821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ether or altcoins? on: March 08, 2019, 11:08:37 PM
I will prefer to be hodling ethereum than any other altcoin. In fact I also like to hodl ethereum instead of hodling bitcoin. I know many people might like hodling the inverse of the ones I chose to hodl.
I prefer both rather than holding one of them, altcoin gives me guarantee to get a huge profit instantly as long as that was getting a lot of support from the market and there was no any problem with it.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on ICO or buy after being exchanged? on: March 08, 2019, 11:07:04 PM
I think that it is definitely worth buying after a coin or token will be sold on the exchange, since investing in an ICO is very risky.

That's you if that becomes your responsibility to choose the best ico, you need to join in competition with others to find that, buy after ico already listed on exchange site is not always working right now especially when you were getting trapped by shitcoin.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥🔥[ANN]Catex.io-Transaction Mining Exchange-105%Trans-Mining Fees Returned🔥🔥 on: March 06, 2019, 08:41:33 AM
where you find information about Catex ICO ? I don't think Catex did ICO, because I didn't find information about it.
the low price of  CATT tokens at this time is good to buy, because we can buy it cheaply and get dividends, this is only a matter of time, after many people know about this project I think there will be many people who join and the price of CATT tokens increases
No one can answer it exactly.
But, the last active days of Catex dev or manager of CATEX in the forum is two days ago.

I thought for now we don't have evidence that their ICO ended and the project failed or abandoned, or something like that.
Stay positive thinking, guys.
It looks like there was no ico and that's only a rumour. Basically if you wanna try to search that and just use google and type catex ico and if there was a catex ico in the past and it must have appeared easily.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ ✅ [ANN][ICO] 🚀 AZBIT - Blockchain Investment Banking on: March 06, 2019, 08:38:28 AM
I don't understand what happened in last 24 hours because majority of the latest AZ transactions are in the failed status on blockchain. You can see here about what I spoke: https://etherscan.io/txs?a=0x77fe30b2cf39245267c0a5084b66a560f1cf9e1f&p=2
Hi, those transactions are incoming. So I guess some people try to transfer tokens to our smart contract, but it's impossible until the end of ICO
Is that mean if there is a locked period before the token can be sent and traded? That will be a very important thing to create a pinned massage about that. some people may try to send it because they don't know if there was a locked period.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢[ANN] [ICO] - MenaPay - Crypto made easier than cash - PRIVATE SALE (LIVE) on: March 06, 2019, 08:36:22 AM
Since menapay is focused on the Mena region, will it be Islamic compliant?
Yes, it is.
Menapay follows the 3 major rules that makes a business Islamic compliant
According to the Islamic finance, people are allowed to generate profit from their investments. MenaPay platform revenue share system fully complies with Islamic Finance
I do not understand it. You will not pay profits to token holders? Then what is the main advantage of this coin why people should buy it?
Another reason is that menapay will be listing on one of the top exchanges
The main advantage shouldn´t be listed on top exchange. The token should have a real internal value, you have to attract investors and tell them why they should invest.
Tokens without real "internal" value are dying so fast!
How can you prevent the dump if that has no daily trade volume? does sound look so good for you? each new altcoin needs a big exchange site search the demand and volume and also big exchange means it will be more crowded compared to the small exchange site.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Proof of Pumps on: March 03, 2019, 03:47:07 PM
There are certain events like halvings (BTC,LTC) and rebandings (NEO) that have historically led to real pumps, not just buy the rumor sell the news ones but actual triggers of massive gains.

Does anyone have any charts to share for various proof of pumps?
That makes sense to consider having as a way to create a pump or build the fundamental to support the crypto but does it make sense to consider rebranding as the main reason that can create a massive pump? People are expecting NEO becomes the next big thing like ethereum and that's why they are blindly buying it.
827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum Classic Fusion | Fork 1:1 of Ethereum Classic on: March 03, 2019, 03:42:26 PM
enough to advertise this scam  Angry Angry Angry you are trying to get user keys using a copy of the interface of the original myetherwallet. hope the forum administration will block you for this.

