Yeah i still believe in the rise of the crypto market but i would not advise holding much of altcoins. Invest into bitcoin or ethereum, those are my two sure bets. The future of crypto is very big and i believe that this year would be a great turn up for the crypto market.
What that `much of altcoins` means? With so many altcoins around having 10 of them or 20 is not much. Bitcoin and eth are good long term investments, but same as they started others are tying to make a name too. Yes though this is a platform where technical issues about bitcoin are been discussed, but investment decision should be made personal. That will be after proper research about the proposed project is carried out, effort should be taken also to study charts about the upward and downward movement of the project's price. It will be suicidal to rely fully on investment decisions reached on this platform, with a proper DYOR. Time for investing is now, it was much better time for investing 5 years ago or 10, it will not be bad if you invest tomorrow or in a year, what I want to say that its always a good time for investing in cryptocurrencies. Researching is good, but what you have to research about bitcoin? Ethereum? Dash? You either invest in them or not. There’s already plenty of negative news towards BTC already and lots of traders are calling for a major pullback as RSI is currently overbought and has been for some days, but RSI was also incredibly oversold when we plummeted from $6K. FUD will always exist when we’re going up or down, it’s just a part of crypto now. We’ll likely see some if we fall from the $5000s for BTC. Just filter it out and do things as you normally do.
OP doesnt know much about bitcoin history, we already had so many negative articles in the past, but bitcoin is still alive and well, making progress every day. I read the news too, some of the articles pointing out that bitcoin is overbought, on other side you have some very bald predictions about bitcoin price in next two years, I dont believe in any of them too much, I learned long time ago to not pay attention on news too much, everyone should learn that, to have some filter for news how you call it. |

Every advice about trading can be good, but in the end a person needs to sit and start trading, without that all advises means jack shit. Experience comes from making mistakes, not from mistakes that other made. I tried many strategies in trading, lost a lot of money before I found what is best for me. when BTC returned to $ 5K in an instant period compared to long stress period really didn't surprise me. I'm sure all of user must have guessed the bad period will end soon. it's just can't determine when. for the past few days. some price resistance barriers can be skipped even though there are some price correction points. My estimate that BTC will increase by at least 5% every two days.
Me either, I believe it will recover and it happened, I'm not surprise but was very happy and until now that happiness is still within since we are still seeing that BTC uptrend has not stopped. I just thought that this increase is very fast, but that's alright we fall very hard, and now we moon hard. Like in headline, bitcoin has done it and will do it the same again and again. I think that is inevitable process in any growing technology. Most of us here believe in longterm rise, and how to not believe when we made huge progress in past years, big things happening around us and soon it will become globally, majority will use it and thats adoption faze that we are waiting for, price will follow that progress. it is difficult if a coin that has long been trusted can be defeated by altcoin and that has happened to bitcoin as far as I know bitcoin is the parent of many coins and applies to ethereum and if the price of bitcoin goes down then altcoin will come down, it will be difficult for altcoins to shift the price and position of bitcoin. Bitcoin is the first coin, ethereum is totally different project, with different purpose and bitcoin and ethereum are not competitors. We can compare them in terms of price, bitcoin is much more expensive than ethereum is and maybe that will stay like that for a long time, maybe ethereum can come closer, time will tell. Holding coins is good for people that don't have time to keep trading it daily, I believe holding is better than dumping, with time crypto market will comes back to normal.
Except that some people dont like to risk, its much safer to invest and hold than to trade and lose what you have. Time is a much bigger issue for sure, day trading ask a lot of time in front of computer, looking at monitors, exchanges opened, charts, forums, and many other sites used for collecting informations. I stopped with day trading long time ago, I had just loses and I found a better way for myself to make profit. |

As we can see bitocin price already grow, and now is not more the case that bitcoin price goes so low and to not be more profitable to most miners, i hope that this grow will continue all this month and all this year, even if is not high grow is still good.
Price is up yes, but will this be a short time rise or bitcoin price will set up a new bottom at $5,000 we will see. We all hope for much higher prices, this is just 1/4 of the ath price, we have a long way to there. It's better to be addict on trading not in bad things. Because once your routine is in trading your future will be good because in trading you earn more money if you do hardwork and speding time is really important and I know you earn more money because you always updated on what coins decrease and increasw so you can buy coins with cheap value before its going to up and once it up you already sell it.
Well trading can bring you some money, working for cryptocurrencies, learning about them can be very beneficial for the future. I personally had cases when I sold and went to the minus, but only in order to purchase other tokens, at a good price.
People buy with dollars, price drops, they sell for dollars, of course they are in minus. Old saying on this forum is `you only lost if you sell`! Now prices are up again, people who hold to their investments or bought some other token like you did are in good profit right now. Being recognized, verified and approved by the government to operate doesn't mean that exchange can flee from attacks. Hackers can attack anytime that they want and to increase and make the security tighter is to increase the security level of the exchanges. I like the idea of being approved and passing of requirements for licensing a local exchange. AFAIK, this is already happening in some countries. And it really helps to change the thought of the people that thinks bitcoin is a scam.
You are right, government recognition can only do little help because the crypto space is an open market where both the good and the bad come to shop, bitcoin recognized an approved exchange is a good idea and it will help in boosting the confidence of users but that will not stop it from facing the challenges others are facing. People blame others for their mistakes, it was like that and will be, I dont bother myself with that anymore. People cry cause exchange got hacked, they lose private keys, they invested in double bitcoin scheme and they cry after when they run away, people still invest in cloud mining. I think currently there is no website or exchange that accepts land for cryptocurrency but i think you can advertise it in some websites then wait until someone becomes interested, i hope you get lucky and sell your land for cryptocurrency.

Well, no one wants to keep losing money. ICO has failed over the course last year and its purely logical for several investors to avoid it. Projects doing ICO since the end of 2018 are now phasing into the IEO model instead
I think that nobody can provide complete informations about how many icos were created in last two years, how many of them were good projects with good idea, how many of them were scams, and all others that simply didnt pass needed criteria for investing. Despite all that, this new thing, icos made some great projects, just the strongest survive, and with so many icos its simply hard to pick good ones, but still you can find them and make some good investment. |

From time to time we need to risk more than usual, its how we can make more profit than usual, its how we can gain much more than we invested. Not everyone can afford to invest big money, most of the people invest small amounts and to make huge profit with that you need to be very lucky and get into investment in very early stages. I dont think that people should risk all the time, make some calculation and try sometimes to invest in unknown project with possible huge potential, maybe you will be the lucky one. |
