741  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST] LuckyBit .999 Copper wallets on: February 19, 2016, 04:00:27 PM
OP...I received my #98 Auction coin yesterday.  Really nice proof finish and nice design.  I love it.

A couple notes:

I was measuring it for the encyclopedia and noticed the coin diameter is approx 39mm, similar to 1ozt Silvers, but possibly a little bigger as it doesnt fit in my standard quadrum 39mm holders.  You mentioned earlier it was:
- Coin Ø: 31 mm

For a future design, may I suggest a larger hologram, which would require a larger middle area?  Its so tiny (about the size of a US dime) that I really cant do much with it as far as a DIY wallet.  Also the holo fits inside the open middle space but could use some indent underneath to fit a private key.

I would be interested in the coin and optional box.  The wooden boxes for the 25 LTC Bull by Coinographic were really nice for example.

The coin is likely gold plated over iron or possibly Copper.  It's very cheap and a Chinese knockoff.  Just a FYI.

Looks great!

Agree with the population, 250 troy oz of silver is hard to move, 100 or even 50 seams to be a better volume.

If you need some creative input with the hologram, then could bigtimespaghetti's be an option:

Great point.  For anyone looking to make a new coin, I would recommend reading his guide.

Received 1.4 today.  Not peeling though.
746  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Gauging interest] Concept for new Physical Bitcoin on: February 17, 2016, 06:36:04 PM
Interesting concept. This depends on the price of the coin. What were you aiming at? I'd buy the #1.  Grin

Perhaps 100 minted might make it easier for you, even though the price per unit will be higher.
I concur.

100 minted of each would be fine, prices are hard to guess at this point since I have only asked a few minting companies for quotes so far.

I would say about $60 for the Silver ones and $70 for the Gold Plated ones, perhaps cheaper or a bit more expensive depending on the exact costs when I am at a later phase.

If you are making reservations, please reserve one of each for me, with the lowest number available.

Take care when dealing with gold plating.  There have been some issues recently when the mint did imperfect work to plate them.  Both ognasty and gravitate recently had to work with their respective mints regarding plating.

Just now found this, and it seems I may be too late! link in op is either dead or site is down Sad

Very interesting.  I was in touch with the owners a bunch after getting scammed by a fake seller a while back.  I own one of each of their coins: Alloy, Silver (1 of 8 made), Gold Pl. Alloy (1 of 8 made), and they were kind enough to give me a one-of-a-kind prototype paper wallet.  Hope they are still in business.  They did everything in their power to make things right.

I like it.  250 may be a little hard to sell initially.  Perhaps 100 minted might make it easier for you, even though the price per unit will be higher.  Very Casascius-like.  The holo could use more detail with microprinting around the edge.

Depending on whether you live in the US, you wont want to pre-fund these due to US laws.  Buyer Funded / Unfunded is easier to deal with.

I'd be interested in these.

Minerjones...if you're not taking #2,  I'll take #2 for each.

Must say this is a very unique design looking into the front of a revolver chamber.
750  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Kialara Signature Series on: February 16, 2016, 06:56:34 PM
Received mine today.  I dont think I'll bother with opening them to make them into wallets though.

They are very heavy and premium looking.  These really are art.  I do wish though they already had the hologram and public / private key already on, and/or having the serial number / signature visible.

Was this the coin that people were asking whether it was cleaned or not?  Just curious.   Its a nice coin regardless.

Will a hologram be included?
756  Other / Archival / Re: . on: February 15, 2016, 04:43:13 PM
I have 3. A brass 0.5 BTC, a MS66 brass 1 BTC (2013) and another brass 1 BTC (2013) which should get an easy MS67 grade. I'd love to buy a silver 1 BTC but I have a lot of other things on my to-buy list Grin.
I do have a few, but all redeemed or blank, so not worth much. Also, my cash flow isn't big enough (yet) to justify getting Cas. coins.

Anyway, this is getting way off-topic. bithalo hit me up once you are ready. Grin

Will do.  I don't have the energy to go into as much depth of every coin as you did.  I can take pics of each display case and list the coins in each one.
757  Other / Archival / Re: . on: February 15, 2016, 03:29:46 PM
I definitely couldn't compete with my Casascius collection to blazed or monkeynuts
758  Other / Archival / Re: . on: February 15, 2016, 02:18:27 PM
bithalo, can we at some point have an e-penis contest and compare collections? Grin

Can't say I've heard that expression before.  I'll see if I can put together some photos of my physical coins in the next day or so.  Many of them will be shown in the upcoming encyclopedia.
759  Economy / Collectibles / Re: SUPER DELUX Lucky coin sale- SOLD OUT on: February 14, 2016, 08:53:40 PM
Guys is there any interest in another silver Delux round?

I like the idea of only 1 silver and 1 gold coin. It keeps the Delux bit a bit more exclusive. Maybe we should wait until the gold ones are done (and the other coins have arrived) before deciding about other coins.

I agree.

I prefer these limited to 1 silver and 1 gold, as it is now.

Just a reminder that I paid the balance yesterday for both coins.
