1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Question on Credits Left on a Slot Machine by Someone Else on: October 01, 2023, 09:17:12 PM
There is a general rule in land based casinos that a gambler shouldn't take credits left on a slot machine by someone else. Basically, from what I understand, if there is still credit showing on a slot machine. Don't cash out or add to your money you put into the machine. Right? The question is if you find a cash out voucher resting on the machine itself or on the seat, can you legally use it?

Unwritten official rule inside the casino premises that never take those vouchers not unless it's clear that the previous player intentionally left it.

It's just that if these vouchers are ignored, other stalkers will likely take advantage therefore just go with the flow and have that to ourselves. Some staff are serious about looking at these attempters but there are staff that just allow those stalkers to look for those vouchers as long as they are not creating a serious problem inside the casino.

If no one is looking, someone can take that voucher, and used it like nothing happened lol.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 30, 2023, 10:20:38 PM

Maybe it's your time now to hit that huge odds. Enjoy it, mate. That kind of experience is really common and usual to see on some bettors. At least, in the whole time of bettors experience doing sports betting, there will be at some point that they will nailed a huge odds.

However, don't expect that hitting such huge odds will always happened.

It's not about luck but in sports betting, those huge odds are being provided based on factors set by bookies.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: chart reading and prediction on: September 30, 2023, 10:08:06 PM
everyone on twitter, insta reel and youtube is making prediction related to different cryptos based on chart lines. Do you still believe these chart reading?

As long as the prediction came up with a good analysis, it's good to consider as one of your future references on your next trading action. The market is unpredictable and too volatile, therefore, at least we don't just want to rely on instinct, emotion, guesses etc. on what would be the best possible actions. Don't approach trading like that.

Chart reading is obviously not 100% accurate but since it uses some tools and indicators, we can somehow able to predict some scenarios and design a strategy on that situation.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exploring the potentials of bots in portfolio management on: September 30, 2023, 09:58:07 PM

Someone can correct me here and if I'm wrong about this but I do believe there is no crypto-trading bot yet that will automatically do all the actions based on its own generated market situation (maybe AI?) that will happened next. It's even risky to just allow these bots to do all the moves? Crypto is volatile and even bots won't unlikely to predict the closest possible thing that can happened.

The purpose of using a trading bot is to execute actions based on the algorithm on your own. In that way, you are sure that your bot will just follow your own command and not to trigger something that is AI generated. Who knows that it might execute an action that you are not expecting since you rely all the work on that bot.

Anyways, you can also consider searching for a copy trading feature.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 30, 2023, 09:44:40 PM
Instead of outrightly banning gambling, how about if the concerned countries officially include gambling education in their academic syllabus, just like sex education is taught in schools. Gambling education will teach the young ones the dangers of gambling and promote moderation in gambling. Will this not be a better way to handle the gambling cases?

Countries do have their own big reasons why they ban gambling. We can't just simply say that they can instead add a gambling related subject as part of the education. Remember that culture plays a big role on gambling status of a country and also how worst the gambling-related crime on that country.

Just let these countries that implement a gambling ban to be like that.

It's just simple, if gambling is against a law, then comply with it. Face the consequences if want to face the risks.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ban from a Casino for Nothing Other Than Winning Too Much Money on: September 30, 2023, 09:34:48 PM
It really happened but I believed we can't considered that as a usual scenario in land based casinos.

In fact, these casinos like big rollers and gambling whales as they are the who are giving more revenue to the casino. Even one of these whales was able to grab a big winning, expect that the other whales are losing too.

Not unless a gambler is really a GodFather of luck and grabbing crazy big winning regularly with only few losses in the process, it might trigger the alarm of that casino to do something with that gambler.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 30, 2023, 09:25:19 PM
TheIf Tapales would be able to beat up Inoue then for sure it would really be the biggest paycheck on his career and at the same time it would really be a big boost up
into his popularity if he could really be able to pull this upset knowing on how heavily favorite Inoue is.

The Monster is crashing and dominating every of his opponent since his inception in boxing. Beating him is really a big achievement to anyone especially if these boxers will give Inoue the first defeat of his career. Tapales won't earn a big paycheck here as the split is fixed however being the undisputed champion now at Super Bantamweight, he can now expect a big paycheck on his next future fight.

For let's say Tapales won, not just it will be the biggest upset of the year but maybe a candidate for the Fight of the Year.

The most exciting is the welterweight class which I think Inoue will stay longer to fight top ranks.

I also want to see Inoue reaching as far as Welterweight but for now, it's too early to speculate if he will go beyond that.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: September 30, 2023, 09:08:26 PM
Governments and several organisations work to encourage responsible gaming. This involves establishing betting restrictions, offering support to those who think they have a gambling problem, and participating in self-exclusion programmes.

Responsible gambling will start from ourselves.

No matter how these institutions is pushing their agenda of responsible gambling, if the gambler itself will not participate, expect that the road to good change will have a tough process.

