941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to BUYDL on: February 27, 2017, 02:28:09 PM
your "Analysts" that you are quoting here for us seems to be looking in the wrong places, possibly in an altcoin market at a shitcoin pump and dump. this is bitcoin we are talking about here, and for bitcoin the news of ETF going either way is not going to cause a mass panic drop to $600 or the other way going to moon to $3500

these "Analysts" specially with their out of blue 35% sound to me more like attention seekers who make big empty claims.
942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin was always meant to be used to purchase a cup of coffee or a can of soft on: February 27, 2017, 02:22:04 PM
well this is true but sad also.
after 8 years we have come a long way but also we are so far away from that target when we can actually consider bitcoin as something we use to pay for day to day stuff such as a cup of coffee. the transaction fees can soon go up to be as expensive as a cup of coffee!
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Chain of Points - Transforming Loyalty Into Rewards - ICO LIVE!!! on: February 27, 2017, 02:15:52 PM
This indeed is amazing concept targeting the loyalty business.
Will consumers earn CoP POINTS for making purchase through affiliate merchants?Where and how can they redeem these POINTS?

No Merchants will create their own points using our merchant wallet and consumers will be able to get all their loyalty points in any of app of their choosing that supports our blockchain and token.
I disagree with you, I believe it is a great idea indeed.
Having a points as a loyalty award to consumers has been a practice nowadays in any merchants and I think this will work also in Chain of Points.

it certainly is a new concept that this here is trying, and i also think it is a nice thing. although we have to wait and see more of it in real action too, before making a complete decision about this.
if the points of loyalty can reach a balance and not overdo it, it can be pretty revolutionary.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Bitcoin? on: February 26, 2017, 02:04:42 PM
I saw just getting under 1k new transactions today is not like yesterday, I think this problem will be solved soon bitcoin course for the future so it is better although there was an attack spammers transactions

it is a bit hard to understand what you mean but i think you are not checking the right thing for number of "new transactions" or better said unconfirmed transactions in the memory pool.
use this https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and it says more than 9K right now. and it is way less than it was before but this number is still a huge one compared to normal days of 2K-3K transactions in mempool.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You have 10 seconds to post an altcoin that you think will go 100% in 3 months on: February 26, 2017, 01:58:48 PM
Let's play a game. Post an altcoin of your choice that you think can give at least 100% gains in the next 3 months. Post the website and bitcoin talk thread and a small description of why you think it will pump.

mrai!
https://raiblockscommunity.net/
trade now for 200-250 satoshi, I think could reach more then 100% in 3 months Wink

Grin there is already a win!!!!!

because mrai now are traded between 450 - 600 satoshi!!!
It was a nice pump in just 2 weeks or less.

someone has invested some btc here Wink !?

but where is it even being traded! i am not going to click on that link and i can not find any information on this coin (MRAI) on coinmarketcap.com and i couldn't find it on the exchange that i use!

correct me if i am wrong but
this means it is either not released or not available on any valid exchange and in other words it doesn't matter if it goes from 0 to 1million because i am not going to invest my coins in somewhere that i don't know like an unknown exchange service.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin trading bots, are they worth it? on: February 26, 2017, 01:43:32 PM
GUNBOT is pretty new one and i have never heard of it before expect in advertisements!!!
but CAT is one of the old bots and i have never heard any complaints about it until today. and the feedback i have heard was good about this bot.

although i have to say i am not personally using any of these bots because i have never felt the need to "pay" and use the features they offer to make any profit while trading.

and also remember that a trading bot, does not mean click a button and make profit. a trading bot only means making some stuff easier for you, so you have to have some trading knowledge beforehand.
947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this crazy? Or is it normal? on: February 26, 2017, 01:37:56 PM
you are making an investment and this investment is one of those types that has high risks, which means you should understand these high risks first and try to reduce them somehow. and if you accept these risks then invest.
you do things like educating yourself first about how things work, then investing while the price is low, and investing in altcoins that have some real future not just an illusion. try reading some of the announcement topics and look at some price charts.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Get ready to buy on: February 26, 2017, 01:28:21 PM
i wish it was that easy to just have a price number in mind and then buy there!
the best thing is to open up some positions (at least a couple of them) and wait for them to be filled, but there is always going to be some of them that will be unfilled and you will be left with less bitcoin that you hoped for and fall behind of the rocket to the moon.
949  Economy / Economics / Re: Is trading just educated guessing? on: February 24, 2017, 02:24:26 PM
Can you really be sure you will profit unless you have insider info?

in trading you can never be sure, it is all about that "guess" that you make. if you are good at it, you can make a more accurate guess and make more profit than you lose and if you don't know what you are doing, you will make far off the mark guesses and lose more than you make.
950  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: February 24, 2017, 02:17:20 PM
Is it wise to buy in bitcoins now at a so high price($1171)?
Do you think it is going to rise a new high level?

if you are going to go long with bitcoin then yeah, buy now or otherwise you may miss a lot of chances of buying anything below $1300 but if you are going to go short then the current price may not be a good idea, just wait a little, it is risky but there may be some small dip before the launch to the moon.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I failed to make a fortune as an early bitcoin adopter? on: February 24, 2017, 02:09:18 PM
Quote
With faith, investors succeed.
With faith, entrepreneurs succeed.
With faith, stockholders succeed.

