101  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Help with avalon 841 set up? on: January 18, 2021, 10:18:01 PM
If you can't solve it going through the troubleshooting guide describe your setup for us if you still need help.

What PSU's are supplying the miners? Are you on 220V circuits? Are these new to you miners? Did they work before? Have you confirmed all PCI-e connectors are in place securely? If problems persist you will want to copy the "logs" into the code "#" box for review.

Code:
Paste logs here

Also if this is used, check the "Configuration" page at the bottom it says more options. If there is any commands written in there something --avalon 8 maybe says voltage -2 or something along those lines you can delete it and then you would be back to full hashrate. A lot of these were tweaked for efficiency, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was sold like that.
102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: precious metal dealers who accept bitcoin? on: January 18, 2021, 10:05:07 PM
You might have decent luck dropping a line on the collectibles page. From time to time I've seen precious metals offered at spot. Depending on what you are looking for as well you might save some sats in shipping/border fees, as a lot of it is already in the US.
103  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 Pro 53th Troubleshooting on: January 18, 2021, 06:03:21 PM
Hey so the best place for some free advice and assistance is the Mining Support board here on the forum. You can move the thread there yourself by selecting move-topic on the bottom left of your screen, or Mods will have moved it by then.

Apart from that any specific information you can provide will be helpful. You say one machine is running, and the other 4 are doing the same thing? They just throw up some red lights. You said you can log in? If you can then you should be able to access the logs and those can be copied and pasted on forum using the # code tag.

Code:
Pase logs in here for ease of scrolling

This way people can scroll them to look for issues. To be sure though you have everything else set up properly - Proper circuit sizing for the gear, appropriate voltage. Do you hear or feel anything rattling around or loose in the miner as you move them around?

Where these ordered from Bitmain or a reseller?
104  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 921 blue light but dont hash on: January 18, 2021, 05:32:43 PM
How long did you wait after turning on the gear to check for an error? The Log readout is showing 55 seconds for relapsed time. If this is the first time you've fired up the gear you should give it a couple minutes to try and ramp up fully to be sure there is a problem in the first place. If it does start hashing, wait a half hour or so to get an idea of it's Total AVG. to decide if there might be an issue.

Answers to everybody's questions will help in sorting this out.
105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vareole is a scammer on: January 16, 2021, 03:49:27 PM
I was able to download the file from OPs skype account. The json code provided was authentic, actmyname also confirmed me the same.
Okay well that clarifies that bit. I was inclined to believe OP but was fairly positive apart from accessing their account there was no way to validate their information. I previously opted not to place the following opinion on the matter in this thread until more was revealed.

Regardless of what address was posted I hold Vareole responsible for OP's lost funds. You do not post an address, ask for payment, then edit the address ever. Even if it's posted in error, you should leave it there, and then just post that that was the wrong address please send to: [Insert correct address] Never deleting or editing the conversation. Given what we know of Skype there is no way from us to see what address was in fact posted originally, this would be damning evidence either way.

My neutral feedback on the matter looked at this as at the very least poor practices in providing their service and at the worst shady dealings. Could Vareole have been taken advantage of in that moment. Seems far fetched, given OP could not have known that Vareole would have edited the address as opposed to typing out the proper one after posting their TX. I'll be revising my feedback to reflect that vareole lied about the edit, and dismissed OP until DT looked into the matter. Very dangerous for newbies when this is how service is provided.
106  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 15, 2021, 10:35:27 PM
Really? As i remember it was around 25 dollars. One part is buy in and the second (smaller) part was sent to some account (for additional prize in final). Anyway, 15 dollars looks like good enough for me  Smiley
Will try to join next series
That was the BTC tournament on SWC, in this series we've only been doing the entry and it's FIAT based on Betnomi with a 15$ entry. We haven't run a side pool at all here for lottery or anything like that. I've preferred it this way. I can't even remember what it was at the time but I think it was still around 15 USD at that time depending on price.
107  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Adkinsbet .com scam 210mBTC on: January 15, 2021, 10:22:35 PM
it is very dangerous to send any documents to such fraudulent sites.moreover, it is very clear that they will not pay me. even the deposit will not be returned to me.
it is very dangerous to send any documents to such fraudulent sites.moreover, it is very clear that they will not pay me. even the deposit will not be returned to me.
No. This is where it is perfectly acceptable to send your KYC documents as requested. Just because there are some scam accusations against them in other regards, doesn't negate what has been requested of you. This is especially relevant if they've been asking for KYC documents for 5 weeks, at that time I don't believe there were many accusations beyond the few that got resolved.

