981  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35,000-$37,000 for Bitcoin in 2023 as my peaking barrier, is breakout feasible? on: April 30, 2023, 07:54:55 AM
Your instinct is probably based on past events. 37k is a little over half of past the 69k high. Many are comparing the current year to 2019 where the price rose slightly above half of the previous cycle. I also think 2023 is similar in scenario to 2019. If so, the price should just hit 35-37k this year and then fall again before the next halving.
982  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: April 29, 2023, 06:45:17 PM
There has been a very positive impact on FTX's planned return to the industry, but surely who would have so much faith in their reputation the second time around? There must be a lot of people asking, what if they were planning an even bigger scam that would make this industry crash even harder than before. I would doubt them, a lot of people would doubt it, but the positive thing is about people getting their money back.

I wouldn't put them as one of the platforms I would trust for any amount of money if they came back, it just puts me at risk because their past track record is too dismal. But who knows, they might still improve their reputation and compete to be first.
it's matter of whether they gonna fall in the hands of new management I guess, even then i'm sure the new management will somehow reach out to the former management, I think you have good point, their reputation is just too tainted at this point that at every of their move will instead trigger massive suspicions, there's also chance as you said that they are planning an even bigger exit but i'm sure everyone gonna be watching this company constantly and sees if there's anything strange, hopefully though the people that deserve reimbursement and refund gonna get what they deserve that the first priorities right now.
The story with FTX is very unclear. So far there is no news on how they are going to rebuild the exchange and how they are going to return users' funds. All there is at the moment is just news that they are going to pay out money and FTT's token pumping has happened.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 29, 2023, 04:53:17 PM
...
...
 I'm comparing the price of bitcoin to the price of amazon or apple stocks. In the beginning they too were cheap, but only after many years has their value increased.

Comparing bitcoin to shares of Amazon and Apple is a pretty modest comparison, I think bitcoin's potential is much greater than those stocks. I don't want to flatter or exaggerate bitcoin, but honestly, bitcoin is possibly the most perfect product I've ever known. It can be both an asset and a means of payment, and especially it can turn us into our own bank that, so far, no technology or asset has been able to do that get this. I think, if it can be accepted and used worldwide, then we don't need to use fiat, gold, or other payment methods because bitcoin includes all of that.

The potential of bitcoin is huge, its value will not stop at $69k or $100k. I believe its value will be higher than we imagine, just like how many people don't think within 14 years, bitcoin can grow from $1 to $69k.
I wasn't talking about the potential or the size of the profits. I was comparing the new for that time phenomenon of dotcoms. Many stocks disappeared as shitcoins. But amazon probably became the most successful, like bitcoin in cryptocurrency. So when the bubble burst, amazon continued on its way and became a successful company. The same can be said for bitcoin and shitcoins.
984  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if BTC won't see ATH again? on: April 29, 2023, 09:35:39 AM
Everything is still in the context of How and Maybe, who can predict with certainty the direction of Bitcoin in the future. Bitcoin movements are not regulated by any party, everything depends on demand and supply in the market. So far I have never seen Bitcoin fail, after experiencing a small or large correction, Bitcoin will always experience strengthening. All of this depends on how you judge your performance and your trust in Bitcoin. It will take time to reach ATH as expected, only time will tell.
It's the same as being called a fluctuation that can go up and down at any time making prices change at any time, bitcoin always has a long history and I always see records of how bitcoin always reaches a peak when a cycle has occurred, why bitcoin can reach ATH because of limited supply and also market supply and demand is always increasing so we believe it will happen again every 4 years where after the usual halving bitcoin reaches ATH again.

So I don't think bitcoin is not ATH anymore while the supply is still limited and the human population now almost likes to invest in bitcoin it will be even more rare and make the price of bitcoin go up again.

OP's suspicion is probable because no asset can go up in price forever, there will come a time when it will saturate. But that won't happen anytime soon because bitcoin is still very new, and many people still don't know about it. With that, we can see that the demand for it is growing every day, we have no concrete proof for the OP, but based on what is going on, we can be pretty sure of the increased price of bitcoin.

