Bitcoin Scams To Avoid When Using P2P

Tips to Protect Yourself From Scammers
I fixed the title for you.
There are too many of them to count not only 6 to avoid scams and not only 11 tips to protect yourself from these possible scams.  If you noticed, scammers always find a new way to scam naive or innocent people because they're very easy to fool.  Scammers nowadays always level up their skills in scamming people.

The simplest way to protect yourself is to use your "COMMON SENSE".  Yet it's very simple but it's a very effective way to protect yourself against fraudsters.
842  Other / Meta / Re: Do we care why people were banned? on: November 07, 2022, 10:47:27 PM
But I would love to see a message like this on the profile of a banned user.
This user was banned for plagiarism,  see reference
I tend to agree with this but I think it's impossible to include the reference.
AFAIK, the reason for the user getting banned is that the thread is usually deleted already, I don't think how to track the reference but I think the reason could be enough to determine the user's offense.

BPIP extension on your chrome will easily spot banned users but you'll not see the reason for it.  When I saw a banned user on the top of their profile, all I think is plagiarism, not ban evasion.

844  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie how can i invest in Bitcoin on: November 07, 2022, 10:20:47 PM
As a newbie, it's a bit tricky to join the market sentiment as an investor, you should be doing a lot of research before jumping into the idea of investing in Bitcoin.  If you heard of investing Bitcoin in a DCA way "Dollar Cost Averaging" is the best practice for the newbie and hold it in a long term.

We have a topic for that DCA that you might learn, you can take a look at these,

Good luck with your plan and don't be shy to ask here for further assistance.
Never believe if there's someone sending you a PM of help, they're most likely scams.

846  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The new helpful idea for traders on: November 06, 2022, 11:59:37 PM
I wonder how can you watch the market 24/7 without using your own boot too, humans aren't the same as a bot that gives notifications quickly the same as the bot and they're right, your service offered the same work as the bot.

Also, is there proof that you are perfectly given accurate data for your work?

How many people on board ?
Let's start ?
Monthly fee 7$ for start.
Well, good luck with that, the $7 per month might not be enough even if you have 10 subscribers, is that worth it for 24/7 work?
847  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your take on Bitcoin adoption trust issues on: November 06, 2022, 11:52:11 PM
Based on the conversation, I found out that the biggest challenge currently within Bitcoin adoption in those Communities is trust issues, It's extremely difficult and hard for people to agree and come to term with anything that has to do with Bitcoin most especially as a result of those government approved school scheme for sensitization about the danger of digital currencies, Thereby corrupting the minds of those young ones
Different people have a different approaches to Bitcoin on how it'll work, in fact, there are some governments that are already making it legal tender.
Might you'll agree once you understand the usage of this technology behind and how useful it is as a digital currency or most especially if you'll show the Whitepaper on Bitcoin which is the goal of why it was created.

Trust issue has been always there when didn't fully understand it, it makes them confused because a lot of news spread that there are a lot of scams in "cryptocurrency" which is speaking of in general, I mean including altcoins.  But Bitcoin alone, it's trusted by the community.
848  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 04, 2022, 11:59:15 PM
Hi. I'm a newbie and I'm just learning about this topic. There are many questions that I would like to understand, maybe this one has already been discussed, but I didn't find the thread, sorry. How reliable is Bitcoin, what will it be if someone will generate a new blockchain or another digital currency, will it make bitcoin fall down, and how fast?
This forum (Bitcointalk.org) and this site Bitcoin.org will give you a beautiful insight into Bitcoin.
Just explore and understand Bitcoin and for sure you'll amaze by the beauty of the Bitcoin blockchain network.  The Bitcoin protocol can't be changed but it's open-source code that everyone can verify it.

