Can anyone tell me how to get a multi GPU rig mining Ethereum with the ethminer-cuda? I have all Nvidia maxwell cards and have tried everything I could to get it to work.  Any thoughts?  My machines run Windows 8.1 and my .bat file is ethminer -F http://eth2.suprnova.cc:3000/pokeytex.cgar/10 --mining-threads 5

thanks in advance. - pokeytex

CUDA SWITCH--

Where is the Cuda switch "-U"?  And, at a pool, you normally need your account number, not a user name.  You need to generate an account number with Geth, the text-only command line wallet.  Check the several CryptoMining Blog articles on how to set up and run Ethminer, several have been linked on recent pages in this thread.

If you are running Windows 8.1 and have 750ti cards, you will not get optimal results, only ~1Mh/s per card.  There is a known bug.

--scryptr

@Pokeytex : Have you tried Genoil ethminer? If yes, which one?

@Scryptr : Here's suprnova.cc command line for ethminer

CUDA SWITCH--

The "-U" switch specifies Cuda coding, the "-G" switch specifies OpenCl coding.  If he has nVidia cards, the "-U" switch is best.  And, I haven't tried to mine with Ethminer on Suprnova, so apologies if they have a different setup than the other Ether coin pools regarding user names.

That being said, there are several good tutorials out there for a miner to research.       --scryptr

Yep, that's a fact, I just copy suprnova's getting start line, I should had chane the -G for -U, my bad Wink

I was using -U but my shares dropped off SuprNova and then I was producing nothing.  I was messing with the settings.  My main problem is that i have (5) GPU's on the rig but only the 750ti shows up.  Does anyone know the command to get all GPU's to work?  I am using Genoil's fork of SP and Trupvot.

So I go and order (6) 1.15y from ZTEX and this is what I get:

"Hi,

I'm sorry, they are out of stock and will not be produced anymore.

There was a customer who ordered the complete stock.

Regards Stefan"

What is the plan to allow for other FPGA mfr's?

Hiya SP - just checking in to see if there are going to be anymore new optimizations to the spreadcoin miner?  Is another donation needed?
I think I can squeze a few percent out of it. It's been a while since I looked at it. Donations are welcome, they motivate me. Smiley

SP - did you by chance get enough motivation to update our SPR miners?  Please please?  Grin

--diff 2 never worked for me on nicehash. it always reported 1/5 of my total hash.  which diff should i be using now?
according to them, it should have worked since day one...
with the new release, you should remove the --diff 2 completely and it should work (please report if it doesn't)

I have instamined vertcoin with a few rigs and have almost reached 1000 VTC 2-3 days.

Is selling VTC at 23k insane or is everyone just dumping daily?  Is there any reason to hold this coin?

To reaffirm - I also see all of my different holdings taking a hit.  I am in (5) different coins and all have been down since the release of Eth.  I don't worry though - just buy more! :-)

I don't get it... so If we hold this coins we have some gains. But do I need to hold them on a wallet like if I was staking them?

Yes, you should hold them on your own wallet.
Because to get dividends your wallet should contain over 10,000 and be registered.

If you hold your Amber on exchange you'll not be able to get staking and receive dividends.

Ok! Thanks, now I get it! I will need to download the wallet Wink

And can you explain me how is the profit distributed? Is it a monthly gain or a weekly gain?

It is quarterly like a stock dividend.

What is the vertcoin.conf solo miners setup?  Can someone please post?

Just like any other coin's conf you just have to use a different rpcport.

Ok ty - does anyone know the current vertcoin rpcport?  Is it 9332?

Ty all for the advice - I think I will just stay on Verters - it seems to be finding blocks fairly frequently.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 11, 2015, 05:19:38 PM
So I have been mining Vertcoin since around 8:00am this morning on verterspool.  I found (2) blocks and earned about 42 coins.  Would you recommend that I solo mine or stay with the big pools?  What are my chances of finding a block solo?  Do you think it is better to mine with the pool in general?  Just looking for advice.  Tks - pokeytex
depends of your hashrate, but probably not.

About 80mh/s

Fyi - I will also be sending out some tips(beers) to the devs after my first cash in!  Tks for all of your hard work.

Verters pool seems ok - is there any benefit to solo mining this coin?  I have about 80mh/s - will I have any luck?  Also, is Give me coins better to mine on?

Weird - I solo mined a block today that paid me 6.50 SPR.  Is that including a fee or something?

What is different about Diamond's PoS system then that makes it not have the usual problems so many other PoS coins have?

Is it a matter of which original type of PoS a given family of coins was cloned from?

For example the setting your clock forward less than two hours but maybe close to two hours, that one is apparently quite widespread?

You do not come across as knowledgeable about these problems so it is not clear that you have enough knowledge of them to actually even have seriously examined your code to be sure they do not apply to it?

For example the recent coin Axiom apparently has the problems, they are claiming to be looking into fixing them.

It is not clear whether the recent coin NINJA has them or not.

So far I have not come across any coherent explanation of which ancestries of coins have them or if maybe all of them do.

The problems are ancestral, dating back I don't know how far, inherited by many coins as they keep cloning each other.

Danbi, Popshot, or Cryptonit (on vacation) can speak to this.
