THIS JUST IN: The hamster that replaced the hamster that ran the MtGox servers is also dead.  Hamsters from remote regions of France are being flown in as we speak.
902  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 08:29:13 PM
Sigh, it's like once a week we have to deal with this bear temper-tantrum. Yawn.
903  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 07:32:42 PM
Wow, someone is really invested in not seeing BTC get to $100.  Jokes on him though.

I would love the joke being on him. He's probably hoping to trigger one final dip before 100 to get cheaper coins.

At best he'll be buying back his coins at a premium.  Hurp-a-derp-a-derp

MEANWHILE: The hamster that runs the MtGox servers is dead. The hamster is expected to replaced shortly.

That a real epic drag man.

Quick look shows both bid and ask depth increasing.  Looks like we are going to have a slug fest over the mid-90s.  The numbers still favor the bulls though, so the bears will (once again) fight a losing fight that no one understands.

Hmmm... could be. But it's also the start of a long weekend. If we end the weekend Monday evening anywhere above 80, next week will be epic.

Also, if we can go another weekend with out some idiot trying to dump everything and pushing the price down $30 in one go it'll be more epic.  I think a lot of people are sitting hoping for another chance to buy super cheap.

There are over 800+ people watching clark moody stream right now, most I have ever seen by a lot...

People hoping to see the break past $100?  I hate to tell them, but prob won't happen until sometime past midnight Eastern. The American bears are to concerned with selling early to allow it during their prime time.

Bitcoin cares little for your charts. Bitcoins does what it wants! Tongue

I saw this article earlier and it made me rage so hard I couldn't even bring myself to post it here.

Is there any way to start earning BTC's, besides mining?

Buy Litecoins

I think he's looking for good advice.  LTC is only for buying BTC, so it's kinda just like a longer route to the same goal.
912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 03:31:28 PM
Actually there is quite a lot you can already buy with bitcoins at the moment.

BitcoinStore, Mega, Reddit, Wordpress, Amazon fulfillment integration, Gold, Silver, etc.

And we are only just getting started.

Heh, it's funny because you think that's a lot. If that's a lot, how do you characterize every other commodity and currency?

Exactly. It's only the beginning.  Thanks for agreeing.
913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 03:23:23 PM
I could play it the same way.

Yea, but you did a terrible job at it :/
914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 03:11:21 PM
The only arguments I see are this:

Bull: Bitcoin has vast potential.  It is beginning to reach that potential, thus price increase.  Potential as store of value. Potential as money transmitter. Potential as international currency.  Potential for money laundering.  Also, the increase in publicity is introducing bitcoin's uses to a whole new global audience.  Not just it's current trade price, but actual value and uses.

Bear: Bubble because.

I have yet to see anything out side of this.

Is it too late?

It's never too late.

What evidence is there to suggest that the price will continue skyrocketing like it has been?

Continue awareness among the world, positive news, more business coming online that use BTC.

Buy them with fiat.  Start a BTC business.  Exchange other goods/services with people for BTC.  As you can tell in my sig, I do video editing for people.  Back in summer 2012 a user paid me 5 BTC (like, 25 bucks at the time) to edit a video.  That 5 BTC is now worth almost 500 dollars Cheesy  Plus, that user got his video. The bitcoin economy got that much stronger as well.
916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do any of the models apply? on: March 28, 2013, 02:40:57 PM

Lolololol.  So this has become the best argument?  Not discussing the fundamentals or potential of bitcoins.  Not discussing new user base and new companies that are using bitcoin.  Bitcoins do not equal stocks or mutual funds. Bitcoins do not equal beanie babies.  Get over it.
917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Guys... on: March 28, 2013, 01:43:33 PM
Buy some Litecoin with your BTC  Cheesy

Well, since LTC is only good for buying BTC that seems to be doing it backwards.
918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 28, 2013, 12:52:58 PM
The number 1 reason that BTC will increase in value:

Quote from: Businessweek
...with a market cap of $864 million, all of it is worth less than what Facebook (FB) paid for Instagram

Bitcoin is worth far, far more than some sh*tty program that allows hipsters to take pictures of food and was programed in about 15 seconds.
919  Economy / Speculation / Re: i'm torn. what would you do? on: March 28, 2013, 12:43:09 PM
My suggestion is that sell a portion of your coins if you are torn about the situation. Don't sell everything but holding everything is not necessarily the best plan either.

I think when we're talking about 3 BTC, holding may be the best plan as well.

Also, has OP looked into actually SPENDING btc? Might be worth their while...

ITT: Some guy wants you to sell you his coin for discount.
