861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Okay. What is the main factor that boosts Altcoin value? Popularity or Tech? on: February 12, 2020, 11:00:39 AM
Blockchain is a technology right? So it makes sense to say that any project coming into this space must be technologically driven, not just that, but showing proof of it. We have seen many altcoins today which intially boosted of offering higher TPS or will beat Bitcoin and yet no where to be found; therefore the reason why I said technology. If a altcoin or project offers its own tech it will surly attract investors and with constant improvement will make the altcoin to be more valuable. Another vital point is the developers within the project, in this case will they be able to ensure they keep upgrading or will be quit halfway. So first thing first, technology leads to popularity.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: February 12, 2020, 10:54:39 AM
Everyone is entitled to his opinion though, however I agree with about 90% of what you said. They are the truth and pure fact if only most will take time to understand it. Yes, bitcoin is the best crypto to hold owing to its decentralized nature, at least most can agree that there is other coin so decentralized like Bitcoin. Also, it can't be argued that Bitcoin can do almost all things most altcoins are already doing but I believe only bitcoin can't drive this space, there needs to be alternative thus altcoins. The only issue here is the way these altcoins are springing up with no tangible results to show for. Only few are actually doing well or working towards a purpose. I can't encourage selling all holdings to Bitcoin but holding Bitcoin in large part makes sense to me while the other remaining can be for altcoins one believes in.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is bigger than the rest of the crypto market combined on: February 12, 2020, 10:45:38 AM
He is not far from the truth, I mean everyone will always go for what they believe in. To most people or rather a greater number of people in this crypto sphere values Bitcoin more than any other coin. Once there is a good movement in the market, Bitcoin takes the lead so who wouldn't want to hold a coin like that. Also, other altcoins mentioned are trying their best but not enough to make them the center of attention like Bitcoin. In my own opinion, I prefer holding bitcoin in a larger proportion and then other altcoins.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 most hilarious ICOs ever on: February 10, 2020, 09:13:37 PM
It sounds funny though but even more hilarious when people no matter how small invested or bought those coins; like what were they trying to achieve? I have come across many ICOs with funny names and funny ideas and yet they managed to make away with funds raised which points to or shows that most Investors don't really know what it takes to study a project thus leading to them being played on.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NOW the time to get into Ethereum ? on: February 10, 2020, 05:42:11 PM
Although one of the things about this space is, it's unpredictable nature but yet there are coins worth holding such as ETH. ETH has proven over time to show case why it's one of the best coins in this space. Whenever there is an uptrend in the market, ETH is among the few that will surge in price, therefore in my own opinion, this means there is never a bad time to hold ETH unless you are a trader. Also, considering its news of upgrade, it also serves as a good time to hold or invest in ETH.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: February 10, 2020, 05:36:11 PM
USD Tether is a Bitfinex issued ERC-20 token which is claimed to be backed by dollar at 1:1 ratio. There are controversial opinions about this and some say it's a scam.

Do you trust USDT or believe it might be a scam?

The truth is, it's had to say if USDT is scam or not; yes there have many news but instead traders etc are still using it or trading with it. Although there might be underlying things we don't know but for now I have no reason not to trust it. I trade with it, store it against the downtrend in the market and there have been no issue ever since.
Lastly, exchanges are still using it, so why won't I trust it.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 10, 2020, 05:29:28 PM
In the next bull run, Do you also believe that XRP will reach this high or do you think that this is impossible?
Are you one of those crypto investors that dislike XRP because it is centralized and most prefered to invest in other cryptos like bitcoin and ethereum?

As the article said:
"It is believed that crypto investors dislike XRP because it is arguably more centralized than Bitcoin or Ethereum."

Source: XRP Price Could Reach $14 Breaking Out from Two-Year Bear Market

One thing about XRP is that it grows in any chance of uptrend in the market, this can't be argued but in reality believing that it will hit that price can be argued. It looks unachievable for a coin with such supply in addition to the amount which will soon be released. Yes, most people still don't like XRP cause of its nature but that hasn't made it to stop growing. In my own opinion, I like XRP owing to some of its improvement but it's centralized nature is always a turn off.

871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: December 09, 2019, 10:20:38 PM
As we all know , crypto market is not doing so much in these days. Major Altcoins are bleeding, even top currencies are not increasing
Major reason according to my opinion is the lack of new investors. New investors are not showing interest.
in 2020 I think will be better than Today. What do you think, what is your prediction about crypto market. kindly share your thought.

Actually, it is not that investors aren't coming but rather it is that these investors are now wise and careful of the projects the invest in. They are now highly selective and not the normal hype that project release that goes about drawing investors. Secondly, am not good with prediction so I am not expecting much so as not to get sad but however, am still expectant as well.
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the future of Altcoin on: December 09, 2019, 10:13:30 PM
I realy want to buy altcoin which coin can i buy to hold and make big project in future any idea tell me best profit coin to buy thanks.