But there's one more thing that scares me, people already know too much about ATH after the halving, and I think that will change soon because the game can't be easy forever. Market makers will shuffle the market and make the game harder and harder.
I think bitcoin is really a new thing, like the internet or the mobile phone used to be. There will come a time and people will understand the usefulness of bitcoin. I also think that 69k for bitcoin in the last cycle is not the limit. I'm comparing the price of bitcoin to the price of amazon or apple stocks. In the beginning they too were cheap, but only after many years has their value increased.
985  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: April 28, 2023, 05:34:31 PM
Reaching from 20k to 24k$ is not difficult but reaching towards 80k$ is very high value and I think its not possible to directly achieve the mentioned value. Bitcoin can reach towards higher value but when it's unknown and we should buy bitcoin with the hope of its boosting cost in future.

I think in bitcoin investment one cannot missed the opportunity to buy it because it attain higher costs year by year so we should not think about past but we should use our active mind and brilliant thoughts for future goals. If price enhances from 20k to 24k$ so there's not evidence that it will not come back to the lower price and surely there will be large number of ups and downs because the so many months are still remaining in current year and we don't know about these months that what will happen.
For bitcoin, it is not hard to do 3X in a year or even half a year. You just need to understand what it is in a year. For example, it is definitely not possible now, because next year there will be a halving. So I am sure that in 2025 reaching 80K will be easy. But this year 40-50K would be the high, if statistics and previous cycles are to be believed.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 28, 2023, 03:33:48 PM
~~~
The difference of 11 points that closes the distance between the two rulers of La Liga Madrid and Barcelona is quite far, with seven match remain before La Liga ends it will be very difficult for Real Madrid to overtake Barcelona at the top of the standings, Madrid needs to win all the remain matches in Laliga and hope Barcelona make another mistake again
Barcelona's defeat yesterday, in my opinion, was only part of make the competition at the top of the standings even more interesting, I'm not sure there will be a change in positions one and two.
Forget about the title race between Barcelona and Real Madrid, I think the competition is over this season considering that La Liga only leaves 7 match unplayed. Barcelona still leads the La Liga standings with an 11-point lead over Real Madrid, of course it is a safe point to expect the Catalan team to be able to win La Liga this season after being absent for 3 consecutive seasons.
Xavi is likely to secure his first La Liga title as Barcelona coach, he is ever closer to a success as a coach that will be reckoned with in the coming seasons. His qualities have been credited with being a great player, but his relatively recent coaching career will be recognized if he wins the La Liga title. This is Barcelona's best season in La Liga, they are the team with the strongest defense in Europe until Week 31. Conceding 11 goals in 31 match is a source of pride, not usual season for Barcelona.
There is probably no doubt that Barcelona will win La Liga. Real Madrid have other goals this season, the Spanish Cup and the Champions League. They probably gave away points to the underdogs for a reason. It does not matter for them what place they will finish this season. They will stay in the Champions League next year anyway. Barcelona have done really well this season, but only at home so far.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 28, 2023, 11:58:14 AM
I have XLM holdings, so it's also a good buy but I would suggest diversify your investments to other solid projects also, Top 10 on CMC is the best to buy right now and it will be a good fortune until the bull market resumes and surely it is all worth to buy and HODL for a long term.
XLM is long overdue to be scrapped, as are all the other old shitcoins like TRX or Waves. I don't understand what's the point of buying this old stuff when there are many other new projects on the market that haven't been on the bull market yet. Time is over for xlm. No one will pump up the coin for all holders to profit. The top 10 now and the top 10 in a few years may be completely different.
988  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is on 30k how was your feelings ? on: April 28, 2023, 08:58:08 AM
Short term the chart is showing some bearish signals. Looking at the weekly chart you can see signs of a double top with lower highs. That is pretty much a death knell for short term investments. I personally wouldn’t be surprised if we smashed through $30K any time. If I were a trader relying on chart analysis though, I’d be selling here at $29,600 to buy back around $27,500.
