881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to collect altcoins now or later? on: September 20, 2023, 09:26:45 PM
It depends on which altcoins you mean.

Try looking for undervalued altcoins with strong teams and backgrounds. You don't even have to hunt for something entirely new; you can still make good money by investing in altcoins from emerging Layer 1 (L1) projects like decentralized exchanges (DEXs), NFT marketplaces, casinos, and others. These often grow much faster compared to the main layer.

And for those you want to say, there are 1000's of base projects, all i want to say, is that if any anon land into a new layer and looking for use the chain they will probably use these 3.

I've already made a life changing money by this "tactic",  although it's simple, it requires patience and self-belief as you wait for your coins to reach your target price.

And yes, there are still many Layer 1 platforms with potential, and within them, numerous projects that can help you earn big $.
Whether it was from Layer 1 or not, it still depends on the choice of altcoins and also on how we manage it and the strategies. If we can make a buy a cheaper price and are able to sell them high, profit will certainly come. In fact, many people invested in known coins, and yet, they still suffered losses due to mismanagement of funds and also of uncontrollable emotions.
Well, taking the opportunity of buying while the market is corrections seems to be our ticket to earn more but as I said, that will depend on the project we choose.
882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 20, 2023, 01:26:59 PM
Casimero training update:

Casimero's promoter have sent to Ormoc City where the latter lives two high level sparring partner as the training has intensified since the fight will be in less than a month from now. Gauging on the video, Casimero is almost there, he hits very hard and that hook if touches Oguni;s chin, i think he would fall to the canvas.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6eEtMFMt210&ab_channel=QuadroAlasit%E2%80%99smyboy

Thanks for sharing his training video. There's no doubt about Casimero's power, and I'm sure he keeps improving every day. His timing is really good; he doesn't throw a lot of punches, but his counterpunches are very dangerous. It's great to see him training hard for this fight. Despite Oguni not being as popular as him, he still didn't underestimate him. I think he really wants to prove the doubters wrong and win this by KO.

I also saw a video on Facebook about his trainer, who is Japanese, feeling the power of Casimero even while wearing protective equipment for his body. Casimero and Inoue have different styles of boxing, but both are effective in their own way, so it's really interesting to see which method will prevail.

I apologize for diverting the discussion, but it seems that despite Inoue and Casimero having their respective fights, we keep steering the conversation towards Inoue vs. Casimero because it's more interesting to watch now.
883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 20, 2023, 02:29:51 AM
But then again, it will have to defend his belt against the former champion Ancajas. Jerwin might have a good chance to win as Takuma is not well known to be a puncher like his brother. And Ancajas might have adjusted to 118 lbs already after his 9 successive wins at 115 lbs and most likely he had a hard time making that weight that's why he has back to back loses.

This is a fight that has fans split 50/50. There isn't a clear superior boxer in this matchup, not even the reigning champion. Jerwin has held the championship before, so he's no stranger to this situation. I'm confident he will give it his all, train diligently, and employ a smart strategy to regain his championship. In the bantamweight division, there aren't many vastly superior champions, so if Jerwin wins, he could find more success here, possibly even in an undisputed bout.
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 20, 2023, 01:59:23 AM
There was so much excitement about their return to Gilas Pilipinas, and now it seems there are significant problems that have arisen. I must admit, I've lost interest in watching their games. It's challenging to find players who can bring the same level of energy to the floor as Abueva and Romeo.
Well, they've just shown the pool and many of them are interesting players as well. But it's just a different vibe and aura if it's with Terrence Romeo and Calvin Abueva. We have to admit that and that's not the same energy from the recent Gilas that we've seen. Just another sad day that we thought that we'll see them play and represent our country again.

Especially Terrence Romeo, I believed he should have been the next Jason Castro of the team, but due to injuries and possibly not being favored by Coach Chot in the past, he missed some opportunities. Their absence has dampened our excitement, and it was already extinguished when it was announced that they were ineligible. We can only hope that the final squad selected will bring back some excitement to the games, so we won't be bored while watching.
885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are new cryptocurrency projects a viable investment choice? on: September 19, 2023, 09:41:40 PM
However, it's important to remember that new cryptocurrency projects carry inherent risks. While they do offer the potential for substantial profits, they are also susceptible to volatility and uncertainties in the market. Therefore, before considering any investment, it's advisable to do thorough research, assess the project's fundamentals, and consult with experts in the field to make an informed decision.

You're right. Well, I believe that you've done research about the said project, and asking you what you think, is this can be trusted or worthless?

