Guy Fawkes maybe?
8662  Other / Off-topic / Re: NORML Needs You! on: December 27, 2011, 03:00:04 PM
I am a member of NORML IRL so I think this is absolutely fantastic! Donated some coins!

No donations are collect at this time. This is just the pledging stage. (I sent FlipPro a PM)

I will kick in for this. I'm leaving Istanbul right now, when I get back here next week I should be able to send.

Thank you, RodeoX. As mentioned about, no need to send any coins yet, for this is only the pledging stage.

I took the liberty in putting a (1) after FlipPro and RodeoX's names, located on the pledging list in the OP.

~Bruno~

Thanks. Can you change mine to 1.420BTC. By the way rural Turkey is awesome! As I write this I can hear the call to prayers.

8664  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: My suggestions on how to make a decent client on: December 25, 2011, 03:11:06 PM
@Gabi - You had it right in the title when you said you had "suggestions". The client is at version 0.5.1. The zero means no complaining, no saying "this SUCKS!!!11!"; IMO.
Having said that, some of your suggestions good ones!
8665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Major correction to rally coming... on: December 25, 2011, 02:15:45 PM
I got lucky also. I put in a buy at ~$3.80 before going to bed. Woke up to find the price dipped down to my price then rocketed up to $4.28. Santa likes me. Cheesy
8666  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who creates the jobs? on: December 23, 2011, 07:25:07 PM
When I hear politicians making the "job creator" argument I can't help but wonder if they think I have down syndrome. The idea that a business person would leave money on the table because their personal taxes are too high is ridicules.
If my customers demand is higher than my ability to produce, then I hire someone. It does not matter what I pay in taxes. I hire people to make more money for me, not some act of kindness.
So, who creates jobs? I do. (well, I have.) Want me to create more jobs? Then show me how it will lead to greater profits and the job is yours.

Welcome fellow peer. New users to this forum have the restriction of only posting in the newbie area. I think it is just for the first five posts. You may also request to be "whitelisted" if you promise to play nice. You can find info about all this in the newbie section of the forums.

Cheers

I just sent them a request to post a bitcoin address.

I like how your targeting new markets. I think all the Alpaca sock wearing crypto-anarchists have heard of bitcoin by now.
8670  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did all the doomsayers go? on: December 21, 2011, 08:24:58 PM
I never understood those guys. I support their right to be here, buy why? Why spend all day deriding something? If you think bitcoin is stupid, get out of the way and let us who like it do our thing. We will welcome you back when you need bitcoin to pay your taxes.  Wink
8671  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you listening to? on: December 21, 2011, 03:43:14 PM
BOMBA ESTÉREO

They rock out. Give a listen to "Fuego" on their MySpace page.

8672  Economy / Speculation / Re: $4 today!? on: December 20, 2011, 03:05:02 PM
Just remember that quick growth like this is usually not sustainable. I prefer the healthy, gentle ramping up that we saw for several weeks past. If one side of the chart looks like the Eiffel tower, then the other side is likely to look the same.
8673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is time for an official protest on: December 20, 2011, 02:44:40 PM
I understand your position. But looking for accuracy in a TV show is quite a battle. I would not know where to start, and I doubt it would ever end.
8674  Economy / Speculation / Re: $4 today!? on: December 20, 2011, 04:24:50 AM
I just bought some not to ramp up the price, but to get some pre-$4 coins.
8675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt, bitcoind version 0.5.1 released on: December 20, 2011, 04:14:55 AM
I'm on Ubuntu subscribed to the Matt Corallo PPA but so far have seen no 0.5.1 update come down. Is that delayed or something wrong why it's not being propagated?
Thx.

Edit: I spoke too soon. A few minutes after posting the update manager showed it was coming. I guess the squeaky wheel gets the grease here. Is it normal to take 3-4 days to get recognized?
For what it's worth; Subscribing to the same PPA an Ubuntu 11.10 machine I have updated bitcoind along with all my other updates. Totally sweet. Cheesy The version 10.10 computer im on right now is not cooperating. Smiley (I'm still happy though)
8676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin TV episode CONFIRMED!!! on: December 20, 2011, 01:40:42 AM
OMFG, Bitcoin has spread to another network!  Shocked
8677  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MerkleWeb - statistical Godel-like secure-but-not-perfect global Turing Machine on: December 18, 2011, 09:34:15 PM
This is an idea worth watching. One can envision many uses for such a system. Great job man!
8678  Economy / Speculation / Re: This lack of volatility almost makes Bitcoin look... civilized on: December 18, 2011, 04:40:32 PM
I'm not entirely convinced of the Holliday theory. I will out of the USA during the holidays. But I will still be checking prices and buying, if a deal is to be found.
8679  Economy / Speculation / Re: how else is waiting for a sizeable drop to buy more coins again? on: December 18, 2011, 04:32:42 PM
I have been in a buy mode since about $2.7. I guess I do try to buy at a low for the day, but the growth we are seeing now looks steady, slow, and healthy. So, I don't worry about paying $3.2 or whatever. These are good times for BTC.
8680  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why I am glad I have clowned around on this forum... on: December 16, 2011, 07:30:37 PM
No, too reasonable, and not enough unilaterals and desires.
Hahaha Cheesy