While I think they have dropped the ball for too long in simple matters I can see they've replaced their forum representative. They appear to be working towards remedies for situations that have spiralled out of control, due to apparent miscommunication.

It is your decision to make but if you do not provide the documents you really do not have an accusation, that holds up to industry standards.

Edit: At this moment in time it is not advisable to provide KYC to Adkinsbet. There are various scam accusations amongst other worrying concerns with that company.
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi Poker Series $1000 (OPEN to ALL) on: January 15, 2021, 10:08:27 PM
Might or might not be a lower prize pool. Do we want to chare extra buyin for PW? Any other changes? Def need more players participating if we wanna see a 3rd series.
Whenever it gets posted I'll play if I'm available. I like the buy-in what it's at, raising it I think does more to detract from new participants joining than assist with attracting anyone. I think 1 week before we launch the series we should look back through all our past participants and invite them via PM to the series. This way we don't have people showing up half way through deciding not to take a shot because they are behind in points.

I hope this was a mutual decision .. As for the tournament dollars, I tried to test but in vain (I tried to cancel registration in one of the tournaments, thinking that the funds will be credited to the bonus account).
As mutual as it can be. No hard feelings or anything. I was able to assist when they needed it on forum, and then once they had a better handle on their live support and telegram groups the additional forum support wasn't vital. Shame to hear about the tournament tickets. Hopefully they can integrate some of the suggestions into their poker client sooner rather than later, as there are things I can't get past to put in more volume there.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ✅ SwC Poker ♣️ Player Lounge on: January 15, 2021, 10:47:36 AM
Do you mean like closing accounts and declining withdrawals to "get in contact" with people and have them agree to a list of demands, including "stop critique here", before reinstating the accounts of letting people withdraw
Because that has happened atleast twice now.
I do. I would have people bring proof of that here if they give a shit. That's f'd up behavior. I have no problem with a company deciding to not allow a customer to play on their site and bad mouth them at the same time - Jon Little syndrome.

I do have a problem with them holding funds hostage, and I imagine most of the BTC. community would as well.
110  Economy / Reputation / Re: AdkinsBET's reputation. Is something wrong? on: January 15, 2021, 10:13:39 AM
Interesting that Royse777 and Steamtyme are involved in every Adkinsbet accusation topic.
Prove it, or your first statement is utter bullshit.
Quote
You would think that these accounts are managed by the same person, or at least that there is a collaboration. A good example of Royse777's expertise on Betnomi.
If you have an inability to review users posts and areas of expertise then yeah definitely something people might think.

Quote
noteworthy also that Steamyme also bears Betnomi's signature and is always in the topis of Royse with gambling and always agree with Royse.
Again completely false. Chipmixer holds my signature - You probably meant my Avatar, yes that is paid for on a 3 month term.

For your off-topic Betnomi stuff. That is an interesting example as I gave them the same treatment I gave Adkinsbet. They then took me up on my offer to act a as forum liaison, as my field of expertise is more forum than gambling. Where as they were not handling things on forum professionally. It was a mutually beneficial and short partnership but it worked and they have a better handle on how to communicate and act on forum.

Quote
Both always side with the customer, and Adkinsbet is always to blame.
Only when they are in the wrong.

Steamtyme and Royse are always in every Adkinsbet case.
Prove your bullshit
Quote
Other cases seems to be not interesting to them. For sure there is one person involved who manage these accounts both. I would not be surprised if Betnomi is trying to blow Adkinsbet away as Adkinsbet is a serious competitor. Is is to obvious how they work.
I definitely cherry pick what accusations I dig into. for one I want to feel informed enough about a subject to be able to make an impartial judgement. Should really check up on things as I'm no longer affiliated with Betnomi, outside of playing poker and renting them my Avatar space for a little over another month unless they decide to continue renting it.
Quote
Adkinsbet wrote yesterday the user breached the terms because users are slendering them on the forum. They can decide whatever they want to fill in the terms.
You should put that in your personal text, really advertise that sweet sweet term. They are definitely separating themselves from the pack with that one. It is the responsibility from the user to read it.
Quote
Damaging a reputation on a forum can cost your credibility and cost a lot of money. If they want to avoid it like this
I couldn't agree more. That's why I advised them to look into Customer Service and Customer retention training. Most of the issues I reviewed were slam dunk easy cases for a business to handle, and avoid them ever making it to the forum.
Quote
It is time to report the conspiracy from Royse777 and steamtyme and take action, and this action will come quickly.
Giver shit bud.

