8721  Economy / Goods / Re: [SELLING] Many brand new sealed games - shipping internationally on: May 11, 2013, 10:56:46 AM
Have you tried listing on bitmit.net?

It's a good site and that's where I get most of my products sold, almost instantly sometimes.
8722  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why does everyone think Solo Mining is a waste of time? on: May 11, 2013, 10:54:39 AM
It's not a 'waste' of time, if you have a really good computer, or if you have very good luck.

But, because of the difficulty to mine, even in pools as shot through the roof, it does make it harder.

Solo mining is like playing the lottery, if you win you win big.

8723  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: BFL is shipping on: May 11, 2013, 10:52:47 AM
The owner of BFL, is using some TOP class scamming methods.

People don't realise it because they think BFL is a massive company which won't get away with it.

Well, guys I HATE to break it to you, they have got away with a lot.
They have been stalling for MONTHS now.

Come july, I wouldn't be surprised if no one receives anything from them, oh wait I can imagine them sending a email stating they are sorry and will have to stall another couple of months.

If, people receive their items, then I will be glad.
But, they have already did the damage by delaying for months on end.

Anyway, for the people who ordered, I wish you good luck.
8724  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UK VPN/VPS instant? on: May 11, 2013, 10:48:46 AM
There are multiple free VPN.

http://www.getukvpn.com/

Check that out.
8725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we want to work with money regulators, or keep Bitcoin unregulated? on: May 11, 2013, 10:46:01 AM
I'm leaning towards anti, I think this is just a rumour which has occurred.
Maybe, the government tried to scare bitcoin users, thinking only the rich can get involved in the currency.
I'm not sure, I just don't know how they would control bitcoin, they are only interested in FIAT currencies.
8726  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just got an S4... any must-have apps? on: May 11, 2013, 10:42:05 AM
S4, can be buggy.
But, it is a really good phone and I WOULD recommend to anyone who has came from a iphone.

Android, just seems right to me.
The must have app has got to be something bitcoin related right?
I think there's a few apps related to bitcoin you might want to check out.

8727  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Free Bitcoin Class for Newbies on: May 10, 2013, 10:11:33 PM
Actually, this website is very detailed and goes into a LOT of depth at times.
But, it doesn't go into to mcuh, if you know what I mean.
Bitcoin isn't simple to grasp, especially if you have never heard of it before.
+1 to this!
8728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed Transaction on: May 10, 2013, 10:04:40 PM
Have you checked on blockchain.info?

I'm not sure if there is a way of getting it back, I believe it there is a way but it's a lot of hassle (I could be wrong).

Protip: Always send with a fee, haha.
8729  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Buying BTC with Paypal on: May 10, 2013, 09:57:04 PM
I'm a 2011 member, already done this before, not a scammer, deff not a scammer for 50 freaking bucks.

I know you 'may' of done this before, but that doesn't change a thing.
Paypal is a skethy way to buy BTC.
Maybe find a better way to pay for BTC? Most people don't like to risk it.
8730  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Joshter - Be Careful / Uses fake John K contracts and User account - on: May 10, 2013, 09:52:09 PM
This is not business, it's personal: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197457.0
Theymos justifies the tag of CouragedOne saying that he impersonated John: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=112650
It seems this scammer doesn't learn easily. 10 minutes after getting his account CouragedOne tagged, comes again as Joshter and tries to do the same. If they are the same person, I hope Theymos will publish the IPs and all the emails of Joshter/MartinReynolds/CouragedOne.

That would be nice, this is turning into not just a one off scam, but a chain of them.
He/she is a serial-scammer!
On a serious note, by publishing the ip address would be good, but I think he would just use a VPN service if he/she is determined.
8731  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Should I be careful? on: May 10, 2013, 09:35:46 PM
This thread should pretty much answer it for you: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=14632.0

I always stay away from paypal because of chargebacks.
8732  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Joshter - Be Careful / Uses fake John K contracts and User account - on: May 10, 2013, 09:32:15 PM
The scammer Joshter got the contract from John is this occasion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200433.0). And if it's the same contract (except personal details) that the one used by this CouragedOne (he is claiming his account was hacked, but I saw no post from him in that sense and he is clearly in possession of the account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201265.0), that means the scammers Joshter/MartinReynolds/CouragedOne are the same person.

Nice eye Trading!

This is starting to look rather nasty for him, if he's lying about being hacked then he's in bigger trouble.
8733  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Joshter - Be Careful on: May 10, 2013, 09:11:04 PM
Yes, I agree a scan of the message would be better, would provide more solid evidence.

