901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you like 0% house edge casino games? on: March 16, 2017, 02:24:19 PM
I think the site will not survive for long term except they rigged the bet without being notice or the site has massive capital to survive
Player who like 0% HE must re-think before they got scam on the future.
You are right because any casino offering zero or negative edge are likely to scam or something is fishy there. I can understand when a casino offers this as a promotional period but always then surely is something wrong.
Moreover how many of us when gamble 1 bitcoins lose 0.01 only ?

I guess none and that shows that it's not just the edge that makes us loose, rather gambling itself makes us loose no matter how big or small is the edge.

well there are always promotional campaigns any casino can do, but most of the time they are new casinos that want to attract more users and there is nothing wrong or shady about it. i think you already know this part.

but also even if they continue doing it i don't think there is anything wrong with it. the edge is just an "edge" not the only reason house wins. the house always wins because majority of the gamblers are pretty bad at it and on top of that they are also greedy. and greed is simply leading to a guaranteed house win.
902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apart from network effect, what does bitcoin have going for it right now? on: March 16, 2017, 02:16:15 PM
The community is close to civil war,  you can't implement even the slightest changes without months of debate,  bitcoin is extremely slow,  with ever increasing transaction costs.

when money is involved you can not make rash decisions. taking time is actually a good thing and debates are good too but as long as they are constructive not juvenile attacking of the other team with your eyes closed to everything else.

Quote
I was debating with my Dad about it and he said it's now an investment vehicle only.

not yet it isn't but we may see it happen not so far away.

Quote
But the ETF has just been denied.

ETF had nothing to do with bitcoin. it was a third party setting up a third party way of investing through them.
bitcoin is still what it was. and even if ETF were approved still the rest of the world didn't have ETF!

Quote
I think bitcoin now has a lost identity and other coins are going to be right up your asses within a year or two.

you are wrong.
and no altcoin can even come close to bitcoin. and this is still true even with all the crap that is going on these days Smiley

Quote
So I ask the serious question :   Apart from network effect, what does bitcoin have going for it right now?

the same thing as always, more adoption, increasing price, more traders trading it and more FUD coming out every day.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I never made any profits in dice game.. whats is your opinion on: March 15, 2017, 03:35:10 PM
Yup, me too. Not because it's fixed *although I think most are* but because of the negative house edge. if you play regularly then you are very likely to lose and not make profit overtime.
Dice is for fun and you should play it that way, I would not be surprise if you will lose more money chasing bets in dice there are games that based on luck and your luck will only give you a temporary win while in the long run you will still lose. For me, it's more on the fun that on  profit and your best chance to be profitable is when you hit a big payout and completely quit for good.
I cannot find any reason why dice is fun? Roll the dice - see the outcome - the end of game story.
Which part do you think makes dice fun? While playing card games such as poker is required some skills and really fun with an assorment of cards make we have to counting and predicting other player card and make a call , that part makes poker fun.

you say all these things about card games as positive attributes and i completely agree with that part but also you are forgetting that the same attributes are also negative ones about these types of game.
for example you can not play them anywhere, lets say on a bus to work or a quick roll for fun and spending time. also you need to "think" and that means it is not easy to play and people are mostly looking for an easy game to play not something that is hard and time consuming that looks like work instead of game Smiley
904  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it possible for us to hack some gambling sites? on: March 15, 2017, 03:26:21 PM
I have this weird things in my head, when i play gambling games like hacking the website and take all the bitcoin that i bet and their bitcoin they put in the website.. also every time lose i think about this kind of stuff hacking gambling websites is it possible for us? how can we manage to do it? is it really that secure?

i can't quite understand what your questions is!
are you asking about a way so that "you" can hack the casino and steal their money?
or
are you asking if it is possible that someone else hacks the casino like they hacked exchanges and take their money?

for the first one, nobody is going to help you and you are a dishonest person if that is what you are asking.

but if it is the second question, then the answer is yes. anything is possible. it can be a weakness in their security system or it can even be a simple social engineering attack because of a employee's fault. and as long as the casino is an honest business you don't need to worry much, they most probably will pay their players back.
905  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: March 15, 2017, 03:19:45 PM
the only things that can keep bitcoin price stable are more adoption and a better orderbook on exchanges which will happen after more adoption.

