In primul rand, o clarificare: nu am pus ultimele concursuri pe prima pagina intrucat in momentul in care as fi avut timp sa o fac... deja erau pline.

Merci, NeuroticFish!
882  Economy / Services / Re: [OFNT] [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: September 24, 2023, 04:40:23 PM
Later edit: 5 translators already accepted the new challenge, for Pidgin, Bengali, Filipino, French and Russian languages. So these languages can be excluded as well. (In fact, the Russian translation is already done.)

One more update here: there is also an Indonesian translation in progress, so Indonesian language should also not be considered anymore. dansus021 is doing this translation.

But at the same time, this topic needs to be supported, sometimes publishing some updates regarding the service or the operation of its individual components.

Pardon me, but I remember that some weeks (months?) ago I sent a PM to all translators which translated this topic of mine, just after the issue with Imgur images. I added new image links inside my topic, which were working, and I asked the translators to update the image links from their translations.

From all the translators I contacted, all excepting you replied to me and also updated the links of the images from that thread.

So it does not seems fair to come here and throw accusations to the left and right (although you were not a client of this alliance and, therefore, you were also not prejudiced in any way), while you did exactly what you pointed in the above quote.

No hard feelings, but it just not seems right to act like this.
883  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The call for Julian Assange || The WikiLeaks Manifesto - We all should read it on: September 24, 2023, 08:57:19 AM
Thank you for involving in this thread, Su-asa.

Indeed, all Assange did was to expose the entire truth about all shenanigans made by various governments. And this irritated US very much and tried to do everything to finish him. They are just a bunch of hypocrites, as they headed only for Assange, although he collaborated with various respectful media outlets, such as Guardian, Der Spiegel or New York Times. But US government knew they have no chance to touch any of the journalists from such big media outlets and, if they would ever try it, the press around the work would ruin them. So they threw all their hate towards Julian, as he was more exposed than a journalist from "old-era media outlets". They denied the fact that WikiLeaks was a new form of journalism and decided that he has to pay for all materials published, although same materials were published by other media outlets as well...
884  Economy / Services / Re: [OFNT] [AOBT] The Alliance Of Bitcointalk Translators on: September 24, 2023, 08:47:40 AM
I think it helps to promote services (in this case a P2P service which I think deserves a bit of publicity) to people who don't speak or understand English very well. It's not just the active users of the forum, but also those who come to the topic from a search engine who will benefit from the translations.

This is true. Besides, once users from local boards become aware of such service, they can also contact the service provider directly, in case they have questions which can not be answered by the topic author. And all bitcoiners need more and more KYCless, anonymous and peer 2 peer services in this era, where CEXs infested every country.

I don't think local boards should be underestimated [...]

This is even more true.

Personally, I always keep an eye on my topics, and if anyone has any questions to ask in French about any of the topics I've translated, I'll be happy to answer them, because if I don't believe in the said project, I won't translate their ANN. If I don't have the answer, I can tell them who to contact, and do it for them if necessary.

And this is common sense Smiley When someone writes a topic (be it a translation or something else), it is normal for OP to be involved in the discussion held inside his own topic... So all in all I also believe that helping peer 2 peer exchanges become more popular is a benefit for them and also for all bitcoiners.

Smiley E o observatie foarte corecta.

Oricum, multumesc pentru efort.

Cu placere, oricand. Sper sa fie de folos!

Wow, that was fast! Thank you for the effort, iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2!

I have only 2 small requests though:

- can you add, please, the Russian translation to the top of the topic (just after the link to the Arabic translation)? The link for the Russian translation is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5467744.0.
- very soon, a Pidgin translation will also be published and, at that moment, I will kindly ask you to add that translation too (I will let you know when it's ready).

Thank you in advance Smiley

[...]

888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help me translate my best posts in your Local Board on: September 24, 2023, 08:05:08 AM
Two new translations have been added to OP:

Thank you again, DYING_S0UL and Learn Bitcoin! With your help, all my topics are now translated in Bengali language! And Bengali becomes the fourth language where all my topics are translated (after Polish, Pidgin and Filipino). It was possible only with your amazing efforts and I have not enough words to express my gratitude!

Thank you, GazetaBitcoin, for the opportunity to work with you. It is a great pleasure to work with you. Thanks for the appreciation as well. Of course, you have helped with the merits of the efforts that helped me rank up. The most valuable thing I get from this work is knowledge. When I was translating these topics, There were many goosebumps moments; I scratched my head. I had to change my way of thinking. We never thought this way as the legends thought decades ago. Usually, we avoid long articles only because it will take time to read. But we don't realize that there are many things for us to learn. I have translated those articles and received some replies from the community. I tried to join the discussion after the post so people may ask more questions regarding this. There are many things that everyone should know. But most of the people's main goal isn't learning from BitcoinTalk. I guess you know what the goal is. I am working on another translation, which changes my thinking. I never thought to protest against the government. I never thought they should not control the internet. But they are monitoring our every movement.