Good thing that it's not just the government who are doing their best to provide assistance at those who already fall on the trap of gambling but there are also several private institutions now that also giving assistance to those unfortunate.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: September 30, 2023, 08:58:05 PM
Is there any effective way to make sure youths stays where the are told to stay instead of looking for quick money? Gambling isn't the solution to poverty it will possibly drown you deep into more poverty.

Effective way in general? I think there is none.

These youths are obviously have their own family. It will depend on how these youths will grow up on that family. Their own family will construct them to become a better and responsible person while they are growing up. Just trust them to grow up nicely.

We can't solely just consider gambling as the reason why turned sh*t.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: September 28, 2023, 11:53:58 PM
Trading is a lifetime skill that is always beneficial if you know what you are doing, the biggest mistake of traders is trading alt that most times doesn't obey market structure,
when it comes to cryptocurrency, trade only Bitcoin.
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure, for the past 2yrs I have been trading, I only have losess only when I trading Alt, price action trading I utilize will trading always gives me result when trading Bitcoin, but when it comes to Alt I really do feel as if am gambling, so my fellow traders, trade only Bitcoin, I don't know if anyone feel the same way?

If that's how you looked between Bitcoin trading and Altcoin trading, you can stand your position with that.

But honestly, the majority don't have that same feeling as you as most traders not just deal with Bitcoin trading but also Altcoin trading. I don't know the reason why you ended up thinking that altcoin trading suc*s but maybe I will assume that before you are mostly driven by the hype by these altcoins and ended up being late in action and that results in you feeling disappointed and regret.

Well then, just do your very best at the stuff you have chose, which is Bitcoin trading.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 28, 2023, 11:43:12 PM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?

As long as I want to continue depending on that particular game, I will just go for it.

Sometimes, there's a game that I really want to interact with regardless of the outcome I'm experiencing at that game. Obviously, you won't stick to a game that you are not interested in in the first place. We can really have a bad outcome playing that game and referring to my personal experience, it's not that I always have a bad outcome on those games I played even before.

Maybe I will just used the term dislike as far the very from start, I'm not touching games that I think I will have a bad outcome.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 28, 2023, 11:31:54 PM
How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

Why should you lie? Direct answer them about what they saw and feed their mind with knowledge.

Besides, I don't find that kids will have such interest right away if they see will a gambling ads while they are watching.

Like any other advertisement, they will just ignore it and hit that "SKIP" button as they don't want to be interfered on what they are currently watching.

Don't stressed about it mate. That's not an alarming. It's impossible for me that those ads will trapped our kids into gambling. Just do our best to keep them educated in several things like gambling or any other activities that's not fit to them yet.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 28, 2023, 11:21:15 PM
Lost in the whirlwind world of day trading? It often feels like a maze with big folks and their flashy tools, leaving us hoping for a stroke of luck. Imagine ditching the tricky charts for a simple, real coin flip, person vs person, with a fair 50/50 chance. No gimmicks, no house edge, just a clear, honest game.

What’s your take? Does day trading seem more of a gamble compared to a straight-up coin flip

It might look like you are gambling money in trading, the same as how you gamble in the usual gambling, but will you just allow your own money to be gambled there without even trying to increase the chance of winning? In other words, trading and gambling have different approaches.

Let's not make this too technical. Depends on how you look at it, then just keep it that way.

What matters is, regardless of where the big gamble is from either of those, don't always depend on your luck - associate it with strategies.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 24, 2023, 10:49:51 PM
In this situation, the management is at a disadvantage because if they oblige Lillard to play and he does play, they will have to pay him his salary. However, the question remains: will Lillard still perform at the same level as he did before he demanded to be traded?

In the first place, who's the one to blame at the start? It's not new that Lillard always hoped that the team would try to improve every next season and he's vocal about that every time especially when the Blazers are being eliminated in the playoffs. The Blazers failed to surround Lillard a good role player and in fact, they aren't even making some effort to land a big fish either on trade or in the free agency.

If not, then the Trail Blazers will risk losing fans, viewership, and revenue. That's the bigger picture I see if they continue to force Lillard to play.

Generally, the home crowd is not just watching the home team literally why they paid for their tickets. If the home team is up against a top team with popular NBA players on board, expect that these people will pay for a ticket. However, expect that most games of the home team will have noticeably less audience if their record is at worst.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see any value in move to earn crypto projects? on: September 24, 2023, 09:51:29 PM
There are some move to earn projects like stepn, stepapp etc . Do you see any value in them or it is just a death spiral?

Not familiar with those but the general rule of thumb is, to improve and enhance our DYOR before engaging in something.

If you are an experienced lurker at those types of projects, somehow you will able to speculate if they can create a sort of hype. Generally, as we always witnessed in the altcoin world, remember that without hype, these types of projects won't last long even with how good the project concept is, in most cases.

