7621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 10, 2018, 11:23:12 AM
The Bucks are putting people on notice so far this year as not many people talk about them or have them as a team that can compete for a championship.

If they get one of the first two seeds in the East and Giannis keeps averaging 26/12/6 I won't be surprised to see him win the MVP.
They have improved now that they have a good coach and I believe that they will dominate the Eastern Conference if they will continue their performance.

I'm betting Giannis as the MVP this season because of his performance but its too early to say although he is my bet at this moment. He's too hard to stop with his long hands and his height.

Right, actually I watched some Youtube videos of Giannis and indeed he is a work in progress and in just short amount of time he developed a lot and really learn how to take advantage of this long hands and strides (Euro Step).

He is really a freak so I'm wouldn't be surprised at all if his name keeps popping up to the MVP race this year.
7622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Woman Arrested for $450,000 Crypto Heist on: November 10, 2018, 10:54:03 AM
I'm not really sure how they caught the woman unless victim knows her. Perhaps he trusted her at some point and when she got his trust and confidence, the woman slowly snoop at the unsuspecting victims cell phone that's why she was able to swept the mans account.

Again, this is a lessons for everyone not to blindly trust because you don't know who you dealing with. But we're glad that justice has been served and hope that the old man can get his money back through restitution.
7623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 09, 2018, 06:48:15 AM
Barrage of threes.

DRose making threes? Whoa! He is taking his game to a higher level now. That accuracy. That miss on the last shot could be just 1 inch stronger.

Can't imagined DRose now if that big injury didn't tear his career. Maybe the competition in the East is somehow tough during the past seasons.

Exactly, remember he was at his peak when he got injured. It will be very different with him and Lebron duking in out for the top team in the East.

But it was really good to see him making a comeback. He is slowly showing some flashes of his moves . There was one particular instance wherein he has a chance to show some highlight dunks but he chooses not to. If that is the old DRose, damn he will surely bring the house down. But maybe he is just cautious, because if you noticed his jump shot, it looks like his vertical leap is there, but he doesn't want to force it otherwise he might re-injured himself.
7624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: McAfee tattoos skycoin, will this create fomo on: November 09, 2018, 05:43:25 AM
Will you guys fomo into mcafees new coin skycoin? Its the beginning of something interesting? His tattoo is telling us the project won't be abandon by developers.

Well if it FOMO then let it be. I'm sure that after that the coins will simply go into oblivion. So its OK for us to FOMO as long as you know what you are doing. What I mean is that get out while you so that you won't get trap.

And regarding the tattoo, are you saying that its one basis for the devs not to abandon it simply because the eccentric John McAfee has it for life? Lol, that's one of the worst reasoning I have heard about FOMO'ing on coins. Grin
7625  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 09, 2018, 05:31:50 AM
of course because to be rich through bitcoin and other crypto is the key is to always be patient and keep trying because if you want to be patient and try certainly your business will not betray the results
and bitcoin is also very promising to be a long-term investment

Everything will also depend on the amount of money that you will invest in Bitcoin. It is evident that the larger the sum will be, the more chances that you can get the better profit you will have.

Definitely, the bigger you invest the bigger your ROI. However, they're risk, so if you're willing to take it, then absolutely the chances for you to get rich is within grasp. The only problem is how tough you are. I'm talking about your mentality. If there's one lesson we learn here, those early adopters didn't sell their coins when the price is so down, they look at the look term effect.

So if you are ok with that then slowly accumulate bitcoin today because the price is so cheap and just hodl on it until the price goes up in years time and when you think its time to get some profits then sell some of them.
7626  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Transfer times and fees? on: November 08, 2018, 12:08:12 PM
I do a ton of trades a day, but I have to transfer cryptoccurency from one exchange to another. Since bitcoin transactions take a lot of time and theres a fee, what do you think I can do? Should I sell the bitcoin on the exchange for a fast currency like NANO and then transfer it to the other exchange and then sell the NANO there to get back the BTC? Do I make any sense? Any answer will help thanks 🙂

On some exchanges that's best. I often times used DOGE for such a thing because the transfer fees were as low as 1-2 dogecoin. The only problem is you are then doing more trades so more trade fees and you might have to wait to buy/sell the currency you swap your bitcoin in to temporarily.

Exactly, I previously used DOGE to make my transactions quite fast if I wanted to. But then again, Bitcoin network is not that clogged anymore because the network spammers has already stopped. Plus exchanges now are batching their transactions which lessen the burden on the mempool as well.

Fee's are extremely low as well, heck even a 1 sat/byte could easily be confirmed in the next 5-10 blocks so I will advise the OP to used bitcoin instead of the hassle to convert from one coin to another.
7627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alts to buy? on: November 07, 2018, 11:20:26 PM
Hey guys, which altcoins do you recommend to buy now? I recently bought Fantom token and I want to buy another currency. What do you recommend?

I'm sorry to tell you that your question is a bit tricky. Because there's no way that someone will make the right answer for you. Plus why are you asking others for financial advises?

