941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 28, 2022, 07:26:55 PM
Any of you guys uses the responsible gambling feature? If so, what do you think about it? Is it helpful or does it only gives you a sense of control

I also consider myself a gambling addict, but not to the point that I'm being sh*t outside my gambling activities.

Even coming from a big loss, I still know my responsibilities, as obviously, everyone should act like that. Being end up disappointed and regrettable is part of being a gambler. It's also just fine to feel sad and not in good mood after a loss because "no one" is excused from being hit by emotional feelings.

As far as my own approach is concerned, there's nothing really specific about what I do to control my bankroll. If I feel like gambling, I will just enter the scene because I do like to do it at that time. Likewise, there's also no specific time when I need to stop. It's all on me depending on my mood.

We just have to follow our own way of how to be responsible gamblers and try to keep it that way.
942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 28, 2022, 07:00:52 PM
Who told you that winning is certain in gambling? If I was the one being asked to play for his/her money, I'd refuse. Winning is never certain in this industry and if I'd play that money, the blame could be on me (even if he/she's the one to ask the favor). Another thing is some sort of regret perhaps you'd win from that amount; think of your gain if that was your capital. So just to be safe from any negative outcome, prevent it in the first place. To those people who'd say "why would he blame you if that amount would loss if he/she is your friend?". Please grow up. It is money we are talking about and it is something which has value. Again, never think that gambling is a shortcut to being rich. Think of how many people gone broke because of this activity.

For that situation by OP, I think we should just let them have their fun. The fact that they are even willing to risk that kind of amount means they are ready to let go of their money. But I think that story won't happen for real not unless that guy is really rich and money is just a piece of paper on him lol.

Sometimes, the worst experience is really necessary to happen for those people to understand what gambling can brings.

I just hope that in case of a worst-case scenario, they will learn afterward, at least.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2022, 06:48:05 PM
Even after the fact that Casimero had achieved titles in various divisions, the governing bodies are thinking that all of it was pointless because they are likely disappointed by what happened recently that led to the worse case scenario where Casimero had to be stripped by his belt. Now, he is back to zero where he have to make his name great again and climb throughout the ranks so that he will be given some points by the governing bodies to fight against the champion or to the mandatory challengers.

I might disagree with that. I'm sure that there's no such thing as top boxing councils and organizations thinking of disappointment.

It's just that Casimero is still not ranked up to be able to qualify for a much bigger fight. Simple as it is, he just needs to keep winning from now on and do everything to work on his rankings and soon, he will be eligible again to fight against top ranks or if fortunate, for another title bout.

Since Casimero started again from scratch, it will really take time for him to be in a discussion at the contender's table again but I'm sure he will be able to reach there soon. I'm biased with that expectation as part of being a long-time PH boxing enthusiast and there are reasons to be believed that it will happen.
944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lesson learned in 2022 for crypto investment and would not repeat in 2023 on: December 28, 2022, 06:39:12 PM

Don't just consider 2022 as the worst as this year also gives us the opportunity to buy coins at their considered cheap price.

We might not see again cheap prices like this when Bitcoin started to fuel its gas again for another trip to the moon.

Since everything is speculative, just do our best to accumulate coins as best as we can. It's good that we are always prepared when the market now started to change its trend. It's not that bull run will never happen again, it's just a matter of "when".
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 28, 2022, 06:35:53 PM

As a die-hard fan of the Dallas Mavericks for a long, I was impressed with the recent win that almost cost them to lose it but got saved by Luka's magic.

My concern is, the fact that Luka needs to average 50 or 60 points per game to win is something not good for me in the long term, especially that with the stats like that per game, they are only winning by a small margin or the worst, they are losing that game. I know he's getting more points like that as he's the main guy for the team but still, he badly needed some help.

As I always said, Mavericks can always rely on Luka's consistency but I do hope that his teammates will also do their very best.
946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 28, 2022, 06:30:18 PM
As small gambler, I dont really care about license but I do care about reputation.
For me a licensed casino is just a plus point but it does not mean that license will affect the reputation of the casino.
And I do not really know what is the benefit of license for me as small gambler, even if I'm experiencing a payment issue with a licensed casino, I wont contact the license but I'll just try to contact the casino and maybe make a complaint in the ANN thread of the casino.
For those who have been in this crypto gambling industry for more than 5 years, you should have known that most of casinos had no license at all but many of them are reputable enough because they could prove themselves as reputable by giving the best services to their players.

That makes sense especially if we talk about those crypto-gambling sites that is running for a long now and already established a good reputation. That's why every time someone is asking for me a suggestion of what crypto-gambling sites should they play, my response is always those sites that already reached the status of being reputable in the crypto-gambling industry.

However, there are users who ended up on a gambling site that is not known well or just starting the early phase of their operation. For that, since the reputation is still in question, at least these sites should have a license because if they don't have that time to comply with simple and necessary requirements to operate, which just requires a bit of effort to acquire, how come users can trust them that they will fully commit on good service.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 26, 2022, 11:53:12 PM
This is why if you are a bonus hunter or something like this then you would really be finding for yourself that these things arent really putting you
on advantage but rather on the opposite.
Then these users you are referring to are not good bonus hunters lol.