And whatever you said, still I don't easily fall into trusting new projects. Why? I will stand believing that most of them are scams. Though they will show promising project fundamentals, good whitepaper, and big names behind them, still no assurance for their success, and most of the time fail because of the lack of support from the community.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 19, 2023, 01:24:08 PM
Okay, so there's been a media conference a while ago made by the Gilas management and they've made sure that Terrence Romeo and Calvin Abueva were certainly out as their petition to add them to the roster wasn't granted. Also, the list of the 60 players in the Gilas pool was also released. (https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/09/19/23/look-sbp-unveils-initial-pool-of-players-for-asiad)

I didn't read the full story, so are you saying that Calvin and Romeo are not part of the final roster? This is quite disappointing. There was so much excitement about their return to Gilas Pilipinas, and now it seems there are significant problems that have arisen. I must admit, I've lost interest in watching their games. It's challenging to find players who can bring the same level of energy to the floor as Abueva and Romeo.
887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No KYC vs KYC enabled casinos (Facts you need to know) on: September 19, 2023, 07:56:05 AM
KYC casinos have easier account recovery? Are you kidding me? I have heard hundreds horror stories of gamblers being blocked from KYC casinos and with funds in their accounts. There wasn't any account recovery afterwards.
KYC casinos are regulated, while the others are not. When it comes to the possibility of recovering your funds, KYC casinos offer a better chance because they operate under government regulations. If you encounter issues with a regulated site, you can file a case against them, and they will be obligated to pay you if you win. In contrast, non-KYC casinos typically have anonymous owners, making it difficult to pursue legal action if they mistreat you.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 19, 2023, 07:09:58 AM
$63 million during Magic Johnson's time was already a fortune compared to the current era. In the past, there weren't as many temptations to spend your money, so if a player earned a substantial amount, they could end up wealthy even after retirement. Nowadays, even with NBA players earning massive contracts, there's still a possibility that they could face financial difficulties, as seen in cases like Delonte West who became homeless.
That's how it goes; the world is evolving rapidly, and that pace of change has contributed to a decrease in our life expectancy due to the stress of modern life. This experience is something that can affect anyone, but it's especially challenging for those who receive a substantial amount of money. While that amount might seem like enough to live comfortably, poor financial management could lead to the worst possible outcome—homelessness. Interestingly, there is a player, not in the NBA, who is worth almost $1 billion with his contract. It's quite a staggering number to consider.

889  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will reach all-time-high before halving. - BitQuant on: September 18, 2023, 09:40:19 PM

What BitQuant is saying is that before the next halving, bitcoin will reach all-time-high but it will not be the all-time-high before a massive bear market will begin again. That bitcoin will later still increase up to $250000 after halving, which would be the all-time-high.

I know some of you people will agree that bitcoin may reach $250000. What about bitcoin to reach all-time-high before halving? As for me, I do not think so and the all-time-high I am predicting is $170000.
Nothing wrong with that speculation but nothing wrong as well with not believing it because we are all don't have a clue as to what will happen next. In fact, we never have seen an ATH come before halving in the past 2 halvings, it was after the said event. So, I'm not going to believe it rather than believe what I saw in the previous years. If I'm wrong, I accept but I stand with that because that is what happened in the past and even to say that the market has changed a lot, is still not enough.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are trading bots worth using in the cryptocurrency trading? on: September 18, 2023, 09:12:57 PM
Any bot requires human adjustment. If you do not control the bot's trades, you will lose your deposit. A bot cannot analyse trend changes, but it can monitor volumes, buys and sells. That's why you need to change some settings regularly, and it's better to do everything yourself.
And it was useless to use trading bots if we never knew about trading which is why I encourage newbies to just invest their time learning trading first rather than buying these bots. I see many people misunderstand how these trading bots work as they think that it works alone but it lies on our hands instead. Meaning, if we are not yet good at trading, we can't also expect good results for this. It was not reasonable enough to acquire this thing if we were incapable enough to do it in actual trade.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My passion on bitcoin on: September 18, 2023, 11:55:07 AM
Believe what you think is right OP. Many people have come and invested in Bitcoin, so I don't think we just ignore it while seeing a lot of people are already involved in this. As long as you can afford to take risks and understand how it works, investing in Bitcoin is a great idea. Volatility is not a problem and perhaps, it was important because this will be the reason why we become profitable as we take the opportunity of buying low and are able to sell them high. It was not just we have a passion for doing this but it is all about how we strategies our investment.
892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: September 15, 2023, 09:29:09 PM
In my opinion, I think referral bonuses are typically waste of one's time because of its processes that seems so impossible to claim and recently I came across a thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5437603.0 seeking for Casinos with paid referral bonuses and I tool out time to read most of the responses there and they all seem impossible to claim referral bonuses.
I wish to know if anyone has successfully claimed referral bonuses and how easy was the process and what Casino did you claim those bonuses

