821  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Make sure that you read the new Important Announcements topic by theymos on: November 15, 2022, 11:09:46 PM
~snip~, to me OP is just creating a repetition of what everyone is already aware of but nevertheless i think someone may be find it as a reminder.

Of course, this is a repetition of information and also a reminder. I didn't even notice that theymos embedding some pretty important up-to-date information related to recent events.
I tend to agree with you that isn't wrongdoing to post it here to warn other newbies, I didn't notice it too.  At the top of our profile, there were always announcements made by theymos, before, it was a pumpkin art contest and I didn't even notice it until I saw this thread.

It's a pretty common announcement that always reminds us here and even me, I always repeatedly say that "Not your key, not your coins" which is the same thought on theymos announcement.
822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hodl tight Bitcoin. We're going to the galaxy on: November 14, 2022, 11:59:41 PM
The accident happened again. Crypto.com mistakenly sent 320K Ethereum which is estimated to be +$400 Million. Like receiving a falling durian, the address that received the wrong delivery was Gateio.
Again?
If I wasn't wrong this is their second time sending it mistakenly but good thing on Gate.io exchange not on other unknown wallets.
But fortunately, the fund was sent back to their cold storage which is still good news for them.

The CEO now of Crypto.com has been suspected of wrongdoing which lead to their user withdrawing the fund which didn't a clear explanation to the Crypto.com CEO.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The pump of Trust Wallet Token (TWT) on: November 14, 2022, 11:37:08 PM
I see here the price of TWT will still be rallying, Trust Wallet supports 8 million crypto coins, and also NFTs tokens.  So the TWT is their native token that will surely user use this while using Trust Wallet.  Its hype is this wallet is an open-source wallet that they think is a safe wallet because of what happened to FTX's bankruptcy.

It seems IMO, Binance has a commission to Trust Wallet, what do you think?
Binance hyped too much Trust Wallet as per see.
824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In trading and Investment you need to know one thing on: November 13, 2022, 11:59:04 PM
If anything happens you always look first the things what is for sure then you know everthing else.
Though all you've said was right, the first thing that you must consider first before proceeding with such activity is to choose the right exchange, don't fool those centralized exchangers that have a good offer, if you heard a lot of drama on FTX and Binance this might put to your bucket list upon selecting a good exchange.

What whales want ?
People think whales want money...no whales get money from their Banker buddies.

Whales want assets they want crypto they want real estate and they want FTT coins.
How to get asssets?
Fud fear and more fear and If people don't sell then more fear and fud must come until the strongest people Will give their assets away for cheap to whales.
They don't want your money they have their own
Whales want your assets bull can not start until most of the people are scared to sell.
All I can say with this is to understand what is crypto and learn the movement of the crypto market.
Whales are nothing if we aren't afraid of them, there are too many ways how to manipulate the market and whales have different strategies for that.
Just buy and hold it for a long-term purpose.

826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear And Bull Market? on: November 12, 2022, 11:46:21 PM
We see bull and bear market many times. When the market going on dump, I get profit, because I use stop limit and sometimes I sell because the price of token profit me 10%-20%. So, use stop limit. When the market pump, I buy few coins which are red suggest. After that the coins cross 10% to 20% up, I sold the tokens.
It's quite risky which seems you're investing altcoins that we don't know becomes shitcoin in the end.
Stop-limit could be applicable when you're in trading but it scratches your head for sure if you don't have the technical skills to predict those coins.

Here's what I suggest to you.
Do Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) on investing in top altcoins (not shitcoins) or focus on Bitcoin and when the price keeps declining, just keep buying until such one day there's a bull market come.
827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a Quality Post? on: November 12, 2022, 11:35:35 PM
Post that answers a question:
It starts with this how to determine a quality post.  No matter how it's lengthy it is as long as it answered questions.
But usually here that has a signature campaign that follows the required length of the post.

That's good input and nothing else to add but one thing that I suggest is that surely you'll have a quality post.  Never interact with a topic that you don't know because it creates a nonsense reply or it's off-topic.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bearish fud main account Bitcoin on Twitter on: November 12, 2022, 10:59:21 PM
What is the reason of being bearish as the official Bitcoin account ? Who is trolling and has access to this account ?

https://twitter.com/Bitcoin/status/1591513857721524224
Here's what I've found.
https://news.bitcoin.com/who-controls-the-bitcoin-twitter-account/

It seems it accused that the account belongs to a high-profile Bitcoiner last 2018 and it could belong and be under the control of Bitcoin.com.

I doubted that it belongs to the Bitcoin cash team and stuff, what do you think?
But Roger Ver denied that the account belongs to him, https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/983379544387153920

What is the reason of being bearish as the official Bitcoin account ?
There's no official Twitter Bitcoin account.
829  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin really crashing on: November 08, 2022, 11:57:24 PM
The reason for the sudden dropped could be,
  • FTX and Binance news related
  • LUNA collapsed
  • FOMO
  • Lossing Investors Confidence

All of these are because of the centralized exchanges and the altcoins that hardly have an effect on Bitcoin.
But I think it's a normal crash and soon it will recover again.  I didn't believe it will go down far beyond $15k.
Instead, it's an opportunity to fill your bag, isn't it?
830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is why it's not a good idea to leave your coins on any exchange on: November 08, 2022, 11:47:04 PM
Though we can't deny these centralized exchanges are very convenient for converting our crypto to fiat or making money in trading.
But after that session, we shouldn't leave it there and that isn't a good practice to leave your funds or store them for a long period of time on any centralized exchange.  It's well-known fact as of now that centralized exchanges tend to be extremely unreliable upon storing your fund even though like Binance have marketing promotion about their SAFU.