A good bonus hunter knows and understands how to take advantage of those and will "ONLY" just hunt those achievable bonuses and promotions that are possible to reach even for casual and average gamblers without spending too much.

They know just by reading the terms if a certain bonus is worth trying or not.
Lol, not just because someone is a good bonus hunter means that they always get to achieve their goal of earning on these bonuses will limited funds to play with.  Also, most casinos' bonuses are made not to be abused which is why it is harder for bonus hunters to earn from it without risking their bankroll.

Good bonus hunter just means that they are better at leveraging their funds while earning from bonuses with lesser risk, but it does not mean that it is always guaranteed that they'll earn from it.

I think you are not getting the picture of what I'm saying.

Since they are called hunters, they are supposed to only choose to participate in bonus-related campaigns if they think that they can handle that properly.

Obviously, these hunters are better at how to leverage their funds but to make it more effective, they will only choose the bonus that will make things smoother compare to dealing with a bit more struggle.

As you said, there's no guarantee that they will earn from it therefore they will be picky on what bonus they will be involved.

That's what a "real hunter" does.

Is there any confirmation that the Bay Area Dragons will be back next conference? I read before there was a plan to bring guest teams regularly, but I was not able to follow that news if it will push through. And if they do bring a guest team, it might not be the Dragon. It can be another team. They have to give their best now, they may not have another chance.

The FIBA scheduling is one of the reasons why it was unclear for now if PBA can able to invite guest teams to the Governor's Cup.

As per the news, according to PBA Chief Marcial, the only agreement is guest teams will be just this conference.

Looks like, no possibility to see guest teams next conference. No time to wrap it up on the preferred schedule. If Bay Area Dragons will consider inviting again, that might be a conflict on their return to Japan in March. PBA's next conference will be on January 22.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If your friend would tell you this... on: December 26, 2022, 11:41:13 PM
I wouldn't play with his money, wouldn't want the friendship to end like that. There's a rule that you don't do business with friends, don't employ them in your company, don't borrow money from them unless you're in deep shit and don't gamble against them, unless they're very chill about it and it's not a lot of money.

Their discussion looks like a chill one. If the agreement is clear and no such thing as in the event of loss, there will be one to blame, they are good to push their plan on gambling that kind of money. As long as they understand that gambling is not a joke, they can gamble the hell of their money even how much it is, and just mind their own business.

Since gambling requires some luck especially playing casino games, I just hope that luck will guide them lol.
950  Other / Off-topic / Re: Team USA will play in the Philippines for the FIBA WORLD CUP 2023 on: December 26, 2022, 11:37:38 PM

Looks like others really questioning the capability of Pinoys to spend big on big events like this. Better stop that average salary discussion lol.

Believe me, the venue will be jam-packed once the event commences here. There are lots of people here in the country who can afford to buy that tickets for that once-in-a-lifetime experience as it's unclear when it will happen again in the future.

Don't stick too much with the idea that Pinoys can't handle the ticket cost. It's "TEAM USA" we are talking about here.
951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 26, 2022, 11:26:02 PM
I think referees need to stop calling charges on monster dunks like that. The defender should meet him in their air to try and block, or get out of the way and let us see the highlight. I think the NBA will do something about this before too long. That play was dangerous for Gordon and everyone would love to see more of it. Defenders sliding under him is the last thing anyone wants.

What's the essence now of having a restricted area if no call will be made for a "monster dunk" attempt?

That play by Gordon is really dangerous but these players don't care about that as they are really feeling it when there's an attempt of doing it.

Anyways, since that dunk counted, it doesn't spoil the fun and can be a candidate for Dunk of the Year.

Besides, why think that a licensed provider can be useful during the time when users are being fuc*ed up by these casinos even with a license?

In order to at least minimized being shi*tted by these online casinos, just play at those casinos that already earned being reputable in the industry.

But honestly, complaints and issues are sometimes because of the user's fault.
954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Licenses and Casino reputation on: December 25, 2022, 04:18:41 PM

Technically and in a much simple description, having a license is a necessary thing to make the business legal. Gambling site owners can't just operate in other countries or regions as that will be subject to legal jurisdiction. Having a license will somehow make it smooth.

how they can help the gambler when a gambler faces issues with the casino; especially when the gambler gets robbed/scammed by the casino? It's something I guess we all should be aware of; I believe most of us don't know at all.

Not sure about this and I'm not aware, but just want to ask a question, is there a case already where a gambling site, specifically with a Curacao license, turned into a scammed site and just went off without any trace? If there is, I don't understand why these sites will apply for a license as even though it's easy to have a Curacao license, the requirements needed are personal documents of its owners and detailed information about their business, and these are strictly screened.

Scam gambling sites, as I see, won't bother to apply for any license.

