New public pool: savel
Fee: 6+1 %
Payout is 11:00 UTC
Minimum payout: 0.1 SEM
Note: no payout for unvote

Welcome!
Don't see it listed here: http://pool.7u.org/

It's there.   Look at the bottom of the list.

It's not a validator (by default), so all deligates without enough votes to forge blocks are at the bottom.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread on: February 04, 2019, 03:15:56 PM
Honestly, the operational mechanism of SEMUX network is a bit hard to understand for me.
Validators, are they the same as stakers on other networks?

A staker is a person.
The staker has SEM which he can vote with.

The staker votes on a deligate.
The deligate is a validator when it is in the top 100 of the deligates.

So, if you vote in the top 100 (validators), then then forge new blocks.
Each block forged has 3 sem going to the validator.

Now, it's up to the validator if they pay out a fair share to the people that voted in to make it possible to become the validator.

If you want to know which pays better, then go to the top of the list on websites like  http://pool.7u.org which keeps track of the current position of validators by best paying.

OP says that the campaign goes until december but comments says it's over
can you confirm and update OP in case it's over?

cheers! Cheesy

It's over.
Likely had something to do with the abuse, but mainly because it wasn't a way to get it to a wider adoption.

They collected more than 3 billion dollars. This is too much, that would not lead to a scandal.

Smiley
Money leading to scandal?   Never.   Smiley

I've noticed that suddenly support on stocks exchange went up from 0.5 BTC to almost 3 BTC. For me it's a good indication: bigger buywalls = higher chances for the price to rise...

Awesome.  Hope it starts going up.

And, happy belated bday SEM

This might appear to be a stupid question; however, exactly what is a VM (Virtual Machine)?
It seems people are asking about it and for it, but it doesn't appear anyone is mentioning 'what' it is or will do.

88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 reasons why future ICOs will use Byteball instead of Ethereum (+screenshots) on: September 03, 2018, 02:51:16 AM
I've known about byteball for long time now and I really like the platform. It's only the high price that has always been discouraging me to buy some of it and keep all this while. These features you mentioned are very awesome and I hope it can gain wide acceptance in the near future

High price?

It's been dropping all year.  It's the lowest it's been for over a year.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: September 02, 2018, 03:42:13 AM

Everyone who is on this list should be ashamed and your nothing more than a thief, there is no difference between stealing something from a store or stealing from people online. It could be a good idea to report this profiles every week in a thread in the reputation part of this forum. Someone from DT might take some action after they are reported.

I'd like to clear up something.
Just being on the list simply means disqualified.  It doesn't specifically mean the person defrauded or abused the Semux sig campaign.
I believe a couple of people have been re-included in the campaign as well.

PS.  I am not and was not on the list.  And, yes, MOST on the list were in fact abusing the campaign via multiple and trackable BCT accounts.

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: August 29, 2018, 04:43:35 PM
i have joined the semux bounty today!
But i have a question, so it says i there is only one post per week required? Do i get more SEM by writing more posts or is the amount fixed du to the merit score ?
Du brauchst tatsächlich nur einen Post. Mehr bringen nichts. Den Avatar kannst Du bei mir klauen.

Exactly.   Your post count must increase by at least 1 per week.   Spamming the forum with more posts doesn't reward you with more SEM.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: August 27, 2018, 03:46:29 PM
If the math is "your_stake = Math.min(500, your_merit_points + 50)", does that mean everyone is being credited with at least 500 stake even if merit is below 500?

No, it means your maximum is 500.

Math.min takes the smaller number of the two.... 500 or   merit+50

all the people who were in it for the free airdrop are out.

Not true for me.

Same here.

I didn't sell a single one.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 23, 2018, 06:29:30 PM
Who would not say anything, but watching by the number of bounty members.
Looks like , that a reduction in reward, does not scare anyone away.

Why would it scare anyone.  Once signed up, you don't really have to do anything to get the free sem.

The disappointing thing I see is those that move their free sem to an exchange to sell.  The fun part is to see those people later  crying about cashing in their free funds at a low amount.

Of course not everything goes up, but think about the people that dumped the free forks (ie lumens, ripple, etc).
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: August 17, 2018, 05:18:10 PM
hello sir how do you calculate the stake that you give?
I have 100 merits How many stakes did I get for 1 post?

It's not about the number of posts you make as long as the post count is higher per week by at least 1.
I don't see that you're even signed up for the campaign yet.  The list is updated weekly on Sunday.  So, if you signed up in the last 5 days, it will not be visible.

I am facing the same problem continuously since last 3 weeks...my payment is misssing since 3 weeks which really bad...every week i made 3-4posts but due to some of my old post being deleted i am not getting paid....rules clearly said we need to make more that 1 post per which i am doing per week but i missed all the payment of three weeks till now...dont think i will get them now because dev never responds

On week 5, you had 493 post count
On week 6, you had 493 post count
On week 7, you had 493 post count
Current is 490

So, although you are posting, your prior posts are being deleted.  Your post count is actually going down.
Either you are deleting posts or they are being deleted.  Possibly because of the content you are posting?

what can participants do if old threads are disposed of somewhere in the forum?
in case of doubt, the postings of the last week must be considered and not only the total counter.