It's not wrong to take part in those projects as long as you know what you are dealing with.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 24, 2023, 09:35:38 PM
Yes, in terms of leadership Brownlee is reliable and with experienced on how coach Tim work with his players I believe that it won't be hard for him to decide in taking over when the team needed him the most, plus the players who's playing around him is not new most of them already have that chance to play alongside with him.

Honestly, that was the key reason why before, Justin Brownlee was even pushed up by some fans to play in the FIBA World Cup instead of Jordan Clarkson, even though the latter is playing at an NBA-caliber level. There's a clear ball rotation if Brownlee is on the floor, unlike Clarkson who mostly, plays in isolation and and designed for him.

Coach Tim also knows how to utilize each player on the current roster since it's not new to him handling these guys, especially his Ginebra players.

Excited to see their match against Jordan a week from now, the toughest team in their bracket.

Maybe they will try again next time with Brownlee if he can still play, or perhaps the outcome of this tournament will be the deciding factor in choosing between the two. If Gilas wins the gold, I think they will stick with Brownlee, as that way they will be able to save some money compared to Clarkson, whom they reportedly paid $1 million.

Jordan Clarkson somehow is just available to play for the nationals outside NBA season.

Therefore, Justin Brownlee is expected to be the most used naturalized player of Gilas in the international league. But I'm sure regardless of Brownlee's performance in international leagues, once it's time now for the preparation of the FIBA World Cup, SBP will still keep Clarkson as the Gilas' main naturalized player or if he's available at window qualifiers.

Although yes, SBP does really spend a huge amount to pay Clarkson.

If I'm not mistaken, the Utah Jazz gunner is even part of the Top 10 most-paid players in the recent FIBA World Cup.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: September 24, 2023, 09:18:25 PM
Maybe I'm stressing out too much because I'm yet to find proper housing to establish myself again after being away for over a year in the military. I'm generally an anxious person myself, but does anyone else feel the same, and how do you deal with it? How do you stay optimistic?

Being anxious is something that's not easy to deal with. I too have an anxiety where in fact it should be easy to deal with. There are people who don't understand what being in that state is and will just say, "come on dude", like it's just a simple thing to overcome.

But are we going to just allow ourselves to be eaten alive by our anxiety? Even with how hard and tough it is, there is no choice but to make something out of it and don't let it be our distraction as if we allow that, we can't think of a better way on how to deal with our problem.

How to stay optimistic? I'm just looking at my kid and that gives me strength.

And will ask a question, how can I able to guide him while growing up if I allow myself to be trapped in my anxiety?
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is www.teslaxswap.com fake or real exchange? on: September 24, 2023, 09:00:40 PM

Too good to be true, mate. There are lots of the same schemes already since then but just different site names.

A "common sense" is enough to determine that there's no such thing as that.

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 24, 2023, 08:18:35 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.

Obviously, considering gambling a form of income or a sort of money-making scheme shouldn't be a usual practice as it's not possible for everyone.

Yes, there are few gamblers who are able to keep their gambling career as their main source of income but they were able to reach that status because they build it alongside their unique skills. Aside from that, I found it too risky if we rely on our financial needs for something that requires luck + skills just to have a good and decent winning in return.

Is gambling all about luck? Simply, yes but there are gambling types e.g. sports betting, strategy-based games, etc. that do not rely and depend too much on luck but rather gamblers on these fields are working on something to somehow increase their winning chance rate.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 24, 2023, 08:08:14 PM
Let's see if he is true to his words. I heard before that Inoue said he wants to fight Casimero in the bantamweight division, but it didn't happen. They could have gone for a unification fight in the past if Inoue had accepted Casimero's challenge. Instead, he waited for Butler to win when Casimero was disqualified, so Inoue would have an easier journey to become an undisputed champion.

I think it's not appropriate to say that Inoue had an easy journey to become an undisputed champion in the Bantamweight division. He is really dominant and strong after all and that's not even a question. Adding to that, Inoue doesn't have the final say about these negotiations, it's on his promoter. During that time you are referring to, Inoue was vocal in organizing the fight between him and Casimero after the latter's series of trash talk.

And basically no, Inoue didn't wait for Butler to win against Casimero. In that particular situation, we should just accept that Casimero's camp is the one to blame for why he got disqualified as they are not aware of the British Boxing Board of Control terms which in the first place, they should know the do's and don't before the fight. And take note that even prior to that incident, Casimero had a weight issue that's why the supposed fight between him and Paul Butler got delayed.

Moving forward, I don't think it makes sense to just put the blame on Inoue as to why the fight didn't happen between him and Casimero.

But let's not think about their fight for now. Who knows maybe Marlon Tapales will surprise us on the day of the fight? He knows his against a strong wall but it's time now to show the boxing community that it's not just Casimero from the PH who can possibly fight Inoue toe-to-toe but also him.
