Tempus looks like a Solarcoin pump starting on lykke.   Will Solarcoin have margin and option trading in the future with lykke?

Right! That is because of good news:

EKWATEUR SHAKES THE OLD WORLD OF ENERGY SUPPLIERS March 17, 2017
FRENCH ENERGY SUPPLIER “EKWATEUR.FR” TO ACCEPT SOLARCOIN AS MEANS OF PAYMENT FOR ENERGY!

http://www.electricchain.org/ekwateur-shakes-the-old-world-of-energy-suppliers/

Margin Trading: I'm not sure if it already will be possible right from the start once margin trading is released but I believe it will come (I don't know of a reasons why not).
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: March 19, 2017, 03:24:42 PM
Why Lykke is still under ICO price? The trading volume of your site is so big, but people are not interested in your tokens? Maybe your ico price was overpriced.

Reason Nr 1 is most likely the Bitcoin-rise since the ICO. BTC went from about $600 in Sept/Oct to an ATH and now there is the correction because of the ETF-disapproval and all the drama because of an anticipated hard fork and split. Reason Nr 2 may be that Lykke is in an early stage. Only those who recognize it's potential to grow are already attracted.

But: LKK is just about 4% below ICO-price and with all what will come during the next weeks and months there is a lot of potential in my opinion.

923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: March 19, 2017, 02:03:33 PM
There is one major yet simple feature I think should be implemented for the mobile wallet. I should be able to see my total portfolio value based on my base asset. It's hard to figure hot how much money you have in total. Another cool feature is to see how your account has grown over time. This first suggestion is more important than the second.

I'm currently running a test-version (IOS) and it is a little bit different and there it is possible (Settings --> Base Asset, then it shows the Total Capital in that currency). I believe to remember that it already is possible in the actual version that is out right now but a little bit different: If you go on Exchange you can click on an asset and if I recall it correctly that should also determine how the total value is shown, but could be wrong. Problem is, I can't try it out myself. ;-)

But either way it will be there in the coming version that will include margin trading and a lot of other little improvements. I believe users will like it because it is more simplified in one way but also with more intuitive functionality and nice little features. Below some screenshots that I've posted last week:

Some Screenshots of the coming Release:

Very intuitive little features:

Margin Trading:

I'll also forward your second suggestion to the team!

https://www.heise.de/tp/features/Snapchat-und-die-neue-Dotcom-Blase-3646908.html

925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Million USD raised in 90 minutes! [ANN][Qtum]UTXO based POS Smart Contracts on: March 17, 2017, 09:38:40 AM
My personal view on this: When I've first read about it, early this year, I planned to invest. I wanted to do deeper research, before but I already was 90% sure I would buy into the ICO. Once I wanted to start to dig deeper the "Dai-controversy" came out and I already believed it's better to stay back. But one part of me still thought that it's possible that a project of a guy who did some shady things in the pats is not necessarily bad or even scam.

But $10 million in 90 minutes and $12 million in less than a day? Really? That would be concerning even if everything else would be fine. The probability of self-buying plus the fact how much they will hold anyway, plus a PoS-system, plus the Bitbay-past with a similar pattern --> no way that I'll ever buy into this. Not now and not on any exchange later.

926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: March 17, 2017, 09:23:48 AM
Got it, thanks, but i don't think it will effect price too much.

some have theorized that price manipulation is occurring because of the INSANE amount of factoids are being loaned out which helps shorters etc...
the amount sitting on Polo is STAGGERING compared to the total supply.  many theorize that this is causing manipulations which would not occur if balances were not on polo

Exactly, people need a decent wallet. What Exodus has produced s perfect. Fast, east to use and quite safe. There will be no more cheap Factom for margin trade on Polo anymore.

afaik Exodus is also a 3rd party wallet..so any particular reason that it is safer than any exchange out there?

You have the private keys, not an exchange! That is a huge difference.

And: It's not needed to store Factoids with Exodus. Mine are on cold storage, generated with Papermill
on an offline-machine. But exodus makes it very easy to import and transact in less than a minute.

Made a screenshot some time ago (I'm one of the testers):

927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: March 16, 2017, 02:49:14 PM
Lykke is an exchange, right?

How can I involve in?

download the lykke app on ios or android and then you can sign up and buy lykke coins. Or check out the website. Right now they have an app as the exchange but they are going to have a website down the line. Its a forex exchange where Olsen is going to set it up where you can trade anything on the website. And there will be no fees for trading so will be very liquid exchange. People have asked where they make their money. I believe it will be from other big businesses that want to be part of the lykke exchange eco system. Customers don't get charged anything but the businesses will be charged to use the platform. I could be wrong, but I believe thats how its going to be set up.

I think your explanation is correct although I still have some doubts maybe tempus can shred some light on this. Here's a very good article explaining how Lykke system works although an ELI5 would be awesome for many of us  Cheesy

https://medium.com/@pullnews/the-lykke-platform-9bc2b7785da2#.mvjw3q6lq

Ah, thanks! Didn't recognize that part.

