I had a typo in my donation address. Someone sent me a tiny donation and since my address was not valid, it went to parts unknown.

Thanks @enmaku I corrected the title to reflect the article. Someone posted on twitter that the projectile was one of those bean bags. Not that a post on twitter means anything. If it was a bean bag gun, it's dangerously irresponsible to shoot for the head.

A whole line of shirts with my username on them? Ok, cheaper than cafe press.

Carlin would point out that he is not describing today's world eloquently, as today he is dead.

@herzmeister That's bloody brilliant.

That did the trick! Thanks. There is also a PPA for Ubuntu, but it has not been updated and still serves version 0.3.24 of the client.

Call me vindictive, but if I got an extortion letter it would inspire me to go on the offensive. Instead of sending him 300BTC, I would pay 600BTC to a very bad man willing to get vengeance for me. Getting even is one area that I split from logical cost/benefit analysis.

I get a build error under Ubuntu 10.10. It downloads fine then fails upon compiling. Still, thanks for your work! I'm sure it can be tweaked. src/headers.h:30: fatal error: openssl/buffer.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. make: *** [build/bitcoin.o] Error 1

I have a relative who is a Freeman. Let's just say that Vietnam was not good for his mind.

Not me, I'm down with the 99%. The republicans were quick to bring up the specter of "class warfare". I say bring the rain.

WTF? I have not seen that before.

I support everyones right to create as many forks as they want, but i'm sticking to bitcoin. And my new invention "Rodeocoin". There is no software, just send me money in the mail and I'll keep track of it in my head.

Nice find.

Bitcoin is already being used by the Occupy Wall street General assembly and feedtheprotest, among others. The revolution will be financed.

This has been talked about extensively, and you are not alone in your opinion. However I would personally have no interest in a currency with such controls. I prefer to think of BTC like gold. With a fixed supply and a variable demand.

that is a weird ad. Hey is that the guy on Cain's staff who made a big deal out of not buying health insurance. He claimed it was some kind of government tyranny. Of course now he has cancer and is 400k in debt. And of course I and other tax payers are stuck with the bill. Freakin hypocrites, what happened to "let him die".
