7841  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New bitcoin scam scheme come in to market stay away !!!!! on: September 05, 2017, 09:14:31 PM
There are really some evil people. The worst is people believing it and falling in the trap. There are more sophisticated than this, but I wonder who is to blame, the thieves or the naive people falling in the trap  Undecided
Remember, if it is too good to be true, then it's not true
7842  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Can be $5,000 Again? on: September 05, 2017, 07:43:13 PM
I hope Bitcoin will reach the $5000 mark again, hell yes. I have been so much excited to see this, it didn't last very long lol. But after the new about China banning IC, it won't happen immediatly, maybe at the end of the month but it's just a maybe
7843  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Question] Where to buy BTC without phone verification? on: September 05, 2017, 06:24:25 PM
CEX.io and Paymium both sell Bitcoin, and have a Visa/Mastercard option. I don't know about CEX.io if the site asks a phone member or something else, but Paymium doesn't ask anything, as long you don't reach the limit (of 1000$ I think). BitPanda is another site coming to my mind with Visa but as I have never used it, I don't know if you need to give a phone number or something else.
7844  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING: Poloniex blocking clients from contacting them, SCAM in the making? on: September 05, 2017, 06:17:11 PM
Unfortunately, It will give another reason for the medias to talk badly about Bitcoin to tarnish its image. And some people will learn by the hard way why it is not good to let the coins sleeping on exchanges. I hope you're still able to transfer out your coins, if you can do it asap before it's too late
7845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Suddenly, Bitcoin Breaks into UK Housing Market as Down Payment on: September 05, 2017, 05:57:40 PM
This is another proof that there are demands from customers as well businesses to use solutions crypto oriented. And more demands we will see, more solutions will be added because when there is a market, there is at least someone to makes bank on it
7846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The DEATH of Bitcoin Surfaces Again on: September 05, 2017, 05:42:40 PM
This whole topic is so ridiculous I'm amazed that someone had the nuts to start a discussion again. I could understand bitcoin death topics during the great depression, like the one in 2015, but now? The price is up by over $4000 since last year and there are still people who say it's bad, that we are going to lose money on bitcoin. Unbelievable! Grin

People will continue to make a topic like this one even when Bitcoin lost 10$ in the value. Not only this forum but medias/blogs as well, related or not to crypto doesn't matter. As for medias/blogs, this is how they get their traffic, their money. You can expect that the OP was just seeking attention as well
7847  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Newbie Question : Kraken.com send deposit €100 Euro through SEPA credited €78.72 on: September 04, 2017, 08:46:33 PM
It's definitely not normal because according to their fees page[1], It should be free to make SEPA deposits and even If there were some fees, It shouldn't be that high, Its better to contact support or post in their bitcointalk thread[2]

[1] https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/201396777-What-are-the-deposit-fees-
[2] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=290799.0

I thought so,
Still waiting for the explanation from their support ...

thanks
Do you check your side, maybe your bank charge this amount, this is just my assumption , better ask support.

He would have been credited the full amount on Kraken (100€), and his bank account deducted for the operation cost. The bank can not reduce the original amount. If it was the case then 22€ is just outrageous. Comparing to me, I pay 0€ if I do it myself and about 4€ if I ask to banker to do it for me (which I never ask)
7848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Moneyless Society on: September 04, 2017, 08:05:02 PM
Hi,

I wanted to run this by you and see what you say.

What if we scrapped money altogether and just gave everybody what they wanted?

I know it sounds ridiculous, and everybody would just go for 100 cars and 100 fancy houses, but if you think about it, if you could get everything you wanted, all those things wouldn't be as valuable anymore, and it would lose it's "richness" appeal and people would be bored by it after a while and just settle with what they actually needed. Don't we have all the technology and resources to make this happen? It could also mean less crimes would happen then too.

Sidenote: I love the idea of bitcoin so I don't really want to ruin bitcoin, but hey, maybe we could go there with bitcoin somehow... Smiley

If we stopped using money we'd put all of the elites out of business and would be out of their control

Sounds like a good plan

Not really. In the old time, paper money didn't exist. People were just exchanging, sugar for potatoes, tomatoes for clothes, etc. The elite would need to take control of a few industries (if not already) to get the same garbage economy again. You can't cure cancer if you don't go to the root.
7849  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bonpay Plastic/Virtual Bitcoin Card free order on: September 04, 2017, 07:29:11 PM
I've been sing-up at Bonpay, do I need to ID verification for Virtual cards? Is your issuer card MyChoice as all other Bitcoin cards provides? Isn't Mychoice closing account for customers outside of Europe? we need more info regarding your service.