A scan would be better, because a text copy can be changed, but I think in this case it's enough evidence to have results. John will be so annoyed that this Joshter, finally, will receive the tag for which he (involuntarily) worked so hard. It seems that impersonating John is a capital offense that grants a quick tag from Theymos. Since Joshter and MartinReynolds are the same person (he confessed that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197430.msg2066486#msg2066486), I hope we will have two tags for the price of one.

It's only right that he has the tag on both accounts, otherwise he could just do the same on is other account.
8734  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: SynOps on: May 10, 2013, 09:08:42 PM
Doesn't look good.

Synops has a few mixed reviews about him at bitmit.net

However, most of the feedback are from non-reputable members of bitmit and it looks like they were just ordering then cancelling, this may not be the case though.
One person ordered a few things from him and has left BAD feedback every single time, so it makes me wonder if he was a troll or Synops just screwed him over pretty bad the first time.

However, having said that there ARE reputable members which have left negative feedback and most say shipping late or 'stalling' like  some of you guys said here.

I don't know what to make of this personally, but I will be keeping a eye on this thread.

I am torn between thinking his intention was always to scam, or he started out legit then decided to scam people instead of being honest when the price hike caught us all by surprise. If it was the second, then he should have just been honest.

Honesty goes a long way with me. If I received a late payment, but absolutely no contact from the person about why it's late, or even letting me know that it's late, I would be very reluctant to loan to them again.

If I got an email in advance saying something like "sorry I can't pay you this week, I will pay it on monday instead because X Y and Z happened", I would probably feel confident to invest in that person again. At the very least, I'd feel a lot happier dealing with them than the first guy.

Exactly, life doesn't always work out the way we want it too.
So sometimes we may be late on payments/delivery, but a nice little message which takes 10 minutes to type up and proof read goes a long way.
People do feel more confident, I personally think he tried to start a legit business up.
But, like you said when the price shot up and took us ALL by surprise, he/she might of saw a opportunity to scam.
It seems he has been scamming in-between legit trades though, to make it look like maybe the buyer wasn't considerate.
Going back to the loans, yes he/she was late by the looks of it on a lot of payments, he/she did say earlier on in the thread that he/she is still paying back a loan, because of the sudden increase in bitcons value.

But, it does seem like he/she did purposely go out and scam others.
8735  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Joshter - Be Careful on: May 10, 2013, 08:55:26 PM
Okay, Joshster has been accused of scamming before, check this thread out: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=192971.0 and here is another one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=196082.0

Again there are mixed reviews although, this does require attention from moderators, so that they can investigate further.

Edit: Found another thread with similar allegations: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=200433.0

The escrow address for Joshster(the seller) and Saudibull(the buyer) transaction would be:

LNzD63MLKavcLQftDqGnnxq4gXevYoyAQy - Litecoin

Please state and agree to the conditions (It is 3500 YAC for 75 LTC.) beforehand.

If possible, GPG sign your agreement to prevent any discrepancies later on and please ship with tracking to prevent problems during delivery. GPG signing is not a requirement, and any verbal exchange in the form of private messages or posts on bitcointalk.org, or email is effective as a ‘statement of condition’.

The fine print:
This Contract is solely generated for the purpose of facilitating the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which refers to the pseudonyms used on bitcointalk.org.
The escrow holder, John, assumes and gives no liability or guarantees on the satisfaction of all parties involved, although he agrees to mediate and facilitate the deal to the fullest extent he is capable of.  On the event that any problems arises, he will release the escrow to whichever party that presents him with the most convincing proof and/or after an open discussion with others or theymos.
The verbal acceptance by both parties (or the failure to reject) and the sending of Bitcoins to the escrow address above constitutes the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated, and the activation of this Contract.

Please understand that I am assuming the risk of holding the escrowed Bitcoins, and I am using my own time to facilitate this transaction.
If possible, please tip me at 1NB1KFnFqnP3WSDZQrWV3pfmph5fWRyadz .

Thank you.

If this is true that is very bad, but this would require moderators looking into the situation, this is out of the publics hands.
He/she has been reported many times, some may not be true of course.
But, the public can't check ip's, hopefully a member of staff can take a look at what ip address that account was registered at, it could be you. (people do stuff like this when there mad, I'm not saying it's you though).
Maybe, the account was registered at a separate ip and still could be joshster, but there are ways of finding out.

Can you provide any evidence of this 'fake' contract?
8737  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling all kinds of gift codes on: May 10, 2013, 08:27:11 PM
Any chance you can get Amazon.DE gift cards too?

I could look into that for you, I think I should be able to Smiley.
I'll get back to you if I can.

I love this!

You need to make more, MASS production, full speed ahead.

But yeah, this is a really good idea and has great potential.
