Ich bin kein Idealist, indem ich alles durch die rosa Brille sehen würde.
Ich bin aber insofern ein Idealist, als ich glaube (bisher glaubte), dass man die Welt mit Bitcoin ein bißchen besser machen könnte.
Nun bin ich enttäuscht:
- Projekt "Bitcoin" scheint am stagnablen Kurs zu scheitern.
- Die Menschen lehnen Bitcoin generell als "unsicher" ab und lassen ihre Euros lieber zu 0,5% auf dem Sparkonto. Selbst Negativzinsen von 10% würden keine Trendwende einleiten.
- Die Idee der Unabhängigkeit hat sich fast gar nicht durchgesetzt. Selbst erfahrene Bitcoiner scheinen ihr Guthaben teilweise auf irgendeinem Hotwallet rumliegen zu lassen.
- Betrug und Gier an allen Ecken und Enden.
- Solo-Mining aus ideologischen Gründen (d.h. um das Netzwerk zu stärken) scheint out zu sein. Stattdessen Zentralisierung des Minings. Asic-resistente Algo wie Neoscrypt, Lyra2Re, Quark oder Groestl werden gemieden.
- An Alternativwährungen kommen hauptsächlich die Shitcoins hoch, die premined oder billlige Kopien sind, statt die tatsächlich interessanten und fairen Altcoins mit Mehrwert. Ich weiß, dass es subjektiv ist, aber vielleicht versteht ihr, was ich meine. (Ether ist vielleicht eine Ausnahme von der Regel, obwohl es mich vom Konzept her nie ganz überzeugt hat.)
Bisher habe ich geglaubt, die "Marktkräfte" würden das regeln, z.B. ein Negativzins würde zu einem Erkennen der Masse führen.
Aber seien wir einmal ehrlich, ich war wohl zu optimistisch eingestellt. Bis auf ein paar Nerds - Fehlanzeige! Vielleicht setzen sich Bitcoin und Co. irgendwann durch, keine Ahnung! Die Frage, die ich mir stelle, ist eher: Werde ich das noch erleben??
Wann wird Bitcoin zum Erfolg kommen, in 100 Jahren? Oder bin ich zu ungeduldig?
Na wenn es nur ein Investment wäre dann ja. Nur dann müsstest du dich fragen wo der Wert des Investments überhaupt liegt. Der liegt beim Nutzen und Benutzen von Bitcoins. Wenn du Bitcoins nicht deswegen nutzt dann kann das für dich eine lange Zeit werden. Fang einfach an zu lernen zu traden. Aber mit ganz kleinen Beträgen wie $20. Weil du 100% sicher mehrmals diese Beträge verlieren wirst bis du langsam anfangen wirst doch eher erfolg zu haben als mißerfolg. Na erfahrene Bitcoiner lassen heutzutage höchstens Bitcoins auf Webseiten usw liegen die sie gerade benutzen. Alles andere wäre dumm. Betrug und Gier... tja... der Grund warum ich Escrow geworden bin. Versuche damit das ein wenig einzudämmen. Und ich kann sagen ich hab schon wirklich viele Betrügereien aufgehalten  Nächstes Problem ist die Unsicherheit wegen dem Blocksize Limit. Schau doch mal in den Newbieforen was die Threads da sind. Dass Transaktionen nicht durchkommen und permanent höhere Gebühren vorgeschlagen werden um das zu beheben. Was Bitcoin nicht vertrauenswürdig macht. Man überlege was passieren würde wenn man eine Banküberweisung macht und die kommt an... oder auch nicht... wenn die Bank sich gerade danach fühlt als wärst du nicht wichtig genug. Steigende Gebühren allgemein was nur schlimmer wird wenn das Limit nicht erhöht wird oder Segwit ordentlich schnell Effekt zeigt. Naja, was soll ich sagen... wer würde jetzt auf den Zug aufspringen wollen? Alles unsicher. Und es ist nicht schön anzusehen. |

Ich denke du solltest mal genauer beschreiben welchen Vorgang du haben möchtest. Hast du nun schon Euros auf dem kanadischen Konto oder willst du welche erhalten? Ich sehe auch noch nicht ganz das Problem dass du damit hast.

I know people who did. And I think there is not a single one of them that did not get scammed already by one of these marketplaces scamming them by vanishing with the funds. I mean it's the ideal robbery... the owners can't be known because of the illegal things, they still get trusted and then they vanish without trace...

I doubt it. I think the solution that will happen is that alot of old miner tech will be switched off. If, let's say, 50% of the mining hardware is taken out over some weeks then that means the remaining miners would earn a similar amount they earned before the block halving. In fact more since the fees would not be halved.