849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Solana is looking weak on: November 04, 2022, 11:45:47 PM
Behind the useful blockchain of Solana still, this altcoin was under hype and that's why there's a huge crush and it might it can't recover.
It's proven until this day that a blockchain that operates using proof-of-work (PoW) or proof-of-stake (PoS) algorithms is still the best than using a proof-of-history (PoH) algorithm, which is on the Solana.  It seems we consider the Solana project as one of Ethereum's killers which is I think they can't compete with the algorithm of Ethereum.  Still, the Ethereum network is the best for a decentralized network, not Solana.

Going weak?  Possible!
It's all about hype not the real utility of the project.

850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important message to every crypto investors on: November 04, 2022, 11:26:06 PM
Investing in the crypto world is not easy, there will be many risks that will occur if you don't understand it.
If you choose altcoins over Bitcoin.
There's always a high risk when choosing which is the right investment in altcoins, the hype could be the number one goal of those altcoins owners to lure investors, and if you'll fall into their trap, you'll be their next victim.  It's easy to spot influencers on social media, you can unfollow them or put them into your black list users.

Investing in Bitcoin alone which is proven in the market has been potential to make a profit but there's no specific time when you'll get it.
It's trusted by most investors and some countries already making it a legal tender so I think, there's no single altcoin that can surpass Bitcoin's potential(aside from Ethereum).
851  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 01, 2022, 11:59:36 PM
I'm still hoping Bitcoin price had a good start this month and it could be next month will pump up and hit the resistance level of $23k.

The poll shows that it might be a correction and anytime it will pump up either in the next month.

We've heard a lot of good predictions from known people, I didn't if they are attention seekers but at least they have a good perception of Bitcoin price and this month could be determined if there's a bull market this year.
852  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Should there be a 🍀 BTC AIRDROP 🍀 to Bitcointalk Merit Sources on: November 01, 2022, 11:56:22 PM
Not only merit sources are thankless members, but there are also a lot of them who spend time and effort just for the bitterness of the forum.
Reporters, scams, and spam busters deserve it too but they worked voluntarily to maintain the forum clean and safe because isn't moderated forum, and good thing we have them.

If there's a prize I think you must include them all but IMO, if you contributed a lot here you will earn benefits via an established member on the forum which is joining a high-paid signature campaign that isn't tough for you.

So my answer is NO and if there is, I tend to agree with them, it will create drama for sure.
853  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX.IO refuses all my Bitcoin withdrawals on: November 01, 2022, 11:19:50 PM
So your money was stuck now on your Freebitco.in wallet, I'm right?
I'm confused why you still need CEX.io if you successfully withdraw your fund into Freebitco.in, your problem now is how to get your fund on Freebitco.in which you need to follow the advice above.  You need to contact their representative on this forum and hope you didn't violate their terms.  That's pretty common now in most centralized platforms, they enhance KYC verification before you'll successfully transact with them.

Have you read the terms on Freebitco.in?
It could be you violated it or there's a verifications requirements before you can withdraw, contact their support team.
854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 01, 2022, 10:57:45 PM
Im looking For those people do make decent income with those signals.
I am not trying to be negative, but I am quite certain you won't find any here, given that people know that most of these channels are scam.
I tend to agree with you and it might OP will change his mind and not proceed to seek a group of a signal channel.
Either paid or free signal group that you join, all of them have the same result, you'll become a victim from time to time and nothing will happen to you.  The ones who have benefits most are those people who organized the group which is they know how to play with it.

Stay away from these groups, instead, find your own strategy and sharpen your mind when it comes to trading skills and strategies.

I dont need your advice how dangerous those channels or groups are i know myself just Im looking For good pmpp channels. Yes they maybe buy b4 then give out signal i don't Care about that i'll make quick in quick out its still worth more then waiting like fool when btc start doing something Im here to make a lot money as possible with crypto dont really want to waste my days waiting for btc start doing something.
Greediness will sometimes lead us to become worst and at least you know the downside of it.
855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to start coding/programming from 0 on: November 01, 2022, 10:32:06 PM
It's a long journey before to take, mastering and learning crypto coding from zero or from scratch to knowledgeable one will take how many sleepless nights.  Just get a grasp on everything as you go and start with research on your own.

