901  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] TerraMiner IV – 2TH/s (February Batch) -- **** Shares avaiable **** on: February 11, 2014, 11:46:32 PM
Firstly, stop flogging it as 2TH! Can't you read between the lines?
It says "Peak performance" per board is 500 G/hs but its not a realistic duty cycle.
My cars has 7000 rpm redline, thats "peak performance" But how long do you think it would last driving it that hard?
Its not going to do 2TH numnutz! The don't want boards coming back, you don't want down time.

Mods, ban this shit from happening! If the don't own it then fuck em, Even if he is legit, Its under cutting in hand owners that do have shares to sell.
Get rid of the pre-order bullshit scam! Of all the people that should know!

Burp......

Is your life so pathetic that you have become attached to this group by, although you are not part of the group by, and follow it like it's your own?  You claim to be of superior intellect than anyone else here.
If you are as smart as you say, then why do you spend your time conversing on a thread you don't believe in or trust.  WTF are you doing here everyday?  Do you wake up in the morning and think bombing this thread and how that will make your day productive and worthwhile.  Are you 16 years old?  Because if you are, and your writing suggests that, then I would understand and excuse you as teenage pissant.

SCAM ALARM!

I'm going to listen to noob who's life is so pathetic he spends his time bombing other people threads?

@barwizi and ahmed_bodi

Just go to his website and email him.  I am not sure he will bother with you though.  He has really good rep and most of his customer actually tip him in addition to the sale price.
I am going to guess he has sold about 1800 of these and no one I know has gotten stiffed.  He stopped numbering his group buys but this has to be 10 or 11.

EDIT: Here is his personal email: joshmon@e-mail.ph

How many shares are still available?

I wish the forum would bring back the newbie post count rule  Roll Eyes

+1
,

anything else to say beside that +1 ? I agree on the noob restriction, but it is not strange to see members assuming the worst when you didn't post any update what so ever..... some transparency will bring the confidence back...

We are shooting a video of the working miner and will release official press soon, but I can anticipate already that we're starting shipping next week, keep an eye on our news section for further updates!

I hope you do, I invested heavily in Peta-Mine when I knew that they have a deal with you guys, I felt confident that you will deliver and had no doubts, but now After all this delay it is starting to be disappointing, I give you guys credit for the AVALON mess, but at this point I feel the PETA-MINE operation is at the same position you were at when avalon failed to deliver except that we share holders are the effected.

my biggest fear is the Asicminer chips that will hit the market after 2 weeks, their update doesn't put so much confidence in me, add to that KNCminer and their smart move to protect their customers, in time we your customers are suffering the most, I don't know how will you compensate for all of this...

We fully understand and share your fears, however as we will start shipping next week we'll all feel much better, we have a huge backlog of orders and we're putting as many resources as possible to cope with the delays. We are not forgetting our customers just because we don't post news but rather the opposite, we don't have time to post news because we're all 200% focused on ramping up the production as much as possible.

As i was saying.... shipping close to the 61 day rule when they are done mining on your miner... (aka next week...)

(whit the lowest upgrade they can get a way whit by the CCP)

Its a dream... stay a sleep... keep dreaming... don't wake up.... if you do it will turn in to a nightmare ;P

In any case, when you see it, its their... all other prediction (from bitmine.ch or any other) have no value any more... is't just predictions and can be change in a sec whit out any concern...

Words only... nothing els.... no legal/lawful obligations....

Pepoel take them on their words alone to much...

When you see it believe it, when you don't.... yea you get my drift....

My prediction still holds up:

They will ship your miner, close to the 61 day rule when it also becomes in-profitable to mine on your miner do to difficulty rise in the mean time an so on ...

Don't expect any thing before that, no matter when you ordered or what they say....

-----------------

Just a stupid? but.....

You say you can see your self ship next week, but still don't have a working miner to film?? (a movie clip takes 5 min on a smart phone... not that hard)

They still a sleep, and are still dreaming... you'r all shut go do the same;) the dream is better then reality ;P

Maybe you can expound on this post and explain it more thoroughly.

Word of advice to noobs - if you can't say it in 10 lines or less don't bother.
Most won't read it anyway because they will assume you are a wackjob.
906  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: February 10, 2014, 05:29:57 AM
mate, go advertise some else were, they have may batch and april, here today you order, and in 2 days they ship your miner, go hold your money in a product, that you are not sure you will get, or when you will get it.
so when someone will say deliver upuon order, no pre orders, come and say that .

That goes double for me!
 Huh

Well it looks like I'm just going to be keeping these unless I get at least $11,000 for them. These will mine for months after the others are too pricey cuz of electricity.

I best call out the power guy I guess and run a bunch of 220!  Smiley

Good luck to you.

Thanks. The hardest part so far was telling the guys I need normal plugs for the 220. In the USA we use these crazy large plugs for 220 most of the time.

The hardest problem is getting an electrician to side step the NEC if you want to change things up like that.. A licensed electrician can lose his license for violations like the one you are asking him to commit.