You have a healthy thinking, Learn Bitcoin! The pleasure of collaborating was mutual. I am more than happy to know that you learned so much and that you also help others understand all these important aspects I'm talking about in my essays... I know that not many are here to learn, yet those which want to have this possibility. And the merits I sent you are the least I could do for all your efforts. I am also a translator and I know how time consuming this activity is, so I fully appreciate what you did!
889  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 23, 2023, 09:51:01 AM
btw there will be another 17 card raffles and UniJoin can create few more rules Wink

Well... if UniJoin takes this decision there is nothing to do about that and we all will respect it. However, from you earlier post I understood that you are looking for some feedback about the new proposed idea... So I wrote my opinion.

So far 3 feedbacks were provided (by iwantmyhomepaidwithbtc2, by ajiz138 and by me) and, hopefully, more will come Smiley In the end, all these ideas can help for a better organization, right?

893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: September 23, 2023, 08:10:43 AM
I've changed my table and mentioned both versions for now (+ links)

Thanks for this update, 1miau! I also updated the Romanian translation of the topic. However, please don't forget to update also the old version of the table Smiley

Besides, if I may, I would suggest you to make a slight change to this line:

Code:
[td][url=https://btc.usespiral.com/]Spiral[/url] / [url=https://btc.blyss.dev/]Blyss[/url][sup][url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197909.msg62885783#msg62885783] [1][/url][/sup][/td]

You see that space before the "[1]"? This makes the hyperlink add a "_" when hovering the mouse on "[1]" and I think it looks a bit unaesthetic:

See? There's a "_" between the last "s" from "Blyss" and "[1]". We could avoid that unaesthetic "_" by eliminating the space I mentioned above. So that line should look like this:

Code:
[td][url=https://btc.usespiral.com/]Spiral[/url] / [url=https://btc.blyss.dev/]Blyss[/url][sup][url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197909.msg62885783#msg62885783][1][/url][/sup][/td]

Or, alternatively, if you want to be a space between "Blyss" and "[1]", but not the unaesthetic "_", the line could be also changed like this:

Code:
[td][url=https://btc.usespiral.com/]Spiral[/url] / [url=https://btc.blyss.dev/]Blyss[/url] [sup][url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197909.msg62885783#msg62885783][1][/url][/sup][/td]

In this case I eliminated the space between the post link the the "[1]" and I added a space between "Blyss[/url]" and "[sup".

I hope this helps Smiley

The flawless interactions you are receiving from other member is an example to me.

The flawless interactions received from other group members be like:

I'm slightly late. I blame the kids.
I'm 2 seconds late Sad Still better than my average Smiley
I'm late, and as usual I'm blaming the kids Tongue They kept me busy all day so I'm catching up now
I'm sorry for the delay, I had left my computer to spend time with my wife.
my wife confiscated my desk for the evening.

Avem concurs nou!

[FREE RAFFLE] Flashmob for Willis Blockparty [Prices : 30mBTC]
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5467708

Se pot castiga urmatoarele: 0.006 BTC.

Organizator: Turbartuluk

Heads-up: I already found translators which will work on translations for the following languages: Pidgin, Bengali, Filipino and French.

Besides, I also talked to a Russian translator and this translation has already been done: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5467744.0]is already done.

I am still communicating with other translators for even more languages. Stay tuned!
898  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 22, 2023, 06:23:58 PM
but cygan for the next raffle prioritizes the signature campaign, of course all Unijoin participants have a chance if they know that this raffle is for Unijoin participants only [...]

The highlighted part is exactly the issue here, as not all campaign participants would have a chance, lol. Only 16 of them will have that chance, meaning that only 75% of them will actually have a chance.

Otherwise you could use the same method as Krogoth

Indeed, that is a viable alternative. krogoth runs these raffles for a long time now and, although at some point he used to make 16 spots raffles (that was years ago), he later switched to 100 spot raffles and there was no problem if not all spots got filled, because after a week he always announced that he will roll no matter if not all spots are filled... So I believe that this would also be a good alternative if 16 spot raffles will not be chosen.
899  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 22, 2023, 05:34:00 PM
@GazetaBitcoin with the 20 participants i meant the participants in the signature campaign. so there would be the possibility to fill the 16 spots completely with these 20 users Wink

I understand -- and this is exactly what I said: if there are 20 participants and only 16 spots then 4 of them will be left out, right? And this does not seem fair for all, considering that the basic idea was to dedicate the raffle to the campaign participants... For applying such idea, in my opinion, all campaign participants should have a chance, but this can't be done in this case, as they are 20 while the spots are only 16...

This is why I suggested, instead, to allow everybody to participate and make the raffle with only 16 spots. It would look incorrect to say "the raffle is for the campaign participants", considering that not all of them can participate...
900  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: September 22, 2023, 05:24:58 PM
how would you like it, that again 16 spots (a-f & 0-9) are given away and this time only the users can participate, who are also participants in the UniJoin signature campaign from icopress in the current week (in which the raffle starts)?
that would be 20 participants with 16 spots

I am not sure I understand... You want to make a 16 spots raffle, I get that. I also understand that you want to be eligible only the users which are enrolled this week in UniJoin campaign. But then I don't understand the part "that would be 20 participants with 16 spots". 20 users won't fit in 16 spots, right...? So 4 will be left out.

From my perspective I would rather switch again to a 16 spots raffle, as the first raffle was done, but allow everybody to participate. It seems it takes a while to fill a 100 spots raffle but I am sure that a 16 spots one will be filled very fast (first raffle was filled in only 43 minutes).
