Everyone who has been in Bitcoin long enough knows that the halving is the lowest part in the parabolic growth. The ATH is always half way between the halvings. So if you sell your stash ant GTFO that would be great! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

Where I come from you pay stuff with money you have. In the US people are too used to paying with debt. That's why it sounds new to you.
However if a company is holding significant amounts of your money they should have a banking license.

Bitcoin holders will surely smile after halving because history always repeat itself so shall it be come 2020. But my major concern now is that will the impact of halving on Bitcoin influence other altcoins like ethereum, Bitcoin Cash? Or one should convert altcoins to Bitcoin before the event.
My experience is that Bitcoin usually takes the lead and a select few altcoins follow. Once close the the Bitcoin ATH it will be much harder to buy or sell Bitcoin. Then people resort to altcoins that will remain increasing. Then the collapse happens and everyone gets the hammer. Play your altcoin purchases right and you can make a higher percentage of profit. However your risk profile is way higher so get off the train in time.

OP price prediction is close to my guess. I would believe between $50k and $70k with a short burst to an insane ATH.
now also the price of bitcoin has fallen sharply to $ 7900, this is the last support if we look, I believe bitcoin can reach $ 50000, but we have to get through this, if the price of bitcoin is now down again, I don't think it will be reached, we just look and observe the movements of bitcoin this time Remind yourself that the halving has always been the lowest point on the exponential curve. So once the halving passes the fun will begin. ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

I don't know what you are smoking but I like the sound of $236k. >$100k would already be a dream...

Here we go again, so many speculations about bitcoin price that's very high. We are far from thus price, to be honest. Despite for anything's possible and can happen isn't that too high? But we never know the market. Since it's very unpredictable, it could be sooner or so much later. But really, $400k is amazing so to speak. *me grabs popcorn and waits for $400k BTC*
Eat popcorn a little longer and you might not see the price of bitcoin at $400k simply because it will take more years before it happen. Speculation are too exaggerated without any concrete evidence, for now we need to break the wall so we can see bull run or else this $400k will take decades before it hit. We'll need more popcorn here, lots of them. I love it when people panic before the halving. But to be honest waiting for $400k will probably take you through another bear period so you will need to wait another 4 to 6 years. So yes we need a lot more popcorn... ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) Anyhow ..... Keep calm and prepare for post-halvening The thread does spark optimism ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif)

Been around in Bitcoinland for quite a while. Bitcoin will amaze you with the drops and it will amaze you with it's ATH. Once we go past the halving we will for sure pass the $20000 mark and $55000 isn't too much higher. Even this year we have seen 140% rises and 40% drops in days. Give us a few of those rises and some FOMO and we could get up to 6 digits before dropping back.
With the long years in bitcoinland as you said, can recommend any expert that has high accuracy in price prediction in any social media on bitcoin especially, most especially twitter? nobody! it has been said a million times before, experts don't waste their time on social media making predictions and publishing them for people to read. experts (the real ones not the self claimed idiots) go to the market and use their own speculation to make profit. only those who either want to scam others or manipulate them to make profit elsewise spread their guesses on social media. +1 There are many so-called experts. None of them are accurate. As in my statement I can only say that you will be amazed at it's fluctuating nature. If you wait long enough, you will make major profits and get dragged through the shit... Play your cards right and buying low and selling high is not that hard. As long as you look at BTC in the long term...

It can happen if the fundamentals of bitcoin break. If anyone can raid acccounts of everyone bitcoin would become useless and go to $5 and lower. Just like gold would become $5 if we found out that the core of the earth was pure gold.

Still 188 days until the halving. After that we will see a new ATH between $50k-$70k. Spike could go as insane as $250k so fasten your seatbelts. My estimate is an ATH in about 250 days....

This is what we would call a bull trap... get the last weak hands to lose faith...

<le snip...> And when seeing the millionaire wallets, (10-1000) BTC their percentage has not changed much, I had always seen it in 62-63% .... Normally in 2017 to 2018 when it was in bullish trend this percentage was in the order of almost 80% .. It means that sales have stopped a little. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FgrFDlgV.png&t=663&c=jwK2H9H4S1NgpQ) If everything goes like this, the market may recover quickly. This image shows that most coins are in the hands of the wealthy (strong hands) or exchanges.... This is a good thing ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif)