If you have any fund of FTX it's better to withdraw, I heard the withdrawal was stopped but now it's open, be smart because the market can still go lower due to this commotion.
Fortunately, I didn't use this exchange.
Not only on FTX, but instead, in all centralized exchanges.
831  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: November 08, 2022, 11:13:45 PM
Panic
Putting in Emotional Efforts
Investing short-term
Overtrading
Mental Health
It's pretty common but it's hard to deal with and sometimes we need to diversify our portfolio or invest fractionally while dealing with the bear market trend and do dollar-cost averaging (DCA) to get the most out of our capital while continuing to diversify our holdings.

Holding in a long term is an advantage of your investment or stay invested while the market declining, those common mistakes are right that you should avoid, and never sell your portfolio when the price is under upon your purchase.  Also, it's better not to use cash that you'll need soon, only the amount that you can afford which is considered as your investment in the long term.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: do you consider lie price an entry point on: November 07, 2022, 11:59:54 PM
Finding this doesn't have constantly feasible, it required technical indicators that you can locate your entry or even your exit points.

  • Bollingers band
  • MACD
  • Moving Average
Are one of the best strategies to find them.

Using a technical pattern of price resistance like breakdown or breakout resistance would sometimes help.  Using different technical strategies that fit your risk appetite or even your past experience will also be helpful.

Bitcoin Scams To Avoid When Using P2P

Tips to Protect Yourself From Scammers
I fixed the title for you.
There are too many of them to count not only 6 to avoid scams and not only 11 tips to protect yourself from these possible scams.  If you noticed, scammers always find a new way to scam naive or innocent people because they're very easy to fool.  Scammers nowadays always level up their skills in scamming people.

The simplest way to protect yourself is to use your "COMMON SENSE".  Yet it's very simple but it's a very effective way to protect yourself against fraudsters.
834  Other / Meta / Re: Do we care why people were banned? on: November 07, 2022, 10:47:27 PM
But I would love to see a message like this on the profile of a banned user.
This user was banned for plagiarism,  see reference
I tend to agree with this but I think it's impossible to include the reference.
AFAIK, the reason for the user getting banned is that the thread is usually deleted already, I don't think how to track the reference but I think the reason could be enough to determine the user's offense.

BPIP extension on your chrome will easily spot banned users but you'll not see the reason for it.  When I saw a banned user on the top of their profile, all I think is plagiarism, not ban evasion.

836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie how can i invest in Bitcoin on: November 07, 2022, 10:20:47 PM
As a newbie, it's a bit tricky to join the market sentiment as an investor, you should be doing a lot of research before jumping into the idea of investing in Bitcoin.  If you heard of investing Bitcoin in a DCA way "Dollar Cost Averaging" is the best practice for the newbie and hold it in a long term.

We have a topic for that DCA that you might learn, you can take a look at these,

Good luck with your plan and don't be shy to ask here for further assistance.
Never believe if there's someone sending you a PM of help, they're most likely scams.

838  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The new helpful idea for traders on: November 06, 2022, 11:59:37 PM
I wonder how can you watch the market 24/7 without using your own boot too, humans aren't the same as a bot that gives notifications quickly the same as the bot and they're right, your service offered the same work as the bot.

Also, is there proof that you are perfectly given accurate data for your work?

How many people on board ?
Let's start ?
Monthly fee 7$ for start.
Well, good luck with that, the $7 per month might not be enough even if you have 10 subscribers, is that worth it for 24/7 work?
839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your take on Bitcoin adoption trust issues on: November 06, 2022, 11:52:11 PM
Based on the conversation, I found out that the biggest challenge currently within Bitcoin adoption in those Communities is trust issues, It's extremely difficult and hard for people to agree and come to term with anything that has to do with Bitcoin most especially as a result of those government approved school scheme for sensitization about the danger of digital currencies, Thereby corrupting the minds of those young ones
Different people have a different approaches to Bitcoin on how it'll work, in fact, there are some governments that are already making it legal tender.
Might you'll agree once you understand the usage of this technology behind and how useful it is as a digital currency or most especially if you'll show the Whitepaper on Bitcoin which is the goal of why it was created.

Trust issue has been always there when didn't fully understand it, it makes them confused because a lot of news spread that there are a lot of scams in "cryptocurrency" which is speaking of in general, I mean including altcoins.  But Bitcoin alone, it's trusted by the community.
840  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 04, 2022, 11:59:15 PM
Hi. I'm a newbie and I'm just learning about this topic. There are many questions that I would like to understand, maybe this one has already been discussed, but I didn't find the thread, sorry. How reliable is Bitcoin, what will it be if someone will generate a new blockchain or another digital currency, will it make bitcoin fall down, and how fast?
This forum (Bitcointalk.org) and this site Bitcoin.org will give you a beautiful insight into Bitcoin.
Just explore and understand Bitcoin and for sure you'll amaze by the beauty of the Bitcoin blockchain network.  The Bitcoin protocol can't be changed but it's open-source code that everyone can verify it.