Referral bonuses are not meant to become an income stream by themselves, at least not the refer a friend type that is most familiar to regular players, who are able to earn a little bit of extra cash on. The real money given out by casinos and bookmakers for referrals will come from "affiliate programs" that are usually not even linked to on their main website, but you'll find them when searching separately. That is how they draw in extra players from all sorts of different sources. The advertisers who run affiliate marketing campaigns are usually working on huge volumes of traffic and doing calculations of conversions where they might only make a few cents per thousand visitors, but if they can find enough it adds up to big profits.
Perhaps, it was considered as additional income but not actually the reason why people are gambling. Based on my experience, it is quite pretty small who use referrals because most of them prefer to register directly to the site. Of course, it was not a waste of time unless you were totally focusing on it rather than enjoying gambling. That is why I don't take this seriously, if someone we're able to use then that is good.
893  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit withdrawal pending for over 16 hours on: September 15, 2023, 03:31:48 PM
my withdrawal is still pending. I have talked to 2 agents but nothing is resolved yet. Im trying to withdraw $996 and have withdrawn $974 before but it didnt take this long. I didnt win this money, I deposited it. 6 hours ago an agent said ''The withdrawal queue has now been processed'' but im still waiting.

I suggest you wait for 24 hours before taking any action. There's a reason why some withdrawals are delayed. You mentioned that you deposited it, but did you wager the funds you deposited? If you did, then your funds will likely be released if you haven't violated any of their terms of service. However, if you didn't wager the funds, there might be a wagering requirement for every gambling site. In that case, you'll need to meet that requirement before you can withdraw the funds.
894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 15, 2023, 02:09:35 PM

It's totally different though in the US specially in boxing since they have a lot of good fighters, and countries like Mexico, Puerto Rico or even Philippines really support their boxers no matter what.
So I do agree that Mexico is still behind Canelo even if others think that he is sliding down a bit, just like Manny Pacquaio during his reign.
There will be time that Father time will caught up with this legendary boxers, but still the fans and the whole nation will be behind them.
As for Crawford, he will have his die hard fans, just like what they show in the Spence fight.
And some of them might be keyboard warriors too. But we will have to wait what will be the results of Canelo vs Charlo fight first.

I think keyboard warriors are not real fans. I don’t know how people are going to react to this statement of mine. But I think those who understand will understand. And those people who are going to be opposing of this idea of mine, are going to be the keyboard warriors. They are just capable of trash talking on "X", nothing else. So I don’t think the keyboard warriors are actually real fans.

I think Canelo is going to win against Charlo. Of course, this is not 100% certain. But I think that is going to be the end result of that fight.

For me they are real fans, I mean they want to argue with anyone thru their keyboards, even with boxers themselves. I remember that Crawford is replying to some die hard fans of Spence after he beat him.

They saying that Spence had and coming from an injury and that he is weight drain. Of course you will have to understand this keyboard warrior fans, but sometimes it's just so ridiculous to argue with them.

Some fans may not accept the defeat of their fighter, so they'll keep making excuses, but that's normal. Eventually, they will be able to move on; it's just hard when it's still fresh. Crawford has already proven himself by beating Spence through TKO. Now, he is full of confidence and wants to fight another champion. He even aims to move up higher just to face Canelo. I think he really wants to make history of his own, so this kind of boxer is the one that has to be appreciated, as he doesn't cherry-pick opponents but instead fights the best.
895  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't look for investment, just hodle! on: September 15, 2023, 12:53:44 PM
Most of us misunderstand investment because what is their mind is that after buying they could make a profit already. But it was not how an investment works because aside from knowing how to buy, we also know how to hold which I really see that most of us had failed to do, especially for doubtful people.  Because we are not a trader but an investor which means that we are not earning today but in the future. But if we think this will never work on us, then better not call ourselves an investor as we don't look like that.
I see people that cannot hodli their bitcoin investment for long term as traders because like you said an investment is something that yields profit in a long term and not in a short term. Trading is very risky than hodling, and you can also run at loss when you are not patient with the price movement of bitcoin. Personally, i will say that it is greed that makes people think that bitcoin trading will give them millions overnight without learning the strategy behind trading. I believe that most investors here knows that long term investment is the best but they are doubting the faith that they have in bitcoin which makes them look for little profit rather than waiting for the bull run to come.
That is what they get from following social media influencers who are promoting trading sites which makes their viewers/listeners to think that there is easy money in trading while disregarding the risk that awaits them. So many people have fallen into such promises (instant profit/quick returns) where it was out of reality. It is not only greedy people who fall into this kind of trick but many newbies as well who thought that trading would be a shortcut to success and becoming rich. After all, many of them felt regret when they tried it.
896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Gambling Strategies on: September 15, 2023, 11:08:15 AM
I'll go with option number 1, as it demonstrates how disciplined you are as a gambler. To win in sports betting, you need consistency, and sticking to a fixed amount of bets as long as you win most of the time will eventually make you profitable. What I mentioned is the bankroll strategy. Regarding the last option, going against the public can work most of the time if you know where the public bets are heading.
897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 15, 2023, 10:31:31 AM

