921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Loom network madness on: October 20, 2023, 08:21:30 AM
Somebody here die on whack pump and dump ride?
Ive witnessed this on a raging pump but didnt bother to join since its pumped a lot already. I dont want to get hyped with the pump and suddenly youll be an exit liquidity which happened on aomw users due to huge crash. Anyway its always good to enter early to some alts with major upside and exit with a good pumped. But catalyst are hard to find which one to pump hard like the loom movement.
922  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the government acquire all bitcoins either by seizure or purchase? on: October 20, 2023, 06:34:55 AM
Mind you that even if the Bitcoin in a particular address is stolen, the government cannot seize it, unless the address is on a centralized platform, if the address is in a non-custodial wallet like Sparrow and you have the recovery phrase, it cannot be seized. The only thing law enforcement can do is to "flag" the address and declare the coins in it "tainted"
Is that so? Then why "Zhong" btc asset were seized by the Government when proven that he is the criminal or the one stole 50k btc on silk road. Obviously he stored it on a non custodial wallet and as per watching this video on Youtube about documentation on how they apprehend him seems pretty clear that they can as long as they have proof that you are the cuplrit on such incident cause they knew they can seized anything unless someone is proven guilty. Or does your statement depend on the case is what you mean.

923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 19, 2023, 05:03:35 PM
The key difference between Bitcoin and altcoins is that altcoins can't survive for long when Bitcoin is still running.

Yes, you are right. If you invest at the right time, altcoins can give you a big profit. Not just big, but massive. But we can't rely on that profit for long. As we all know, it will hit the bottom more than we think. Like Luna, Shiba Inu, etc. These projects were hyped the most. But now look where they are.
Regarding that Im not sure since its not happening yet but thats impossible right? Maybe for some literally low projects but not for quality one and old projects.

We really cant rely thats why you convert those profits into usdt or bitcoin or safe altcoins that are strong like ethereum. Just turn those profits into blue chips and good to go.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: October 19, 2023, 03:45:40 PM
You are right, I am sorry for wrong information, yes your one reward is forfeited. You needed to claim on different celestia address for each claim. This is really bummer.
Thats really a bummer since weve should see the announcement on discord for this, but honestly they can use the Twitter to mention this detail as if they really said that before. Users arent lingering on discord for details. Official website should indicate that cause its a protocol cause announcement on discord might be a trick and we knew that some scam happened on discord for that. Anyway I will just accept it since nothing can do.

But that scenario isnt a wise decision for their airdrop recipients. Thats why not only me complained dozen of users.
925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can the government acquire all bitcoins either by seizure or purchase? on: October 19, 2023, 03:15:32 PM
So I am thinking, apart from physically confiscating hardware wallets and apprehending bitcoin holders to submit their seed phrase, is it possible that the government can seize bitcoins belonging to citizens even though it is a decentralized system?
If they only see that those property or personal items has been used for illegal maybe they can but as far as decentralized concern they cannot comfiscate from anyone until proven thats an evil money acquired from hacking or anything bad. Thats too much its an extortion of highest level just because if they wanna do that. They cant argue that bitcoin is illegal since it become a mainstream decentralized system where users are freely using for transaction and finance innovative method and solutions.
926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Simple Yet Powerful Message That Will Always Hold True on: October 19, 2023, 02:35:22 PM
Well thats true but not for everyone who earned a lot from altcoins free airdrops or nft hypes. I love bitcoin but will not criticize altcoins and nfts who give me some profit way bigger if I bought bitcoin at that time too. Well Im saying this based on experience too and not just by the turn out of event on altcoins. Its a case to case basis so we cant neglect the fwct that altcoins helped also in your portfolio if you did the same. Being a full bitcoin investor is not bad but some people like to explore too and of course they must have level of knowledge before going into that cause its really very risky.
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: October 19, 2023, 12:30:22 PM
There is nothing to forfeit, even if you were eligible for all 4 drops, your airdrop will go to one celestia address only.
Oh thats why. One celestia address with one only eligible category. Thats why I say its not fair, since when I checked the current amount from 50tia it become 163tia, thats for evm eligibilty. How about the cosmos atom staking which i think I got also 50tia supposedly during the genesis drop which should also be 163tia but when I tried to check it on the current checking page its now unaccepted only the evm. I should have 300 plus in that celestia address if its bot forfeited.