i say more adoption because the more people adopt bitcoin and start using it the more strength it gains and it can not easily go up and down. this also means the order books will be packed with orders and selling a big amount can not make much of a difference because there is a lot of resistance on each price. as a result this will eliminated a lot of the manipulations.
906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cold Staking a 'must have feature' moving forward for all PoS? on: March 14, 2017, 11:08:43 AM
i am no expert in this matter but isn't "staking" and the reward you get from it because of running the wallet and actually contributing to the network!

in any case i think this is a "must not" have because that means the rich get richer and the poor get negligible amounts.
also on top of that when you give away "free coins" which in this case are free coins for just hodling, you are increasing the supply and consequently the sell pressure on the market and crashing the price. and in the end it is as if you didn't give any reward at all.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Whether anyone believe???? on: March 14, 2017, 11:01:19 AM
Whether you believe if you Continuously Buying The same number, one day you can win the lottery. there i read some stories much people can being rich by using this way.

this falls under the category of "superstitions in gambling"!
when you participate in a lottery game you have a very small chance of winning. and the bigger the lottery game gets the lower the chance of you winning will be. this means for example if you are talking about a lottery to make you rich, then you have a tiny chance of winning.
and since with a low chance of winning, people lose a lot, they start to get desperate and think of other supernatural ways Smiley but if you think about it, that shouldn't work.
908  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see $1300 again? on: March 14, 2017, 10:44:32 AM
15 march chinise exchanges are coming back and will be some statment from Central Bank, rather neutral
It can be financial turmoil ,becouse UK rejected law to protect EU citzens,it may cause hard Brexit,Brexit is very positive for digital currencys and French and Dutch election is coming,so beter ask when btc will reach 2000$ it can be even in late April, look crypto prices,Dash,ETH,Monero are on high, even Peercoin and Namecoin gain, looks like dogecoin pump is coming, there is big demand on crypto

these things can go either way, it can be a cause of rise or a cause of drop. we are not yet ready for $1300 and price is very good at the current rate between $1210 to $1250 and it can even lead to a long accumulation and eventually after at least 2 weeks we see the $1300 be tested,

and also all those altcoins you named are being pumped like always, it has nothing to do with bitcoin price.
909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF: Better rejected or approved? on: March 14, 2017, 10:38:11 AM
The fact that it took four years for the SEC to still disapprove bitcoin would already put bitcoin in the radar among investors. They had to turn it down for some reasons but that might change a few years from now when bitcoin is already at a very high price. People from SEC will be singing to a different tune once they see that bitcoin is really a great investment for the long term.

i hope you know that they didn't reject "bitcoin" they rejected "winklewoss ETF" and these two are different!
they didn't accept the proposal that those guys had to add their ETF and it has nothing to do with bitcoin itself and whether SEC approves of bitcoin or not. and this means even if bitcoin price goes up high, they sill are going to reject that ETF!

911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Questions about nodes on: March 10, 2017, 01:13:40 PM
if you have shitcoins then just store them on an exchange wallet, and also be very careful when using Yobit, they are shady and also their wallets are 80% dead. this means if you plan on making a deposit when the coins is getting pumped there may not be a wallet on yobit to deposit these coins in! and they usually disable deposits when they are pumping a coin so no one can mess with it.

i don't understand what you said about nodes, it was a very strange definition!
a Node is a computer that is running that cryptocurrency wallet and contains the whole blockchain of that wallet.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: March 10, 2017, 01:01:05 PM
Any investment makes sense as long as you are getting at least some profits. You can make many of small investments and if all of them bring you you something you can be rich in a long term.

i completely agree and actually wanted to say the same things. many people are too hard on themselves when it comes to investment specially when they have small amount of money.
any investment that has certain number of factors is good:
- it has to be legit
- it has to be profitable
- it has to have clear risks
if these three are clear to you and that business is accepting your amount of money then do not hesitate to invest. and as a beginner it is even better to invest with smaller amounts so that you are risking small money and gaining some experience in the process.
913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy, Sell, or just watch on: March 10, 2017, 12:54:21 PM
bitcoin is a rising technology and will continue growing because it is being adopted and we have a very large number of new people to still adopt bitcoin. and compared to this number the amount of coins available is very limited and whenever the adoption grows, the price goes even higher.

