I just made a statistic about nxt balance distribution.
the current percentage of top100/top500/top1000/top2000 acounts are 82.7%、96.6%、98.9%、99.7%, respectivey,
the variation curves is as follow:

there're about 22k nxt accounts for the time being, among these accounts, there're 15k  whose balance are more than 0.
among the 15k accounts, more than 60 percent have less than 10 balance:

current Gini coefficient of nxt system of top100/500/1000/2000/6000/15000 are 0.5、0.79、0.86、0.92、0.97、0.988 respectively:
Gini vs nxt price:
chart

Where do you have the data for the gini from?

How can I set the price for one share?

Place an ask order.

I can only place an ask order for the shares I issued or I bought, right? Wink

It tells me that HODL is already used, but I canīt find it in the list. could anyone please check?

It means that it wasn't a time issue.

But the 1000 nxt wasnīt deducted from my blance. Can anyone buy some shares to test if it is working?
How does trading work? Where can I see/set the price?

What is ur account id?

1000 was deduced, why do u think it wasn't?

Because the balance in the client is still the same. It seems like it is a client issue then.

How can I set the price for one share?

Ok. Where should I check it? Do I need to check my System Time? If itīs so, the time is correct.

The 1000Nxt wasnīt deducted from my testaccount, but I didnīt receive an error message neither (I did receive one before as I tried to issue an asset with a name longer than 10 chars)

Adjust ur time by minus 2 hours and try again to make sure that issue is related to incorrect time.

Iīve created a new asset without error message, but it still doesnīt show up in the list (Asset name: HODL)
Any ideas?

Incorrect time?

In terms of..? Where to check? What to check?
Does a user really have to check the system time (if I am right) before issueing an asset? For me, this is a bug. am I wrong?

Make sure that ur time is synced. It's not a bug, it's a countermuasure against time-travel attacks.

how to get a testNXT account???

there is a link to where you download the client in the op. once you get it set up tell me your address and ill send you some text nxt. i have 68k atm so thats plenty to go around

Perhaps you could repeat this link and some basic instructions in your first post in this thread.

testNXT instructions:

1. See CfB's post here.
2. Create testNXT account here: https://holms.cloudapp.net:6875
3. DO NOT use your main password account; create an account by using a new, unique passphrase.
4. You can download fmiboy's AE-enabled client here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg5084677#msg5084677
5. Ask for testNXT in main thread or here; include your testNXT account number.
6. HAVE FUN!

I am afraid, that without a help of a skilled financial lawyer (knowing a lot about offshore stuff) we canīt get to the next level.

Thank you. I will get in touch with them (or a similar company)

Anon136 is going to start a Nxt/Silver Gateway, I think that is the way to go, would also like to see gold.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=455861.msg5058510#msg5058510

That is the first step. As then we have the problem that we will sit on a bunch of "illegal" silver or gold. That is still not legal money.
What would be step 2?

It would be nearly impossible to make the exchange legal in every country but trading for silver/gold would be the best bet as they are a world commodity and easily convertible in each country.  Unless we had a Nxt Belize bank where everyone could access their accounts.  Legality and Crypto exist on very blurred lines.

I am thinking about exactly that. Opening an account in Belize, Panama or the Cayman Islands. But I am unexperienced with stuff like this.

So am I, but if we had someone take care of it so that people could have individual accounts, access, even debit cards, that could be huge.  I'm sure we could offer a large bounty for the solution.  Would solve our Nxt/USD problem.

I have created a new thread to discuss how to use the Asset Exchange legally.

Please join and share yout thoughts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460377

Please share you thoughts about this topic.

It is nice to have this functionality, but if we can´t figure out a way how to use the money made with AE, then all these efforts in createding a running AE are worthless.

Anon beat you to the punch by a few minutes I think... there's an AE thread going on here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=460343

I was thinking about discussing the opportunities how to get the money out of the AE legally. I know someone who owns a comapyn in Austria and would love to use the AE to fund one of the projects of the company, but he is affraid that this would be illegal money. And as of now, I can´t tell him that it isn´t. So this thread should focus on the legal issues around AE.

Could buying gold or silver for BTC and then trade it for cash be a way to go the first step? What do you think?
760  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: from ireland to papua new guinea with NXT on: February 11, 2014, 05:39:01 PM

if i meet a gifted young child that cant afford to go to school i could put up a donation campaign along with photos to pay for the schools fees or something.
its far from planned but the best things that happen in life are never planned. Penicillin was an accident and changed the world forever.

that is a very good idea. I would be happy to help you with this. You should create a homepage documenting your journey so anyone can see where you currently are and where you need some funds to help people. If you find someone who needs something the community could throw some money together to help you buy them what they need. And then you can document it with some photos and write the an article about it on the homepage. This would be a great way to make some publicity for nxt.

The nxt the community donates for you can then be exchanged by you for btc or fiat if you need some more cash. You should think abput it how you could use the nxt donated. (as I think that there will be no merchants accepting nxt where you are going)