Just keep posting valid/applicable content to ensure your post count goes up.
Threads are not deleted for no reason.   Posts being deleted are also typically for a reason.

how much get an legendary account with over 1000merit ?

Currently about 100 SEM per week; however, that number is dropping as more people sign up.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][SEM] Semux - Bitcointalk Signature Campaign on: August 16, 2018, 09:53:13 AM
I think the dev needs to clarify the rule of posts per week.
Rather, if the distribution time occurs, the posts that were not deleted this week will be counted. (Older posts deleted are not relevant)
It seems dev is currently evaluating activity according to the total number of posts at the time of the spreadsheet.
If this week you have a smaller total number of posts than the previous week (the time when the participant list was created), you will be ignored that week. That's not fair.

i agree with you. i got caught in week 6 as already mentioned. i hope the matter can be resolved soon  Wink
and those responsible should also be regularly active here. not only on other platforms (discord).

Easy to resolve.   Simply post more than once a week (or quite simply a net positive post count).   Post good content so your posts don't get deleted.

It's completely fair.   Maybe people will stop posting spam/crap posts just to score a few extra points on a sig campaign?
Also funny how many people sign up with purchased BCT accounts just to get free money and then complain about not getting free money because they didn't follow the rules.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 16, 2018, 02:48:48 AM
If I got skipped one round for being on holiday, do I have to do anything to take part in the next round (like re-applying)? Thanks!

No.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 14, 2018, 10:07:39 PM
Hello, sir,
Is it really official news about the signature recommendations on the Semux project?
If this is official, I am very interested in finding it
Are payments made every week?

Read the first post.  Or, best to go directly to the sig campaign thread at:   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4894210.0
- Links to the people that subscribed and to those that were paid - weekly.

unfortunately I did not receive any payment this week.
980736,fengyun88,Member,181,10,0x0cecec27eb37006671311f67f30fb9db08adf6b0

That is because your post count was 181.   You posted once (Aug 6th, 2018), but a prior post was deleted, so your count remained at 181.   Ergo, you posted nothing.
Since then, you posted 4 more times, so your post count will show an increase this week assuming no more of your posts get deleted.

This thread is essentially 400+ pages of basically price and bounty talk with next to 0 discussion about Semux itself. This is how you know this project is going nowhere.

A complaint about useless posts with a useless post.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 13, 2018, 03:55:58 PM

Hmmm on the site can not be mistakes in the calculations?
because im voiting for a "public" pool and today im got  approximately 1.2 sem for 1000 votes, although yesterday he was in third place and showed approximately 1.33 sem for 1000 votes. It turns out I did not get about 10% from what was supposed to get.

Payment was for a full day

The site isn't making a mistake in calculations.  Math is math.

Something you should consider (since you didn't provide your address to check) is that.....
The numbers are constantly changing.
Votes come and go which make a constant amount impossible.

As for the 'public' pool, it pays out at 5AM PST.   So, if you vote in at 10AM, then you're not going to get the calculated amount since you were not voted in for a 24 hour period.
Also, for all pools, your votes doesn't count for the first 200 blocks (100 minutes) to prevent people from votes/unvoting constantly.

Basically, you will find that the following day will get you your full share since you will actually have a full 24 hours.

Also keep in mind that voting in 1000 votes (or whatever) showing you should expect 1.4 today, might show 1.3 tomorrow as more and more people vote in.  Since votes are constantly changing, you should watch http://pool.7u.org to see which pays more.  Don't make the mistake of chasing the best pool, because unvoting from one might actually move it then to the best paying pool, just like voting in the best might move it down the list (And, you likely lose the potential profit on those votes for 200 blocks as well).
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SEM] Semux - Official Thread - Free Airdrop on: August 12, 2018, 05:08:10 PM
Thanks for sharing this website, so far I know now you can always take the pool that is on top of the list even if there is a bigger fee. The profit row included the fee of the pool already something that wasn't clear for me directly

Just to explain it for everyone....
The site is sorted by the most profitable pool being at the top.
(The most 'Profit' field has the highest at the top of the list.)

First number you need to know is how many SEM a pool makes daily.  That is 86.4 (average)
2880 blocks per day =  24 hours * 60 minutes * 2 blocks per minute
8640 SEM per day  = 2880 blocks * 3 SEM per block
86.4 SEM per validator (pool) = 8640 SEM per day / 100 Validators

To walk through a calculation, let's pick the current highest paying pool

Rank   Name   Address                                                                     Votes   Fee   Stake   Profit
85   public   0x3d09f227061b427c78bef9a216fb3a709587cb3b   55 024   11%   1.78%   1.369

Currently ranked 85. The pool name is 'public'. The address of the pool. Current number of votes it currently has, etc etc.
Profit shows 1.369
(The site bases everything on 1000 votes.   So, if you have 500, then you will get half the expected.  If you have more, then you get more.)

Your votes / (total votes + your votes) =  1000 / (55024 + 1000) = 0.0178494930743967
So, your percentage of the pool = 1.78494930743967%

Your % * sem daily per pool - pool fee = profit
0.0178494930743967 * 86.4 = 1.542196201627875

profit - pool fee = net profit

1.542196201627875 - 11% = net profit
1.542196201627875 - 0.1696415821790663 = 1.372554619448809

Yeah, there is a couple of ways to calculate it.  The site shows a slightly different number, but that is because of rounding.
