You know what, it makes perfect sense that Bitcoin gets stronger, and not weaker, after overcoming each challenge. In fact, if it were not for all these obstacles,,, ETF rejection, Bitcoin cash fork, bans in China and so on, I doubt we would see the prices we have all enjoyed today! Imagine if everything went according to dev wishes and no forks happened and everyone embraced it. We would have ETH! So, you know what, bring on the forks, bring on the bans. Make Bitcoin stronger!

So, was everyone happy with how RPX ICO went? I was literally about to buy NEO to invest, but thanks to some unexpected alt losses (yes, we are all in the same boat),,, I was forced to stay away from anything. I feel I will regret it, but I have taken quite a beating already on trading so I really need to keep my hands and Bitcoin tied down.
Oh btw, I heard some Chinese people still managed to sneak in on the back of other non-China investors.

Okay, so we have countries slowly following the examples of each other in trying to regulate exchanges. Fair enough. They feel the need to get in some control before it spins out of their understanding. And in some cases, they want to protect their citizens.
But this will affect the ideals of people who originally want to use Bitcoin because of privacy and security. But maybe this will force them to completely abandon fiat? Without exchanges, you can still trade crypto and crypto only. Maybe this is how it must start for a true crypto and fiatless economy to happen.

That has been the main speculation for ETH since this year, when everyone talked about the great Flippening about to happen. Remember that when Bitcoin almost hit $3000 and ETH was $400? And people said, wow, more than 10% of Bitcoin value. Well, every time ETH tries to climb back to $300 like now, Bitcoin is making new ATHs. Flippening is not happening, we have to accept that and move on. Wall Street has to stop loving Bitcoin first too. |

Whichever ICO you choose for October, I would recommend you wait at least until November when forks have happened and past. OR, if you really want to do it, then make sure the ICO has already made plans to regulate their ICO. Right now, this is the biggest danger to ICOs, and if you choose one that is not prepared, you will lose a lot of money when the authorities clamp down.
Regulated ICO that I know of are UTRUST and HYDROMINER.

Of course it is a pump, what else would you think this could be? On a day when every other alt almost is falling at frightening speed, and Bitcoin jumping more than 10% to a mighty $5,600, it would take something special to make an alt even maintain its current value. Since yesterday, OMNI has had no news. No update or new development. No release of confirmed partnerships. No listing on new exchange. So of course it is a few whales working to pump the price. Do not get fooled.

That is what they want you to think, so you dump your BCH at fire-sale prices. Chinese government and Bitmain are likely working closely together on increasing their share of The Real Bitcoin pie. Perhaps China will open the floodgates again when they are ready after all the fools have sold. Have any of you ever played poker. SegWit is an insecure altcoin, which will be stolen and discarded. Bitcoin gold is some nonsense about ASIC resistance, which cant exist. Equihash has been analysed. All the forks of The Real Bitcoin (aka BTCSatoshi not BTCSegWit) will probably die eventually. Immutability of Bitcoin is golden. Everything else rusts. First time I have ever heard of BTCSatoshi, and you are simply not the first to claim the Real Bitcoin and you will hardly be the last. The real Bitcoin is what exists as the main chain, preferred by the people who use it most. It can be a fork if it ends up like that one day, it can be the old original chain. It does not matter. The real Bitcoin is not fixed, it will evolve. Immutable as ever, on the path/chain most chosen. |

I am sorry to say this, but you are actually looking for inexperienced traders. If all you got were experienced traders, then they would be good enough to jump you on the pump, and beat you to the dump. What you need is a lot of inexperienced traders with a lot of bitcoins to play with. Pumping, that is the name of the game. And it is played by one or two experienced traders, with many losers of inexperienced traders. You cannot deny that!

I just tried to play Doom demo o playkey. Unfortunately, even with an actual 8mbps connection (I know that's not that fast compared to some other places), it's pretty much unplayable. I'm in SE Asia, so maybe geographically that's an area that has more ping?
Well I heard that the a connection from at least 15 mbps is recommended. So with 8 mbps it isn't a surprise that you can't use play without lags. With today's technology and broadband internet connection 15 mbps is achievable even in smaller cities and villages with mobile connection  Unfortunately, I also have only 8 mbps. Maybe I will do the research if better internet speed is available in my location. Seriously guys? I live in small city and I've got almost 21 mbps with my mobile connection and 13mbsp with my home TV offer  And you donīt travel a lot hah. There are cities where you can be happy if you have speed like that. Of course when you live in your nice house in westeurope itīs not like that, but please wake up! So it does seem true that this platform is simply unplayable with anything less than 15 mbps connection. I hope the project realises that the largest gaming population lives in Asia, where the average connection is much less than that even in developed urban areas. You can ignore them and focus on the West and America, but there you have it. P.S. I have been to Europe and not everyone afford high speed internet too. |

- POS integration time by time
- More flexibility of Smart Contract?
- Zero knowledge protocol
Is this the main benefits of it?
It is very possible that ETH might break the $400 ATH if the Hard fork are successful i guess
Actually, whether or not these are improvements might depend on who you are. If you are a miner, then you will not like that rewards are almost halved. You will also not like that it will only be some PoW. But if you are a large holder, sure you will enjoy some PoS. If you are a heavy user and ICO specialist or dev, you will definitely like the new changes. With the update, there should be less loads and less downtimes. Only time will tell. |