My only advise for you is to go out and learn the everything by yourself. If you made a mistakes then that's fine, its part of the learning experience here in crypto. And I can guarantee you can majority of all traders have one time or another lost something here, so don't be afraid to 'get your hands dirty'.
7628  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will PayPal start accepting bitcoin? on: November 07, 2018, 11:00:30 PM
Personally, I can imagine PayPal very soon will start to accept bitcoin. Since bitcoin users increasing tremendously at the same time transaction and exchanges expanding regularly. So I think bitcoin will be accepted by PayPal very soon.

I really have doubts about it. How will a competitor going to accepts it? Although Paypal has been threatened ever since with bitcoin and crypto's emergence, they won't simply just joined forces with their competition because they're still making money.

The only way the Paypal will going to accept it is that authorities put pressure on them, but I don't see it happening whatsoever. It took them years to established their business models and work with several banks globally, so its not going to be easy for them to just go and accept bitcoin, in my opinion.
7629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bipolar btc on: November 05, 2018, 10:59:02 PM
what's bipolar about btc lately? seems to be very steady and have found it's bottom which means people might be less scared to get back in.
and it's only november 5!

People is just waiting for another trigger to push the market again. The SEC decision could be handled on November 6 though.

what is happening to btc, it has been bipolar now for quite some time.. wasn't November supposed to be a good month for btc?

They have said it on October as well. But nothing of significant happen to previous month so it will continue unless some big news comes along to shift the sentiments of investors. More likely they're waiting for SEC decision or the Bakkt offerings so there's possibility that November might bring some changes all along. We just need to wait and like they say, patience.
7630  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fighting your own FOMO on: November 04, 2018, 09:59:55 AM
My first point of reaction is always from logic, I try to get as much Information as I can gather in a reasonable amount of  time and make decisions   based on fact and figure.

Well that should be everyone's concern, decision should be based from logic by looking at the facts and figures, however, human natures dictates that most of the time, people tend to be emotionally involved and as a result, we can't make the right judgement in reasonable amount of time.

FOMO and FUD goes hands to hands. You cant control both at the same time, if one perishes then other will exists and vice versa.

Yes, they are part and parcel of this ecosystem. They goes hand to hand. For a average traders, its really hard to distinguish and fight them, unless you learn everything from experienced but it take years to be a seasoned trader.
7631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 04, 2018, 06:57:13 AM
I also thought they can win at home because they have been losing badly on the road.
This is something they have to review and do necessary adjustment because their offense and defense are not working pretty well now.

Wizards are and have been quite an unpredictable team in the last few seasons, I always thought they needed something else to get them to the next level, i.e. ECF, perhaps a better bench or a good 3rd player like Beal and Wall... However, I don't think anyone expected them to be bad this season.

I'll give you a reason why they suck, it's called - Dwight Howard. Remember what happened in Orlando? Well, he got Stan fired. Then he went to the Lakers, they were pretty terrible, I don't remember well but I think Mike Brown was fired too. Moving on to Huston, Kevin McHale fired. Then he went to a pretty good Hawks team - just above .500 team, coach Budenholzer was gone after 1 more year. Hornets - Steve Clifford fired. Everywhere he goes something bad happens.

Wiz needs to cut/trade Dwight and get back to normal.  Grin
I can tell you are a real NBA fanatic, you know the story man because you follow them.
Howard is not playing yet I guess, but I don't think he can make a difference on this team on a positive way, he is not as aggressive
as before when he was still playing with the Magic, this guy has become a liability.

I think Dwight is one of the victims on how the whole NBA game has change for the last 5 years. The game has evolved so much that true NBA Centers are not the focus of the game anymore. Its more of a run and gun type of game, with 3's is the most weapons that NBA teams are going now.

Plus he might has some attitude problem as well. Remember he and Kobe doesn't go along with the Lakers so he was traded. And the same thing happen in Houston with James Harden. If he doesn't evolved then he might be another name in NBA and may be forgotten.
7632  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin stability on: November 03, 2018, 07:47:27 PM
If the nation has is a big influencer on bitcoin, such as USA then at some point their political decisions might affect bitcoin's price. Or let's say Japan, if by chance the next President elect suddenly decided to make a U-turn against crypto then for sure it will cause a dramatic effect on the ecosystem.

But if you're talking about a small or 3rd world country making political decisions that will only affect their domestic economy, then I doubt we will be affected by such decisions.

So its based on how big the country is, what's their influence on the market to make a dent on the price if they suddenly shifts or make political decisions that can directly or indirectly impact cryptos.
7633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks are maintaining dependence on: November 03, 2018, 12:28:15 PM

Would this make banks responsible for uncontrollable losses? This will be great for adoption and hints at a future where banks essentially regulate smooth digital transactions and keep them secure.

Of course they will be responsible if they chooses to offer this kind of service to crypto enthusiast. But the question is, do we really need them to handle our private key? Everyone is here because "we're our own banks" so I don't think this is a viable options for us.

Banks are only interested in Blockchain Technology, maybe this is just their way to look good and doesn't sound like anti-crypto. But this is useless in my opinion. And I don't think that this kind of move will be great specially for mass adoption.
7634  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Meditation is essential for becoming successful trader on: October 30, 2018, 03:33:17 PM
I don't know but it seems I have seen this topic before. Anyways, Meditation is not only applicable or essential to be became a successful trader, I think in all aspects of life, it can really enhance someone's ability to think clearly and to make the right decisions.

