i would like to setup a node on testnet, i have followed this guide (https://lisk.io/documentation?i=lisk-docs/BinaryInstall#linux-x86_64-) but this link dosen't work:

https://downloads.lisk.io/lisk/test/lisk-0.1.1-Linux-x86_64.zip

so i can't download...

i have also tryed this procedure :

https://github.com/LiskHQ/lisk/blob/development/README.md

but i have some problem on this step :

Code:
Load git submodules (lisk-ui and lisk-js):

git submodule init
git submodule update

Any one can support me? (also in PM).

Thanks!

1. You can't join our "official" testnet, we need to be quick to update our nodes. Therefore we don't allow it right now.

2. You can create your own local testnet. But the docker/binary versions will be released with the Lisk release only. Right now you can only install Lisk from source code.

Will be back online later this evening. Smiley

I opened new exchange like a week ago but i havent send any bitcoins to it. Is it to late now to send to that exchange or i have to make a new one and just ignore that one week old one?

The old one still works, but I would create a new one. It's simpler. Smiley

Similar question: opened XCR deposit yst, but I had problems with XCR deposit (I'm not familiar with xcr, never use it).

Can I just leave in my exchanges not finished xcr exchange? I have few well done BTC exchanges already and don't want to try to do XCR deposit anymore.

You can just leave the exchange open, it won't do harm. If you want to send more XCR in the future you can simply open a new exchange. Smiley

Guys, you offered 1 million XCR (1% of supply) for a similar contest months back in XCR and NO ONE entered...

Now you offer a T_shirt? Am I missing something here? How about a large chunk of LISK tokens as incentive?

The contest is JUST for an idea which can be 1 line of text or a whole book of materials. This is so different than before. We already got 12 great ideas and I think there will be many more this week. It's just the beginning. Many more competitions will follow.

Btw. our contest was featured by Bitcoinist! http://bitcoinist.net/lisk-announces-dapps-contest-prizes/

Tell us your best Dapp ideas & win great prizes!

Decentralized applications can be thought of as the “bread and butter” of Lisk. Therefore, in order to provide our Lisk Dapp developers with the inspiration to get coding dapps as soon as possible, today we are starting a contest for the best Dapp ideas.

Contest Details

Make a concept for your dream Dapp, and post it to our official forum on the “Decentralized Applications” board. Your concept can contain descriptions, images, diagrams, projections and code. The more elaborate your concept is, the higher your chance of winning.

The contest starts with this announcement (7th March) and ends on the 13th March, at the same time as the BTC exchange bonus drops from 5% to 0%. Please note, early submissions will have no greater priority over later submissions.

We (Oliver and Max) will elect the three winners ourselves, based upon feedback from the community. Winners will be chosen based on the ideas which we feel will draw the biggest attention, and create practical use-cases for the Lisk network.

Everyone can submit as many ideas as they want. To avoid someone submitting an idea before you have completed a submission, you may briefly describe your idea in a forum post, and then enhance that submission over the course of the week with further materials.

Decision criteria

- Quantity and quality of the concept materials (50%)
- Benefits to the Lisk ecosystem (30%)
- Feasibility (20%)

Prizes

The best three ideas will get their own video similar to this one, which can then be used to promote your idea to potential investors, the Lisk community or business partners.

Additionally, we will give out a Raspberry Pi 2, Raspberry Pi 3 and Lisk T-Shirts, according to the following prizes:

- First prize: Raspberry Pi 3 + Lisk T-Shirt + Video
- Second prize: Raspberry Pi 2 + Lisk T-Shirt + Video
- Third prize: Lisk T-Shirt + Video

We shall also use the Dapp ideas and videos to promote the Lisk platform to potential developers. All concept materials will be made public, and will be placed in the hands of the whole Lisk community

Yes just to be safe you should make a new exchange!
I also still have a exchange open from the first day.

But I asked in the chat and they advised me to make a new exchange.
You will get 5% less bonus but you will have no problems for sure!

The bonus is not determined by the date the exchange was opened on our ICO website, but the date the BTC were actually send. Smiley

By the way, war gestern beim Kölner Meetup.

Send Crypti
1 error prohibited your payment from being accepted:

    Invalid transaction timestamp

This is the second time it happens, first time my crypti wallet couldn't send transactions anymore for some time, now it was working again and i get this. My wallet has nothing to do with it, obviously, since the connection to the blockchain is made through https://ico.lisk.io/

I find this method intrusive as we need to input password and also not functional, as you can see. Why can't it be done as for BTC ?

Wonder if it actually happened to more people... i will post further impressions in case this doesn't work out.

