941  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is BTC futures contract really works? on: June 10, 2019, 03:34:25 PM
You will only risk a huge part od your funds through leveraging. I have tried that before and I almost end up losing half of my funds. It needs deeper understanding and strategy. It's something that you have to focus and learn everything about.
942  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Coin on: June 10, 2019, 03:02:56 PM
We don't need any coin inspired by Bitcoin. What we need is massive adaption so countries would notice and recognize the importance of the decentralized blockchain technology. Bitcoin has been playing a vital role in our society so I don't think any coin could replace it anymore.
943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money for Nothing and your Bitcoin for Free on: June 10, 2019, 02:44:09 PM
This has been happening for years which some of us isn't aware of. Sometimes, we only notice the huge movements of the prices but it could even affect and manipulate every single detail and changes in the market. Whales could cause a pump and dump anytime which we must be aware of so we'll know how to go with the market flow.
944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beating down the U.S. Dollar on: June 10, 2019, 08:37:17 AM
bitcoin is not made to beat anything down, or replace anything. it is just there as the additional option for people who don't like the current available broken options that in most cases are in a corrupted economy controlled by the banks and the governments.
other than that, US dollar has been beating itself down without needing help from external sources.

Agree, it was created to be an alternative not a replacement. However, if the current state of the government will go on, any currency will fall, not just dollar.
945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs in Vancouver To Be Banned? on: June 10, 2019, 08:12:30 AM
I do hope regulations would be best rather than implementing a total ban.
This is the best solution to stop money laundering on cryptocurrencies but the government chose not to do this stuff I think. They cant find ways to get benefit from regulating bitcoin usage, they cant tax every transaction, would be meaningless if they push to regulate the usage of bitcoin so they chose not to and just ban the whole thing.

I think that if there will be a good regulatory platform established by the government they can be able to tax ATM transactions because the ATM machine is not decentralized and there is a business entity behind such a machine. But then again, this depends on which matter weigh more on those in the positions...if they are really afraid of money laundering more than they are attracted to the tax opportunity then the ban can happen soon.

I think this is a better alternative, this would be beneficial to government since they can gather funds from it. However, I doubt if most people would like this since it will cost more to cash out via ATM. Well, this is better than being totally banned.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Books on: June 10, 2019, 07:14:34 AM
Good lists of books worth reading, however, there are already threads that has numbers of cryptobooks here in this forum. I guess would have been better if you will find one and just add it on the thread than creating another thread, just to avoid multiple topics regarding this.
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATMs in Vancouver To Be Banned? on: June 10, 2019, 06:15:43 AM
There are always issue about bitcoin being used for money laundering and such, that is why there will always be something agains the growth and adaptation of crypto. I do hope regulations would be best rather than implementing a total ban.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fans Can Bet Crypto on Twitch’s Top Streamers on: June 10, 2019, 02:21:27 AM
Who is playing Fornite and Apex Legends here?

We can now bet on some streamers based on how they play on Fornite and Apex Legends. Esports platform Unikrn let the fans to wager cryptocurrency on twitch streamers and other sites.

Well it's very unique since betting in eSports is very rare because we must wait for another tournament to bet on our favorite team, but this is different because we can bet every day as long as streamers are existing.

This is great, however I hope there are more games to bet too since there are a lot of eSports games not just Fortnite and Apex Legends. Now we don't need to wait for major events or tournaments to bet on our favorite eSport game.
949  Economy / Gambling / Re: [BITROLLERS.COM] Provably fair slots (Blackjack, roulette, poker coming soon!) on: June 10, 2019, 02:18:09 AM
I just visit the site and it looks like the site is vulnerable to hackers.
And I don't really like the sites that ask for emails or any personal info just to be used.
So I think I will pass to this one even though I like the graphics and it looks good.

Same thought, have seen a lot of casino site that are trying to phish credentials. I did not even bother trying to register and try their platform. There are a lot of gambling sites out there that is easy to create an account.

You can only play against other players.
Don't worry we are improving our UI constantly.