I don't know where you saw the double top on the weekly chart and why you think bearish signals are starting to appear. In my opinion the chart looks bullish since January of this year. The bears tried to drop the price at the beginning of the week, but it quickly recovered. Of course I don't have a crystal ball, but it seems to me that the uptrend for bitcoin is not over and the price will rise. I wouldn't sell now.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 28, 2023, 07:58:51 AM
This time Real Madrid was not lucky enough to play against another team instead of Mancshtyer City while Manchester City is on good form, Real Madrid is a team people expect to see in the final match and they earned many achievements in precious Champions leagues but this time Macnshter City can have more chance to beat Real Madrid because of the previous games we saw from them.
I think for now it doesn't matter whether you're lucky or not, but in the current situation, whether you like it or not or whether you're lucky or not, you have to face it all the same.
Manchester City has ambitions to win and of course revenge for those who lost last season but things like that won't be easy with Madrid's current condition which can be said to still be very possible to put real pressure on in the game later.
In less than 2 weeks their match will start and they need to focus on this match so they can fight as much as possible in this match.
I agree that this will be a difficult match for both clubs, but Real Madrid has more time to prepare well for this game. Now they do not have the motivation to play well in La Liga, so they will put all their efforts to win the Champions League. Manchester City's situation is more difficult than Real Madrid's because they are fighting for the title in the Premier League in addition to the Champions League. I think Madrid have a better chance of winning.
Barcelona's defeat yesterday, in my opinion, was only part of make the competition at the top of the standings even more interesting, I'm not sure there will be a change in positions one and two.
I didn't even expect Real Madrid to still be trying to overtake Barcelona at the top of the table after they were 11 points ahead. An effort that tends to be in vain because Barcelona certainly will not waste many opportunities to secure the title that is almost guaranteed for them this season. Even if Real Madrid can win the title in the last 7 match of the season, I think it will be a struggle juxtaposed with miracles.
But whoever can say anything, for me La Liga is a dead horse that we don't need to hope to revive for Real Madrid for the rest of the season. Ancelotti's focus right now is on beating Manchester City in the Champions League, meaning not on how to revive the dead horse for the rest of the season. The Copa Del Rey final is also very important, so we have to try two finals this season without mistakes.
Real Madrid will have the Spanish Cup final in addition to the Champions League. I was surprised to find out that the Spanish Cup match against Osasuna will be before the match against Manchester City. I think Real Madrid want to win both competitions. But it's a difficult task because both matches will be a short break.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 27, 2023, 05:24:34 PM
Elche's loosing spree is starting to be epic. I can't count how many matches they have lost in a row. Surprisingly, stats are not so bad if you analyse them thoroughly. In the case against Celta de Vigo, the possession, shots, passes and pass accuracy were quite even between both teams. But it seems that Elche is not capable of shooting on target when they have the chance, as you said. And this is eventually traduced in points, of course.
They are the last team in La Liga and can't expect to see Elche winning a game against any team even if they team in a weak team, they totally lost their hope for staying in La Liga and they know they can't be in La Liga for next season because the bad results they got, Elchle won only two games during this season and they lost most of the games they had so far.
I find it strange that, along with Elche, Espanyol and Valencia are in the relegation zone this season. These teams have always been in the middle of the standings and it's hard to believe that they are likely to play in the Segunda next season. Espanyol will be very difficult against Villarreal tonight, as will Valencia.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 27, 2023, 10:12:57 AM
Atletico Madrid are at least qualifying for the Champions League group stage which is like a consolation prize for them. Normally of course winning a ticket for the Champions League is important. However Atletico Madrid are a team that can do much better than this. They must be able to be in a title competition for a long time in the La Liga. They were even a serious contender for the Champions League title back in the day.
But this season their general look hasn't been good at all. Their being eliminated in the Champions League early and being out of a title competition in the La Liga in the same way are big problems to think about for them. I will be curious about Atletico Madrid's changes for next season.