I would imagine it's possible to get an adapter for those.  I have a friend who has something like 10 KNC miners in his house.  His problem is he literally has no more electricity.  When he tries to put the next one in it blows breakers.  Took him forever to balance the load so he could have 10.
For the amount of coin you are going to make with those you should rent space in a data center.  Depending on where you live you can get a cabinet with two 30 amp outlets (maybe more) for about $900 a month with electricity included.

They are supposedly shipping tomorrow... I would guess that they could be delayed till monday shipping. And yes my friend, it seems china is undercutting your hardware. They gotta be shipping around 500 th every two weeks now.

So I can order 10,000 units tomorrow? There has to be some delay other than shipping times.

Also anyone have any of these in hand or are they so far a vapor product?

They have been shipping for the past 6 weeks in large amounts.  I have 9.  The next price drop later next week will be 1.25 Btc for 200 Gh/s (overclocked).  Delivery is always UPS Express Saver International.  Shipped on Monday arrives on Wednesday.
For those of us who did not order these big miners, it's the best deal going.
Two TH/s right now for $10,300.  Later in the week it will be $8,887.
I would pay a premium for getting 10 miner boxes down to 1 and the electric savings, as anyone would.  But not too much of a premium since these things stack three high and you can run three off a 1350w PSU.

9 Ants and counting.  1.8 Th/s

Any network trouble with that many Huh  Using switches, router or WiFi  Huh

No, but all mine are hard wired.  I have not attempted/needed to use wifi.
I just love that these things are like tanks or like Asicminer blades.  They are tough and never fritz out like the h-boards.
As long as I have had them I only have had one mysteriously stop mining.  I was able to reset it remotely and started right up again.  Not sure what the issue was but it never repeated.
They do take up space though.  I only stack them 2 high.

There are little switches you can buy for $9 but you would have to wait for delivery.  See robotshop.com
You can also use some stiff coated copper wire.  But for shorting it, the paperclip is the most secure.
There is tension to keep it in place and it goes in deep so it does not wobble.  I have had copper wires drop out in the middle of the night and lost hours of mining.  Never happened with a paperclip.

EDIT Here is the switch I was referring to:

So where are these for sale at reasonable prices now?
I have a few for sale but they run under the standard speed.  I have sold all my others and these are the leftovers from my batch of 110.
At the default 50 bits they range between 1.5 Gh/s to 1.75 Gh/s.
Overclocked at 54 bits they all run over 2.0 Gh/s and the faster ones run about 2.5 Gh/s.
I have about 8 of them and they run between $55-$70 depending on the speed.  Delivery is additional.

PM me if interested.

$55-$70 is a bit steep, especially if they are under standard speed.  I was hoping $25 to $30, expected $40 or so.

Is there nowhere I can get $10/gigahash?  That's the only price that makes any modicum of sense right now.

No.  The lowest available price I have seen is $95.  But most are well over $100.

That's craziness.  No way to ROI @ over $30 right now.  I don't see it being even remotely possible.

well, you have to also keep in mind that those were made with a bitfury chip which alone cost $25. And even though everyone's bottom cost will be different - in my group buy my estimates for a 500-1000-devices series were for about another $25-30 in all other pieces including PCB, components, assembly, stencils, shipping, taxes, etc.

I get it; assembly of these had a certain cost.  But at this point in time, it doesn't make sense for me to buy them even at cost.

I agree, but you need to realize these are not made to make money. They are entry level miners that introduce people to mining at the lowest cost available.  Their usefulness is more for education or the hobbyist who just wants be a part of the network.
If you want to make money mining you need to spend a lot more money than $100. Like $10,000 at least to make the effort worth it.
But if you want to dabble a little, learn about the space, have some fun and mine some millibits in the process, for less than $500 in equipment?.....this is for you.

willing to pay $30.000 for 15TH power delivered in next 45 days!
I don't care about power consumption and I'm located in Europe.
also I am dead serious about this offer.

Hi, thank you for your interest and your offer. I'm afraid the chips cost us almost $90 each and we can assume a power of 28 Gh/s per chip. So only the chips would cost us over $48 000. This is not including the cost of other hardware, production and logistics.

We can provide big rigs for $8 per Gh/s. Or perhaps for less for first customers to get things rolling.

If you haven't purchased the chips yet, I'd recommend for you to not to. Right now AntMiner S1's are available for less then $6.25/GH.

So unless you can produce them for $4.50/GH by the time you can release them, it won't sell.

BitFury chips (ordered in December) were $5 per 2.5 Gh/s chip and deliverable in the next two weeks.

I don't know about $8/Ghs, but if you are in the US and can ship in the next 30 days,
you can probably sell them for $5-$6/Ghs.  That would be a $5000 1TH rig.
But if you can't ship for 60 days or more, all bets are off.  You might as well plan on making 5-7 TH miners at $2.50/Ghs

I have a board that has gone from 450 Gh/s to 135.  I have tried everything and can't get more than one card per four slot bay.