Trading involves a lot of emotions, but if you says that you learn how to control it through meditation then good for you. But for me, I don't need to make things complicated, I just regularly trade, have few hits and misses but that's it. No need to for me to go on meditate things because I have life outside of my crypto activity, just saying.
7635  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pacquiao Vs Mayweather 2 on: October 30, 2018, 07:00:34 AM
Just another fight so Mayweather can get another huge payday.  I don't think Manny stands a chance if they go through with this rematch.  It's just another pointless hype fight like the Mayweather vs. Mcgregor fight we had.  I think Mayweather will end up like Mike tyson and blow all his money on fancy cars, mansions, and girls.

Seems to be that Mayweather is good investors as well. He has his money investment so a lot of ventures, including boxing gyms, real state and clothing lines.

http://fortune.com/2018/01/17/floyd-mayweather-gyms-fitness-after-boxing/

So I don't see him turning into another Mike Tyson and blowing all his money. Tyson that time hasn't had any good financial advisors, except for Don King, Lol, and that's what make it worst for him. Mayweather has a lot of advisors so I'm not seeing him losing all the millions or billions in the next couple of years.
7636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to determine if projects/coins will survive the bear market? on: October 30, 2018, 06:49:20 AM
It looks like a lot of altcoins in the top 5-10 are being exposed as over bought. Just look at how Ethereum suffered, or XRP, beginning of the year they have enjoyed all-time-high but after that dumps after dumps of those coins causing the price to really plummet.

How to determine is not the question, but how those coins are going to stand out in the bear market. This is a difficult time, actually its a struggle and no matter how many good news comes in, investors are not buying because they know that its very volatile plus they are really getting smarter. No more bagholders, its sort of hit-and-run attitude. If they see a good profit then they will immediately sold-off. The only coins worth noting though is Bitcoin or even Monero which has been steadily doing good at this bear market.
7637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lots money invested on cryptocurrency, should I isell for liquidity? on: October 30, 2018, 06:22:29 AM
Incase you lost of your money and emergency you need a money you can withdraw if anytime you want. But I suggest withdraw only the money that you badley needed because incase the price of the coins that you have increase again possible also you get back your capital or even little money.

I totally disagree. If you are in dire situation and needed money then why not withdraw everything. What's important is the current situation, you needed all the money that you can get specially if its a life and death situation and totally forget about your investments.

Money would come, believed me. You can go back after everything's clear and if you have still some extra money then obviously you can buy and re-invest it on crypto and wait till it made a good ROI, rinse and repeat. That's why we have this old adage to invest what you can afford to lose, so that in case of emergency situation, you won't simply pull your investments and liquidate it.
7638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins volitily predictions when it has reached 21 million made on: October 30, 2018, 06:08:19 AM
I have happened to find it very interesting that bitcoin will cap out sooner or later. I believe that it will be worth much more when it hits it but a few years down the ride quite possibly it may be worth nothing. Anyone got any predicts and a good reason why?

I think by 2030-2040 we will see the total circulating supply almost cap will the rest of the supply will be just mine until the supply around 2140.

So its going to be interesting to see in the next 10-20 years what will be the price. But in my opinion, we might see the price going into 6 digits as bitcoin becoming scarce and demand is very high. I don't buy that notion that it will be complete worthless because its one of the best speculative assets so far and it will continue a viable investments for everyone.
7639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: October 30, 2018, 05:53:33 AM
Firing Lue won't do much for the Cleveland Cavaliers.  It really just comes down to how talented your team is.  I always thought the role of a coach in basketball is really overrated.  I don't think Phil Jackson is a great coach or anything but he always had the best talent on his teams ( MJ, Kobe, Shaq).  It's why he was able to win 11 championship rings.

Yeah, you might have a point. But I guess Lue already saw that his head will roll specially the way they started this season. He should look at the bright side because for sure he can find other jobs in most team, perhaps a assistant coach will be good fit for him.

@Maslate - it was another close lost to the Lakers, I don't know, but I noticed that they're unable to close the show in the last 4-5 minutes. And usually their opponents makes a good run out of the last couple of minutes (maybe lack of defense) that's why its another L for the Lakers.
7640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tougher decision this year. on: October 29, 2018, 07:07:31 AM
As we are approaching December in just over a month's time which will be the most favorable cryptocoin to invest? Will it be traditional investment tactics like bitcoin and ethereum or some other altcoins? I guess it will be really tough job this year looking at the current market trend.

Yes, I would have to agree that its been a challenging year for everyone year. Just look at what happened to Ethereum, almost 90% down from its all-time-high. But if you really wanted to have a good leverage then their's no question that Bitcoin is the only one that can give us a good profit at the end of the year.

There's so much news going on that it will just be a matter of time before it will have its break out run. As for the rest of the altcoins, hard to say, unless they will do the same tactics last year, pump-and-dump prior to Christmas, and then hope that you join the bandwagon before the actual pump.