They were La Liga champions not too long ago and played in the Champions League final in 2014 and 2016, most interestingly against Real Madrid. In 2018 they won the Europa League. So after some achievement their performance worsens, after which they start playing well again. Maybe next season will indeed be a good one for Atletico.
993  Economy / Speculation / Re: this pump is because of russia? on: April 27, 2023, 08:52:41 AM
I read this news about Binance returned to Russia,
https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/04/24/crypto-exchange-binance-is-back-in-russia-lifts-restrictions-on-russian-users-report/
i think just returning a exchange don't cause it, but pretty good news for russians
I don't think bitcoin pump is caused because of an exchange. Do you think that because of Binance not operating in Russia, Russians are out of bitcoin? No, they just don't use binance. They have other options to buy/sell Bitcoin.
So there is no way that for Russia the price of bitcoin goes up, it is time for bitcoin to go up.
Volatility is rising because it is the end of the month and futures expirations are coming. As you said it is time for bitcoin to go up, the bullish trend has already started, but it cannot go on without a correction. The correction is over and a new rise has started. I think there will be similar cases in May, when after correction there will be a new rally.
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: April 26, 2023, 03:30:02 PM
even if I were an investor, I would definitely choose an active project and avoid inactive projects, because it is very important that the team and project developers provide new news or developments from the project they are investing in
Mate, the problem is not all of active projects will become a success project in the future.
For example, there are many active meme coin projects out there, but im not sure those projects will last long.
true, being active just one of many cause that could make a project succeed but definitely not the real deterministic factor that gonna make it certain this project gonna succeed.
one could be an active project but still fail anyway because they've got no quality whatsoever. so I agree, not all active project could become success.
I also think that not all active projects will be successful. The activity can be different. For example, some developer may create the appearance of active development on github, but in reality it will be small changes in the code. I believe this can also apply to already successful projects. For example Polkadot was recently ranked number one in development activity on github. But no one knows what that activity is.
995  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 26, 2023, 01:31:07 PM
There was a small correction in mid-April, which many saw as a new trend reversal and a return to a bear market. But in the last few days, the price has returned to its local high again. It was interesting to read crypto twitter, where almost everyone tried to draw charts with further collapse of BTC. This once again proved that the market always moves against expectations.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 26, 2023, 09:05:00 AM
I think we can now say that Barcelona is the champion. Real Madrid shouldn't have suffered such a defeat. You can't be in the title race anymore if you lose points in games like this.  Castellanos had a tremendous performance. He scored all four Girona goals. It is also worth mentioning that he was named man of the match. He was the man who destroyed Real Madrid. With 4 goals from 5 accurate shots, Girona got an important 3 points among the teams competing for the Europa League.
It seems that the absence of some of Real Madrid's core players such as Karim Benzema has indeed had a big impact on Real Madrid. Some of Real Madrid's core players are currently still in the process of recovering from injury. but Real Madrid shouldn't have lost by this much score. because 4-2 is a pretty bad score which shows that Real Madrid's defense is really bad in that match. Girona's quick counterattack destroyed Real Madrid's defense in that match. And yes, this defeat actually also gave Atletico Madrid an opportunity to narrow their point gap with Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid will compete against Mallorca and if Atletico Madrid wins that match then the point difference between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will only be 2 points different. and it will also provide an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to overtake Real Madrid.
Real Madrid puts the Champions League as a priority, of course, because it is no longer possible to compete with Barcelona this season. Perhaps for Real Madrid it does not really matter where they end up this season. The main thing is that they will get to the Champions League next season in any case. They also have a game in the Spanish Cup final against Osasuna where they should also take first place.
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: April 25, 2023, 02:12:08 PM
Almost every day Some new projects appear may or may not generate high returns, others may turn out to be scams or may not turn out as expected. It is my opinion that Investing in any cryptocurrency project involves risks, and there is no such thing as a risk-free investment. While established projects like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Binance may be considered less risky, they are still subject to market volatility and other risks.