I like the concept and it is the first time I came thru a betting site about crypto price. This will be interesting, I know that there ars still a lot to improve in regards to the site, if you will steadily improve it there's a chance you can have more users in your site. You should also include adding more promotions for your site. Good luck on your project.
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If india bans Cryptocurrency as per the draft law, What happens to the community on: June 09, 2019, 06:12:11 PM
I think it will temporatily affect the market, but the market will recover from it. It would be difficult for Indians to invest and transact crypto if ever the bill passes. It would be risky for them if they will still onvest and hold crypto since it will be also difficult for them to trade or even cash out their crypto due to their country's regulation.
952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [OVER 75% WIN RATE] MORTY BETS - PROFFESIONAL BETTING TIPS on: June 09, 2019, 05:34:03 PM
So you are selling a way to beat the casino?

Why you need money from people if you be a billionaire exploiting casinos?

Your spreadsheet is a BS and proof nothing.

Also, you are bad as bankroll management if this is true (don't worry people it almost for sure not)

Besides there are tipsters that give free services with legit proof of bet and good stats. I don't trust paid tipsters. Would rather go for free than pay for too good to be true stats.

But does anyone control it?

Whales, news, FUD, personalities, and a lot of factors controls, influences and affects the the market. However, no one controls bitcoin since it is in an open market. Whales manipulate the price and it creates a chain reaction since some people panic whenever the prices drop to avoid losses.

954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Accepting Churches on: June 09, 2019, 01:46:33 PM

Have you encountered a denomination near your area accepting bitcoin or cryptocurrency?

Not yet, though crypto is somehow accepted and adapted in my country, churches have not accepted crypto as donations.

Quote
Would you share the same idea to the denomination or faith you are a part of?

If it would benefit churches and other groups or organizations, why not. Cryptocurrency is more convenient to use than fiat since it's faster to use for transactions. However, it still depends on country, if there are only several merchants or places where churches can use crypto, it would not benefit them at all.
955  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper Wallets For Tipping on: June 09, 2019, 01:39:26 AM
It's a great way to promote bitcoin awareness. Some people have an idea about bitcoin but skeptical to go further to know it. So, I guess tipping via paper wallet and asking them to look for how to cash out their crypto.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposed new law to jail Bitcoin holders, miners and sellers in India??? on: June 08, 2019, 09:31:22 PM
I really doubt that law will see the light of the day because that is crude and very unfair. I expect government to make policies that will help guide against money laundering and other ills instead of a total ban on crypto

The proposal is obviously one sided and not taking into consideration the convenience and opportunity bitcoin can bring. I think they believe that crypto is a threat to banks which government has power.
957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apocalyptic Scenario - What happens to Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2019, 07:58:57 PM
In such scenario, the whole of our planet and the human connectivity will be in total chaos, and nothing will work for a while, our system both digital and traditional will be in trouble. So not only the bitcoin is going to be affected. Both such won't happen now, it's reserved for the future.

Everyrhing will adjust and go back to square one. People will less focus on technology, focus on life and living, we will go back to how we do thing traditionally (communications, trade, business, etc.). This might be a good reset for all of us.   Grin
958  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Fueling the Gig Economy on: June 08, 2019, 07:54:57 PM
Freelance jobs is growing in time. In our country some people opt to find jobs online rather than apply for a position in a company. It has a lot of benefits since you can earm bettet, create your own rate depending on your skills, manage your time, no boss your own rule, etc.

Blockchain tech can create even more job opportunities to other people.
959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apocalyptic Scenario - What happens to Bitcoin? on: June 08, 2019, 07:30:16 PM
Massive power outage would make bitcoin meaningless since it is stored and used online. People will not have access on it if that happens. So, I think that is one of the risk or disadvantage of bitcoin. 2050 is too far out, there are a lot of things that could happen, not to mention developments and innovation that could happen. So, you don't have to worry too much about the future.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to safely store big amounts of BTC? on: June 08, 2019, 07:24:01 PM
1 wallet would be enough as long as you secure the pass phrase, keep it safely offline you can recover your wallet using the passphrase on a different hardware device.
