981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rimbit?LOL what is this shit? on: August 23, 2014, 01:12:48 AM

982  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Phishing Attempts to be aware of on: August 22, 2014, 11:18:18 PM
Always keep an antivirus (I use avg) on a PC holding or transferring bitcoins. If you lose your bitcoins, your loss, whereas with a bank they usually refund any fraudulent transactions. ESPECIALLY if you are actually holding the bitcoin wallet on your harddrive, like bitcoin-qt. Never open any suspicious emails, and use common sense.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: ready for $400 again? on: August 22, 2014, 06:18:10 AM
I would hate to have a lot of money invested in bitcoin right now, it would definitely be hard to get a good night's sleep. I'm sure a lot of people are getting tired of seeing their investments struggle and gradually lose money, and are probably cutting their loose to sack it away in the stock markets or spend it on newegg.

lol what?  omg spend it all on newegg now!
No time to explain. Honey we are going to spend our life savings at newegg.  Grin
984  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: The PERFECT ponzi - guaranteed return of 10x your bitcoin. HOW? on: August 22, 2014, 06:14:06 AM
This is genious. This is simply the epitome of human ingenuity. Today is the day that we can instantly get 10x our money, for free off some person on the internet with a negative trust rating. How could it get any better than this? I am selling all my assets to invest into this miracle, I will become rich! Thanks guys, I'll be buying 10 Ferraris and getting all teh b*tches

Russian dashboard cams catches the absolute craziest shit in the world lol  Cheesy
Have you ever seen the one with a house falling off a truck and the house is just sliding along the icy road like its just another car going down the highway? That ones pretty crazy.
986  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there a good blockchain parser that is not Linux? on: August 22, 2014, 06:06:15 AM
Yea I'd like a parser, I would like to develop blockchains for other currencies, but querying addresses is impossible with the current daemons, because they aren't part of your own wallet. A solution like this that simply connects to a daemon and runs would be awesome.

Thanks for the giveaway, I wish you luck on your website. Your website could use a little work though.
988  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Paid to Click Bitcoin websites on: August 22, 2014, 06:01:56 AM
Faucets are pretty useless for bitcoin, but for small currencies like dogecoin, they are very good because if the value of them rises like crazy you will have lots of money. Imagine collecting 0.1 btc per hour on a faucet 3 years ago. At the time it would be worth nothing, but now, 55$ an hour for clicking one thing and entering a captcha? Thats crazy! For the other altcoins, faucets are a necessity for me because I develop lots of scripts using daemons for other altcoins, and I need some coins to test them out.

990  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why people scare to show their identity if they are doing legal on: August 22, 2014, 05:58:09 AM
I hate giving out information, even to companies like paypal, who knows that they do with that information, if a rogue employee gets ahold of it than many bad things can happen. The only party that should have complete ownership of your information is you, thats why bitcoin is needed, you should be the only person with access to your own money.
991  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your favorite video games of all time. on: August 22, 2014, 05:55:08 AM
DotA 2 is my personal favorite right now. I just started playing portal 2, seems awesome, I was hooked on minecraft for almost 2 years, probably my most played game of all time, I played dota 2 starting maybe 6 months ago, it will catch up though. I used to play skyrim alot before I took the PC master race to the knee and I couldnt move my save data over to the ps3 so I didn't bother replaying 150 hours.

993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinions] IF you could improve/add/remove 1 thing to bitcoin what would it be? on: August 22, 2014, 05:49:04 AM
I agree with transaction times. I know its a lot less than other payment providers, but those are impossible to reverse maliciously, other than chargebacks, which aren't present in bitcoin. Bitcoin you can easily double spend the minute you leave the restaurant after paying, while its still unconfirmed, and get your money back and free food, and the restaurant couldn't do anything about it. Also waiting around for 10+ minutes is simply not possible for bars or restaurants, because aint nobody got time fo dat. Also because of the block size limit, more blocks would increase scalability.
994  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmay.com - buy on amazon and mail forwarding if not eligible to your country on: August 22, 2014, 05:44:44 AM
Sounds like a good service, what is the average fee in percentage, and I would like to see some previous purchases with feedback before I buy from here. I live in Canada and our amazon.ca is trash so I would love the amazon.com treatment.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When in StorJ launching? on: August 22, 2014, 05:40:46 AM
Let's get a good Storj versus Maidsafe versus Metadisk versus DriveMiner conversation going.

I am interested in what the differences are and the pros/cons of each.

Is there anyone that has looked closely at all of these and formed an opinion?
Aren't they all the same? I think 3/4 of them are all the same company, maidsafe is different lol. I can't wait till they get out of beta so I can try it out.
996  Other / Meta / Re: Congratulations BadBear! on: August 22, 2014, 05:38:22 AM
Wow congrats, how does it feel to be the 2nd highest in position (theymos is still owner right?) in the largest by far bitcoin forums in the world. In the future, you will be known as the 2nd in command at bitcointalk, the forum that got bitcoin started  Grin
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: August 22, 2014, 05:35:49 AM

998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When in StorJ launching? on: August 22, 2014, 05:23:05 AM

999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Quick Question: Scrypt | 13mh/s | Free Electricity on: August 22, 2014, 05:05:38 AM
I used clevermining while my 1mh/s was still profitable, that pool was great, they were always above the rest on profitability and they had direct address payouts. Give them a shot
1000  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [FREE] BitcoinDice 1.0 - Free Open Source Dice Script - Run Your Own Casino on: August 22, 2014, 05:04:37 AM
This one has a backdoor in it. I examined the code. Beware.
Could you show us where? We already found one part of the code where the deposit address is the OPs address, meaning that deposits will go to him, but that is fixable.
