941  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage in Copy Trading on: August 09, 2023, 10:47:50 PM
I think at this point you should just contact Bingx support, maybe they will help explain to you what you exactly want. You have asked a similar question before, at least around 3 times. Members gave you responses, but you are still not satisfied. I remember even sharing some link for you to read through, but I doubt if you did that.

1. copytrading and futures
2. copytrading
3. bingx copytrading
4. Bingx Copytrading

And now this
942  Economy / Service Discussion / MEXC, insanely low trading fees. How are these guys making money? on: August 09, 2023, 09:24:17 PM
I have used MEXC sometimes because they seem to be so quick on listing derivatives of shitcoins which are so sweet to short at times after the pump, but to be honest I even fear depositing money on that exchange. I just deposit what I can afford to lose.

Now, the exchange has insanely low trading fees compared to other players on the market, which makes me wonder how they manage to stay afloat

Spot
Maker: 0.000%   Taker: 0.000%

Futures
Maker: 0.000%   Taker: 0.010%

This is way below even what the likes of bitmex and Bybit used to offer back in the day before they also changed their fee structures, probably due to little  profits

For example, Bitmex used to offer in futures trading; Maker: -0.025% (they would actually pay you -0.025%) and Taker 0.075%. Despite the maker rebate, the taker fee was so high, so it would cover for the maker rebates. Same with bybit, but they ended up scrapping off the rebates.

I don't know why, but I smell something fishy. Could the exchange also be chipping in to trade against their traders in order to make money? After all, they have all the data of the long and short positions especially with the shitcoin futures that are not listed anywhere else... right?
943  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New asic for bitcoin or scam? on: August 08, 2023, 11:42:46 PM
what is the exact price and is it possible to order one, are they available meanwhile? I'd be interested in purchasing one model, shipment would be EU. Let me know, please.

If you take time to read up the replies in this thread, most of your questions will be answered. Like this reply;

The first batch was all sold out, it was only 1000 miners, the next batch won't be available before 4 months according to my guy, the price tag is $25-27/th depending on the quantity, these miners run a lot cooler and quieter than their rivals, given that the company is still new and small, I doubt they would be able to make a lot of them, so getting them would be difficult.
944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: binance vs decentralized exchange on: August 08, 2023, 11:10:00 PM
There are decentralized exchange where one can trade derivatives, but they are less popular, which means that the downside is they have lower liquidity as compared to centralized exchanges. The fee might also not be that friendly.
This is why most people keep using centralized exchanges for trading both spot and derivatives
945  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: August 07, 2023, 11:44:55 PM
By chance this is already possible for those who have an account. You can choose your preferred color theme.

A question for the whole community: would you prefer a dark theme?
I think it's ok. perhaps a button to toggle between the 2 themes for those who prefer either of the themes. I actually didn't mind about the current theme because part of the page is already dark.

I also wonder what happens if one uploads a dark imagelike I sometimes do, will after upload preview page be clear enough?

946  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: HAVE PI COIN NEED USDT (huobi US exchange ) on: August 07, 2023, 10:58:24 PM
Am I understanding you correct? Pi coins cannot be sold?
the mined pi coins can not be traded in exchanges because no exchange has listed Pi yet. What you are seeing trading on Huobi are not actual Pi coins, and you can not withdraw them once you have bought them.

What you see now is people buying the coins on p2p level but at a much lower price like this guy
947  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM REPORT] Bitmart.com SCAM, stolen over $100k on: August 07, 2023, 10:17:19 PM
It's a bit of surprise that you sent over $100K to an exchange you knew less about, yet there are several much better exchanges.

Now, that being a lot of money, you have no choice but send them the required documents. Maybe you should try to explain to them where your Bitcoin comes from or how far you have come in the crypto industry.
948  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: August 04, 2023, 11:49:08 PM
Someone help me understand what happened here.

@Csmiami created a trust flag against betnomi some time back (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2646) referencing this topic which I believe was accurate, but the flag got opposed by some members and it stayed inactive

What did I miss here? @Harkorede, @icopress any help?
949  Economy / Reputation / Re: DireWolfM14 abusing the trustsystem. on: August 04, 2023, 11:29:30 PM
I don't know about you, but I respect myself, I don't accept that people accusing me of being an alt of a scammer it's like being called a scammer!
Respect yourself?  Grin

You are a low life lending section scammer just like Ps34 or Elmanchez, what difference does it make now anyway. You just proved DireWolfM14 right today, didn't you?
Couldn't wait to scam your next victim, huh?

I bet the most people on this forum would react the same way as I did, and it only takes one minute to scroll in Reputation board to see so.
I believe you were just guilty conscious.
950  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by betnomi (20 000 $ worth of eth and btc) on: August 04, 2023, 10:59:19 PM
I saw your complaint on Casinoguru the other day and I must say I am absolutely gutted with what happened to you. I am so sorry about your loss. The Betnomi people organized an exit scam right from day one. There were red flags here and there but people/members we so lenient on them and in the end they did what their mission was from the beginning, so I do think there will be anything positive that will come from them.

