Someone invested 300 BTC a while ago. Or maybe several people, but it jumped from 8560 BTC to 8860 pretty quick.

We had a bunch of these 300 BTC spikes.

Like some whale is just buying slowly in bundles to be less obvious.

Sometimes a BTC block takes 1 hour and within 1 hour there can be many incoming transactions.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 19, 2016, 07:17:34 PM
One question about this quote. First of all, since the fee per transaction is 0.1 LISK, what happens with transactions of a lower amount?

This means a 15% inflation rate the first year, but I was wondering how it has been estimated that 3,000,000 blocks will be created in around 1 year and not more?

If you send 0.01 LISK, you need to spend a total of 0.11 LISK.

A day has 86.400 seconds, that means 8640 blocks can be created every day in the best case. That means in about 350 days there are 3,000,000 blocks. The best case will very likely not be achieved. Therefore it takes a bit longer.

Thank you for your quick answer ! Grin

Let's imagine one day that lisk valuation rase to 1$ for example, they the transaction fee would be expensive don't you think? Even more for day to day user that will for example need 100$ to create an username if we include other network fees.

Trying to think big for Lisk Cool

We will release constant updates, so fees can be configured according to the price. We may think about another system in the future, for now we keep things simple.

Thank you again for your answer ! Good luck in the workload comming in the next weeks!

Thank you very much. Welcome to Lisk! Smiley

Hi there, some of my lisk addresses are 20 and others 21 characters long... is this still correct?

Regards

Yes.

So ico.lisk.io has a user pass ... that is all I need to remember for now right? No client passphrase or second passphrase?

No! You need to generate a passphrase on the ICO website! Smiley

Where can i find informations about the legal statut of Lisk?
it is a non-profit association?
a company?
individuals receiving donations?

thanks

Max has already conceded that there is no incorporated entity yet.

At this time it is Max, Axel Hellinger (a German lawyer), and Paul Klanscheck (of Coinimal but acting in a personal capacity) who control the funds on a 2 of 3 vote to release. Oliver has no technical involvement in releasing funds. Not sure why that is. There is no CFO.

In essence at the moment it is individuals receiving donations.

The money goes into an escrow account, which is different than individuals receiving money. Oliver has no account in the multi-signature, because then the multi-signature vault has to be 3 of 4. This is not supported by Coinbase.

The fact that the dev showed the Btc on video with a cellphone feels pretty sketchy and unprofessional. Lol I'm going to sit this one out.  good luck guys.

I hope to see you stick around! Smiley

what cryptis mistakes?? IT HAS THE SAME CODE except for the logo. are you all dumb?....never mind I get it you just want a p&d
it's made by PR managers, not developers

Crypti's old foundation wasted money.

Not completely true. The Crypti foundation managed all funds with great care and spend them very wisely. Crypti just didn't invest in conferences, marketing and partnerships. Also such a project needs clear leadership, else it will end in talk.

How do we know the BTC isn't reinvested by the people running the ICO?

We'd like to see the address that holds all the BTC from the ICO and to make sure none of that BTC is being reinvested in itself.

All funds are in escrow and can't be accessed by the team right now.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 19, 2016, 08:53:03 AM
so is this coin at risk, that warning seems scary enough, again another way to scam or everything is fine, can the dev deliver more news about the matter?

As far as I know, the Lisk team have not receive any statement regarding coinbase investigation on certain transactions.

In my opinions, this is all common fud to halt or slow down the ICO.

ah i see that user is spreading fud on purpose, i thought he was affiliate with the dev, what's the poiint of this, the investment is fixed on the ico, and there will be no dumping under current price of investments

Correct, we were not contacted by the Police, Interpol, Coinbase or Bitcointalk.

Hey tombstone2,

I'm sorry if I caused confusion. I inserted into the quote below what I meant with my sentences.

Actually, Max has said a few times that you can use Poloniex to send (see below).  But I haven't seen him or anyone else mention what to do about the passphrase.

Was wondering the same thing, i'm guessing i need a designated XCR wallet due to the need of "return address"...
Is that correct?

Not necessarily. You can also generate a deposit address on Poloniex and use that. However this address needs to have a public key, and it only gets this by sending at least 1 small TX to it. If you PM me your address I can send you a small amount and initialise this account, once I find the time.

You need to send the XCR from your own account. I only talked about the "return address" here for the case you don't want to maintain a XCR wallet.

I can't deposit Crypti to ICO. "Return address is not a valid Crypti address".
I tried wallet address and my poloniex deposit address.

The account needs to have at least 1 incoming transaction. Write me the address via PM and I will do it once I have the time.

Again, only talking about the return address.

Don't use your Polo address, as it is not actually an address you posses and if the funds will actually return Polo wont link it with you and you'll have to contact them.

If you use your deposit address all is fine. This refund address is only for the case that ShapeShift isn't working. Not if you want a XCR refund later, there we will use the address you sent the XCR from.

This is very confusing, I see it now. Sorry.

So if you use the deposit address from Poloniex as your return address, it's OK. However, it needs at least 1 incoming transaction.