So you are telling me thats its just a glitch? And I still receieved it? Theres already a lot of same case on discord with the same situation. About this issue.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: October 19, 2023, 12:14:29 PM
Your both cosmos + evm airdrop will be linked to one celestia address only and you will receive your airdrop there only, there is nothing wrong.
Hey there yea I have this situation but the problem when I checked the cosmos wallet airdrop even though I registered that its become ineligible Im not sure whats wrong using same address for the evm+ cosmos since I am using one device its automatically prompt the keplr extension to save that address for evm when you generate or import address. So meaning It will be the same for my cosmos. I read on discord that only 1 celestia address per airdrop that means one will be forfeit but Id hope they consider that users can have evm and cosmos but the ruling of 1 celestia wasnt informed from the start or genesis claiming.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin's Price Surges and Drops Unexpectedly on: October 19, 2023, 11:21:39 AM
This is a game played by market makers, and we will undoubtedly have to endure such fake news in the future. There's no doubt anymore, and this is the phase where the whales are accumulating. They are generating false information to create frustration among investors, and in some cases even worse news, to buy tokens at extremely low prices.
Well also with the inclusions of the social platform where users followed and subscribed they are fast on acting and opening future position and some whales too thats why they are caught right away with the surge when suddenly a report has to be meen fake or reportedly wrong. Many affected with that especially traders but spot users are probably happy with the recent movement even a little pumped. This just means how big the application of etf when happened completely.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Celestia airdrop live on: October 18, 2023, 07:46:27 PM
Do you know about the when will be the listing of the celestia token? Because I did not see any exchange announcement about it. Also we will receive more token than earlier(3X) due to unclaimed wallets.
Yes Im quite aware, but what pissed me off cause I am eligible on metamask airdrop and also on the atom staking since I am staking cosmos eversince. I was able to register both my evm and my cosmos via keplr with the same address. Of course Id used that, since I already have keplr for the cosmos, now when I checked my eligibility for atom staking its not now. Anyone got the same issue? Im reading comments on discord that 1 person per 1 celestia address? Of course when I used my metamask its needed a keplr address and it automatically linked to the one Ive used on keplr app it will literally will be the same with the one with the cosmos thats not a sybil since any user can used evm and cosmos at the same time.
931  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why is blockchain important? on: October 18, 2023, 02:17:26 PM
For the sake of argument, I have some knowledge of bitcoin and blockchain but that I didn’t  use them due of my unstable financial situation. I'm about to begin investing and even trading. The name speaks for itself. What function does blockchain serve? Is it merely necessary for recording every transaction, making it essentially just a database? Please continue to be pertinent; I am aware of how blocks are produced.
Well for some its only purpose is too served as a means of financial or investment. Cant argue with that since most of the users who join this is investing some of their money and wishing for a huge return due to past performances. But maybe understanding this is more important cause its not all about getting 5x or more profit but the efficient it can bring to different sector once its get more adoption.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there hope for Zcash (ZEC) to reach a new ATH? on: October 18, 2023, 01:04:09 PM
The developer team already announced their intentions to make Zcash a PoS blockchain. It seems they will be following ETH's footsteps. If the upgrade gains the approval of the community, market prices will "pump" like crazy. At least for a short period of time. This should be able to bring back the hype. If you're curious about the transition to PoS, I invite you to read all about it here:
Oh so they will go on that road like what eth did. Im sure this will served as catalyst for a pump but of course they must have been strict and more likely a good launch. Anyway when they gonna do that? Is this plan confirm or just still a plan? Did you attached a link? I think you forgotten it.

