841  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How could this journey be on: November 28, 2023, 11:47:01 PM
Welcome and your jouney will be great by making this thread as your temporary last one. Why? The resources and links have been placed on this thread and all you need to do is go through with most of them and when you think you're done, try to look for the specific topics that you'll get.
And how to do that? you see the long search box at the top right, that's how you'd do it. Type in the keywords of specific topics you want to search and they'll come out in results.
842  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: November 28, 2023, 10:06:31 PM
Please also report the channel although it has lesser subs still, let's do it.
Code:
@unijoin_AAA

Is this channel (with triple A in the end) the same with the one containing only double A in the end and mentioned by paid2 here? -- and in this case it means that either you or paid2 made a small typo? Or are there 2 channels, one with triple A and one with double A and both pretending they are UniJoin?
It's different because the one that has been reported and taken down while this triple A is still there. The double A is no longer existing.
While this triple A is still existing but it only has a few subscribers. And yes, they're also pretending to be unijoin. I thought at first that they're not pretending but going through the contents on that channel, they've got videos of the fake unijoin that has a channel and was also taken down already.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that visionary leaders make great CEOs? on: November 28, 2023, 08:47:23 PM
It varies on the attitude of the CEO and the employees. There are employees that would like to get pressured just as what the CEO want it to be. But there are chill CEOs that are also making productive employees that want to go to office everyday because they're pushed appropriately and they're praised according to the tasks that they finish. A visionary leader and a CEO, we can distinguish these two. There are CEOs that are just standing there pretending to know a lot of things while a visionary leader sees the potential of everyone and directs everyone that shall give out the potential of one employee.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Authorities Are Not Smart Enough to Do This on: November 28, 2023, 02:05:23 PM
That's their only way to stop people from using Bitcoin and that's through banning Bitcoin itself on their countries and giving sanctions to the citizens that will be found to be dealing with it. But that's the reality that they can't stop Bitcoin no matter how hard they try it, they can see the broken system on their financial system especially on your country where there's a massive and quick adoption rate that increases over time. Eventually, like what we're seeing for some countries that they have been vocal about Bitcoin and starts to give some hint that they're about to adopt it, maybe that will also happen there in no time.
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just a dream but possible on: November 28, 2023, 12:21:36 PM
Trust no one when it is about your wealth. When you're thinking of leaving your will, of course the attorney's job is just going to be left with that message and will distribute it to the eligible ones whom are written on the will. But what's good these days is you can just simply leave the keys of your wallets to your kids or wife if you want it to be like that. No need to have a lot of process for you to transfer your wealth to them. Although there are pros and cons to this, choose what you want to go for the transfer. And since you're in a bitcoin forum, the heirs should also know how to make their own wallets and understand the importance of keeping the private keys only to themselves.
846  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CZ officially bids goodbye to Binance. Will Binance Crash or still stand Strong? on: November 28, 2023, 09:20:46 AM
We are still seeing them doing well and operational. This only means that this incident of bailing out and paying the fine is a can afford matter to them. I think that there's a share from all of the shareholders that have paid the fine, I dunno.

Companies change CEOs often. The real question for a company is when does the new CEO completely changes the behaviour of the company. In my opinion CZ's approach will always guide Binance into being an ordinary CEX like the rest of them.
IMO, this change of Binance's CEO won't happen if there were no cases or cracking down by the US government. But as they move on, that's prolly one condition that they need to meet and show. CZ's involvement is likely still there and he's still got the influence to the company that he's built for sure.
847  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam or not ? Transer funds Require Top up on: November 27, 2023, 11:58:40 PM
is there a place where i can report this website ?
You can also report them to: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en
Since the website is also existing when you search it directly on Google. That's going to take them down and will remove them for any direct keywords researched for that website. And next time, when a website or service asks you to deposit again for you to withdraw and the amount is enormous, that's a sign that they're a scam. There are services that really require some threshold amount for you to withdraw but usually, it's on the casinos and exchanges but they're not a lot and the amount's like just $5-$10 or $20.
848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you follow these tips then (Hacker challenge) your bitcoin impossible to hack on: November 27, 2023, 10:42:24 PM
This seems to give you that overconfidence that you'll never get hack. I think someone who still gonna follow all of these tips are unlikely to get hacked.
However, it varies on how the person browses and if he's overconfident by just knowing all of these. Do not forget that there were people who were overconfident and thought that they'll never get scammed/hacked.
But in the end, due to their carelessness, they've been a victim. Always verify the links and apps that you download, the characters and the authenticity of those.
849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 27, 2023, 06:36:05 PM
IMHO, there's no need to get confused by having your long term holding plan focused as what it is and also by simply supporting a business that accepts Bitcoin. Think of what is important to you now? Holding can be done with other activities that's going to make you productive. What are you thinking then? having to slash some BTC holdings for you to support that business? If you don't have any other money from other sources that you have and you're thinking of helping that business through taking a part of your holdings to support it, don't take all of it. There's more to business and you shouldn't put full force of your assets or resource on it as you start. There's a period that you need to study on it during the operation before you fully expand or see if it's worth it to continue it.
850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Superstorm | Impact on the internet and Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2023, 04:57:39 PM
But does every country in the world have the technology to reboot the system in a few days?
Of course not all but the first world countries have for sure the technology to not prolong the disruption if ever this phenomena happens.

