Agreed!  A+C What are you plans with the extras for return service, as seen on the USA thread. I have no problem with you burning them in!

If you mean by the product's warranty, I am still setting an agreement with Friedcat to determine how it will work. It is possible that I am going to receive extra units to replace failing units. Once I have that defined I will communicate the buyers.

I had already paid the amount from the "Final Price (BTC)" column from the Trader's Book.

How bad are you missing the 2 satoshis? (this is a serious question, regarding accounting)

Well, if you are talking about the amount overpaid by you it is not 200 satoshi, but 72478 satoshi.

Did you paid 8.45503194 BTC over 8.45430716 BTC, right?

Paid!

Here we go  Grin

+1 for the great work. I like how clear you are doing it. Congrats!

You are welcome!

I like honest and open trade very much, you are all invited to follow the payment list I prepared:

863  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Do we have a potential fraudster among us? on: May 25, 2013, 10:00:40 PM
It's roughly comparable to proving that Bitcoin is broken by starting an exchange or web-based wallet and then running off with the money or tricking people into deleting their wallet files. It's a Luddite attack on Bitcoin, Ripple, and technology in general -- an attempt to prove that people are too stupid to have powerful tools.

They are different because Bitcoin does not allow, say, Instawallet to replace 100 BTC in bitcoin-qt with 100 "BTC" in Instawallet without your explicit approval. Nobody would have lost anything if users had to click "I will trade 10 BTC.Bitstamp for 10 BTC.TradeFortress.
Bitcoin allows instawallet to do whatever they want without anyone's approval. Both "attacks" take advantage of the fact that you can trick people into doing things that have negative consequences that they might not be aware of.

Both attacks involve tricking someone into doing something that can have negative consequences of which they may not be aware and then exploiting the results of that trick. Even if it required explicit approval, you could just as easily trick people into providing that approval. By requiring it of them before making a payment to them.

http://www.hrmorning.com/would-you-trade-your-password-for-a-candy-bar/

He's convincing people to hurt themselves with powerful technology as a way of arguing that people are too dumb to have that technology or the technology is bad because it enables people to hurt themselves. It's completely different from arguing that there should be better safeties or warnings.

For example, consider a hammer. A person can bash their thumb with a hammer. The Luddite argument is that because people can bash their thumb with a hammer, hammers are bad. Or, worse, convincing people to use hammers carelessly so you can show lots of pictures of black and blue thumbs to stop this scourge of evil hammers. It's not at all the same as arguing that because people can bash their thumbs with a hammer, people need to understand how to safely use hammers or that it might be worth investigating whether a hammer can be designed such that it's more difficult to hit your thumb.

I am sorry!

I forgot to include the total amount due in the payment order!

My mistake!

I am going to send again the payment order.
865  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSE] Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 25, 2013, 09:06:39 PM
Yes that would be great, but please check that you changed me on line 103....it looks like you may have changed line 102? thanks again!

I am sorry, my mistake...

Job done.

Augusto,

Did you set a deadline for payments?

Also, I did notice that the "final payment" changes slightly due to fluctuation in BTC price.  I think you are adding shipping converted to BTC to it.

Could we fix the final price so that we know how much to pay.  I guess you'll do that when you issue invoices, no?

Thanks,
Peter

I already fixed the price. There is no more variation for each order.

You should have a payment order by now in your electronic mail box.

Payment as soon as possible!
866  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSE] Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 25, 2013, 08:57:03 PM
@A+C; are you also accepting payment via an escrow service?

No.

 Undecided
867  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSE] Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 25, 2013, 07:07:58 PM
So you want us to wait to pay?

Yes, once you get an payment order or an invoice. I am right now organizing this!

Copied amount into Bitcoin client, sent transaction, refreshed order book, amount increased by 200 Satoshis

OK, now I understand. You paid while I was still including the last orders.

Hi A+C

Could you please redo my shipping (line 103) to the USA to a 4 day shipping as the 3 days faster is not worth the added cost.

Thank you

I changed but the maximum compensation is just £50. Are you all right with that?

