881  Economy / Speculation / Re: Close to BIG Breakout. Will it be $7K or $13K? on: September 06, 2019, 09:19:02 PM
bitcoin will drop to level 7000 soon

Nahhh sideways forevah and then it goes booooom to da moon. Been here before... $7k only in a whale flashdump...
882  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought a bitcoin today for 9K and sold when it hit 10K should I Of left it? on: September 06, 2019, 09:15:27 PM
If you are a daytrader then forget about Bitcoin instead find altcoins that fast in moving and not this coin that so slow in providing profit but atleast the assurance is high than alt investing

I prefer steady profits with less risk than potential high rewards which comes with a commensurate risk.
Hence I would rather go for the slow moving bitcoin currency that the faster moving and highly unpredictable altcoin market.
As a day trader, you should be protecting your capital, and a part of that is going for the safest investment option.

An alt coin surge can make you a lot quick but yes it is high risk.
I only do bitcoin and some other stable coins. Currently only some eth.

These 6% dumps are getting really annoying. What is this? Bitmex shorters? Weak hands harvesting 1% profits? This is probably the 20th time in the last 3 months. Geez, these guys can't wait 3-4 days for 100% profit. I mean without those dumps the price should have been at least 20K by now.

Feels like Whack-a-bull....

Exchanges cashing out to pay bills, they say.
Intentionally keeping the price low, they say.

Observing $10.275

CSW cashing out maybe 🤔

If so, then Kleiman's 50% of CSW's Bitcoin stash  Wink

That is what I meant. Just cash out bits every recovery until you have your tax stash.
It wouldn't surprise me if the taxman has given him some time to sell it without crashing the market.

Legends will legend.  Tongue

I'd like to know how you (and fillippone, who's got to have kicked the major assist) did it.
I'm always clueless with WOW games and always eager to learn a neat trick.

This is how I do it...

Look at the picture closely for items that are searchable.
 - Names
 - Patterns
 - Buildings
 - Views
 - etc.

Looked at the upload time which could help... However the date on the paper was different. I therefore knew you had no internet so you were abroad probably...

In your picture we only had a pavement pattern to go with. I learned it was a basket weave.

You run through google with searches like "city square", "city plaza", etc. to see if anything gets close.
Once you are close you can usually figure out the country. Your picture could match anything from portugal to china... (and apparently taiwan Sad)

The pavement pattern is quite unique actually. I only found it at the Chernobyl monument but they were smaller tiles. So a guess was done...
I still believe the first picture might be enough to find the location.

I started looking at your posts and figured out you like football so I ran through pictures of stadiums ...
I looked at locations that one would visit on vacation. Maybe FIFA world cup locations....

All possible suspects are checked via Google Earth streetview...

Once I saw the building I was lost. It looked like a government building. Something official... looked up everything from KGB to NATO headquaters...
The pillars looked substantial so I looked for skyscrapers....
Clothing gave away that it was not Africa nor Siberia  Cheesy
Looked up guard clothing, no dice...
Again nothing and I was more lost than ever...

In the meanwhile I ran all pictures through reverse image search with no hits...

The last picture gave away everything. It was something like China.... anywhere where they write with scribbly stuff Cheesy
Reverse image search gave me 10 hits on the same location of which I could directly see it was the right location....

That is how I did it...

Looks like a railway station? Or a mausoleum?
Not a station. The second guess is close. I've provided a few honest hints already... next, a few more pixels.
The stairs are several decades older than the floor tiles, which look very new. The stairs were not updated on purpose, so history is being commemorated or recognized??

It must be a square/monument somewhere in Hong Kong.
I am depleting my real life to find it...

Good points, both of you. WOers are a smart bunch indeed! Fillippone in particular is almost right on target... (you'll tell me how you did it won't you?)

In fact it's a monument, and as you can now see, I doubt StreetView will help much.

Now for the promised pixels. I think the next taker will nail it.

Cmon d_eddie stop being silly, show us some clues.

Alright alright... sorry guys that's how the pic is  Tongue
There should be some useful visual info here.
Adding a clue: Eastern hemisphere.

Chernobyl?  Cheesy

Found the same pavement pattern there....

That's what happens if you use your full-ass instead of half-ass for predictions...

We seem to be going up....  Wink

Could they be moving the funds as a precaution.
After they move the funds they could sell all the forks that the account has accumulated. This way you cannot do possible replay attacks Huh

More info on twitter feed.
Apart obvious consideration two things strike me:
1.they sent al the funds straight away... I would have tested the setup sending 1 bitcoin to the recipient address.
2. They paid a very elevated fees: nothing changes, but fees are low, why burning cash?

Once you send 1 BTC then your Public Key is known (in the transaction) and you are more hackable...

But yes I wouldn't go YOLO with a billion too unless you consider it pocket change Cheesy

Indeed eddie..... Some more pixels...

But damn the next hour or Maybe bit longer i’ll Be out..... but I don’t mind provide pixels already Cheesy

Or a hint... which timezone or hemisphere would be a nice start...

Here's a new round of the WOW (WO-Where?) game. I think it's going to be fairly difficult, at least until a few pixels are uncovered. However, the WO participants have already proven how good at this they are, so it might be cracked earlier than I imagine.

I have 5 smerits as of now, but I'm setting the prize for this round at a conservative 3 merits because I'm sure a couple of merits will go before I'm done catching up.

Have got no F***ing clue bro Smiley

Neither have I?

Not getting much further than a basket weave pavement pattern.
Somehow I feel a link with soccer...
Thought I got close with Kings Cross in London but no go...

Not much to go on...

Physical silver is not a bad idea. But i like to diversify. I think you can't go wrong if you diversify into physical silver, physical gold and bitcoin.

Now they just "make" diamonds, who knows what other physical rarities are at  risk from clever new science and technologies?

Gold and Silver are elements. They are very hard to make according to 1600 years of alchemy....  Grin
Diamond is just carbon one of the most abundant elements.
898  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are about to hit 8K and below...soon (see charts) on: September 05, 2019, 12:08:14 PM
Op,I'm sad that you are using your whole ass, because it's obvious that your are making price predictions with your ass,not with your brain. Grin
The bitcoin price is moving back and forth in the 9.5-10.5K USD window during the last few weeks. It's common sense to expect that it might crash to 8K USD,because it's obvious that it doesn't have enough support for a big increase.

There is support for an increase however there are also forces holding it back.
The forces holding it back could also be people selling off big amounts of bitcoin slowly so they get the $10k they crave.

IMO it is a correction however not by lowering the price but by waiting for Bitcoin to get back into its "glide" path.
899  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are about to hit 8K and below...soon (see charts) on: September 05, 2019, 11:31:10 AM
Isn't it the Bakkt will start it's warehouse deposit today?

I think this is a good news so I doubt that $8k is going to be the next price level.

So market sentiments is good today, let's see how it will affect the price in the next few weeks to really invalidate that descending triangle and break for a new trading pattern after this one.

According to Coindesk....
On Sept 6, our Warehouse will begin offering secure storage of customer bitcoin to prepare for the launch of Bakkt Bitcoin Daily & Monthly Futures when they launch on Sept 23

Strangely nothing on their site and twitter ....  Huh

John Mcafee is in hospital.

He’s had a history of drug abuse over the years I believe so maybe it’s connected to that, heart attack or something. I know he’s a bit of a figure of fun here but I wish him the best. It’s not good karma to mock people who are ill etc.

+1 I wish him the best too ... he is an uber Bitcoin bull, we need more people like him.
And we want the dickening to happen... (both outcomes are good Wink)