It might be that ip-bans doesn't work here. I know that hackers mostly would use a big list of free proxies or such to achieve such tasks.

I guess you imagine something like slowly rising fees, right? In fact it will be exponentially rising fees because everyone has to compete against an always rising amount of transactions. Your right about the exponentially rising fees only if there is no alternative to Bitcoin. In reality people will stop using Bitcoin before fees go to paypal levels. Theymos told it nicely, if ever fees go very high like over 1 USD, increasing blocksize limit can start to be discussed. The point is such high fees cannot happen because it is self regulating - Increased Bitcoin usage means increased fees which means some people stop using Bitcoin which decrease fees - some equilubrum has to be reached, fee size and number of Bitcoin users wanting to pay such fees. Thats why promoting artificially limited blocksize is direct attack to cripple Bitcoin. Yes, it either stops adoption or kills bitcoin by making it unuseable. I somewhat doubt that bitcoiners will jump on some altcoin, I would not count bitcoin forks to altcoins there, altcoins have not the best reputation with most bitcoiners so it probably won't happen. And surely the lightning network won't take over. By now everyone knows the critics on LN and when bitcoin really becomes unuseable and everyone knows a fork would fix it then LN looks like the evil to even the rest in doubt. Besides that... LN is not Bitcoin, it is another network which means new things to install and whatever. It won't happen. Things like that happened already alot and even when they were innovative, they don't really played a big role in the end. It's worse for LN when it really rides on the wave of dying bitcoin when it looks like it could have been avoided but wasn't for reasons. |

The idiots that you describe are the ones that give Bitcoin it's value because they are the ones who are using it. If you go against the wishes of these idiots for too long then there will be no reason why Bitcoin will have any value.
Considering these idiots are complaining that the sky is falling because they need to pay ~$.04 in fees per transaction, I'm guessing they aren't the ones using it. Further, I'd guess they don't hold very many bitcoins at all. But who's to say? Well, there's always Bitcoinocracy.... There was some talks to postpone halving to 2017 but no that idea has failed Bitcoin halving will begin around July 2016 maybe a little later
Could you expand more on this? i think he mean i little early due to the miners mining more coin than the usual amount, diff retargetting is a bitch Isn't block halving connected to a certain block? Then at the correct block the halving will happen. So it can't happen that more coins than the usual amount can be mined. The total amount of bitcoins is fixed. I might be wrong of course. |

There might be a few ATMs that are fully anon but they're probably few and far between. It's up to the operators not the manufacturers as to how anal they are.
Surely fully anonymous ATM in western countries will not survive for very long. Especially in the US where already normal bitcoin exchangers on the street are "hanged" for unregistered money transmitting or similar offend. |

Someone mentioned bitcoin atm in this thread to have cash anonimously: never saw one, may someone already experienced in this briefly explain what you need to withdraw cash from an ATM ( besides Bitcoin ofc ).
I think there are no anonymous bitcoin ATM anymore I think. There was some fighting once the producers wanted to follow regulations to be able to stay alive. Some atm owners didn't want that. At the end it was a question of survival I guess. |

Im Prinzip ist es egal wer welches Tool nutzt. Ich hoffe mal Electrum ist kompatibel mit Core und den Webtools, sodass jeder das für ihn passende Tool nutzen kann. Im Prinzip müssen die Tools ja alle nur mit Public Keys, Redeem Script und P2SH - also Standardmechanismen - umgehen können.
Electrum erzeugt einen Publickey am Anfang wenn man ein Multisigwallet erstellt. Den kann man aber nicht ändern. Ich denke daher dass man pro Trade immer einen neuen Publickey braucht und bekommt. Oder kann man den alten wiederverwenden um ihn mit anderen pubkeys zu kombinieren? |

