Jungs, warum immer kompliziert, wenn's auch einfach geht? Person A möchte etwas veräußern und formuliert Bedingungen diesbezüglich. + Person B akzeptiert diese Bedingungen. = Deal. Hat man die Bedingungen nicht verstanden (weil diese z.B. unklar formuliert sind), bittet man um eine eindeutigere Formulierung. Bin ich mit den Bedingungen nicht einverstanden, nehme ich an der Auktion nicht teil. Das Ganze dauert keine fünf Minuten (lesen, verstehen, ggf. nachfragen, Entscheidung treffen) und sollte uns aus dem realen Leben bekannt vorkommen...  Hält sich Person A oder B nicht an die vereinbarten Bedingungen, wird Person A oder B sterilisiert, enthaart und verklappt -> auch wie im realen Leben. Alles schön und gut mit dem "Regeln stellen und akzeptieren gedöns" aber es muss etwas so festgelegt werden, das Käufer oder Verkäufer im Streitfall etwas in der Hand hat. Sprich das man einen rechtlich bindenen Vertrag abgeschlossen hat, und im Ernstfall es zur Anzeige bringen kann, und Recht bekommt. Sonst ist alles andere nur belanglos und hat vor Gericht keinen Nutzen. Dunkelheit667 hat hier in diesem gesamten Thread den vernünftigsten Beitrag geliefert. Auch in Deutschland gilt prinzipiell Vertragsfreiheit. Also werdet mündig. Wenn ihr etwas im Streitfall in der Hand haben wollt, dann müsst ihr dies eben mit dem Anbieter aushandeln. Wenn das nicht geht und euch das Risiko zu hoch ist, geht ihr eben keine Geschäftsbeziehung ein - fertig. Sanktionen durch dieses Forum dann, wenn dokumentierte Angebotsbedingungen und Absprachen nicht eingehalten wurden. Alles andere ist sinnlose Überregulation. |

The foundation may control the github repository of bitcoind/bitcoin-qt, however they do not control Bitcoin. If they have decided to give themselves 1 million coins or whatever, no one will use and people will fork in true open source fashion.
This is naive. Of course they would not do the obvious. But for a group of knowledgable persons it is easy to implement some "errors" that go unnoticed long enough to inflict serious damage. Only a tiny fraction of all bitcoin users is able to understand the source code. And of this tiny fraction only few do actually verify it. |

The Bitcoin Foundation controls the Bitcoin source code and has placed itself as the defacto decider in all things concerning the Bitcoin source code, therefore all things blockchain, all things the Bitcoin network, all things Bitcoin.
Historically, Foundations have awesome public agendas, but internally they are often clandestine and greed and ideologically based ... hidden agenda driven, and the people they allow through their turnstyles to "serve" are all the same in that they agree with the end game goals of the Foundation.
Is there more to know?

What we DO know is that The Bitcoin Foundation goes against Satoshi's dream of no-trust-needed and complete decentralization, because TBF controls Bitcoin and its source, and I believe it can easily be proven in a court of law.
Exactly. In addition to that - even assuming that the TBF would live up to the highest moral standards, it easily serves as a gateway for governmental control. By publishing their names and forming an official body in the US - a country which uses highly questionable methods to preserve reason of state - they can easily be forced to implement anything. Satoshi had a reason to stay anonymous. When it comes to preservation of power, most governments tend to forget human rights or what's written in their very own constitution. |

Paypal will never help Bitcoin gain more widespread acceptance. Bitcoin is their competition and even if they publicly say they are considering using it in their system (which many gullible people believed and took at face value), it just won't happen.
Paypal has a near monopoly in their market and has monopolistic pricing and they are going to protect that however they need to. They sure aren't going to help Bitcoin, which could hurt them in the long run.

Bitcoin braucht keine Verbündeten, es genügen einfache Nutzer. Je mehr, desto besser. Bloß weil ich PayPal ablehne, bin ich nicht gleich ein Banken-Fan. Da ich aber ohnehin schon ein Bankkonto nutze, brauche ich mich nicht noch zusätzlich bei dem US-Datensauger und Willkürlich-Konten-Sperrer PayPal anzumelden. |

PayPal ist selber ein Abzocker-Laden. Werbeversprechungen und Realitäten liegen da sehr weit auseinander.
Für Inlands- und EU-Transaktionen gibt es keinerlei Grund PayPal zu benutzen - Banküberweisung funktioniert perfekt.

This is one of the most insightful comments I have seen on this forum for some time. As someone interested in economics, I think the establishment of a measure for the adoption level of a digital currency would be useful, and I think 'The Hooker Point' is perfect for it. lol While this is funny, your analysis has some merit. However you should take into account that cash is easier to accept and more established than Bitcoin for the non-technical person. So even if there is a general willingness of hookers to accept Bitcoin they may shy away because of a lack of easy-to-use Bitcoin payment services which fit the demands of their profession. |

Hier wurde definitiv aufgeräumt. Das ist gut. Bin mir allerdings nicht sicher, ob "Auktionen"-Subforum sinnvoll ist, oder ob Auktionen besser in den Biete/Suche-Sektionen gepostet werden sollten, versehen mit dem Label "[AUKTION]". Ich fände es aber am allerbesten, wenn es statt "Biete"/"Suche"/"Auktionen" nur ein Subforum "Marktplatz" gäbe, der alle diese Posts aufnimmt und die Posts mit entsprechenden Labels gekennzeichnet werden. Schließlich geben die Bezeichnungen "Biete", "Suche", und "Auktionen" keinen wirklichen Hinweis auf den Inhalt der Angebote, so dass ein potentieller Interessent ohnehin meist alle diese Subforum durchblättert. - Vorausgesetzt es gibt genug Aktivität, könnte man wie im englischen Forum den Marktplatz in Angebotskategorien unterteilen ("Dienstleistungen", " Waren", "Exchange"). |

I know what IQ tests are and have scored highly and scored average before. I don't consider the IQ test to be a serious measure of intelligence but more like a game to keep the brain sharp. If you treat it like a game you'll find you'll score much higher than if you treat it like it's something real. The point is to turn IQ testing into a brain training game.
Of course you can "train" the brain to score higher on a specific intelligence test. This effect is mainly based on recall/recognition. But do not expect this effect to generalize at any significant amount to other intelligence tests. The often proclaimend positive effects of "brain training" on intelligence are not supported by any sound scientific evidence. I.e. such effects do *not* generalize. There is evidence however that regular physical excercise leads to some improvement of mental ability. Why must it be an intelligence test? Can't it be something more interesting and useful? You asked for tearing your idea apart. I'm just helping out. |