All of a sudden it became a long term investment. The first time I looked at bitcoin I only saw a short time investment because of its history. It falls so quick then go way up also fast. With that kind of movement people are thinking buy then sell again but you will have to guard it.
But who is really more profitable here. Is it those who put their faith and just HODL or those who buy and sell although risky?
I dont regret selling when it was too early and I dont call that a failure also.

bitcoin surely has a volatile market but also don't forget that price is also rising in the long term because of the potential of bitcoin.
in other words a rising volatile market can be used both for short term and long term investment just as easily. it depends on you to choose one of these methods that suites your strategy.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1139.9 resistance broken, 1142.2 hit (Bitstamp) on: February 23, 2017, 05:54:07 PM
when the pressure to keep the price down is removed price starts rising madly. and these so called "resistances" are broken one after another as fast as possible because the demand has always been there but was hidden with some slight manipulation.
p.s. 1154 and rising. lets see where it stops.
953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are transactions within exchanges traceable? on: February 23, 2017, 05:42:28 PM
something that has not yet been mentioned is the log-keeping-policy.
the exchanges keep logs of everything, and that includes your deposit address, your withdrawal address, your IP address and all the other information you provide to the exchange service by the time of sign up. which makes tractability easy.

but a mixer promises not to keep logs. if they keep their promise there is not many easy ways of tracking.
954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: individual Transaction sizes have been big today! on: February 22, 2017, 01:40:06 PM
is there any tool or chart that shows number of transactions per block for each block. the blockchain.info charts has one (/charts/n-transactions-per-block) but that shows the average number so we can't see the individual blocks per day.

i mostly want to know if the common occurrence of this is new or was common before and i never noticed it.

more blocks:
454186     391
454183     571
454179     519
454177     247
manually checking takes a long time!
955  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: February 22, 2017, 01:23:08 PM
Majority of the gamblers only are seeing it as an investment but for those people that are legit in investing career.

They are not going to consider as gambling as trading, we know that dice games are type of gambling and not just because you are going to deposit and allocate money to it.

You can call it as an investment.
Investments are not the perfect way to make money because they have risks involved in them, if you want to make money you have to work for it hard, and saying gambling is sort of investment is wrong because gambling is all about luck and has no experience or skill involved in it, investments have risks but they are not all about luck.

it depends on what you are investing your money in. if you are investing in something that is low risk but decent reward then it is the perfect way of making money. and that thing you invest in can be your own business that is already established and is giving you money. in other words invest in yourself instead of investing in others.
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: February 22, 2017, 01:16:54 PM
I don't know man every time I play dice or any game that you can lose fast or win fast just with a few clicks I can feel my heart tapping on my throat
loool, how about you?

i wish this was a poll so we could see how many people around these parts are feeling the same way, because it actually is a very bad sign. it shows you are a stressful person and gambling is not suggested for you. because you either will end up with a heart failure or a serious case of gambling addiction.
957  Economy / Speculation / Re: ladies and gentlemen we are above $1100 now! on: February 22, 2017, 01:12:11 PM
Congratulations to all patient bitcoiners. Now they are rewarded for they strong believe in Bitcoin. But don't relax,  I've got a feeling it will hit 1500 before summer

the bitcoin holders are relaxed and they don't even care about $1500 that is still way too low for them (them means me too Smiley ). when you invest for long term in something like bitcoin you open up preev.com once a month to see how much you have made so far in the past year +1 month, 2 month... and maybe sell something like 0.1BTC once every 6 months to celebrate the achievement
958  Economy / Economics / Re: Difference of Trading and Investing? on: February 22, 2017, 01:08:06 PM
Guys sorry for this question above but I would like to ask here that

What is the difference of Trading to Investing?

though I know that I can search it in google but I want an answer from those people who have already experienced this two.
Thank you.

I hope you can help me in my confusion..

Trading is exchanging things with someone else too get a profit out of it. For example I trade a piece of wood for a lighter so I can start a fire.
Investing is putting your money in something like Facebook and you wait for the worth to rise before you have a profit.

well, technically you can consider trading as an investment too.
when you are trading, you invest in facebook (stock) or something like bitcoin and when it is worth more you sell it or part of it to make profit then buy (invest) when it is low again.
959  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1100 broken, ATH incoming on: February 22, 2017, 12:55:42 PM

Where do they get there price from now since okcoin & other chinese exchanges are suspended from trading?

They're still trading. Only Bitcoin withdrawals are suspended.

People can still buy and sell and deposit bitcoins and deposit and withdraw yuan.

and not to mention the huge increase in the localbitcoins trading website coming from the Chinese who moved their trading off those two exchanges and to other places.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Once again, please explain to me why this is acceptable... on: February 22, 2017, 12:51:44 PM
as far as users are concerned, this is not at all acceptable. and we are feeling the effect of it whether by having to wait long period of time or by having to pay much higher fees and still wait.

as far as miners are concerned it seems like they are enjoying their 1BTC-1.25BTC total fee per block.

as far as developers are concerned they only seem to be wanting to say their own solution is good and the other solution is shit, and there is no middle ground so far.

Bank-to-bank fiat transfers within the UK are free and instant.  Just saying....

it is also free in other countries such as Iran, just adding Smiley
i can purchase things with my debit card online or from the shops pos for free or i can transfer money for free online through my account on the bank website with 2 options of immediate transfer or taking up to 2 hours transfer.