Please open a ticket on http://support.lisk.io/ if you still encounter this problem.

Good to hear all of these translations are getting done, however it still doesn't say that the Hungarian one is done. I was in Lisk chat reading about how some guy already finished it.

Yes, I have the Hungarian translation. However, it's ONLY the text. That means not in the forum BBcode format. Therefore, it takes me a bit longer. I need to find the time for that. Smiley If you want to do it, feel free to contact me. Wink

Hello dev, two send BTC to the same address, can't show the Bug fixes?

Should be no problem. If the 2nd transaction doesn't appear after a few hours, please open a ticket on http://support.lisk.io/.

Thank you very much. Smiley

Is there support available for the ICO site?

Yes of course Smiley

Please submit a support ticket, and we shall do our best to help you out.

Otherwise come to https://lisk.chat/ and you can ask your question there.

What are you doing with the earned XCRs?

First of all we will hold them for 1 month. Then we will see what we do. Depends on the Crypti network health and market size. Smiley

Leider es ist zu weit weg.
Hoffentlich kannst Du auch für Lisk werben.  Tongue

Es kommen relative wenige Leute. Aber ja, war mein Gedanke. Ich möchte auch mal sehen, was ich so an Ideen für mein Bitcoin Meetup mitnehmen kann.

Just for all those who complain about
8% of Lisk supply owned by devs.

Look at ETH, and 12% in devs pockets.
... and ethereum is in top 5 coins.

There is a very clever minds
behind both projects. Something must
to back for all this hard work.
Roll Eyes

Ethereum devs didn't split the 12% between themselves, it is still locked inside an ETH contract visible to the public:

https://www.etherchain.org/account/0x5abfec25f74cd88437631a7731906932776356f9

OTOH, Lisk devs blatantly said they plan to split the 8% Devs share between them two 50/50, with no contract, no nothing...

I'd like to see the Devs come forward and address this issue once for all. We can't just take their word that they "plan to hold their Lisk for a long time":

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1346646.msg14105599#msg14105599

I will give you an answer only one time, all terms were clear before the ICO and are still clear. That means bitarri, if you don't like the fact. Then I advise you to not participate in the ICO. Thank you very much for your concerns though.

And now a few facts:

Ethereum's dev funds aren't 12%, they are 12M ETH. That means a total of 16.53% of the genesis block. They were worth about $305,000 at launch and now they are worth about $120,000,000.

While it is correct to state that the funds are locked down in a "contract" you can't come and say that this contract is something special. It's simply a smart contract, which has a special purpose. This purpose is only a 4 of 7 multi-signature account (according to this). Nothing more, nothing fancy like milestones or so. I don't know if they "promised" to pay the ETH out at specific milestones, but in the end that's just a promise. The multi-signature account doesn't prevent them to cash the ETH out, it just makes the account more secure. (I don't care about that, I'm just referring to what you say. For me Ethereum had all the rights to get 12M ETH. Smiley )

Lisk's dev funds are 8%, less than the half of Ethereum's. Our ICO currently collected 1/18 of the Ethereum ICO. That means right now the Ethereum team collected 36 times more for themselves than we do. If we have our funds in control by 2 people that means we are effectively in the same state as Ethereum with 4 people at 2x the amount. If we split the 8M into 4M/4M to each other, it's the same as well.

Our 4M are always visible in the blockchain and if you see them moving to an exchange, you can make your decision and sell. Due to the 8M it isn't our single goal to make an awesome platform and get many dapps. With these 8M we also want that the LISK price rises. If we now make up some artificial milestones, it will only come to problems. I saw this at many other projects already.

We formulated the terms before the ICO started and they are final. Until now over 1450 unique persons participated in our ICO and agreed to the terms. I don't really want to change things, but maybe we can add some more points like a contract. We will definitely address it in our business plan.

If you seriously have concerns over the 8M, please add me on Skype (ask via PM) and I will hear your reasons. Then we will find a solution. Maybe with a contract with Axel Hellinger. Or with a multi-signature account on Lisk. Thanks. Smiley

hat jemand eine ahnung, wie hoch der ausgabepreis beim martkstart sein wird, wenn die ersten LISK verteilt werden?

Das kann man nicht wissen. Auf jeden Fall höher als dieses Bild anzeigt.

What is the difference between "keys" and "passphrase"? Huh
This confuses me a lot Roll Eyes

Passphrase = Private Key of an account = twelve words foobar bla english obama anejo sky dog butter chili india
Keys / Keypairs = Private and public key of an account
Why do i need to remember public key? Huh

You don't really need it. But it's better to save all data we give you (passphrase, account ID, public key). Smiley