The cards are issued by MyChoice, and it's currently not available for people outside the European zone... They are working on making the cards available outside Europe. If you are located outside Europe, you are added to the waiting list
7850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin price is currently falling? on: September 04, 2017, 05:16:15 PM
As it is not only Bitcoin but other altcoins as well, there is nothing much to worry about. If it was only Bitcoin ok, let's start clicking the Panic button, but currently, it is not needed. As for now, it is better to wait wisely what's going to happen in the next following days and to see how the market behave.
Again, the recent new about China + BTC-e users who are moving their coins they got back from the platform are making the thing up
7851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin future after China bans ICO and bitcoin to currency exchange, vice versa on: September 04, 2017, 05:00:47 PM
Here we go again with China... Isn't this country that was behind a drama some months ago? Making Bitcoin bad but great again after a new? (which I don't remember). I am confident and in 2 weeks people will forgot already and the crypto market will come back yo what it was. Actually it's shopping time with great discount
7852  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Fees - - - WOW on: September 04, 2017, 09:54:34 AM
Yep, I agree, especially since if you could lower the fees it will be still sent in a timely manner. If you're looking for a web based wallet only then take a look at Bitwala. The advantages of this wallet is that you can set yourself the fees you agree to pay while sending your transaction. And another point is you get your private key.
7853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Uber/Lyft/Paypal would accept bitcoin, game changer? on: September 03, 2017, 08:17:22 PM
There are so many companies can accept bitcoins as payment method. But btc payment option brings so many problems. First and biggest problem is volatility. Crypto world is not stable and less volatile no matter of which coin/token you are referring

From the company side, it is not a big problem as it seems. There are solutions for merchants to have their payment in Bitcoin converted automatically in fiat this to avoid the volatility. Bitpay, Paymium and surely some others offer this solution. So as merchants you don't lose any money. The same could be implemented for the customers side.
7854  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why I can't withdraw from BITTREX on: September 03, 2017, 06:36:11 PM
Is there a one account per person policy in Bittrex? My friend has an old basic account that he has been using since 2015 and has not encountered any problems with the exchange.

I also noticed the only accounts that are disabled are the new accounts. Any idea why?

Bittrex introduced last month a verification process for some accounts (due to so many accounts compromised). A newly created account has a limit of 0 BTC withdrawal per day. To increase the limit the person needs to set up 2FA. As per their TOS, Bittrex allows multi accounts at their own discretion
7855  Economy / Economics / Re: “The future of Money” Whitepaper on: September 03, 2017, 05:20:12 PM
Good luck for your idea.
Good luck to convince a country to full adopt digital currency without traditional paper money

Not so hard as you think, if you look at the process already started years ago. In fact, the increasingly obvious willingness to reverse the "cash" is directly linked to the inefficiency of this monetary policy... The European Commission published already a proposal for an EU initiative on restrictions on payments in cash in 2018.  http://ec.europa.eu/smart-regulation/roadmaps/docs/plan_2016_028_cash_restrictions_en.pdf

7856  Economy / Exchanges / Re: share yours good and bad experience in coinbase and coins.ph on: September 03, 2017, 02:46:30 PM
Coinbase is horrible.
The site becomes low or offline as soon the Bitcoin value start seeing some big up or down. They don't wanna learn and improve their site because each time the situation happen again and again. So if you are in hurry t transfer out your coins because the price started to failed big or something like that, then you won't be able to log in.
Their support is also horrible: If you need any help and contact them, you won't get a reply, not even after a month. So imagine you made a deposit to buy some coins and your deposit is frozen (as it happens often) then your money will stay frozen for an unknow period of time.

7857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: which is the best for botcoin? on: September 03, 2017, 12:25:37 PM
This has been asked many times, you can find 50 topics with the exact same question. No one can tell you what is the best wallet as nobody knows what do you prefer, and nobody knows what kind of wallet you prefer. You should search what are the different types of wallet and then identify what you like most. Then choose a wallet according to your preferences
7858  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Your opinion about the project! on: September 03, 2017, 09:50:04 AM
To be honest, your project doesn't look good. The ROI you are offering seems too high to be taken seriously. In fact, it makes me think you are planing to run a pure HYIP under cover. It would be nice if you give some details about the methods used.If your traders are so successful they wouldn't need to open such project.
7859  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin services available in Canada on: September 02, 2017, 09:52:16 PM
Hello,

I would like to start a discussion about Bitcoin services available in Canada.

I'm currently using QuadriguaCX as my exchange and it is OK so far. I'm wondering if there is now a better way to exchange Fiat to BTC with a lower exchange rates from Canada?

Also, I've seen many bitcoin VISA debit card available online to spend BTC by loading a amount to a kind of prepaid credit card. All those cards seems very convenient but I didn't find one yet that was available for Canadian and that can be loaded with Canadian Dollars. The ones I found can only be loaded with USD or Euro with a conversion rate of aprox. 3% for each transaction when spending in a different currency. Anyway, I would be happy to learn if someone know a card services like this available for Canadians...

Thanks

If you are looking to use a prepaid card and load it with Canadian dollars then better for you to not use any of those bitcoin cards. In this case you should take a look at other services such as Neteller, SolidTrustPay, PCS, Polo and so on... Visa cards for Bitcoin are supposed to be loaded with bitcoin. Those cards are available in 3 currencies only: $, £, €. You won't find any other since all those companies are using Mychoice to be able to sell cards. They just act as a middleman between you and the company.
A company that has been bought by VISA INTL last week and decided to restrict their service to European citizens only

Delaware is a famous state if you need a virtual office with a virtual address and as a bonus you get a low taxes. For me Delaware=Taxs optimizations... I am surprised the guy told you many things that he was not supposed to. It would be nice if you can update this topic to keep us informed about this "Treasure hunt" and more impotant if you get your coins back
