81  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: February 05, 2021, 06:22:00 PM
^  Hah.  I guess I owe somebody 10 bucks.  Lol.
Address sent. Pleasure doing business with you  Grin

I really didn't feel confident I was going to win the bet until the homestretch. Especially after losing the biggest session of the challenge I for sure thought it was going to keep narrowing the lead. I did watch that video Doug put out and he was very specific.

I thought a lot about what he was saying with Dnegs bluffing and overvaluing on how good the spot was. Not that they weren't good bluff spots but that his cards made it a weaker bluff than it should be, like having a pair and a blocker to the nuts as opposed to just blockers.

Weirdest thing about it all was I never looked into their coaching teams, and didn't realise Dnegs wasn't working with any High stakes HU players

83  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi on: January 31, 2021, 04:33:32 PM
I messaged them in chat through telegram. No eta in when the issue will be sorted. I also have no idea if the tournament will run as is with 2 registered. Ideally they cancel this and we just pick up next week for tournament #2
84  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi on: January 25, 2021, 07:58:48 AM
Glad to hear it. Next tournament is a week from now. Yahoo will hook us up with Passwords in the Telegram group or through PM... something as soon the Tournament is launched. Just get your account set up and funded and you're good to go.

It is too easy to write that he is guilty of fraudulent activity. That way you can write that to everyone and close accounts. You must indicate what fraudulent activities have taken place and substantiate it with reasons.
This has been asked several times. And if you don't want to do it in public on the forum, you have to notify the user via Email. You can not close an account and write it is because of fraudulent activities without any reason.
Nope not really. They originally stated that the user could continue to use the platform but needed to stop a certain behavior. The user pleads ignorance to what this is and that's fine. Maybe they have no idea. Either way Betnomi had stated previously they could keep playing but had to stop whatever the habit was.

from there the user said they had no idea, and then asked for their withdrawal and for their account to be closed. So this was an action requested by the customer, and now that it's settled Betnomi has said they are not welcome on the platform moving forward.

The only time the platform really has to give a reason is when they take action such as confiscating funds or closing accounts. Then it is reasonable to expect a reason for their action, to either refute the claim or accept it.
86  Economy / Reputation / Re: blurryeyed, Unfair negative About Trust on: January 23, 2021, 09:31:11 AM
Trust isn't moderated so there's nothing Mods or anyone else can do about the feedback. Are they on DT now or something as I don't see the feedback as trusted but assume that's why it's an issue now. Negative feedback for wearing the Yobit signature was deemed not appropriate last year I believe when the campaign launched. It did I think result in a bunch of temp bans... can't remember.

Either way you've done all you can by PMing them. They either respond or do not, but you just have to move on and ignore it. Any reason they left this feedback now that you know of? They didn't put a reference down, which makes it less than ideal feedback anyways.
87  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi on: January 23, 2021, 09:17:52 AM
If you are VPN'ing. I suggest only playing Poker, and in reality if it's other than just a privacy concern I would only play the series. Just advice for avoiding any unpleasantness down the road.

You are required to input details under your profile before you can withdraw, but they aren't authenticated. In most situations I imagine playing strictly poker on their site wouldn't bring up any issues or flags for KYC, as compared to placing bets, unless it appeared to be a multi-accounting problem.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap wallet question. on: January 20, 2021, 10:32:22 PM
I've used Uniswap a few times to get my hands on some obscure coins before they go to market. I'm sure I do it in the least convenient way possible but it works. I use Trust wallet as I had it previously. I've only ever done this from my phone.

From Trust wallet on my phone, I go into Dapps - Since the latest update Uniswap pops up near the top of the list. Either you click on that and then search your coin from within Uniswap, or you can paste the URL for the coin you are wanting to buy - Smaller tokens only exchanging on Uniswap usually have their Uniswap pairing link on their homepage.

Things to consider with Uniswap is you hold your ETH in your wallet the whole time, you are just creating a transaction to trade with whoever is providing the liquidity to the pairing.
Keep an eye on the gas fees, as there are times where it can be much more expensive to trade, no different than ETH in general.
Some tokens/coins don't show up in your wallet once traded, you may need to add them as a Custom Token - Google how to for your wallet.

Always be careful and be sure to confirm the contract address for the coin you are purchasing.

Do a bit of googling and watch some videos. Anything you do not understand you should research so you have a solid base moving forward.
89  Economy / Collectibles / Re: RFC — current market for peeled Casascius on: January 20, 2021, 09:27:08 PM
Not a lot. Anything beyond a month or so ago is also going to be fairly skewed. I did a quick search and here is your best option on a buyer maybe as they expressed interest from a different thread.

I used the forum search and it wasn't so bad just have select the box find in title, set max days and only look on the collectibles board.