This is a very big challenge though. Sometimes the best time will be now.
Why? Waiting for the biggest dip before there will be a pump is like playing with fire.
Example: many guys wanted to buy bitcoin when it dropped to 3000$. But many got greedy and waited for the max dip. Then it was only a few moments on 2.8K and went up to 3500.
Only a few did get it. So instead of paying 3000$ they needed 3500$ now
I am thinking that the alt prices now are 15 to 20% lower than they were last week. I am comparing it to Bitcoin Cash when the fork came out, did I gain 15%? No I gained less than 10%. So it makes sense for me to get an alt now, and when it recovers to correct price, I make auto 15%. If I keep BTC, I get a new fork coin that MAYBE gets me 10%. Both are gambles, but more risk is more reward. |

I think soma wlll je listed on many exchange, it will be a big project and will easily be listed on major exchange. The value of soma will be very high I think, the ico will raise a lot of money with the actual visibility and the demo !

I would say that top 50 is more than possible  There is always potential for any alt to breach top 50, 15 and even 10, especially if you take into account the high numbers of tokens in circulation. If a huge whale decides one day to just raise the buy order from <1 cent to even 1 dollar, then you multiply the supply by x100 and you have it boosted so high. That is the problem with looking at these alts. So much metrics to look into and analyze. Top 50? Even top 100 is an achievement for Soma. |

The problem is so many competitors in the market of crypto debit cards. And users ultimately cannot tell the difference in tech. For them, if the app works, if the card works, then the token is of no value to them. And perhaps this is the ultimate goal of actual businesses that simply use tokens as a means of distributing shares and profits (except you own tokens and not shares of the company!). A stable token that is not volatile in price, but can earn constant dividends. I believe this is the difference with tokens like Monaco.

Why the new thread? The previous thread was only about the pre-ICO sale and it was completed. Anyway, I was thinking of investing but I didn't really like your solutions to legal protection of exit nodes. You can't transfer responsibility your your agency nor providing legal assitance would help. I would rather go for a technical solution like mixing the internet in a pool or masking IPs, if possible.
I'll let the dev team answer this in more detail, but the solution for this is more complicated, and will involve a mix of technology, with the best encryption protocols, as well as creating the legal framework for covering the basis and handling individual cases. It's in our interest to do our best to protect the exit nodes, as without them the network can't function properly This is one of the most important areas that cryptography solutions have to look into. We all know and see daily how our privacy and security and even our liberty of access is slowly being taken away by states and corporations. Yes, it is complicated, and unfortunately your project must address this vulnerability. The users will not adopt the technology if they cannot be protected in the end. Do you already have a testable network for us to try out? Something that we can already use to access from known restriction areas? |

To OP: Have a category section for all airdrops. Like what kind of token. What effort required. And what kind of technical uniqueness. The idea for me here is, I hate signing up to every single airdrop. A Random ETH Token airdrop is not the same as a Byteball airdrop. If your site can differentiate this, maybe assign a prediction rating (1 to 10), that will be helpful.

Yes we appreciate that it does sounds similar to Make a Wish foundation, however 'Wish' is commonly used in the name of a number of different charitable organisation and projects, so we felt it would resonate strongly with the general public and charitable sphere alike.

Regarding the price, I don't think we can expect much from altcoins in general before the Bitcoin fork.
Trading, just like any other "traditional" area of crypto, is just trying to appeal to the masses. Media is all transforming and trying to make use of new tech to appeal to new generations. The millenials probably all enjoy this more than we do. But do not let your poor experience get in the way of your appreciation haha. And yes, this is a definite push. Look at BTC price of OMG and it is sideways at best. |

This next splitting may happen the same way we experienced in august . Bitcoin gold is going to get great buying momentum and after that traders especially the whales will started to sell off the coin and that is going to keep it below $200. Bitcoin core has a strong system that makes it to ever be above every other coins and it is serving as a gold standard to others alternative coins. Bitcoin gold will make people some money but not like bitcoin cash as this hard fork will not has mush impact like bitcoin cash.
I would tend to say the same, but as others have pointed out, we are not experiencing the same build up pattern. No panic or hype from exchanges announcing support. No wallets offering Bitcoin Gold. And more importantly, miners will not see it as profitable until they see what price it will start at. I think the GPU miners from ETH might move here though, since ETH rewards will lose 40% next month. So that will pump quite a bit until end of 2017. |

My initial investment has grown which makes this my second biggest bag after neo. So yeah I have a lot invested.
There's no updates from the team - the next one will probably be the genesis block release. Off course I'm watching the chart and giving people what I consider a good entry. Take it or leave it. You don't have to open the thread lol.
I guess there are all sorts in this forum. Good that you are making profits with this, although I initially stayed away because of a lot of spam from Walton (lesson learnt, shills do not always speak for the company, even ETH has its own shills!). What would you say is a good entry price now? Walton chain if I am not wrong is developed by Chinese company. I will stay away from Chinese ICO and Coins due to current market scenarios.
