Thanks guys, I will be checking out both, especially peter's recommendation, sounds like my type of book.

If you like "Black Hawk Down", you might also like "Thunder Run" by David Zucchino. Not quite as intense, but still pretty good.

Great! Thanks for recommending these, it will keep me busy.

You want us to waste bitcoins?

It's interesting, something which people get a kick out of.
8064  Other / Off-topic / Recommend me some books on: June 17, 2013, 10:55:33 PM
Any books.

I will prefer ones that teach me how to do something, like crafting. Or it could be a fictional book. I want to hear some good books which will give me some relaxing time.
Been a little stressed lately Smiley

Also noticed games have becoming more easy. Have you seen these Facebook apps that people are into? A few of my girlfriends have been into these because they are so easy. I have asked a few what is so good, and they all replied "They are addictive". I haev never took a liking to iphone/facebook apps. They have no challange what so ever. They have too bad graphics, I don't like cartoon games, you know what I'm talking about.

I want my Sega mega drive back, why did I even sell it.

Sounds like a interesting project. You would want to send them a message/email personally though I think.
8068  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: blockchain.info stole 3.81BTC off me on: June 17, 2013, 10:43:36 PM
Willing to provide proof? Are you sure? Someone may have gained access to you're account.
8069  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: has anyone tried "double your bitcoins"? on: June 17, 2013, 10:36:31 PM
I am quitting life, and I have too many bitcoins! So I'm giving away bitcoins for FREE!

Just send bitcoins to 1GCPtL8Xj1yvkfcPUgsc4MrAHc48Rzn9b3 and I will send you back DOUBLE for free!

... Do you really have to ask?

This reminds me of the scams in eve-online, basically the same thing. Send me ISK, I'll double it. The way it works is they will usually double small amounts and then when some idiot sends a big amount, they don't double it but just keep it.

You took the words right outta' my mouth.. .. .. It musta' been whilst I was kissin' youu!
Nice meatloaf lyrics...

Anyway, never trust systems like this. They normally start off legit, to make people think OMG, then they scam a LOT of people. And people wonder why...
8070  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pachinko / Plinko / Pinball zero conf animated betting game. 99% return. on: June 17, 2013, 10:34:02 PM
Sure do. What were we meant to update?
Also never seen the site off-line. We do on occasion have issues with the back-end processing payments but this has not happened for a few weeks.

I mean, you don't get involved in discussion Wink.
8071  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nexus 4 Smartphone on: June 17, 2013, 09:26:17 PM
That's 50$ more than I could buy it for at the Google Play store, so I make you a counter offer of 1.5BTC.

Honestly, I'm looking for a deal here preferably someone who got bored with theirs and got a Samsung Galaxy S4 or an HTC One. I just want to use it to develop apps for Ubuntu Touch.

Actually the other way around, $50 discount.

You're right! I apologize, I could have sworn you had offered 400$.

Just to reiterate: I'm not looking for a new device, and I'm not looking to spend over 2BTC.

I am willing to barter, though. Here are some offers to interested traders:
  • OFFER 1: 16 GB Iphone 4 GSM (AT&T) + I give you 0.5BTC + both parties pay shipping
  • OFFER 2: Black Xbox 360 (40GB hard drive)
    • 2 wireless controllers
    • 2 rechargeable battery packs
    • XBOX360 USB wireless adapter
    • 1 AC power charger for charging batter packs
    • 2 AC power Supplies for Xbox360 (handy if you want to move it around your house)
    • You pay shipping for Xbox360(to you) and Nexus(to me)

Ah shame Smiley

8073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Linux Ubuntu the most secure OS to store my BTC on? on: June 17, 2013, 08:25:47 PM
Screw all of this. Just use a offline computer, doesn't matter what OS then. SAFEST option.
8074  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Nexus 4 Smartphone on: June 17, 2013, 07:49:55 PM
$300 for a 16gb new.
8075  Economy / Services / Order Anything from Amazon 5-15% Discount on: June 17, 2013, 07:37:02 PM
I will order from amazon.com and have it shipped directly to you for 5-15% off. The higher it's worth, the more the item is worth the better discount.

Either send me a PM or comment below to quote a price for you're item. Escrow will be offered if the buyer wants too. Otherwise I will not ship first until the Bitcoin has been either put in escrow or sent to my Bitcoin address.
I have dealt here on this forum before and have had successful trades, I have also traded on bitmit where my feedback rating is all positive, except for some neutrals.

ONLY SHIPPING TO US

Note: I will also offer to list this on Bitmit if you have no experience with escrow.

Good idea, very nice for the pubs which are now accepting Bitcoin in the UK.
8077  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phinnaeus Gage scammer tag request on: June 17, 2013, 07:14:25 PM
Nice attempt as deflecting people away from the fact that you blatantly stated you would not honor a commitment you made.  No one cares about your red herrings or how piss poor of a decision maker you are or that you lost $100k out of your own stupidity.

This thread is about how you are trying to weasel out of your commitment to donate $200 once certain conditions were met, which they have been.  If you want to setup a fund, by all means, please do so... I don't care. It's not about the $200, it's about the fact that you're a dishonest person at your core and you provide nothing positive to the bitcoin community.  You are a parasite and an attention whore; the only thing that matters to you is how much attention you get, not what effects your attention seeking have on your victims.

You even prove my point in this post: You wouldn't want to delete a post because it would lower your post count and someone would pass you by!  Yep, that's an important reason to have a high post count.  It's all about attention for you, I understand that.  It doesn't matter who you hurt in the process, so long as you get the attention, right?

well actually what he has done doesn't warrant a scammer tag, since technically he didn't scam you. Did he fail on his promise? Yes. Did he scam you? No

Any promises of a donation made on the internet should be taken as a promise from a drunk friend.

The fact of the matter, people break promises. Imagine going to court because the TV promised me I would get thinner....jesus

I love how quickly a topic mood changes. It was a nice friendly chat with us putting out our OPINIONS, but then it turns into a punch up.

Paypal monitor for this sort of stuff. They will track it down and eventually freeze you're main account. They don't just use IP either. They use cookies & electronic cookies, so they would know almost instantly. They could potentially terminate you're main account because of this. Could you ask a relative or friend that you trust to do this for you? (With verified account + long term user)
Most likely the safest option for you.
