John K on the forum is a trusted member which offers a escrow service, check the thread under the 'services' sub-forum. You might want to send him a private message, to see if you can work out a deal.

Well this is my first scam accusation thread, there's a guy on BTC called nexusakachus that I lent money too as well as a bunch of others on these loans he put up, this person owes me the loan of 0.1 BTC I pooled in with other people, probably not going to get the interest back but I'd both like to warn people or get my money back without interest if he is honest.
I am making this thread so others can post here because he has an active account on Bitcointalk, I have patiently waited until the very last due date for him to pay me back and it hasn't happened, in hindsight it was a stupid thing to do because he was clearly overextending himself with the amount of loans he had taken out but I know better now.
Sorry, let me get this correct. You only lost 0.1 btc? Or you lost a % of 0.1btc. So, you lost about $12? You don't understand do you, losing any amount of money is not nice. That 0.1BTC might be worth $12 now, but in the future it could be worth a whole lot more. And even if it isn't what's the difference? A scammer has to start somewhere. To the OP, Could you please provide more evidence on this deal, conversations, Transaction Id etc.

Why don't you offer Karma coin gift codes? these can be used for thousands of game currencies.

So hang on a minute, you ran a escrow service before.
So, I'm guessing you already have some BTC, why do you need the whole 8BTC, haven't you already got some BTC?
|
|

That's right, he's on the scam list and has a couple of threads pointing out he's a scammer.

For a population of 300 million, that's one in 3,000 and 1 in 30,000 respectively.
So you're telling me there's a chance... Haha, reminds me of the film dummer & dummer, brilliant quote.

firstly,Have you contacted saudibull?
I see in the thread you said you were going to repay, but there was no cofirmation off anyone of you on that thread.

It seems that the bitcoin community is mostly from america & brazil.
I have yet to find a meetup within the united kingdom, esecially within driving distance from me. I will be moving out in the states soon, any suggestions where to go?
San Francisco appears to be a hot spot for BTC activity--at least, I think it was San Francisco... I have already been to san francisco on holidays and I loved the area, that is actually one place where I was thinking of moving anyway...hmm decisions. Thanks for that!

We wouldn't know, different programs operate differnet, I'm assuming someone would have to create a entire different miner for the PS4 etc. This would be difficult to start now, because we don't know the final details on the consoles.
It sounds like it's possible, doesn't mean it's going to be profitable.

Same situation for me, I recently got a 650USD loan which should be a quick payback, but I''m sitting on 1000 in coins right now. so I know I can pay it back, Would rather not cash in coin's for money though Building rep has a lot to do with your involvement in the community as well! Don't be a weenie. Reputation, doesn't mean your post count, they may be called 'hero members' BUT that doesn't mean a thing. I could get hero status within a couple of days if I really wanted too. Whenever, you are looking to build reputation think about it first. Be prepared to answer all questions and provide any identification if its a big request. Also, going back to the OP, if they have done many different loans and have repaid ALL, then that doesn't mean one day they see a good opportunuity to get coins and retire on them. always beware. If your dealing with ANYONE, always do a background check, if you can't find any information, ask around with people who have done past dealings. I always keep a record of past scams or 'close scams' where the seller/buyer was very late in replying or paying. You have to beware of everyone on the forums.

@Chang Noi - May I hazard you've never bought a house before?
In the USA and in Thailand. However never with BTC, never without knowing the address of the house, or the phone number of the lawyer. To have an auction to sell a house online in a week with BTC both the address of the house and the contact information of the lawyer should be provided.
I could understand you are thinking this but I also said, you can call the lawyer...
...if you dont trust, call the lawyer, see it is true, and then make apologies on the forum.
After he said I could contact the lawyer to get the address he now says I have to wait until Monday. There are red flags everywhere. Maybe the lawyer doesn't work on weekends, haha. I wish you the best of luck and hope this isn't a scam, I have been following all the posts. I would want identification of the OP, and meet up in person, with your and his lawyer. But, the sellers story does seem to make sense and I believe that he is actually generally trying to sell the house, and not run away with your money.

AGAIN, another one of these posts, these are proving popular today.
Look in my sig, the ripple scam.

As of yet, not anything.
I seem to get most of my bitcoin via selling goods on bitmit.net and selling my programming knowlegde.

Thanks for reporting guys! It was fairly obvious and he kind of failed, but well-done!

Better use John. I have reputation, but nothing compared to the one of John. Anyway, I doubt he will send the money to the escrow. His story doesn't convince me. I hope he proves me wrong.
Do you ever It's hard to trust anyone with bitcoin, but I would certainly trust trading & john. They have both showed continues good trades, but who knows even the most reputable member could get their hands on a big amount and scam others, you always have to think, before dealing with bitcoin. I nearly always ask for documentation, unless it's using bitmit.net or I have a fairly good gut feeling they will pay.

Bennett is a good guy He gives out free BTC to people and is making salsa And besides who the fuck would scam for 0.2 BTC? Had a guy default on .122 lol I think the bigger issue is some people use these micro loans to build rep so they can later on run away with a bigger loan Yeah, that's true, some people do that. But, I don't think Bennett is like that, he has shown good reputation, and provided me with documents if he ever scams me or any others. I'm more than confident that this will work a charm.

Running a ubuntu live CD, install the bitcoin client. Then copy the wallet.dat on a storage device, keep this safe and don't use this on another operating system.
Then, write down the bitcoin address and use that address for storing your bitcoins, you don't want to keep checking if they have been received via your ubuntu setup, because that will take a long time.
When you want to withdraw any bitcoins, then boot up your live cd once again, then withdraw like normal. However don't use the wallet.dat on your computer without running a live cd.