Not really fan of zec but this could be a good short to medium trading opportunity.
933  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdrawing to UK Bank Account on: October 18, 2023, 11:49:34 AM
Well if yout bank isnt on the list on GBP p2p on Binance then might open a bank account that supports mostly the one being used there. Since they no longer allowed withdrawals to Uk via currency then P2P is still your best option like what Bitmax said. Im sure you have other choices like remitanance app or supported finance company and not just the bank account.
934  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One of ways to identify scams on: October 18, 2023, 11:11:37 AM
But do you see all those spelling mistakes they have, I can see on the image you posted, so It's something from a pretty lame attacker who didn't even create a good website to act as a mask to write down the credentials.
This one also can be considered a factor. Some lousy scammers not even fixing some of their spelling when thry deploy their website which is clearly noticed of theit rush doing it. Someone always have an isntinct to check thoroughly and a legit one would always proofread the site or read important details and an error like spelling is a clue that it might be just a scam one.
935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins have dropped at least 10x in this bear market and will easily 10x on: October 18, 2023, 10:29:19 AM
As title says, for example Solana dropped 10x, will it easily 10x again during next bull cycle in late 2025?
Last time round I bet on BCH to 10x having dropped 10x.... IT DID SWEET FA.

What say you?  Wink
I think almost of all famous L1 got dropped 10x or more on their current price. Well basically all projects have reallt trimmed down to its ATL or close. So the bear market really kick in on a lot of projects. Solana is one of those that cracks maybe also due to Sam allegiance witht the project. Anyway we just need to find new projects that could do another leg or new season ATH once bull run arrived.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there hope for Zcash (ZEC) to reach a new ATH? on: October 17, 2023, 11:21:16 AM
There's nothing that would "pump" ZEC's market price now, especially when the majority are focused on smart contracts, and "meme" coins. Privacy coins are widely unpopular thanks to governments
Maybe for now. Each coin or tokens has unique way to be recognize from the community and maybe zec's time isnt now. Most people are into hype and they lack that. Im not sure though but if you are investors might as well check others than buying a low engagement project. Governmemt will likely not support this no matter what especially its concept.
937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any posts here about cryptocurrency fake news? on: October 17, 2023, 09:02:46 AM
Who knows, maybe it was an intern who planned this to boost his earnings from a trade that would eventually lead to the price of bitcoin skyrocketing as a result of the news breaking about bitcoin ETF.
Or the cointelegraph itself. Who knows but this kind of error is unacceptable since many have been liquidated especially if they edited their first post. Unfortunate things to happened since they are a big news platform which are followed and subscribed by a lot of users even the whales who are watching from the sideline.
938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are there any posts here about cryptocurrency fake news? on: October 17, 2023, 07:56:37 AM
Cointelegraph issues apology after falsely announcing that BlackRock's Spot Bitcoin ETF was approved by the SEC.
How to get rich scheme.

1. Apply as intern on coindesk
2. Make a leverage 100x bet on bitcoin
3. Post approval of SEC on bitcoin etf application
4. Close position and resign. Boom! Instant millionaire by a crazy pump on news.

Damn this was so fast happened last night like literally a lot of people got swayed by the news. Clearly show how Bitcoin can nonstop pumped when those bittcoin etf got approved.
939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if the internet permanently shuts down on: October 16, 2023, 07:26:36 PM
Well it works with signal even though its impossible to make it happened I think there are plenty of ways on how to make it impossible. People live with it and as much as you wanted to make this scenario believable it wont happened so why bother. Cause in our moderate world, no one would ever live now without it. Sooner or later some geeks can invent something that might stronger than the internet for it to work on blockchain somehow.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which old coin do you prefer? Litecoin or Dogecoin? on: October 16, 2023, 01:05:19 PM
What would be your pick? And why did you choose that coin in the first place? Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Personally I didnt use any of these two yet but Ive traded them before on exchange. I am fond of using bitcoin and other altcoins instead of old coins so I didnt know the feeling of using it. But some of my friends are using dogecoin as its very fast and got small fees. Not sure if comparable to L1 if its still much cheaper though.