111  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling iluvbitcoins....are you scamming me or what? on: January 15, 2021, 04:50:52 AM
I'm pretty sure this will be okay in the end.
I probably would have waited until the next day to see if they've come online and not taken care of their end of the trade before creating this topic. Not my money/Sats though so I can understand people doing things differently. I've gotten the impression your accounts are in vastly different parts of the world, so if they assumed you were waiting for the PP before sending funds they may have just crashed or be afk. I know a trade should be dealt with ASAP but not everyone does that unless specifically directed to do so.

Either way I'll monitor and hope this works out for the best.
112  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vareole is a scammer on: January 15, 2021, 04:18:42 AM
I have tagged the account neutral for now with a reference link to this thread. Will wait to see what Vareole has to say regarding these accusations and the changing of addresses.

This is an instance of why I do not communicate trades off forum with users. PM's can't be edited once sent, and there is a particularly useful user who scrapes all posts for their original content so edits wouldn't matter.

~snip~
No one on DT has tagged the account yet, that's part of the reason. With a lot of the accounts being newbie they will get dismissed more often than not. This was an instance that I think showed at the least very questionable methods of finalizing an exchange.

113  Economy / Reputation / Re: AdkinsBET's reputation. Is something wrong? on: January 15, 2021, 03:04:38 AM
I wouldn't take Royse777 seriously. From day 1 he has been digging into Adkinsbet. He is also actively present in every accusation topic to always take it up for the customer. Adkinsbet is always to blame, he says. And then use a bought account yourself as DT status to do a little interesting on the forum. Laughable.
I take you even less seriously. You could easily do minimal research through the threads where Adkinsbet shit the bed royally on the simplest of issues a sportsbook can face. You would have noted this little exchange

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5299499.msg55830076#msg55830076 From a locked topic you were a part of. Royse777 plays there and may still. I don't know. This topic was from before they piled up another bunch of scam accusations. Which at this moment are simply accusations but their past actions, don't leave them much room for credit in their unilateral decisions.

For example withholding winnings because the bookmakers feeling were hurt. FFS

Honestly you seem a bit obsessed with this casino, I don't quite understand why.

OK, so they have shills. That's not a crime. How does that separate them from any other major casino around here?

I'm wary of DT that constantly attack the same casinos attacked by sockpuppets.

The actual problem to the forum isn't casino shills -- they've been here for as long as I have. It's the persistent, baseless attacks on casinos by scum who solely exist to exploit defects in the casino. When they get caught, they write up a scam accusation here, and you tend to give them the benefit of the doubt more often than not. Why?
I would start with reading the OP and following some links, it's fairly simple to see where the issue has been and why it was necessary for DT intervention. This thread was reasonable and seems to have become more relevant. The sockpuppet shit is just because they were stupid enough to come and bump the thread... fucking dense.
It was a major point in how several of the users with issues early where attacked verbally of course for attempting to resolve their very simple issues.

I'll say this much Sorry Royce777 for dragging you into this shitshow originally, as 1 DT members opinion wasn't good enough for ADkinsbet to realize they owed a user their legitimate winnings.

So no Royce isn't giving extra scrutiny. Adkinsbet wiffed it on a few softballs blowing their credibility as I said above.

Edit: corrected term used "scrutiny"
114  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: t2tz stop working once a day on: January 15, 2021, 01:53:30 AM
How much gear are you running and in what environment?? Whether it's random or at a specified time it could be a few things. I have no idea how long you've been mining so we'll go through it all.

Heat may be your problem, how is your farm arranged? Do you adequately exhaust the miners so that the hot air isn't recirculating? Because you mention raising the Shutdown for high temp I'm guessing this is the case.
If you are venting properly, when is the last time you cleaned or inspected your miners? This should be done regularly especially if you are not filtering the intake air for the gear.