I will support the flag you create against their profile and leave them some red trust. I only hope you overcome this hard situation and possibly get to recover that money one way or the other.
951  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A Feature in electrum wallet on: August 04, 2023, 10:46:21 PM
Well, I am saying this because I am already familiar with windows supported software which I use for editing videos and sometimes Photoshop as well. I do scan documents and I don't know if the Epson scanner and printer software is available for Linux or not. I am unsure if Canon has software for Linux or not. I understand that there might be alternatives for this software, But it takes time for someone one learn everything in new software. I have a secondary laptop which is a low config (It says intel Pentium 3558U @1.70GHz) I don't even know what generation is it. It has only 8gb ram installed and 120GB SSD. I guess I can use it for this crypto stuff. The dual boot mode seems good as well.
I had my old cheap HP laptop from China with 4 GB RAM and 1.6GHz Intel Celeron N3050 Processor Dual Core. 500 GB HDD and I could dual boot Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa)
I don't think you will find many challenges with getting used to Ubuntu OS. If you do, you can search the so many forums dedicated to Linux, and you will get what you want.
952  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: HAVE PI COIN NEED USDT (huobi US exchange ) on: August 04, 2023, 10:24:59 PM
Is PI transferable cos I guess it was the IOU that was listed on huobi
No it's not. OP is just trying to look for a shortcut by trying to sell Pi coins for USDT through people who are trading Pi IOU on Huobi. But this is like transferring his burden to another person, since they can't deposit the coins anywhere to be sold.
953  Other / Meta / Re: Search function stuck in pre 2020? on: August 04, 2023, 03:13:32 PM
Is there no one taking care of the forum, the technical parts? Backup & functionality?
That would be the admin himself - Theymos.

But don't expect any serious changes to be made in the current forum software. Unless if it's something like a critical security flaw.

This is what he said some time back. I believe he is reluctant to make some changes or feature because it would mean also altering the new forum software that is being tested.
- I am the only bitcointalk.org sysadmin and on-demand programmer, and I'm used to the current software. Furthermore, I need to frequently make changes to the current software, but each change I make might require alterations to Epochtalk, which is problematic.

954  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: August 04, 2023, 03:04:48 PM
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Surprisingly, the error which i saw yesterday no longer appears on my Firefox when I click on the links, but It has persisted on Tor browser. I just tested the links on the rest of other browsers (Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera etc.) and all is good.
955  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The story of Betnomi.com (Exit Scam) on: August 03, 2023, 11:58:30 PM
They planned the whole scam from day one... We only got fooled and accepted that they had reformed only to pull off an exit scam.

OP this is the archive to the erased OP of the thread - http://archive.is/NUdsW

956  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: LIPA, a non-custodial Lightning wallet without sending function on: August 03, 2023, 10:55:17 PM
First OBWallet, now LIPA wallet Cheesy
@internetional are you trying to do some kind of weird experiments with this brand new wallets or what?
I like testing stuff myself but never with real coins/money, and I am skipping this one because it's available only on iOS devices.

He mentioned his reason's here  Wink
It’s not so easy to find a good wallet.

My first LN wallet was Muun. But many services do not pay its invoices because of very high routing fees.
Then I tried to use Blixt. Initially, it was awesome. But for the last months, it cannot found a route for any transfer of more than 10K sats. I don’t know why. Previously, I sent even 10M sats from it, and everything ran smoothly.
The same case with Phoenix.

So I am looking for a wallet where I could with one or two clicks have two channels opened to two different nodes, for better routing. All other wallets require quite complicated actions for such a configuration. OBWallet looks most promising. But it does not work as planned, yet.

It's a dangerous and bumpy ride, especially when dealing with crypto... Perhaps he has something so pressing he wants to do as soon as possible?
957  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New asic for bitcoin or scam? on: August 03, 2023, 10:46:53 PM
Lets see if they reply.
Please keep us updated with the outcomes.

Buyers will be interested in the price and reliability of the new ASIC.
Yeah, I am seeing some folks asking about the price of the mining gear. They are still clueless. Maybe they are first trying top gauge how the market reacts to their product. But there are also some YouTube reviewers making a dash for their gear.
958  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to sell BTC peer-2-peer now that LocalBitcoins and Paxful closed? on: August 03, 2023, 10:23:39 PM
binance.com is quite good P2P and also reliable too,
Binance.com has nothing to do with being a p2p exchange... come on, let's first learn what a peer to peer exchange means before we make suggestions

however I think now paxful P2P is also back.
You have got to be joking me. You are going back to using paxful?  Roll Eyes

Here are some pretty solid alternatives you can check them out

1. bisq.network
2. hodlhodl.com
3. agoradesk.com
4. peachbitcoin.com

You can also keep track on some of the next exchanges that might poop up in the future from this site - https://kycnot.me
To amend my list, we have
5. Localcoinswap.com

Quit a good p2p service as well.

I am not sure if we have had this kind of problem before. So I tried viewing images in these links and this is what I get.

What are we looking at here?
960  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Got surprised by swap cashier as he demanded KYC/AML on the street on: August 02, 2023, 11:55:36 PM
It didn't stop me from buying crypto but I would like to ask: what additional sources one may use as a proof of clear assets in crypto?
You just walk away if you feel uncomfortable handing your sensitive data to a stranger.

Would he have done the same if you asked him for KYC and source of his fiat cash? It goes both ways, right?  Grin

That 'swapper' has claimed that he has a subscription on a pre-paid source for checking what crypto assets are moving to/from my non-custodial wallet.
That's just bullshit.