Indeed, basically all investments including cryptocurrencies have their own risk impact. However, before investing we need to do thorough research on the coin we want to invest in so that at least we can minimize the potential for large losses. Moreover, not all altcoins are good for investment both in the long term and in the short term.
Now it's getting difficult to analyze different projects because while you're doing your research, the price can start to go up and you're going to have FOMO. Finding good projects is also complicated by the fact that every day there are dozens of new projects, it is impossible to research everything. Some projects do not need to analyze at all, such as mem-money, which, incidentally, also sometimes bring a very large profit.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: April 25, 2023, 12:51:01 PM
In the future, almost all countries will adopt cashless transaction technology.  And it will reach all sectors in everyday life.  And with the technology brought by Bitcoin, this will make crypto currency experience good growth every year.  I think in the future there will be many crypto currency technologies that will be applied in every sector of life.  That's why I believe that Cryptocurrency is a great investment asset for the future.
Well what I can say to this that is there is one thing humans are known for it should be the constant change and this change has been imminent ever since. Human have gone through a lot of evolution since the onset of time and this change has been in every sector including the financial sector, so I think the creation of bitcoin was bound to happened and so also will its full adoption by the nations of world, time is just the supreme factor here. Its been a hell of a ride since the creation of bitcoin and its certainly going to be adopted but only time can tell.
Maybe bitcoin doesn't have to be accepted absolutely everywhere? It seems to me that bitcoin is a free currency for absolutely all people and whoever wants to use it just sets up a wallet and uses it. Bitcoin is already popular around the world, but you don't have to have it adopted on a national level because there is a risk of major regulation, like linking the wallet to your passport or something like that.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: April 25, 2023, 09:19:43 AM
Quote from: Despairo
I must say Manchester City is better than Real Madrid in this season.
Casemiro leaving Real Madrid is a big lose, his performance is stable and he's very good with counter attack strategy. Yeah Real Madrid still have veteran midfielders e.g. Modric and Kroos, but their performance are decreasing due to their old ages. Tchouameni and Camavinga are still need to learn and get experiences. Rodrygo and Vinicius are same, they sometime play very good and sometime not, only Valverde had stable performance.
Now take a look with Manchester City, they have De Bruyne, Grealish, Mahrez, and Gundongan, all of them having stable performance. Actually Haaland don't have a stable performance, but even though he play not that good, his teammates can still score many goals without him.
Yes, Manchester city is better than Real Madrid in this season because the way Manchester city demonstrated in this champions league tournament to qualified for semi-finals easily showed that they are more stronger than Real Madrid. I believe, some of the players that left Real Madrid in this season really affected the team performance negatively because their performance was so poor, despite they made it to semi-final in the champion league competition. I think, Manchester city coach is doing a great job in this season, because his players are doing well in all their position that is giving their fans hope of winning this champions league title this season.
Experience in this semi-final will decide everything. Real Madrid have a lot of experience in the history of the Champions League and many cups. Manchester City can only boast that they played in the final against Chelsea in 2021 and lost. I think they can't win this year either and will lose to Real. Real are here to win another title like they did last year.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 25, 2023, 07:33:52 AM
Roma had to admit Atalanta's advantage in last night's game and the 3-1 win made Atalanta even closer to Inter in the standings. Even statistically, Rome actually controlled the game, it's just that Atalanta had a better chance by shooting on target 4 times and from that all 3 goals were created. Roma were only able to record 1 shot on target and that was the only goal scored by Rome, this result was also lacking to equalize until the end of the game. Roma couldn't maximize this match which made their position now starting to be threatened by several teams below them.
After yesterday's win, Atalanta have joined the fight for a place in the Champions League next season. They will probably not catch up with Juventus and Lazio, but they will compete with Milan, Roma and Inter for a place in the European cups. I think that now Atalanta have an opportunity to fix the tournament position because they don't have many difficult matches left.
