Deal boss, 1k bet for you and you are for Ginebra while i'm for the Dragons. It's understandable that the odds for game one favors for the Dragons but this is a series and odds could change drastically depending on the result of the first game. Good luck guys and have fun this Christmas may you all have a merry one.

Did not open the thread since yesterday and I missed this action. Good luck to the bettors. Exactly, Bay Area seems unbothered about the crowd as they are able to surpass other top teams and make it to the finals, but playing against Ginebra will surely be different because of their aggressive supporters. Bay Area have to be more focus, this will be a long series and those who have a good perseverance and more consistent, will surely take the championship.
They should be accustomed to playing against the crowd right now since they have been playing against the crowd since their first game. Ginebra attracts a bigger and noisier crowd but that should not deter the Dragons. We've seen how persistent and patient they are when playing against San Miguel Beer. They should just apply that same persistence and patience against the crowd favorite Brgy Ginebra San Miguel.

Seemed like the line has not change anymore, the spread is still +2.5 for Ginebra which are the underdog in this game, so we cannot expect a movement anymore. Let's get this on, the game will start in less than an hour, you should not miss the game 1 of the PBA Finals.
Good luck bettors.

That's a good one bro, I will put my prediction immediately before the game will start. I hope the deadline is before game 2 because this one is posted too close to game 1. Anyway, that's your rules, I'm just suggesting.

Plenty of time left and this is still an anybody's ball game. edit: With 2 minutes left, it's money in the bag for Ginebra. Dragon's 3's were not falling for them as usual while Scottie Thompson doing the damage in the third. Hope the Dragons will adjust on the next game.

Same outcome during their game in the regular season, I guess Ginebra had already found a way to limit the 3 point shooting consistency of Bay Area. Well, can't be too confident since it's just a game 1, this is a best of 7 series, so it's sure a long one. What would happen in game 2? Are they going to play Powell already?

Yes, I didn't expect that actually as I was thinking they were able to make the right adjustment already. Bay Area was leading in the 1st quarter and early 2nd quarter but once Ginebra took the lead, they already owned it like they know already what Bay Area will be doing. What would happen in game 2? Are they going to play Powell already?
We have to wait for the announcement, if he is already 100% healthy, then maybe we will see him playing, but in that way, they would also lose their dominance inside.
CONGRATULATIONS TO GINEBRA BETTERS, THEY ARE THE UNDERDOG, SO IT MAKES THE RESULT BETTER.

I do not know if placing Powell this late in the conference will serve the Bay Area Dragon well. It might throw their rhythm right now. But I am with you, they need a consistent scorer right now and Powell can provide that to the Bay Area Dragons. He can score outside and also drive to the rim. Congratulations to the backers of Ginebra. You win game 1. Scottie Thompson is everywhere. Shooting, blocking shots and rebounding the ball. The tight defense of Ginebra made it hard for the Bay Area Dragons to take their rhythm. They were able to limit the production of the Dragon from the three-point area. Let's see what adjustment the coach of Bay Area will do to counter the defense of Ginebra.

What the hell happened to Dragon's monster shooting percentage at the 3-point area? We called those kinds of shots as "baldog" here. During the last 6-7 minutes of the last quarter, never even saw them trying to make a rally, and already gave up early which is supposed to be not their usual performance. As the commentators said, the Dragons are being overpowered by the Ginebra's experience playing in the Finals. Ginebra's LA Tenorio, despite playing for limited minutes and a veteran role in the entire conference, heated up in the Finals when really needs. Well, he won't be achieved being a 4x Finals MVP for no reason. Let's see the adjustments that the Dragons will do the next game.

As far as I know, Powell is already out of the conference that's why we should not at least expect his return. Even though it's reported that he is attending practice, he is not 100% capable to return on his best. If Dragons will be activated again next conference, it's good for them not to risk anything and just allow Nicholson to do his job. I also like the action of both teams idling the ball at the last minute of the game with no such movements and just waiting instead for the final buzzer.

That's too early to surrender the game, but seems that they can't really make a good run and the attempt for long-range shots is not falling for them, Gin kings rotations is effective in today's game as they really give a tough defense for the visiting team's scorers. Experienced wise, Gin kings show the effectiveness of playing with the system. Adjustment is expected for the dragons else. Gin kings will not hesitate to dominate them. Like what I've said from my early replies, Gin kings have the height and speed to match up. The key for them today is the good defense and the aggressiveness of each player to help and make the system well-executed.

Congrats to the Ginebra fam for winning the first game of the series. Well, those that have watched the game live, those that were commuting experienced the traffic and rush holiday hour season. Still, those that have enjoyed the game and saw Ginebra winning, it doesn't matter as you'll still feel the rush of the desire to see them win instead of going home having that lose.

As expected, Ginebra draws a first blood and many celebrates their Holidays watching this live. Traffic was always be there though, regardless of the season. Anyway, Bay Area seems to be more intimidated this time and got disturbed by the crowd, if they want to get some win here then they should be able to adjust and play their best strategy against Ginebra. Congrats to those who are able to place their bet, game 2 will become more exciting.

But still, full support to the BGSM and this is going to be a big accomplishment for them. Beating these heavy giants for the 1st game of the finals is really encouraging and adds more confidence to the team and of course, to the Never say Die fans and family.

Winning the first game is always a good one, this can boost their confidence and I hope they can continue this momentum. Bay Area will bounce back and let’s see if Ginebra will allow then to do that. Waiting for the odds in game two, I will stick with Ginebra here.

I bet 17,000 audiences for Php 300 bet. The winner takes all. Cut-off time is 30 minutes before the game. Just follow-up information that the live audience on that game reaches 18,000 gate attendance in Mall of Asia Arena. Ginebra's charisma is currently in progress and it's even speculated that 95% of that gate attendance is from Ginebra fans. It might be true but for me, it's because the Finals are not just about Ginebra but they are currently representing the PBA and the country against the foreign team, Bay Area Dragons. Congrats to the Ginebra fam for winning the first game of the series. Well, those that have watched the game live, those that were commuting experienced the traffic and rush holiday hour season. There was no heavy traffic in the entire Metro Manila yesterday, December 25. EDSA, C-5, Kalayaan, and other routes leading to MOA have smooth traffic. Honestly, at around 4 pm or 5 pm, it only took me 15 minutes to drive from Munoz footbridge to Guadalupe. That's how smooth EDSA was yesterday whether Northbound or Southbound up to the Pasay area where MOA is located.

One of the reasons why Bay Area loss the game is because they are outrebounded by the Ginebra Kings.
The kind of defense of Ginebra is a championship defense, Bay Area should match that intensity, otherwise they will have no chance against the home team. It's only their import who are playing well, sure they can't win relying on their import heavily unlike the Gin Kings where everyone was contributing most especially on the defensive end.
Imagine this stats, 58 rebounds vs 35 rebounds for Bay Area.

Yes, coach Tim Cone and all of his players prepared for it. They've exerted a lot of effort for all of the BGSM players and that added the confidence for real. They're now more eager in beating the Dragons on game 2. Congrats to the Ginebra fam for winning the first game of the series. That's around the time that you've seen it but after the game, families, friends and all of the fans that have watched the game, they've all struggled going home. So, the time you've seen there's no traffic, it's still early but past that, there goes the heavy built up in traffic that had pushed commuters to go to PITX.