so to answer your question: you should only buy and then buy and then buy some more.
and whenever there is a big dip like the recent dip you should buy even more than before because these chances only happen once or twice in your life.
914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I exchange one BTC for one month of labor? on: March 10, 2017, 12:40:25 PM
this has been discussed in the past too. people talking about is it even possible to only life of bitcoin and get paid in bitcoin and only use bitcoin. and it may become possible in the future but not yet.
it is not enough for one person to fully go bitcoin but the rest of the world have to do that too.
and not to mention the volatility. as the article also says, that always is a deal breaker when it comes to wanting to receive money. if you wanted to keep it long term it wouldn't have mattered though.
915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next halving scheduled for 26 June 2020 on: March 07, 2017, 06:08:52 AM
By that time $4000 per bitcoin will sound cheap. And today people are hesitant to invest at just $1200, go figure...

this is what i always say.
some day i will go through my post history and dig them out. like when price was above $400 and people were saying "it is too expensive" and asking "should i buy now" and i kept saying this is super cheap and they laughed at me when price fell below $400 because of FUD back then.
916  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is trading *not* gambling? on: March 07, 2017, 06:04:16 AM
How different is trading from just gambling? I know there seems to be a  big difference with technical analysis and whatnot, but in the end aren't you just betting on something completely random?
Trading Can Never Be Same as Gambling Because Gambling is Just a Shit Game Based on Your Luck and You Don't Need any Technical Knowledge and Experience in it But On the Other Hand In Trading You Need to Use Your Knowledge and Experience to Make Profit From Your Invested Money.......
All of the traders are betting on the 11 march, and will it become the good day or bad day for all of the bitcoin users. I think there is a little chance the trading be compliance with gambling. This is a fact.

your facts come from wrong sources, and i believe you have to stop reading bad comments on this forum and most of the social media that everyone spam posts.
"All traders" are not even concerned about ETF and 11 March! in fact ETF is not even that big a deal. it is only some who want to take advantage of the situation who use any kind of news to milk it as much as they can.
in case of ETF, it really isn't big. there are many bigger news that are slipping away without anyone even noticing.

for example have you even checked the trading volume coming from India? did you know they are on a bitcoin-buying-frenzy for at least 6 month?
917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for dice from faucet on: March 07, 2017, 05:50:08 AM
...And i've seen players wining big from faucet.
interesting.
where did you see these players and did you ask them what strategy they use?

What do you think, what is best strategy to use and win from faucet (since this is not actually your money and you can't lose it)?

no strategy is going to work with faucet.
generally speaking strategies in dice are so rare and do not work 100% and when you are playing with faucet since your bankroll is small lots of the strategies stop working all at once.

but since it is gambling you can never rule out luck. you can put the multiplier on a big number and roll, you may win a big amount from nothing and then work from there.
918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Major DUMP incoming due to upcoming BUChina hardfork on: March 07, 2017, 05:32:50 AM
aww.
there there my friend. did you sell your coins too soon? you have my sympathy...

next time make better decision about your selling price choices.
919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are dice sites reliable? on: March 05, 2017, 11:37:59 AM
From my experiences gambling sites are reliable but You never know what can happen so cautious! It is based on luck though if that's what you asking Smiley

dice sites and all the games similar to dice are easy to trust because of provably fair system but not other types of games are the same.
for example when you play poker online you can never be sure if you are playing a fair game or you are playing against someone who already sees your hand!
920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: best gambling/casino?? on: March 05, 2017, 11:29:50 AM
i have not yet personally decided which gambling site is the best for sports betting there are multiple one of them available and you can see the list that Panjul gave you the link to.
but my opinion is nitrogensports.eu although sportsbet.io seemed good but ever since they had a short lived signature campaign i think their site is not doing very well to produce enough money for them.