Same outcome during their game in the regular season, I guess Ginebra had already found a way to limit the 3 point shooting consistency of Bay Area. Well, can't be too confident since it's just a game 1, this is a best of 7 series, so it's sure a long one.

What the hell happened to Dragon's monster shooting percentage at the 3-point area? We called those kinds of shots as "baldog" here.

During the last 6-7 minutes of the last quarter, never even saw them trying to make a rally, and already gave up early which is supposed to be not their usual performance. As the commentators said, the Dragons are being overpowered by the Ginebra's experience playing in the Finals.

Ginebra's LA Tenorio, despite playing for limited minutes and a veteran role in the entire conference, heated up in the Finals when really needs. Well, he won't be achieved being a 4x Finals MVP for no reason.

Let's see the adjustments that the Dragons will do the next game.

The information about how much any Stake players to reach each level is available to be read here: https://help.stake.com/en/articles/4974712-how-to-calculate-your-vip-progress but let me quote it for you to make it easier:

For a user that is a regular user on that site, there's no need to chase level but just gamble on usual. Not even to the point that we should think about reaching those levels. It's not also a usual bonus but that was a LOYALTY REWARD for playing on that site regularly.

It's an advantage for regular players on that site as every bets count as their progress and they just need to continue playing there at their usual. With continued playing, they might not realize that they are already close on such levels even if they are not really targeting that levels.
At least, I agree with what you say because chasing levels is very difficult and requires a lot of money to be spent on gambling tables. But if we play as usual, we will arrive at each level and won't even notice it. We spend our free time playing gambling, there is no specific target and voila, we have made it through a certain level and are ready to move on to the next level.

This also won't be a burden for us because targets will chase us to reach a certain level within a certain period. If we can use our free time to play gambling relaxedly, we will surely enjoy every moment and not feel like we have exceeded the level limit.

Referring to where this series of quotes started, I didn't even realize that I was already so close to leveling up my progress on Stake.

I didn't bother to check my progress as I think that was not achievable and out of hand but I just continue gambling regularly there.

Good to see that kind of program where losses also have a role lol.

957  Local / Pamilihan / Re: (FREE) PBA Finals Competition (guess the winner and the series score) on: December 25, 2022, 03:44:02 PM

Walang nailagay na deadline or cut-off si OP kaya baka di na pasok ang pick namin dahil tapos na ang Game 1 at ang nangyari pa, di man lang dikit ang laban at medyo nagkalat ang Bay Area Dragons at malamya nung last quarter. Obviously kasi, prior to the start of the series ang cutoff.

958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this a good plan at all? on: December 25, 2022, 03:31:13 PM
When I read the topic, we should not confuse the OP. See what he asked:

I'm replying to the sub-reply that I quoted as the discussion now created related branches of discussion.

I already responded directly to what OP is being asked on the subject.

Follow what harizen said that you should ask the customer care before using VPN if it is not stated on the gambling site ToS.

Some users are really not that used to reading TOS especially if they saw a long line of statements there. Cheesy

At least by asking customer support directly, users with no effort on search any terms related to the use of VPN will get, at least, the most accurate answer and response, for them to know what should be the drill.

However, there are users that will just decide to use VPN right away as they think it's just fine. In case of account-related problems later on, while using a VPN, their ignorance is not an excuse but rather face the possible consequences.

If your friend would tell you hey bud I have 10k in BTC lets try to make it 65k. You play on the casino for me.
How would you play? what would be your game pattren?

The first thing I will do is to tell my friend to stop that crap of making that amount target as a purpose why should we gamble. Instead, I will told him that we will try to maintain winning as much as possible without aggressively trying to reach any target.

Second, I will give him a disclaimer that in case of being sh*t, don't blame me for losing that much.

Next, before starting the actual gamble, I will ask this question several times,"are you really sure?".

Moving forward, I will play it on several slots with a $1 bet as a minimum and since I can't control the flow of the game, I will just hope that luck would come to me. I will also consider choosing casino games where the buy-in feature seems worth spending on.

Lastly, hope for the best.

Until there are changes in the Lakers roster, I am not giving them a serious chance of landing the 8th spot, although I am not taking it away the chance to secure a playoff spot thru the play-ins.
That will only happen if Westbrook will get traded, they might benefit from the drama of the Chicago Bulls, and maybe Westbrook will be traded for Lavine or DeRozan, who knows, right? Davis, on the other hand, has only one problem, which is his inconsistency to stay healthy which is definitely not his fault, however, the faith of the Lakers every season heavily relied upon him.

In fairness to Russell Westbrook, I can say that he's performing well overall since coming off the bench.

Trading Westbrook might make sense but saying trading him is the key for the Lakers to improve is still subject to "what if".

The Lakers are doing well recently until Anthony Davis got sidelined again. For let's say Zach LaVine or Demar DeRozan is playing there instead of Westbrook, nothing will really change that much if, on the other hand, Anthony Davis is always out consistently.