Bitcoin blockchain is operated throughout the world. There will be many places that won't have access to the internet or electricity for many days.
The good thing is that miners are scattered all over the world, we will never know on which part is everyone located but on those countries that will be resilient on this event probably have some miners to work on it.

How will it affect the others who will get access to the internet and also to Bitcoin first?
IMO, not that much. There's no problem if someone gets to access first or last after this solar superstorm or any disruption that happens.

Also, not being able to use Bitcoin because of this could lead people to think that it is not the best thing to use. Will this fade away like what happens to most of the FUDs or it will continue to impact Bitcoin in the future as well?
It's proven that Bitcoin has always recovered no matter what the situation is.

Also, those who will not have access to it while others will have, won't they lose hope in Bitcoin? Because the price could fall drastically if people who get access to it first start to sell?
If those people panic and they put it on sell because they think the price have fallen, the others won't have access by that time so there's no volume yet. Although this can be a real thing, I don't think that everyone is going to lose hope in Bitcoin. We've seen the best and bad times with it.
851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solar Superstorm | Impact on the internet and Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2023, 01:47:04 PM
I have read some short articles about it telling that it's a hoax. Looking at some alternative then by that time everything is going to go down even the banking system won't escape this phenomena. And if we're going to take that part of how it's going to affect Bitcoin and its network, the same goes to the financial system and we might just go back to usual thing through cash. If everyone is going to be affected by internet interruption by a sudden phenomena, we won't be the most affected on this one but those billions or trillions companies that solely rely their services and system through internet.
852  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Nominee related services in bitcoin on: November 26, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
It might be a good thread if someone who's also a member of the forum who has used this service and then actually went through the process of retrieving the funds of the loved one that passed away.

Other than, being way too excited about this,
You could as well sort out for a best means to confer your private key or seed phrase to a next of kin and possibly some directives to retrieving what is left behind in whatever wallet.
Including all of those account login details and passwords. This is what's on my plan if ever the time comes unexpectedly for me and my life will be taken away at an unknown time. Since it is a common thing that even if we are telling that don't leave funds a lot on exchanges, there are people that never follow that and still leaving there so, login credentials of exchanges and any other important wallets on how we keep the private keys or seed phrases written. Be also that type of person that records everything so it's going to be one last of will which I have prepared as well but my relatives and immediate family doesn't know yet.
853  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A lesson from other people's mistake can go a long way on: November 26, 2023, 10:56:55 PM
Don't panic when the bull run comes. Sell when you are at profit and you really think that you've got more than enough for your profit. There are people that sells at a wrong timing even if they're already in profit, they feel that it's a mistake to sell. So focusing about selling, make sure that you are satisfied when you have sold already because that's going to be a mistake that you cannot re-do and even if you can re-do that, you can easily forget that moment as you can't feel that you're not satisfied. No regrets upon selling.
854  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects those who DCA on: November 26, 2023, 06:35:15 PM
Any will do. They seem to be good plans at all and if the time comes that the price of Bitcoin goes into correction and yet the fees are still not yet fine. I think that you have to do it and take those fees by that time or calculate if it's worth it to pay those fees for you to buy the cheap price by that time. But it's not a problem if you're going to wait until the fees goes down. We've got ways of how to deal with these high fees and gives us more idea on how we'll able to continue DCAing. IMHO, many does this that they keep and save first their money and wait for the right timing of cheaper fees and price of Bitcoin if it's possible then that's when they do the transfers whichever is favorable but much better if both does at the same time.
855  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Retro RPG game that teaches about Bitcoin on: November 26, 2023, 04:41:14 PM
I like it. If the sole purpose is to educate the players and it's only that, you did good on this one. Although as said by the other members, there can be a lot of improvements but as a start, you did great. I like RPG games but I think you can summarize most of the talks to lessen the boredom of the players since it's an RPG game, most talks or quests aren't that long because it's really going to make the player tired reading all of those lines and just want to play the game. Can't wait to see how the progress will be.
856  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC Sues Kraken crypto exchange on: November 25, 2023, 11:13:44 PM
IMO, we're going to see this often before the approval any Bitcoin ETF application. They're just going to aim any exchange that they can but of course with proper details and proof of what's the reason for suing them.

