I started out on this forum in 2011 as a GPU miner back in the HD5000 era. Took a break when FPGA's came out, the started again last year for scrypt GPU mining until it became obsolete. Now I want to look into ASICs for direct BTC mining again, and I'm embarrassed to admit that I know absolutely nothing now.
The playing field has completely changed and there's too many different threads to look at. Can someone give some general advice, or point me to where I should start reading? I just bought 2 used Antminer S1 so I can learn through experience before I buy some newer released ones.
The next two I've narrowed down to will be either the antminer S3 or AM tubes. I'm a bit turned off by the tube at the moment because it seems finicky and can only mine on one pool. Any other home miners I should consider?

And everbody who thinks that im Scamming here 2x 100€ Codes
N4APH-2QJ8V-KE0JD H39FP-LKP35-EHCW6
Now why the hell would you do this just to prove yourself? Codes are not valid. If they are valid and someone redeemed them already, then we can't actually verify.

Way to thread jack, but I'll allow the free ride ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Doesn't matter if you're a mod for PD or not. But on THIS forum, your account is not worth even close to 2btc for me to loan that amount out. Account is too new, and no real rep history. No collateral is involved, so I need to reduce as much risk as possible.

I'll be able to buy 2btc within 2 weeks, thanks to now having a decent paying job.
I take these kinds of statements with a grain of salt, especially in this section. For your case, the post history and overall profile is a better determinant, and yours are too high of a risk for ANY btc.

Walmart only carries onevanilla I'm pretty sure it's the same thing as vanilla reload. It has the ice cream symbol on it like every other card. Tell me the site you go to check the balance, I want to make sure I have the right card before I buy it.
It's not the same. Vanilla Reload is used to add funds to other debit reloadable cards. It's a one time use, full amount reload, and can't be used to actually purchase anything. Any Vanilla prepaid card is used for regular purchases, but you can't transfer balances. Completely opposites. You'll probably have to find someone else to give you the loan. Too many questions back and forth, and it's getting too complicated. Or, you can just outright buy 1 btc for $535 in the currency exchange section.

OneVanilla work?
No, only Vanilla Reload. Ok... the reason I can't take any prepaid cards is because not only can the funds can't be transferred, but you also have the card number which you can spend yourself any time. This is the equivalent of both of us holding the private keys to an address; whoever spends first wins.

I need it to fill some orders and buy a time sensitive item. Walmarts the only place that's open right now, they sell the pre-paid CC's but idk if they sell vanilla reloads.
Walmart should have Vanilla Reloads. I'm pretty sure I've seen it in their prepaid card section. The direct site even confirms that it should be sold at walmart: https://www.vanillareload.com/where-buyIf you can't do a Vanilla Reload and need the 1btc NOW, then I guess I'm not your guy.

I PM'ed him I have a paypal debit card so I'm able to withdraw cash from my paypal if he'll accept a MasterCard prepaid CC.
Sorry can't take MC prepaid. I'll have to actually spend it because it can't be moved as easily as a VR. We can wait another 7 hours. Why do you need it so urgently? if haploid23 has a seals account you could cancel your cashout and pay a fee to him to trade seals for btc
For btc, I don't touch gambling. Don't have a SwC account.

I only have available cash in PayPal right now though, and $250 cash. It's 12:30 here so nothing's open, could you send me the 1 BTC now and I can send the $529 to you in the morning?
If I send 1 btc now, then there's no point of collateral. Sorry, can't take PP either, and you can't do a cash deposit since all banks are closed right now. 24-hour duration starts when I send. We'll continue this tomorrow, but feel free to take anyone else's offer if you get one in the meantime.

Is Goat still a goner?
Obviously. Does anyone actually want him back? If you tell him he scammed, he'll just do that reverse psychology BS.

Yeah that works for me. So 1 BTC + $27 and if I don't pay it back within 24hrs $545?
Current btc rate is $512. You send me $539 by Vanilla Reload or any other non-reversible methods (no moneypaks), I'll give you the 1 btc loan. You repay the 1btc within 24 hours and I'll send you back $512 via paypal or online bank transfer. Would there be a reason why you think it might be later than 24 hours?

I'll provide this loan if you can give fiat collateral. You offered in PM, so you shouldn't have a problem with this ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) The other condition is that if you were to get this loan from me, you can't stack more loans for other lenders until you've paid me off. You also technically haven't repaid the last loan fully yet, so add that to repayment as well. Agree?

Just don't use Wells Fargo QuickPay as it's easily reversible.
Wells Fargo uses SurePay. Chase uses QuickPay ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) . Last year I personally had someone reverse a Chase quickpay on me for a btc transaction. More easy to reverse than PP.

The first problem on YOUR part is that you tried to withdraw coins, email confirmation was sent, then tried to change email without confirming the withdraw in your old email. If you think about it from another person's perspective, this looks pretty suspicious: a hacker could have hacked your btc-e account, initiated a withdraw, and it wouldn't go through until the hacker confirms by email. Since hacker can't confirm by email, he tries to change email address to his own.
I'm not saying everything they did afterwards was correct, but you did make the mistake of doing something suspicious. Should have just paid the $35 fee to your email provider in the first place.

They are insured, NOT their customers. I have made the exit strategy bold. Moreover, what would happen for an address collision is not clear.
When does ANY exchange insure lost bitcoins for an individual's own negligence? If they do insure these types of lost btc, then it's open for a lot of abuse. It's the equivalent of a chargeback.

Its not a scam if he accepts escrow
You obviously don't understand the issue here. Or maybe you're a shill account.