Personally, just take a photo of one and put it up for an auction without a reserve bid, and a decent min bid increment and 7 days runtime. That's the best way to gauge the market value. That or just post it all with images and ask again, as it will be easier for people to help you when they know what you have.
90  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ROUND 3 OPEN - [FREE RAFFLE] New 2021 KW postcards (9 cards total) on: January 20, 2021, 06:42:39 PM
Tweetious will do fine as some aren't catching the stipulations near the bottom of the OP. Namely the date of registration.
READ BEFORE ENTERING:
Your account must have a minimum of 77 merit.
Your account must be created before 7.7.2019.
You have NOT won one of these cards before.

I reserve the right to exclude anyone at my own discretion (for example a lot of negative trust or obvious spam/scam/farm accounts).
I believe spot 3 is the last available

93  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: January 19, 2021, 09:54:14 PM
~horseshit~
Grow a pair and post from your main.

I try not to post here but that last one was just fk'n bonkers. For 1 I don't give a shit what anyone is paid as a lucky side benefit of participating on this forum. I secondly don't give a shit about other campaigns or what they are doing, very happy with the absolute freedom to post anywhere between 1 and 50 posts that I will get paid 6$ for it - (Still more than some minimum wages for 1 hours work) Let that bit sink in a little.

No one here stuck with Chipmixer or propped them up through the bear market as you describe. I can't recall a single one of us saying, "You, know what keep that BTC. Things must be tough" No we all happily took whatever DS deemed worthy of payment and didn't think twice. On the flip side of that CM has continued to offer 50+ users on this forum the chance to stack sats in a very generous manner, that's not going anywhere but it's going to slow down. Makes sense when the value of those Sats has let's say quadrupled the (guestimation) average price in the last 3.5 years.

Let's all just be glad this campaign still exists, and we are being rewarded with BTC. Consider it a fun game to add to the weekly routine of what price will it be. In the end they could have very easily decided to forgo the campaign as it's layed out, slashed participants, and/or paid for forum advertising.

Not one person has even thought of the real victim Darkstar_ they now have to do more math each week, and it's not even constant they will have to input the price variable every single week folks.
94  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 Pro 53th Troubleshooting on: January 19, 2021, 09:14:30 PM
Well I would check with the shop you bought from first. See if there is any sort of Warranty/RMA that they offer, Either way it was damaged in shipping so hopefully you have some option. If that doesn't work Look into this thread here Where to fix your Asic miners.

I've had a good experience with HMtech if you are North America based. Apart from that make sure it's worth the cost of repair for that board. (You'll earn back what it costs to repair in mining rewards)
95  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcointalk poker series #2 hosted by Betnomi on: January 19, 2021, 08:15:04 PM
Sounds good. I'll set an alarm for Sunday as I'll be sleeping off a nightshift. Apart from that layout looks good, price point is down a bit maybe that'll help bring in a few stragglers. Get your PM's sent folks and let's get these spots filled. It would be nice to get to the top tier prizepool, but I'd be happy with the mid tier. If we can average what we had in the 2nd and 3rd series I believe we would hit it.
96  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tax on graphics cards? on: January 19, 2021, 03:28:50 PM
~snip~ and I just ordered a new GPU from Newegg.

Any input would be helpful; thanks everyone.
You probably bought at just the right time then if the price hadn't just spiked. Here is an article that goes into it a bit https://www.extremetech.com/computing/318861-gpu-motherboard-prices-will-jump-thanks-to-us-china-trade-war

Almost like trying to buy GPU's in early 2018 again.

99  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with avalon 841 set up? on: January 18, 2021, 11:03:10 PM
You would never be able to run all 4 safely as I said they draw ~1300W each, and you should never fully load a circuit. You might be able to run 3 maybe, but it also depends on what the initial amperage of the circuit you are drawing off can support (Where the Converter is plugged in)

Did you check the configuration page as I mentioned? Are there settings on it at the bottom of the page where it says more options? This is my next guess seeing as you were able to power on all 4 at the same time. Even if this is the case, the settings that could be there might be necessary for you to try and run all 4 machines, it also improved overall efficiency.

There are a few guys who have a better idea of circuits and converters and how they interact that will likely fill in gaps in future posts as well. definitely check the configuration page, and if yo do not see anything there play around with 1 or 2 miners and allowing them enough time to fully ramp up.

First Edit that post, then if you look near all the emojis and other text tools you'll see this "#" that will give you the code box I mentioned in my post above. Copy that log in between the [codel l/code] tags It makes it easier for people to scroll and maintains the readability of the thread.

You are overloading the circuit. Try setting up 1 miner then 2. I think 2 is the max if even that many, as I haven't played with mining off a converter. I can't remember the exact details but 4 841's will draw to much power to run on that circuit.

Edit: 841's draw ~1300W each.