The SEC is a government agency and not a profit-making institution, so I do not think they are looking for profits, but these fines and restrictions aim to make the platforms leave the American market or commit to fully cooperating with the SEC and providing all data, including customer data and taxes, and closing any account they want to close, otherwise there will be a fine and accusation of supporting money laundering.
I agree, despite that we don't like the steps of what they've been doing for all of these news and suing. They're working for the government and they're trying to protect what's assigned for them to do. But we don't also know that these exchanges have been doing something that's against the regulations of the government because they're on a good situation. Well, we might see another huge settlement fine within the next months or before the halving.
857  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin's Impact on South Asian Economies. on: November 25, 2023, 09:34:05 PM
What makes people to thrive on those countries that are involved and invested on Bitcoin are the policies from their governments. In Bangladesh, AFAIK, Bitcoin is banned and that's why even if there are citizens there that can be said that are starting to make their living rise through the profits they can make from it. The government is the first one that serves as the obstacle for its people. If these countries, not just on this regions but for every country globally won't be strict and will just be neutral and allow its people to own Bitcoin. They are going to benefit from it through capital gains and taxations.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Helping family businesses and fulfilling dreams with Bitcoin. on: November 25, 2023, 01:09:48 PM
It is true that many lives have been changed thanks to Bitcoin. Your stories are great and inspiring and despite that you have sold all of your Bitcoins, you can still comeback and buy again as you start to accumulate again. This is the essence of having an investment, whenever you need to dispose it for some important matters, you can liquidate it and see the fruits of your labor. Someone's achievement and being shared here is encouraging us to do better in life and of course give back to our parents if ever we can. I think many of us here have experienced hardship before knowing Bitcoin so, everyone can relate to your success story. Congratulations!

Great news! One more imposter is gone!
Yep.  Wink

Maybe it would help even more if some reports would also be sent by email, at abuse@telegram.org, not just to https://t.me/notoscam.
Yeah, I guess so. I'd do that as well for the rest that are still clickable and are on existence. This might alert them for double reports, I've just checked the one that I've reported on the notoscam account and I'm not so sure if they've handled it already or did nothing at all so yeah, email.

I am not sure I understand here... You mean that those groups have in common with UniJoin the "UniJoin_+" part but they are not trying to impersonate UniJoin?
Damn, I was wrong. I've checked the video that's posted on that channel and it had directed to the ".plus" that has already been taken down. From now one, everything that copies the name of unijoin are gonna be suspicious on me, I've let my guard down on that one.
Please also report the channel although it has lesser subs still, let's do it.

860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some people say they will never sell BTC. Is there any reason for that? on: November 25, 2023, 08:18:53 AM
So, time to time, I see some people saying they will never sell BTC. And I am thinking why is that? (I mean I understand that you can't say never, there will be a time you will have to use your BTC).
Do not take it literally when someone says that they will never sell. It's just a commitment that they're not going to sell anytime for now but for sure in the nearest future or when it is profitable based on their decision, they're going to sell.

Anyway, is there any calculations, reasoning behind this? Or it is just pure maximalism?

If there are reasons I would like to discuss them.
There's no calculation on it and yes, it's possible that it's just pure maximalism by that person you hear that say. I can even say that I'll never sell but it's just all words and I'll still sell when I'm need. So, that's why when you see someone say that again, don't be quick to judge that he'd literally do it. It's all about the waiting game and that never means it's going to be a long time.