With "refund address" I had a freudian slip and meant "return address". In the case a ShapeShift exchange (all exchanges besides BTC and XCR) is malfunctioning on ShapeShift's part, then they automatically (in most cases) return the money involved.

Regarding the XCR refund (which is possible for 1 month after the ICO, read more), we will use the address you sent the money from. However, you can always mention another address during our refund conversation.

I thought people could not downvote someone just remove there vote.

yes, correct.

(what wouldnt matter cause he got 12%)

Yes, but theoretically could the other 88% vote for 101 other delegates

But you can only vote one coin ones right ? that means 1% of the coin will always be a delegate cause there cant be another 100 accounts with 1% coins, cause there is only 100% coin amount.

Thats what i mean, 1% of the coin is a certain delegate. Or am i completely off.

Been around in crypto for a while but never in a Dpos coin.

Just take a look here and you will understand it. https://cryptichain.lisk.io/delegateMonitor
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 18, 2016, 03:38:36 PM
Only i hope there will be a Dapp that makes people run a deleagte togheter cause with one person buying about 15% of the ico he can easly set up 15 delegates, thats what worries me that one gonna try to control many delegates

cause with 15 delegates he will get like 1,5 million coins in year 1. making it able to make more delegates for year 2.

running a delegate has nothing to do with the size of its account. And he doesn't get more income than an account with less Lisk.

True and not true, A Delegate is someone to be voted on with 1 lisk be 1 vote.

Meaning that if you own 1 million lisk you always will have a Delegate if you vote them all for yourself.
Cause 1 million means 1% of the total coin cap and there will be 101 delegate correct me if im wrong.

Yes, but 99% could vote against you...

I thought people could not downvote someone just remove there vote. (what wouldnt matter cause he got 12%)

Let's say you have 1M LISK. And there is a total of 100M LISK.

If only you vote for your delegate you have an approval of 1%. But the 101st delegate could have collected 25% of the votes by multiple other people (everyone can vote for 101 different delegates).

Hey guys,

Yesterday a friend and I presented Bitcoin on a small local entrepreneur meetup. I also said a few things about Lisk. The feedback was very positive and although the event was really small (~20 people) there were 2 interested JS developers. Smiley

I know that this won't change things drastically, but I just want to show you guys that I'm here out in the public. Presenting Lisk. Pushing it into the real world. This obviously will be done on a much bigger scale in the future.

Just to remove the concerns some of you have. Wink

815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 18, 2016, 11:28:03 AM
which exchanges?

who is your CFO?

There are a few ones who expressed interest. Only C-cex announced their support in public. So either you need to contact the individual exchanges yourself or wait for an announcement from them.

Here you can see our current team, which will grow in the future. We don't have a CFO.

You've raised ALOT of funds allready, mind explaining how those are gonna be spent?
It's the least you can do to take away some of the concerns...

Hello,

I answered this several times already, however I can understand that it disappears in all these posts here. The funds will obviously be used for the development and promotion of Lisk.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg14017335#msg14017335

a published budget would be polite.

Yes. However, I hope you understand that we have much more and urgent things to do right now. We will post transparency reports every month and a business plan + fund usage will also come. It just takes a lot of time to prepare, and right now it's impossible to prepare anything. There is just too much on our hands BEFORE the launch.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 18, 2016, 10:34:27 AM
How much time after the ico ends will delay the income of Lisk to an exchange?

Lisk will launch 1-3 weeks after the ICO. The exact time depends on a few variables, e.g. how many ICO participants didn't generate their passphrases yet. More details soon, we will heavily communicate this after the ICO ends. We will provide a validator this weekend, so that users can check they saved the correct passphrase.

Soon after that Lisk will be on the first exchanges. Wink

Is there a wallet for Lisk? I see the web one but is there a stand alone wallet for it?

There will be a wallet after launch.

When I set up 2-Factor Authorization it did NOT give me a 16 digit key.

So if I lose my phone I'm screwed?

Or is there a way to get the key?

Thanks.

You would need to contact us on http://support.lisk.io/ and provide us as much information about your exchanges (transaction ID, exchange ID, currencies, amounts..) as possible.

Does, or will, Lisk use Sia (sia.tech) as a storage backend like Crypti does?

No, although it's a GREAT technology it wasn't suitable for our needs. Smiley

Lisk Asset Group has plans to support the lisk team and community through promotions & creative marketing approaches..

What is the "Lisk Asset Group"? Please get in contact with me (PM->Skype)! I'm extremely interested into what you guys want to achieve.  Cool

We've spent the past few days researching and investigating the two individuals and the Lawyer behind Lisk, with some colleagues in Germany and United Kingdom. We came across some shattering information that will be detrimental if not fatal to Lisk project.

We are forwarding all the findings to the police authorities in Germany and to the Interpol.

We advise everyone to request refunds for your investments in this IPO to avoid having funds frozen by Coinbase or by the authorities.

If this is not a stupid troll attempt, which I think it is. Please get in contact with me as well. I would like to hear those "shattering information".

why ipfs and not sia for storage? (as it was with crypti)

Even though Sia is a great technology, it's not suitable for our intended purpose. Afaik we needed to maintain our own Sia network with a bridge for the API calls.