Anyone has seen this podcast? It's about Giannis reiterating that he might leave the Bucks to search for a team that will give him championships,

https://twitter.com/RossGeiger/status/1701592311392797006

"I'm a Milwaukee Buck, but most importantly I'm a winner… If there is a better situation for me to win the Larry O'Brien I have to take that better situation.”

And with that, I think Giannis will leave the Bucks after this contract has ended and as what we have discussed already, might be looking for teams like the Warriors,  Grin
Not the Warriors again  Grin Grin.

Anyway, in this current era, championship are far more valuable than loyalty already. You can be loyal to a team, but the team can't be loyal to you. On the other hand, if you win a title, people will think of that even more than you being loyal to a team. TBH, it's a good choice by Giannis, and knowing how many teams will be interested in him, for sure those top teams might free up some salary cap just to get him.

As for the Warriors getting him, I just hope that it will not happen because that will just destroy the competition of the league like what happened when KD joined them.

Even if you are playing well for a team, and not being able to win trophies/championships, I don’t think the team is actually going to think that you are valuable. They were always trying to look for a better deal and a better player who might bring them the championship that they wanted. So even for a player, it is better to be ready for something like that to happen if he is not playing in the team what the team wants. And for a player of that caliber, he is definitely going to get other teams. The thing is if you are not being able to bring championships but still playing well, your own team might not be interested in you but the other teams are definitely going to be interested.

The ultimate goal of NBA teams is to win a championship, so it's not surprising that they seek the best players to increase their chances of winning. While they can still be profitable with their best players who can compete and potentially make the team better, winning a championship is a different level of achievement. Team chemistry is built over time, and players also improve, as can be seen with the Nuggets and their approach.
898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: September 15, 2023, 08:39:30 AM
Privacy is a necessary feature in my opinion, but why hasn't Monero become a main coin?

Maybe Due to lack of demand and market correction it has not yet recovered, but if those who already understand what Monero is, they will happily continue collecting and accumulating to this day.

It was not just MAYBE as it was the real thing that happened with Monero as people didn't see it as a valuable asset that could give them a huge profit.
As an investor, I don't just look for privacy but for an ROI which definitely I can't find it with Monero so why do I have to choose this project which in fact there is Bitcoin that really suits my goal? Practically speaking, despite the fact that Monero gives privacy, unfortunately, it was not the thing that most of us wanted to see which makes them ignore this coin.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin kwoledge is not complete without bitcoin investment on: September 15, 2023, 01:45:02 AM
bitcoin knowledge is the acquisition of information, investing is a different thing and could be considered as actually applying what you have learned in the real world. Sure there are ways you can get around this, one could be demo accounts that emulate the market status and all that, but the self-gratification and glory that you would feel from actually earning money from your investments/learnings is inarguably indispensable, it beats any form of feeling in the world as a trader.

It took me a while to actually muster the courage and invest, I've been eyeing the market for a while way back in 2015, it took me a couple of months to actually buy bitcoins for myself/hold whatever bitcoins I have at hand.
We learn or acquire knowledge about Bitcoin for some reason and one is to invest soon when have money. Indeed, it was an application of what we've learned. While Bitcoin gains popularity, it also attracts people to know more about this stuff and then start to buy. I can say not really have to invest after knowing Bitcoin but I think we just see it without doing anything knowing that we already have knowledge about this. Not totally a waste of time but we can ask ourselves also why I'm doing this if we don't try either.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: September 14, 2023, 09:43:11 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.

There are many coins that get delisted from good exchanges because their volume decreases and investors decrease, the main reason being poor development progress.
Today's token developers see cryptocurrency as a business, they are willing to spend big money to list it but there is no real use for their project and they don't build a community so it's no surprise that their tokens are not attractive to traders and investors.  why the cryptocurrencies that are in the top 200 have survived to this day, because these tokens have big supporters, smart developers will definitely see that a good community will be able to make the cryptocurrencies they circulate successful.
Well, they spend more money because the return of their investment is also huge if ever they get approved and listed to known exchanges. If that is the only way, they should take it as well. Developers think that exchanges have a huge impact on bringing their project to success and they see that getting into big exchanges, the more it gains popularity and fame. However, many projects had also delisted from big exchanges due to low demand, it was a set of criteria that developers must have to work out as well.