Agreed, crap like this hurts the community.
And we should always remember about anything that created by 3rd party can't be trusted especially for airdrop and fork coins. So many times scammers always try to create more and more crap coins to fool us but he's forgetting about people are so smart right now.
828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do "premium" or "pro" antivirus help on transactions on smartphones? on: March 02, 2019, 10:45:57 PM

No. Coinomi was just caught last week with a newbish mistake. Just google for: coinomi security flaw
A good smartphone wallet is Mycelium.
And yes, especially if you are not great at tech, a hardware wallet can be a savior.

I read about it.

But as I read, it was a desktop only flaw. They sent data to Google or something like that.

Yes mycelium is much better you are right
Oops, again caught? Coinimi was still my favorite wallet. Samsung Galaxy S10 is told to get a Bitcoin wallet. Am not sure, which solution they offer, a kind of implementet hardware wallet or just a default app. Back to the topic: No, doesn't help, but wouldn't be a mistake to have a security app. My favorite is Sophos Mobile Security cause its free, quick and complete.
Yeah the new samsung flagship s10 will definitely have a wallet created specifically by the company but guys I dont think that I will trust that thing as much as I trust my hardware wallet simply because it is new and tend to be detrimental.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: March 01, 2019, 10:48:42 PM
Hey be careful with fake IDs. This can be considered a criminal act in some jurisdictions. Probably all or them
.
Definitely. But 3rd world countries tend to have kinda weak regulation and that is why most of the scammers that fake their ID coming from 3rd world countries
Professional services to verify ID is definitely still needed. Theres no other way to prevent it.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized vs centralized cryptocurrency exchanges, which one is better? on: March 01, 2019, 10:45:44 PM
Ideally, decentralized exchanges are nice especially as it relates to privacy and censorship. But there are currently not very effective and do raise some legitimacu concerns as regard trading stolen tokens .Centralized exchanges do present a single point of failute as they can be hacked or shut down by the government. btce-e.com is an example.some of my funds are still trapped there
The disadvantages of decentralized exchange does pays off with the privacy and money safety we get.
It is always better to get rather slow and clunky exchanges but our money is safe than rocket fast exchange but has the risk of losing money
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did Ripple pay Coinbase to get XRP listed? on: February 27, 2019, 10:51:32 PM
Rumors are always fun to watch. There is always going to persist some clouds over this subject, but I don't think it has any effect on price.
It certainly has some serious effect toward the price mainly because it is going to be listed into another popular exchanges.
Even some altcoin would happily pay huge amount or giving away few percent ownership of the overall token to the exchanges just for token listing.
However in this case I can't clearly see Ripple did pay the coinbase to get listed however it is really common in crypto world that listing needs money ofcourse there is exception for some exchanges.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO WE NEED TO REGULATE ICOs? on: February 27, 2019, 10:40:16 PM
It seems to me that regulation and crypto industry is impossible. I am fully confident that the government will not be able to affect the quality of some projects.
They will surely try but it is going to be a real challenge for them to try to regulate something that was specifically designed so they could not regulate it and when you add that many of the people that are in cryptocurrencies are doing it so they can be free of government control then you have a series of problems that will be very difficult to overcome for any government around the world.
The regulation need to be made by the project's own countries government. See how almost all of the ICO comply with the AML and that's how you force a regulation to many projects.
The project devs will also always taking things into consideration when it comes to regulation since their project could easily gone into dust when they caught.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How often do you check CoinMarketCap website? on: February 24, 2019, 09:57:53 PM
way back on the bullish market i always look on the market every time i has an access on the internet but when the bearish market happen then i only visit the site for at least 3-5 times a month because i do not want to see my portfolio keeps falling down.
True, seeing the bearish market is such a pain in the ass and will only add burden because it is just making us stressed out i would definitely prefer not to look at my portfolio because of that reason as well.
I judt hope that within few months the market will turn bullish and my portfolio increases in value no the other way around.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can an exchange that requires KYC call itself as DEX? on: February 24, 2019, 03:49:22 PM
lol, sure no. if DEX asks a documents, from that moment it becomes CEX Grin
literaly, how can they check your documents without centralizing?
for me it is even strange when exhcanges ask KYC for small amounts or cryprto-crypto trading.