Anyone else with SEPA withdrawal issues? Mine was put on hold and no response from support so far..
On hold or sending status? Mine was on sending until dargo checked out my support ticket. After that it went through. Don't know why it was not worked on. Send dargo a pm with your ticket number... Status says "on hold". Its my first SEPA withdrawal, so maybe I made some mistake. I have created support ticket two days ago, maybe they have fev days backlog.. Maybe when it is your first withdrawal you might check the verification status you have. It might be that the threshold of money you want to transfer is higher than the level of verification you currently have. Might be they check you out first since it is your first withdraw too. I think it's best to contact dargo. Somehow the support is not really usefull at kraken. Might be that they are overworked because of the current performance issues too. Thanks for help SebastianJu. After fev days support replied whit detailed response why the SEPA didn't go through. The problem is with banks under Raiffeisen Bank group. They are apparently blocking any payment related to bitcoin.. Yes, I heard of that. Though it is not only banks from the Raiffeisen bank group but all banks that use Raiffeisen middle man transfer system (or something like that) too. Which raises the number of banks being blocked for bitcoin transactions... very unfortunate. Can you say which bank you have an account with? I will avoid it... I only know that Postbank is not affected. I'm not sure about Netbank since I did not withdrew to it directly in the last year or two or so. I have my bank account in TatraBanka (Slovakia). My co-worker uses MBank and deposits/withdrawals at Kraken are working fine.. Ah ok. Never heard of it though it is interesting that slovakian banks use the raiffeisen transfer banks too. I wonder why. The problem is that they have no real connection to raiffeisen. You can't find out. Only if the withdraw fails... It's better anyway to have a bank account only for bitcoin. You never want to experience that your normal bank account is closed and all the monthly bookings that were done automatically end up in nowhere so that you have to set up everything again. |

I wonder if all those users that suggest gambling again and again are only in the thread to make a post for their sigcampaign. I mean it might be convenient to stir up shit, getting answers and being able to answer on that.
Otherwise I would not be able to understand how such stupid suggestions like "until they learn ... gambling" or "would suggest gambling. He may earn double the value if his time was good else he need to arrange for another $1k." could come up. I can't believe they seriously believe that this is some art to learn.
If in fact they mean forms of gambling you can actually raise the chances in your favor then ok, if they think it can be done with dice or roulette or something then those guys are misleaded or simply sig spammers or potential activity collectors or something like that.

Im zweifel eben Escrow service nutzen ... aber bei all den reputationen sehe ich da auch eher ein geringes Risiko .
Wobei Cardingprobleme eher nach vielen Monaten auftauchen. Wenn die Beträge klein sind dann fällt es den Betrogenen Kreditkartenbesitzern sicher eher weniger auf oder sie denken es lohnt sich nicht dagegen vorzugehen. Aber MrLehmann setzt so große Summen um und die Bestellungen sind auch nicht aufgeteilt in ganz kleine Bestellungen wie es ein Carder machen würde. Naja, Vorsicht ist immer gut im Bitcoinbereich aber ich denke es ist sehr unwahrscheinlich dass es wegen MrLehmann Probleme geben wird. Ist nur meine Meinung. |

I would go with trading it. Its only a grand and they can learn the value
of money early along with how important it is to make money to invest.
If they lose it, its a cheap lesson on how risky trading can be and maybe saves
them thousands when they are older and make real money. Either way they
arnt gonna learn anything just saving it. I think taking chances while young is
smart.
Using the whole grand for trading is not a lesson, it's disappointing and disencouraging. You don't know how much money it is for the person and for the father. Even in developed countries people need to work in a not so bad job to get that amount of money in some weeks. So you even don't know if he will make serious money at one point. Putting everything into trading is simply wasted money. If he wants to trade then he should start with trading maybe $20 of that account. Because it is pretty sure that he will lose that amount tenth of times until he might figure out how to deal with it. |

Es betrifft ja alle hier, daher als post und nicht als PM. Ich wünsche mir natürlich das alles legal abläuft, da ich diesen Service ins Herz geschlossen hab. Aber mir wäre es trotzdem recht das es klargestellt wird und wir Kunden auf der sicheren Seite sind. Gruß Wie ich am Anfang des Threads schon geschrieben habe kenne ich MrLehmann schon von Purse.io. Und es gab nie Probleme irgendeiner Art. Besonders bei den hohen Summen die er umsetzt ist es praktisch ausgeschlossen dass da was schief läuft. Worauf themerkle anspielt, es gibt solche Fälle. Bei purse.io zB. Ist mir auch mal passiert. Musste zur Polizei wegen einem Zahnseidenhalter für 6€. Aber purse.io hat gute Besitzer. Die haben sich mit der Polizei in Kontakt gesetzt und erklärten dass ich nichts dafür kann und ein geschädigter Dritter bin sozusagen. Aber MrLehmann vertraue ich da vollkommen. Obwohl das im Bitcoinbereich natürlich immer vorsichtig genommen werden muss. Deswegen sage ich nur dass ich ihm vertraue aber sich jeder ein eigenes Bild machen soll. Ich bin nicht verantwortlich wenn ich irgendwie doch falsch liegen sollte. Es erscheint mir nur sehr unwahrscheinlich.
