the BE controller. Use cgminer, run whatever pool confit you want.

2. Have ordered an A20, so wondering if you are working on an image for it? If no one starts this before I can get to it, I may start trying to port MinePeon to the device. That would be great! I've already asked in the official Prisma and MinePeon threads about it, but no response (yet). you can install your choice of OS image on the cubie and then install the cgminer on it... I think cubie has a website with all kinds of software packages: http://cubieboard.org/download/hope canary compile cgminer for this prisma using a10 or a20 cubie board Hi Everyone, Been awhile. Glad to see this latest development of the Prisma! Could someone help me put together the most economical, reliable easy to setup and use controller that will work with multiple Prismas. Any help would be most appreciated. MM Old, no longer used laptop should work. Prismas now have that USB interface and you can run cgminer. No need for that BE controller. Much simpler now Edit: if you have a Pi you could also try that although I doubt you can run many prisma's successfuly on 1 Pi. (Cpu and USB bus issues)

The article has some major errors which makes me wonder about the author. For example the following sentence: "U.S. submarines and aircraft carriers run on nuclear power, but they have large fusion reactors on board that have to be replaced on a regular cycle." Submarines and aircraft carriers do not have a fusion reactor. The author seems to be confusing the very different fusion and fission nuclear processes. Also reactors are not replaced on a regular cycle. Possibly the author meant they need to be fuelled on a regular cycle. If you want to see what is involved in building a real fusion reactor see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITER and www.iter.org. This is an international 10-20 billion dollar project to build a working fusion reactor. It is an international effort similar in size to that for the International Space Station and the Large Hadron Collider. I think author made a typo... i'm expecting the article to get revised to reflect it. many ppl have caught that

Hey guys, what's the estimate for a gigabyte of space? I want to farm out my hard drives too.
I think this page: http://driveshare.org/ has all the details for the prices paid for different amount of space shared. Those are quoting dropbox rates, google drive, one drive, box.net and amazon cloud drive. That's not how much people will pay us, they will pay less, otherwise they will go with dropbox. Or Dropbox can offer a new "secured" plan or folder and the destination is somewhere on Storj behind the scenes instead of Amazon storage. Dropbox needs actual storage. They can buy hard drives or buy space from Amazon service or from Storj
