Sorry the dice portion of the site was hacked while I was sleeping and they emptied the faucets hot wallet... Dice will remain offline until I figure out how they exploited it and how to fix it.

This is good news, but I think lately we've been seeing a trend in positive news for distributed and decentralized public ledgers, as well as blockchain technology for fintech. Not so much Bitcoin itself. It seems like Bitcoin has served its perhaps original intent, to provide a social study on what if the financial system could be built in a different way with respect to the emergence of a connected world.
Agreed, there's still a lot of the blockchain=good :: bitcoin=bad mentality in the news. The good news though is that more and more people are learning that bitcoin isn't a joke. I'll have people jokingly ask me "can you even buy anything with bitcoin at a real company"? It so easy now to fire back, yea Overstock, Dish, Microsoft... and they go, "oh really??" That's all I say, I don't push. Just plant the seed.

We're gonna hit, or be very close to 255 during august. Then 400 by the end of the year Not going to happen! We aren't dropping below $270. $400 seems like a low target for the end of the year. I'm thinking closer to 600.

Ok I went offline for a few hours. Some changes needed to be made. I added a solvemedia captcha on all claims and a bot killer.
Anyone now using a bot will have their account banned for abuse. The purpose of this site is so that people that play by the rules can get some free coins and play dice while they wait the 3 minutes until their next claim.
Those that cheat will get the ban hammer.

great . very attractive and simple design .... but dice didn't work for me
What happens when you try dice? I just tested it on my mobile and it worked... layout is a bit wacky on my mobile though. What browser are you using?

Then all the bitcointalk members will be rich like Bill Gates. I am dreaming of that day to come. No, because a large percentage will sell off at $1k, then $5K, then $10K etc. Early adopters will become early sellers, there will only be a select few that will have the gonads and patience to hold even when the price skyrockets.

What will be the value of one Bitcoin when the number of users (people that will want to use Bitcoin) will hit 21 millions?
At this point, if each user wanted to have 1 Bitcoin, will have to pay a certain number of $ or € or Y, whatever. I'm going with $ just because it's the most used around the world.
How many $ do you think that person, the n. 21 millionth, who wants to buy 1 BTC will have to pay to obtain it?
My wild guess is: 160000 $.
If we were to have 21 million bitcoin users, the prices will surely sky rocket, but I think that just means we begin trading more in Satoshis than using bitcoins as a regular trading unit. I really look forward to such a day Wild Guess: 10k$ per btc when the users reach 21 million. Most actual bitcoin users today can say that they own at least one bitcoin. If we have 21 million users that can no longer be said. Several people own more than one bitcoin and there are lost coins. 21 million users should push the price well over $10,000 IMO. The fear of missing out will mutate into crazed hoarding. Many will refuse to sell, pushing prices/value even higher. totally not true. Most bitcoiners own less than a bitcoin even now. Hmm... it would be nice to be able to get some facts on this. I think most bitcoiners would have at least 1 BTC, especially with 1 BTC being less than $300. Set aside some money every month, soon you would have a bitcoin. You think most bitcoiners have less than 1. I guess that will lead a debate to, who counts a bitcoiner? If someone only has a few bits they received on changetip, but they don't advocate or continue to accumulate, are they really a "bitcoiner"?

this is a good reminder for all of us not to trust anything that we read on the forum because the real purpose of the posts are something else
~~hodl~~
Lots of people like to "talk their book" so to speak. If you're long you post epic bullish speculation and about the distant future. If you're short they point out the flaws and typically are more focused on short term bad news. In the end we all know that in the long run, bitcoin wins.

Bitcoin has been really volatile again these past few days. Last time I checked the price it was at $290 and it has been bouncing around $276 - $290 a lot lately. I wonder if it will have a leg up or down soon.
A leg up. That bounce down was the price re-coiling before it jumps back up over $300. It just has to back up a bit so that it can get a running start.

Great charts chessnut. Does this look like a reasonable count for a triangle correction? Also, is there any way the 315 peak could be counted as a i? Thanks! That seems like a very strong support line on the bottom. It's difficult for the bears to push it down past the mid-low 270's. Maybe some bouncing around but overall we are still moving up.

Without ads, without captcha, how long, do you think, it will be operating? Please consider to add some banners and simple captcha.
No ads or captcha during the grand opening phase. These will be added later once there is enough traffic to necessitate ads and captcha.

Yup we might drop some more, but we will not fall below $270 if this bull trend is to continue. Expecting to see numbers over $300 next week.
