821  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much do I need to start mining? on: June 30, 2023, 08:50:47 PM
Bitcoin mining isn't cheap nowadays, and the main problem is that the hardware gets obsolete really fast, I mean if you buy the best Bitcoin miner in 1 year it will not have enough power to be efficient enough to give you profit, that's why if you want to start mining you should look at altcoins, that's the right way to do it if you have low capital.

Even you can look for staking coins, PoS is an algorithm that let you mine just by holding coins in your wallet, so, with this kind of coins you don't need to buy hardware to mine.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Crypto another form of gambling? on: June 30, 2023, 08:30:49 PM
Well, investing in cryptos is a high-risk investment, which means you can win big or lose big, and that's why some people see it as gambling, but I would not say it's the same, because if the crypto price has a crash, then you can hold until it recovers and you will not lose the money in the end, but in gambling if you lose a bet then the money will be gone, and I would say that's the main difference. They are alike but not the same.

824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As a merchant, what percentage do you afford to lose on fees? on: June 26, 2023, 04:25:20 PM
As a merchant you don't lose a big money on fees at all because the customer is the one who pays the fees by buying your product or your service, the only moment when you lose on fees is when you change your cryptos to your local currency, and the fact that you don't have to do this each time you get a payment is a nice way to save money, I mean, you can wait until selling 10 products to only spend 1 transaction fee to sell those coins.

And another way to save money in fees is by using altcoins, a good example is LTC where you only have to pay 0.0001LTC/Transaction, that's $0.0088. And you have other options like Dogecoin, Tron and some others with fast blocks and low fees.
825  Economy / Gambling / Re: 😺 RollCat.io 🚀 Provably Fair 🔒 Crazy Multipliers 🎰 Free Hourly Coins 💰 on: June 25, 2023, 07:36:31 PM
The project is looking good, you only need the right bankroll to run it and the gambling license. Is that license in process or you will simply skip it. The problem with running without a license is that you can close the site and walk away with the money at any moment and the users will not know who to blame in that scenario, that's why a gambling license is important to build trust in the gambling industry.

And do you have any plans of adding more games in the future? it would be nice to see games like dice or plinko.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost coins redistribution on: June 24, 2023, 05:07:37 PM
Bitcoin has 14 years, and if 4M coins already are lost that's close to 20% of the network. I can't imagine how many coins will be lost in 100 years... But what I can say, is, if you bring all those coins back to the market the Bitcion price would have a massive dump while the miners get rich. So, I don't think 100 years is a good period of time, I would say 25 or 50 years, would be better to do it.

And thinking about the technical side and the implementation, we have some options, we can do the coins move to a burning address or we can implement an expiration time to the transaction, and when the timer hit zero then block those coins and re-add them to the miners block reward.

828  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: como recuperar mi btc on: June 23, 2023, 11:26:24 AM

829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 TronFun.Com | Roulette & Duels | Provably Fair / Social Games | Fast Dep/With on: June 22, 2023, 07:21:42 PM
There are some problems with your site, you need to have things like Terms of Service and more information about the service. Is important to mention things like the max win and what happens with big withdrawals. What happens if a user comes to your casino and wins $100k valued in Tron, can you pay him?

And the main question is, how do we know that you will not close the casino and walk away with the money? i think that's the main problem with playing on your site.

831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 22, 2023, 04:40:28 PM
It's a complex situation because was the decision of the customer to wager with credit. A responsible gambler would stop after losing the first $1k and not keep going until losing $8k, that wasn't a smart move at all, but here the problem is that we don't know how persistent was the working trying to persuade the client to get more money to bet. For me that description sounds as rage betting trying to recover with a martingale that goes terribly wrong.

834  Economy / Gambling / Re: We NEED Bitcointalk Members Feedback on Casino Challenges! on: June 20, 2023, 08:32:12 PM
Do you enjoy participating in Casino Challenges? What do you like about them, and what could be improved? Are there any specific types of challenges or rewards that you would like to see?

I like casino challenges and any ways to get some extra money on the casinos, personally, I like the challenges where when have to compete against other users, things like Multiplier races on X games, or wager contests.

Personally, I don't think the users must pay to be part of those challenges, I mean, they should be able to participate with their normal wager.

I will keep a eye on this casino to see what challenges they come up with.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 40 Twitch accounts for gambling advertising on: June 20, 2023, 03:00:04 PM
That's a nice list, but there are 2 streamers who have a lot of followers and I don't see them on the list, and those users are Xposed and AdinRoss. And I think they are not in the list because they stream now under kick, but that platform is growing up fast to the point that will be soon the main streamers' platform for gambling.

I don't know if those guys only made deals with stake or if we can pay them to promote other sites, but what I know is how those guys have a big affiliates farm that pays some serious money.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin(decentralization) the end for utopia? on: June 18, 2023, 12:02:23 AM
Is Bitcoin the final form for humanity?
I don't think so, bitcoin is just an step for economic freedom, but is is just a small step in the humanity's evolution.
Decentralization has long been dreamed by all different social models, is there another step to be taken?
I think there is important to find a way to avoid the scenario where someone has control of the 51% of the network, with that it would be perfect.
Can humanity (humans) learn to hang on and manage their finances?
Yes they can, but is a fight against all the marketing bombs we get all time in the streets, tv and the internet.
Or is Bitcoin an experiment to show that we're not capable of managing our own belongings and do require central authority?
No, I don't think bitcoin is an experiment to prove that, it's a tool to manage our own financials, without a third party like a bank or a gov.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How the casino takes money from you with a deposit bonus on: June 17, 2023, 04:11:50 PM
The deposit bonus is a bait, i mean, they are made to be hard for the users, and most of the users will not complete the wager, but some lucky user will complete it, you only need a good run for it.

But the main thing that I dislike about that kind of bonus is the fact that they limit the possible win, so, if you make a $100 depo, and get $200, and you are only allowed to withdraw $300, it would really suck if we are in a good run up to $1500 in balance and we can't take it all.

839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New question for experts on: June 15, 2023, 10:01:33 PM
In your opinion, is it worth attending blockchain events?

Those event's are important if you want to get involved in new technologies involving the blockchain, there you can learn a lot of topics like NFT, Staking, Smart Contracts, Security, and all the relevant topics for the blockchain.

And the most important is how those events are used to introduce new technologies involving blockchaing. So, I don't say we need to be in every blockchain even, but at least we can see the conference topics and if we find something interesting then it is worth being part of it.
840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Received Email from Localbitcoins on: June 15, 2023, 05:07:58 PM
They have closed the service since 16-Feb-2023, why do people still have funds there?

I think a lot of users have lost their bitcoins in that platform, I have a personal friend who lose his phone with the 2FA and never could recover 2 btc from that site. We must have in mind how that site started when bitcoin price was really low, we are talking about $300 each BTC, and people used to move big amounts of bitcoin in those times, so, lost coins should be a big amount.

By the way, I was taking a look to their block, and they say it was a business that generates $26M/year. i don't see a good reason to close it.