The data must be stored somewhere else in the cloud, that itself obviously cancels out the very purpose of being a dex which purpose is to make sure that there is no one storing the client data.
Maybe the government law forces them to do so but nonetheless might aswell off being a centralized exchange instead.
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I stop using some exchanges on: February 22, 2019, 03:35:42 PM
Centralized exchanges are subject to a tremendous number of problems simply because they contravene one of the cardinal laws of cryptocurrency - the owner of the private key is also the owner of the asset.
The biggest exchanges like Binance, OKEx and Huobi take control of user funds and use them for market manipulation.
That is the point, however centralized exchanges also bring advantages but well. There's no prove that Binance or any of these big exchanges you mentioned doing market manipulation however that is really possible considering that they are in control of really big funds, making profit out of market manipulation could also be a one way to gain additional huge profit but wrong or inappropiate.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet hacking is it possible? on: February 22, 2019, 03:33:22 PM
In my opinion, it is very difficult to hack wallet, if you take some precautions then you can make it even more difficult. In my life, i have never experienced hacking.
Hacking wallet is generally difficult but stealing data from the client is far more easier, so many people can be lured easily and it's sad to know the fact that the client will more likely be blaming the wallet just like what happened to MEW long time ago where most of the people that get hacked are phished with the word of free ETH.
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: my metamask wallet has been hacked on: February 21, 2019, 10:47:48 PM
Basicaly metamask and MEW or some extension like that is a client-side interface helping you interact with the Ethereum blockchain.
What happened to you because you have low attention for securing ur wallet.install unkwon app or etc, well just forgot about that wallet and create a new. About u think like stuck,of course its not stuck, the thief just want hold it there as long he want.
Thats true. MEW and metamask is not a centralized wallet where they will store all of users data inside their server but instead they are just a tool to interact with blockchain. This also means all the security and funds safety is on the hand of the users and they dont have any responsibility.if there is a hacking.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I stop using some exchanges on: February 20, 2019, 10:24:43 PM
I am waiting for a good decentralized exchange. For example, the creators of the exchange Binance will soon release such a stock exchange. But now I just keep on the exchanges that part of the funds that I trade. I prefer to trade on the exchange of Binance because there are very good volumes.
I agree this exchange is showing itself well and is developing very much , I think on this exchange you can safely keep your money as the security of this exchange is very good
decentralized exchange is not that perfect. the exchange itself will still store the private key of your address meaning it still have an access to your funds however you will still have the absolute control to your address when something happen you could move the funds immediately, overall still better than centralized ones in term of security.
839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange ask for KYC? on: February 18, 2019, 11:11:10 PM
There are several exchanges like that, that you can use without kyc , example of such is coinbene, but without kyc your withdrawal is limited to certain amount. Kyc increase your withdraw rate.
I'm okay using an exchange that does have limited withdrawal.

It's good that they have that kind of option rather than pass on your info to them.
for people with huge amount of money a limited withdrawal will become a problem since you need to wait for it not hours but a day and imagine trying to send money but you re limited and there are still so many works left. KYC is also a way to prove that you are not laundering money.
840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects are abusing blockchain technology. on: February 18, 2019, 10:47:59 PM
I have been just in the crypto world for 5 months. I have tried to learn about blockchain, bitcoin, altcoins,... and I realize that blockchain is being abused.

Many projects are launched with the ideas of using blockchain. But actually, blockchain is not necessary to implement their projects. It just seems to follow the trend of tokenization. And their tokens are utility tokens, real "utility", which are utilized to raise their funds. There is no reality application of blockchain. I think everything will be good if it is enough. Will blockchain become worst if they continuely abuse it?

What do you think about this problem?

Yes, I agree with you that blockchain is being abused. I think when this market will control the regulators, such projects will be much less or perhaps they will disappear altogether.
there is no such thing as market controlling regulator it's the opposite.  regulator could control the market and at the same time also abusing.
it is like a double edged sword, if the regulator seem to hate blockchain they might aswell naking everything difficult.
