881  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: May 12, 2023, 11:49:12 PM
I watched the video, and roulette has been rigged by magnets since a long time ago, but I am still not sure if it is rigged in the live games in casinos. I mean, we have seen some high rollers winning big amounts in the past, and when I say big amounts we are talking about bets bigger than $1 million. But on the other hand as the video show, the ball in the game sometimes has a really weird move.

In the end if the game is rigged that means the high rollers should lose, and since we can't see what numbers are they betting then It is still kind of fair for us. We shouldn't worry about our lows bets.
882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: May 12, 2023, 12:38:58 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue

This is a nice call paxmao, and I would like to add some points.

*Do smart gambling and not emotional gambling.
The feeling of a win coming soon is what makes us lose all, and is better to walk away with something than walk away with empty hands.

*Learn how to lose.
Don't let your loss ruin your day, take the loss as an adult and move on in life because to lose is part of gambling and we need to know how to deal with it.

*Gamble to have fun and not to make money.
The money is a consequence, enjoy your bets and have fun while gambling, because playing to chase money could be frustrating.

884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: May 11, 2023, 06:27:57 PM
I feel like this is a trap, even feels like a scam. The fact that some casinos do this is because they don't want the users win or withdraw, and the fun part is that some casinos will ask you for KYC after completing the wager requirement for withdrawal.

Personally I had a terrible experience with fortune jack some weeks ago, when I try to withdraw I find out that the min withdrawal was $150 which isn't cool at all. I mean if they will make it up to $150 then why not do it up to $500, is the same obstacle. The only thing that we can do about it is to leave a bad reputation on the casinos' review sites.
885  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Conocen a alguien que trabaje en blockchain.com ? on: May 11, 2023, 03:52:42 PM

886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is it to keep your bitcoin investments secret from others ? on: May 11, 2023, 03:47:07 PM
Talking about our crypto investments make us a target, and not only from the mafia, the hackers could try to access our coins too, and that's why it isn't a wise move at all. While lower profile we have will be better for us. We have to play it smart.

Some years ago I read a story on the opposite side, a youtube kidnapped a couple and asked for cryptos to let them go, and I don't know how the police trace those bitcoins and find who was responsible, now the guy is on the jail, but the news was all around.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is racist on: May 11, 2023, 02:05:24 AM
So according to them, Bitcoin (and altcoins ofc) creates financial damages to many minority investors because they don't have the knowledge to assess the risks associated with crypto.

In another words, Bitcoin makes them loosing money because people are lazy to learn where they're investing in...
L@@k at FTX and co...

Lmao, this was a fun one.

So, all the ignorant people who buy Bitcoin under $500 and see how it goes over $64k are victims of their ignorance. It's just nonsense. The only ignorant guys are those who don't believe in this technology. So, the people who use bitcoin are not the ignorant ones.

The FTX example is a terrible example because it was a scam, and we can't compare the real cryptos with that one, so, is a weird situation where people believe in new coins that end in scams but don't believe in the old coins who already prove to be legit.
888  Local / Español (Spanish) / Re: Atascado! no, ¿atascado? si, no confirmado. on: May 10, 2023, 04:43:04 PM

889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer Original Slots or slots from 3rd party Slot providers? on: May 10, 2023, 02:20:36 PM
I think there is a big difference between both because while 3rd party slots operate under a licence, the originals are provably fair, and while the 3rd party slots have a RTP the Originals have a house edge.

But based on the gambling experience I like it more the third party games because the game dynamics just feels better, they are funnier and more enjoyable, personally I like the ELK provider, and I have gotten some nice wins in Nitropolis 3 and Tropicool.

The only thing that I don't like about 3rd party slots is that we can't verify each spin.
890  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Way to Send Bitcoin without Internet [Theoretical Idea] on: May 09, 2023, 07:09:23 PM
In the past years i have read about different ways that people spend bitcoins without Internet, ways like SMS or even Radio. And people still trying to find new was for it.

Personally is have think about a way that is not the best one, at least it should work but trust is a must. I'm talking about using paper wallets as bills, let's say you make multiple paper wallets with 0.001 btc each one, if no one reden the privatekey then it works like a 0.001 btc bill.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has become un-useable. Switch to altcoins or short sell on: May 09, 2023, 06:23:33 PM
i don't think un-useable is the right word. The blockchain is stable, it has the blocks in time and with the right fees your transaction will be confirmed in the next block. But talking about the right fees is talking about close to $30/transaction which really sucks. But is the price to pay when there are more than 400k unconfirmed transactions. And totally agree about using altcoins is a good option now.

During this series, I amazed on how mr.allin was playing.

Thanks jayce, when I play poker I like to bet in probability and not in the hands. Always have in mind the chances to win and the chance that other guys calls my hands. But Is poker, even if the odds are on your side that doesn't means you will win the hand, luck is a must.

And other basic rules that I follow when playing in poker tournaments are, to play only the 10% or less of your hands, and bet only in hand that you are ready to go all in with.

I hope all the users enjoy it as much as I did. So, congrats again to all the Winners. And I hope to see more poker community games soon!