If it's nothing like that. What else is on the circuit supplying the Miners? Does any other equipment turn on around the same time these are going down? How many miners are on the same circuit? If you are overloading the circuit miners could drop off before the breaker trips.

There are dozens of little details that can go wrong, best to cover all your bases.

Any luck with your T17e hashboard? feel free to respond to this in that thread.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's F'n happening ----- Polk VS. Negreanu HUNL Grudge Match on: January 14, 2021, 10:21:55 AM
Anyway..  I think I’m gonna owe somebody 10 bucks in a couple of weeks or so.  Lolol.
Here's to hoping. Was getting less comfortable until todays results.

Doug managed to win a decent one pulling back 100K+, so he's back over 600K - I believe it was a 600 hand day which makes sense Daniel has cut the session shorter when he gets down. Definitely not over but this makes it a harder path to victory for Daniel.

The best scenario would be Doug to win the this HU Match with less than $50k advantage over Dneg. $50k is basically peanut for Dneg and that means the only loser of this match would be those backing up Dneg for the side bet  Tongue
Depending on what bets he took, Daniel is still going to be losing. Pretty sure he didn't bet against himself. If he took Perkins up on his 10:1 to beat Doug he still loses 100K there or whatever stake they went with. No matter what if he didn't bet on himself to lose, he's losing more.

Now if he pull out the win, Doug is losing a ton of cash, and I have to kiss my 50 good bye  Shocked
116  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: found 78 asic,but 0 Frequency on: January 14, 2021, 07:52:52 AM
His hashrate is perfectly reported, there are a few versions of the T17e, judging by the fact that his shows about an average of 18.7th per board it means he has the 53th version and he got a lucky miner because 53th is the highest and that would average slightly below 18th per board.

I just meant "Total" up top. If he was showing 53 I would have just assumed sensor issue. Wouldn't be the first time someone was worried about a visual problem.

It's a busbar/bridge set-up, it's not uncommon to find loose screws in these 17 series, so good point, he should check those as well.

Yeah I remember having some issues with my busbar style miners. that would be one of my first checks, ensuring screws are tight and everything is seated properly.
117  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by user vareole on: January 14, 2021, 05:50:31 AM
Did this happen today, or yesterday?

This happened yesterday, on the 13th of January.
Did you confirm the address you copied from skype before hitting send. Just throwing this out there to doublecheck your system to ensure you didn't pick up any malware that replaces addresses, always best practice.

In the future a good practice is to copy the message and respond to them to confirm the address, this way you can definitely prove that you sent to the right address and no one can edit your reply.

Can you post your txid? At least this way some people can try and piece things together if there is anything to find and prove.
118  Economy / Lending / Re: What to do with two physical bitcoins on: January 14, 2021, 05:36:18 AM
Probably not a great idea to try and use them as collateral. They really defeat the purpose of crypto lending when you have to physically ship the item.

Here is the Collectibles There is a good chance you could sell 1 of them for crypto at a slight mark-up - I think they maybe go for 1.1 or 1.2 BTC for a loaded 1BTC CAS depending on grading and what not. Either way these are the people that know physical crypto in and out.

You may even be able to trade for some other smaller denomination coins and only cash out part of your coin. Don't forget they will also have forked coins associated with them, if you wind up peeling or someone offers you face value type stuff.
119  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan scam victim? on: January 14, 2021, 05:30:16 AM
Seeing as you are offering a service you could create a thread on the Services board. If you are seeking "Scammed" individuals you can go look over the Scam Accusations board and offer assistance there.

Not a lot of escrows involved in the lending boards. Generally you are borrowing coin from an individual and providing them your collateral. I believe I've only seen one disagreement over changing value of coins and late loan repayments, not sure about scams in that regard. Most loan scams are just defaulters who disappear.
120  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: found 78 asic,but 0 Frequency on: January 14, 2021, 05:15:56 AM
What is your total hashrate for the machine showing?? 37ish ? I'm just curious if your total hashrate is low or if this is some sensor issue?

@mikeywith how are the PSU connections on these made inside the machine?? Is it still pci-e or similar to the Whatsminers making a connection on a bridge baord.

It could be something like a loose connection and as simple as making sure it's seated.
