Closed.  The last Tubes went to UK.

just tested this and confirming same results.
what's the solution?

how i can check my plots at corrupt?

I noticed the plots generated by GPU plotter with 14.6 drivers produced extremely huge deadlines (13-14 digits) when mining. It's very hard to mine anything with such deadlines.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | Update to 1.1.0 before block 11800 on: September 12, 2014, 01:07:34 AM
so all the plot files generated with 2.0.0 are all corrupt then?  how to tell for sure?

That's a really good "getting started" guide. Thank you for your work Smiley

No problem, I'm glad to help! I you have any input let me know and I will update it.

Also, it seems that calculation of nonces/minute may be off...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.msg8771161#msg8771161

It shows me calculating at 121,230 nonces/minute... but actual file growth is more along the lines of only 12,123.0 nonces/minute.
(Maybe this is from the message I got when compiling?)

...It might also be nice to have a "ETA" for completion time. But not really needed.

Maybe the CLOCKS_PER_SEC value doesn't match the actual clock() values on your platform (function that I use to retrieve the time). I will use the time() function instead.

Here is the new version:

GPU plot generator v2.0.1

Warning: to the AMD owners, the 14.4 catalyst driver cause a major bug. The generated files are corrupted. I will investigate on this problem. In the meantime, I recommend you to switch back your driver to the 13.12 version.

Changelog:
- Nonces display corrected (XX/YY nonces).
- Using time() function rather than clock() in nonces/minute computation.
- Nonces/minutes repeated at the end of the generation process to keep a trace of it after execution.
- ETA and elapsed time added.

These devices are great!! I've got them tested at 320 and 350 freq. without issues.
785  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Tube Group Buy #2 on: September 10, 2014, 10:38:24 PM
I have a handful units remaining.  Selling at .8 btc each
Sorry but does the .8 include the rpi?
Includes the Ethernet controller.
Sry to bother you as my tag suggests I am a newbie I remember seeing that you need an rpi to run these can those be purchased from you as well or do I need to buy from FC thru phasebird I currently run a few S3's and am only familiar with cgminer and ssh-ing thru putty with there interface. Shocked
They come with an Ethernet controller that runs it.  You can run an instance of miner anywhere you want if you wish to point your tube at it. PC/Pi, whatever...

Just keep in mind that Rovkminer Pis should have little heatsinks on their chips.  Maybe case design should take this into account, incase spacing is effected.

Great work as always.
The look nice!

Here we go! First 10 units shipping tomorrow!

These will be a www.Asicpuppy.com EXCLUSIVE item for at least the first 50! I won't sell these direct.

Enjoy...

Thanks bro! I really enjoy designing and printing this type of stuff.

Packing these up now!

Maybe you can create a case that holds the Pi and the USB hub (that's shipped with rockminer) as 1 unit...

Hi

I would test each hashing board indyvidually (only hashing cable to controller)
one faulty board can give results you have.

Please also use only hashing cable socket closest to ethernet socket.
Other ones does not work.

Maybe controller is faulty. I got same results with bad controller.
Controller PSU if is weak (amperage) can also not detect boards.

Good luck, man!

sonofabitch

you win.

Had to plug it into the port nearest the ethernet.

Shoot me an address.

Ahem... Check my last post...

Shiz, totally missed that.

you are correct sir.....you win.

send an address.
Send it to Sean's outpost please

Doesn't look wrong at first glance... Post screenshots of other sections

The other sections show nothing of interest.  "Test Status"  is blank, and "statistics" just show it not hashing.

A blank test status IS of interest...
Controller doesn't see any boards.

suggested steps?
Make sure that dip switches are properly set and each board is daisy chained correctly.
Plug into the port on controller closest to Ethernet port.
Finally run that flashmega command.

I may want an r-box . does it use the same software as the 37gh round ones?
I have 6 of them from you.
If it just runs with them I would give one a try.
HOW quiet is it?

I'll post some stats tonight. It may run with the latest cgminer/bfgminer branch, but Rockminer's build will likely be the most stable. Rockminer also provides an RPi image.

get back to us. I have been really lazy about getting a  rasp pi. maybe I will order the rasp pi and the box tonight

I've fired up a couple of them, tested at 350 and 320 clock speed.  They run very, very well!  Quiet and aesthetically pleasing.  Very simple and clean design.  It looks like an oversized external drive.  Makes you think you are opening an apple-ish product when you see the box Smiley

Definitely a great miner for starters and to gift to someone to introduce them to mining.  It fits well on a desk at the office too!  someone should figure out a converter from xbox power adapter to 6 pin and powering up becomes even simpler for newbies and starters.  (I mentioned this to sidehack when we met...)
The Pi's are beefed up, they have heatsinks on 2 chips to help with reducing reboots due to overheating.

I like this unit very much so far!

797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient POC Mining | New multipools on: September 08, 2014, 02:54:54 PM
While I'm getting ready for Storj when beta is out, I decided to play with burst a bit.
I've read a lot of this thread and most things are pretty clear, but I have 2 questions remaining.
How do you tell the java miner to consider plots present on a different drive letter (windows)?  can someone point me to the syntax for this?
When I downloaded the plot.exe for windows to a sandbox using chrome, it complained of malware and suspended the download, why?
thanks

- You need to copy the java miner to the disk you want to generate plots, the miner always generate plots on plots folder of current path. Pretty easy fix to change this, but I don't think it's a priority.
- False positive is pretty standard today with miner stuffs, don't you think? Wink
I was wondering about mining, not plot generation.  is it possible to run one miner instance but have it read plotted files from multiple drives?
I typically don't trust anything that says click here to download regardless of false positives.  How come the Linux plotter is linked on OP but windows is not?

Does your marketing plan include getting little kids into it?
Got free samples too?