Main-business of Lykke will be market-making --> using the spread. One can think of it as a flexible fee and goal is a very thin spread of course. The whole market is always adjusting, but I couldn't explain how it's done. Richard Olsen, but also Sergey Ivliev and some others, are true experts when it's about market-economics.

Once they have a little bit more time I'll suggest that somebody will write an article to explain it all in layman-terms ;-)

But, Lykke will be about many aspects: financial products, payment system (plus debit card), p2p-lending, maybe also prediction market, information-system, crowdfunding-platform and they also build software for other companies but I don't know any details about that.

Key will be volume. Lykke will be much more attractive once it's fully developed and once they'll add pretty much everything what's significant in Crypto and beyond, forex-trading and shares and so on. Important are regulations. That's the reason why they push that topic so much and they do it all over the world.

In that context, the most recent article again (about progress regarding regulations): https://www.lykke.com/city/blog/lykke_news_digest

928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Lykke - Semi-decentralized Exchange on the Blockchain on: March 16, 2017, 02:11:48 PM
Sorry for asking it again (a bit hard to go through all 64 pages). Is Lykke for mobile only? No Desktop version? As I understand it is not available for trading on other exchanges now?

No worries - all questions are welcomed!

Right now the platform is only accessible over the App but a web-based-terminal is in development and also a desktop-app will come. Maybe one can imagine the future Lykke as "Oanda-on-blockchan" (since Richard Olsen is co-founder and former CEO of https://www.oanda.com).

And yes, LKK-shares are only tradable on Lykke until now but it's planned to get them on Polo and Kraken. Won't be next week and I believe also not next month, but it's on the table.

This is an old video on richard olsen when he was with Oanda.  It gives you a good idea of how Lykke was started and how he wants finance to get caught up with technology we have today.

Right! That's a video I've also watched when I found Lykke. There is another great speech by Richard Olsen (also before Lykke):

Lykke token is a share, although the price is not good right now, it will shine in a few years, investing in Lykke is a good choice.

When will you develop a non-mobile wallet?   Huh  I like online one licky blockchain.info.

A web-based-terminal is already in development. I don't know when release will be but I also hope soon.

Btw: Some days ago I've found this video with Bill Gates and he explains very good why a focus on mobile is a very good decision. It's nearly as if he talks about Lykke ;-)

Thanks Tempus, I can wait till then though it will be more interesting to see the Business Report and get clarity on the business model, the markets and revenue streams and the strategic direction of Lykke.

Do you also know what is the number of outstanding Lykke coins? At the moment some are held by the company and by the founders, but I guess it's not clear to me how many coins are in distribution to the public. Coinmarketcap shows this number as 30,000,000LKK.

There are basically 4 groups, or even 5:

Company
Team-Members
Angel-Investors
Sept-Oct 2016 ICO-Investors

Plus: LKK1Y-crowdfunding

The 30 million LKK are those that were sold to the public during the ICO in Sept-Oct 2016. The LKK1Y are forward-contracts and not on the market yet but will stream in in about 1 year.

The 30 million is most likely not totally correct because no LKK are restricted but it can be assumed to be about right because the company, team-members and Angel-Investors are in for the longterm.

I personally believe that also a majority of ICO-buyers are longterm-focused.

The market cap is definitely going over 1.4 million. They made Feb 9, 2017 to Feb 28, 2017 $1,973,554.46  alone on the 1 year lykke contracts. So more then likely after the 1 year contract is up the market cap will more then double in price. To raise almost 2 million in that period of time shows how people are engaged into this project. People have a lot of faith and trust in Mr. Olsen. I also bought more 1 year lyke after the 28th and I am sure others bought some as well. So its probably over 2 million. To get the 20% discount is probably the best deal of any coin on the market right now. I am sure the coin will more then double and could turn into a top 5 coin in a few years. All the things they are adding to turn this into a decentralized forex is the best project of all the cryptos I have researched so far. There so many scam coins hitting the market its a breath of fresh air to find one thats legitimate that is ran by a man who is very successful in forex industry.

Yes, absolutely agree! I was very positive surprised how well people reacted on the LKK1Y, because first I was concerned that maybe many don't really understand the forward-contract. But more and more seemed interested and it went very well in a short time and without big "hype" etc. Interest in Lykke is definitely increasing and there is so much to come that I believe there is some chance that it even might explode through 2017. Impact on price is always unpredictable but the time is on Lykke's side. That's why I'm very optimistic. And btw: It's one of two projects even my parents invested in.

Regarding Richard Olsen: I believe he is indeed one of the reasons that people trust this project. In many other projects people are constantly concerned if a team could just leave with the money etc. That's a non-topic in Lykke. And what I can say is: They all are not just skilled but really good people who will do everything to make this to a win-win-win for Users, Investors and Lykke.