When questions like this comes up, getting the adequate answer is the issue, this is because the crypto space itself isn't easy to predict as many prediction keeps failing thus it would be hard saying a particular coin can give a good reward within a particular time. But since you want to hold with no timeframe of selling, in my own opinion, you can give ETH a shot because it is one of the best altcoins if not the best.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2019, 10:05:46 PM
I am determined to buy FB coin Libra even though it is not available yet. I hope it is available on exchanges where i can buy easily.

Will it be a threat to BTC and other altcoins? I am afraid that the prices of BTC and other altcoins will go down. It makes me hesitate to buy some currencies like TRX currently.

Will it be a threat to BTC? I think it's meant to be this way, will BTC be a threat to it? Do you know why people value BTC more than all coins? It's simple, all about decentralization and Privacy; this and many more is what Facebook coin can't offer to users. People are even complaining about Facebook data issues, imagine what will happen when it comes to its cryptocurrency. Nevertheless, no one knows the fate of that coin for now owing to underlying issues, whatever comes up, Bitcoin will retain its value.
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH to zero? This guy is dreaming! on: December 07, 2019, 08:39:25 PM
He is only not dreaming but a big looser. I wonder what people gain from saying trash about good coins while leaving the worthless ones to be in every inch and corner of the crypto space. How can one really say a coin like Eth will amount to zero when it is the top second coin in this space? Anyone listening to him will only be causing himself harm. Yes the market hasn't been favourable, but this isn't just to one coin alone, but the entire coins in this space, I chose to hold my ETH than investing in all these coins coming up with no future.
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors are getting smarter but why not developers???? on: December 07, 2019, 08:33:56 PM
investors are invading some exchanges why not developers? i know listing fee can be huge but few exchanges are just scam practitioners, developers should take their time to check out scam accusation thread on this forum and see how many people are been ripped off by these so called exchanges e.g idax p2pb2b among others

Do you actually believed developers aren't smart enough to point out bad exchanges? They are, but just chose to list on those exchanges because it will afford them the opportunity to carryout their fraudulent activities of either abandoning the project or coming up with baseless excuses. Investors and other users in this space have learnt this truth, which is why any project listing on a bad exchange will only but repel investors Instead of drawing them closer.
Therefore don't believe whatever reason developers give for listing on a bad exchange.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think crypto world needs... on: December 07, 2019, 08:30:03 PM
The first and foremost thing needed in this space is projects with great value and utility. Many has promised to either bring scalablilty, beat Bitcoin etc but yet they are a shadow of themselves now. I think it's wise for projects to be genuine, thus focusing on what they want to offer which will be used in the world at large be it in any type of Industry; projects or platforms like this is what is needed because not only will they bring value but will also lead to mass adoption.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: December 07, 2019, 08:20:54 PM
You have tried by setting your ideas but there is more to consider before holding any coins, yes one needs to study every coin before holding bur what happens when you hold and all of a sudden, there is token swap and you missed out? Am not saying holding isn't a good call, but the type of coins we hold matters, I hold coins like Bitcoin and ETH because they have proven to be the best. As for other coins am still checking them, because some can seem good only for it dump in price and remain dead.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FEAR OF DUMPING on: December 07, 2019, 08:14:54 PM
The fear of dumping often makes the project team fear or avoid the payment of hunters until sometimes after the exchange listing. I wonder why the team make themselves restless on an easy thing like that when they can easily conduct their bounty with bitcoin or ethereum for payment. That will safe them of the fear that the bounty hunter will dump after the exchange listing.

That's what they want us to believe but in clear terms it isn't. The question is, how much is the bounty allocation that will cause the price of a token to dump badly? Even when the tokens are locked, the token still dumps on getting listed, why? Because investors are those who decides the fate of any project, and it is how they are being treated in addition to what they see the team doing will decide if they will hold and support the project or if they will dump and move on. So every project should worry about development other than bounty hunters dumping.
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions for New Altcoins on: December 06, 2019, 06:49:24 PM
It's not that you aren't seeing people discussing about good projects it's just the number of worthless projects coming up is alarming. Also, there are still investors investing in several projects but most are doing so for quick profit which might be risky though, this is because they know vividly there is nothing good to expect from the project on the long run. On the other hand, a good number of developers aren't really developing new projects instead they are twisting or adding few things to already existing projects, with this attracting investors and when they are done or gotten what they want, the project ends because they lack the expertise to further develop it.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent Icos facts on: December 06, 2019, 06:37:49 PM
Like seriously, ICOs? I thought they are dead and gone as I have not come across any for months now. But on a more serious note, after all the fraudulent activities they are known for i thought we would be wise by not giving attention to any of them again. Nevertheless, to be on the safer side, stop investing in so called ICO because they are easy to exit scam or come up with many reasons not to list, just focus on good coins out there like Bitcoin or if you have an urge of investing in upcoming projects then IEOs is better off, although issues still exists.