First,
  • Watch video tutorials from known sources
  • Take an online course
  • Attend a seminar that might have in your local and learn the basic programming languages required for becoming a blockchain developer.
  • Find a community for blockchain programmers

..and you must learn this.
  • Python
  • C++
  • JavaScript
856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or bear November? on: October 31, 2022, 11:59:12 PM
It's expected that there's a bull market when the 4th quarter of the year will come and I think this month might Bitcoin price spike in the market but as of now, there's no specific sign of it and I think to take a break if you do a DCA way of investing Bitcoin.

Seeing the market condition, the Bitcoin price breaking above the $23k to $24k mark in November could aid the uptrend to the $30k resistance level at the end of the year, what do you think?
857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Maybe I saw something else on: October 31, 2022, 11:47:57 PM
Why not just make your own paper wallet buy bitcoin and generate your own wallet and deposit it there and then print them?
If OP is technically new to making a paper wallet, I won't suggest making it on his own because that's very tricky and it could be losing your coins if you didn't know the right process of making a paper wallet.  Assuming OP isn't tech savvy.

Just buy a hardware wallet and find an ATM machine near in your place where to purchase Bitcoin.
It could also be a good alternative as a gift card if this was your intention of buying a paper wallet that has Bitcoin inside because the downside of buying a ready-made paper wallet could be possible that can be hacked when your wallet is tampered with by them, not unless they were trusted store.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is losing bitcoin in account have a significant impact to the bitcoin economy? on: October 31, 2022, 11:29:40 PM
If someone lose their bitcoins (whether it is small or big amount), does it have a significant impact to the bitcoin economy?
Possible on the Bitcoin price due to the demand and supply which have an impact on the price, lost Bitcoin could be considered lowering the hard cap and AFAIK, from 21 million to 17-18 million.  I've read before in an article on Chainalysis (a company that studies blockchain) it's around 17-23% of Bitcoin has been already lost and it will keep increasing the amount in the future.

So it really has an impact on the price, they seem like a long-time holder of Bitcoin but unrecoverable.
So it's impossible Bitcoin price to become zero value even though there are many people who dumped it.
859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC PUMPED EXACTLY AS PREDICTED! on: October 31, 2022, 11:06:45 PM
The price of Bitcoin is uncertain and it can again dump to the 29000$ range. But I hope it will move on and up a little bit more. Because in analysis we can see price can go up to the 24000$.
There are still many people who believed that Bitcoin price will pump up in the 4th quarter of the year and it seems there's a sign of it.
Behind on it, we've seen a lot of predictions on social media platforms and even those known people who predicted on their own about Bitcoin.  So I think if you're a bullish mind then possible it's a coincidence that you predicted the market closely accurately but it doesn't you always predicted the market.

IMO, let it be.
Just hold your Bitcoin for a long-term purpose or much better you'll wait for the next halving event because it's usually followed by a new ATH which is the very interesting price of Bitcoin.  We've seen that the market price was been struggling to move up and it might of the world market inflation.
860  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance asking for KYC, again on: October 30, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
...keeping my money in decentralized wallets such as Metamask doesn't sound too safe to me. There are a lot of scams and exploits going on, and you can never be too sure. For this reason, centralized exchanges appear way safer, and I believe that if anything ever happened to Binance, for instance, it would compensate its users.
I'm strongly against this.

There's no other safe to store your fund aside from a decentralized platform or an open-sourced wallet, which is Metamask was belong to an open-source wallet.  Used these centralized platforms should be used for instant trading or converting to fiat but not means for storing your fund for a long period of time, on other hand in a better way, use the decentralized platform if you don't want this heavy KYC procedure.

I experienced the same on Binance lately upon using a local centralized wallet, they asked for further KYC procedure, and they want me to submit a video clip while holding my ID and stating their company name and that date, I think it's the same because I never used Binance.