868  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSE] Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 25, 2013, 05:52:38 PM
While transaction was confirming, the amount due increased by some hundreds Satoshis. WTF

What do you mean with that?
869  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [CLOSE] Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 25, 2013, 04:39:01 PM
Now the Trader's Book is close, I am going to review the parcel costs of each order.

For each order with 15% or more in parcel costs I am going to decrease the shipping price to the best low threshold as possible. This will ensure all buyers pay a fair price for their orders. Once I receive the batch I will organize the shipment queue to compensate buyers with a long delivery time.

If you have any suggestion, please drop me a message.

Once I have the parcel costs organized, I am going to prepare to receive payments.

Keep tuned in!

I guess you're paying for them after the money shows up in your account or they can prove they sent the money to you.

If it's yes I will take it.

I don't get it.  Why is to total number changing from 300 to 325 now 330.  What is the point?
I say close this group buy and place an order, no?

Augusto, why are you increasing the total?

No, I changed the Trader's Book to reflect the number of units ordered as I include more pre-orders. I will close the book if there is 400 or more units ordered. I cannot efficiently handle this trade with more than 400 or more units orders.

Do you mean that you'll be sending the invoices on Monday?  I haven't received mine yet if you sent them already.

I will send once I close the Trader's Book. I am waiting a response from Friedcat to start to collect funds from the buyers.

Should've put my order in last night, hope I'm not too late (8 order to NZ).

Yes, your pre-order was accepted.

I say refund the price for everyday delayed  Wink

Well, I will include something like that in the service agreement I am preparing.

Hi A+C can you increase my order from 1 to 3 please

ML in the UK (line 95)

I am ready to get this order going! How long do people have to pay, once the order window is closed?

Up to next Monday.

Hurry up!

Hi, i just pre-ordered some miner from you, but i would know 2 things:

1. Can i pay for it with escrow ?
2. Can you declare the parcel below a value so i haven't any problem with Customs office of my country ?

Thks

Hi,

1. No, I have to make a full payment upfront to order the batch from ASICMiner. However I am preparing a service agreement to offer a secure deal for the buyers.

2. Yes, I can!
878  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Block Erupter USB @ 2.10 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: May 24, 2013, 02:09:26 PM
You can increase my order from 3 to 5: BV in the Netherlands

Job done!

On the order form... What does "...with compensation" mean? Is that British for "Insurance"? And how fast is "Fast Delivery" versus "Normal Delivery"?

Also, how do I specify what color I want? :-)

Well, I am not sure if I can promise there will be all colours available. Friedcat did not specified how he working with the colours distribution.

Oh, I almost forgot... That option is for oversea buyers. There is not really big difference between fast and normal delivery in UK. Yes, the compensation is to insure the package content.

Just pre-ordered one.

Will we receive a PAID VAT invoice ?

Yes.

I guess you're paying for them after the money shows up in your account or they can prove they sent the money to you.

If it's yes I will take it.

Yes, exactly. I am going to act with due diligence with every buyer requesting the credit from me. I am quite carefully committed to avoid unnecessary risks when dealing with money. I am going to send you a PM.

Thank you very much.
880  Economy / Lending / [Repaid] 21.00000000 BTC, 14 days @ 0.5% per day on: May 24, 2013, 03:30:05 AM
Disclaimer: I will only deal with well established forum members.

I am looking for a lender interested to invest in a line of credit for the group buy I am organizing. Few buyers already indicated they had difficulty to buy BTC to pay the ordered products. So I am quite willing to let them pay in GBP or EUR by bank wire transfer. However I have no liquidity at the moment to pay for their orders. The seller will only accept BTC to close a deal for at least 300 Block Erupter USB units.

My proposal for interested lenders:

Amount borrowed: 21.00000000 BTC
Interest rate: 0.5% per day
Repayment term: lump-sum payment after 14 days
Total amount due: 22.47000000 BTC [ 21 (1+14 0.005) ]

With the amount borrowed I am going to be able to provide a short line of credit to the buyers and close the order book as soon as possible to satisfy all parties involved.
